Outgoing Miss Universe Demi-Leigh recently took time to reflect on her journey as Miss Universe. She took to social media to celebrate the anniversary of the day she took home the crown.

She shared a video from that night a year ago writing: “On this day a year ago my life changed forever. What a defining and life changing moment it was being crowned Miss Universe 2017. Forever grateful to everyone who believed in me and my dreams just as much as I did. South Africa, thank you for trusting me to represent you. I’m still in awe of God’s grace and the surprises he blesses us with.”

On the 17th of December, Demi-Leigh will hand over her crown to her successor at the Miss Universe pageant to be held in Thailand.

Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Neil-Peters is packing up her New York apartment. This is as she prepares to hand over the title to her successor.

The beauty pageant will be taking place in Thailand.

Demi-Leigh has been living in New York since winning the Miss Universe title in Las Vegas, last year.

Sharing a photo of her dog sitting on her suitcase, she wrote: “Not having the best day. This is all I needed to put the biggest smile on my face!”

Dressed in a snake print suit with large hoop earrings and over-sized sunglasses, Demi-Leigh was stunning and chic.

Her hair was styled in loose curls as she walked the streets of New York.

Demi Leigh is currently in Thailand for the preparation of  the 2018 Miss Universe pageant, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters got to meet the Princess of Thailand, Sirivannavari Nariratana.

The beauty queen shared a post on Instagram thanking Princess Sirivannavari for a dress she had presented to her as a gift.

The photo that was shared on the official Miss Universe Instagram account had the caption: “Life is good, especially on Fridays.”

Demi-Leigh therefore looks good in a super-fit grey sportswear, rocking a ponytail and a jacket tied around her waist.

Miss Universe Demi-Leigh was in attendance when Nariman Khaled was crownned Miss Egypt Universe 2018. This happened in Cairo.

Demi-Leigh was on the judging panel that saw Nariman crowned.

She later took a selfie with the newly crowned queen, writing: “Congratulations Miss Egypt 2018. See you in Thailand!”

She will officially hand over her Miss Universe crown in December.

Demi-Leigh recently traveled to Lebanon for a beauty pageant, and has thus decided to make a stop in Egypt.

While here, she got to see the Pyramids of Giza. Her excitement was evident as she posted photos from her time there.

“I got to see the pyramids of Giza today!!! What an incredible experience!” Demi-Leigh wrote.

In another post she added: “Getting to see the world and all it’s wonders sometimes feels unreal (sic).” 

Her reign as Miss Universe comes to an end in the next two months, but until then, she is making the best out of it all.

Straight out of Lebanon ,Demi Leigh is enjoying site seeing in Egypt.

The Beauty Queen was in Lebanon to judge  the Miss Lebanon pageant, is now in Egypt where she got to see the Pyramids of Giza.

Demi jetted off to the Middle Eastern country of Lebanon where she attended the Miss Lebanon pageant.

She indulged in some local cuisine and sight seeing in the city.

She was in Lebanon for the Miss Lebanon pageant where she took to the panel as one of the judges for the competition.

Demi-Leigh’s boyfriend Tim Tebow recently released his new book and she was there to show her support for him.

Tim’s book is a motivational book titled This Is the Day: Reclaim Your Dream. Ignite Your Passion. Live Your Purpose.

In showing her support, Demi-Leigh posted a photo of herself reading the book.

She wrote: “It’s always fun travelling but even better when you have good company. Congratulations on your new book @timtebow. I’m so proud of you.”

Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters has been in New York. While there, she made sure to attend the unveiling of a Nelson Mandela statue at the UN.

“Yesterday, #MissUniverse @demileighnp had the honor to attend the unveiling of a statue of Nelson Mandela, a gift from South Africa to the @unitednations,” a post read.

Demi-Leigh’s parents were in New York to meet her boyfriend, Tim Tebow.

Tim’s parents were also part of the equation, making it one big happy family.

Demi therefore took to social media  to share the moment, writing: “So blessed and grateful to have time with my parents and another really special family.”

News about the two being a couple broke out in July, during Tim’s interview with Pedro Gomez of ESPN. Demi then later confirmed the news.

Last year, three months after being crowned Miss South Africa, Demi-Leigh was hijacked. She recently sharedthe story of her escape from the hijacking incident on US talk show, Megyn Kelly Today.

Demi-Leigh took time too to talk about her campaign that she started immediately after the ordeal. She refused tto let her fear get the better of her.

“I remembered after that I was traumatized, I was shattered, I was going through so many emotions. But I told myself I will not be a victim of fear.”

Demi Leigh visited three cities in Ecuador to attend several charitable events hosted by the Miss Ecuador Organisation.

According to Angelopedia, Demi-Leigh’s first stop was at the Guayas Red Cross, where she met with people affected by natural disasters.

The 22-year-old South African beauty then participated in a parade of floats. She was joined by Miss Ecuador International 2018 and Miss Grand International Ecuador 2018.

Demi Leigh , shared a beautiful message on social media for her little sister Franje’s birthday on Tuesday.

Franje was born with subtotal cerebellar agenesis, a rare condition that has left her without a cerebellum. She has the intellectual ability of a three-month-old baby and can’t walk, talk or eat and is fed through a tube, Demi-Leigh previously revealed to YOU.

Even though she couldn’t be with Franje on her special day, the brunette beauty wanted the world to know how much she loves and misses her sibling.
