Eko Dydda – I was almost killed for not knowing my vernacular language

Kenyan gospel rapper, Eko Dydda sadly recalls days when ethnicity cost him his life.

Reminiscing Kenya´s dreadful 2007/08 post election violence, the father of two reveals how lack of conversance with his mother-tongue almost cost him his life.

Speaking during Citizen TV´s morning show ´Day Break´ the gospel star recounts:

I was almost killed for not knowing my vernacular language at the time.

During the post-election violence, I was cornered.

They set a radio near me and told me to translate what was being said.

I almost lost my life.

Marriage

Eko Dydda has however been making headlines facing infidelity allegations from his wife of a whooping 9 years.

 

He denied that his marriage was unstable and neither had he chased his family out of their matrimonial home.

And to ensure the winds will forever remain calm, he shared a video hanging out with his wife and children at a city mall.

The ´Psalms 23´ singer additionally made it clear to the media that he does not respond to negative vibes and whatever move he makes in life, can also be viewed from a positive angle.
