41 year old Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe, has caught the bug of the #10yearschallenge, and not only is she in it, she is showing off her old photos with pride.
Though little is known of the origin of the challenge, Nigerians on social media, have gone lengths to dig up their pictures from 10 years ago. For some like the mother of two, they have gone as far as getting pictures from 18 years ago.
The actress, sharing pictures from 16 and 18 years ago, noted that she has always been a babe. Asides the fact that she has always had a thing for fashion, the actress, therefore, also hinted at the fact that she has always loved expensive things.
One would however, have to agree with her when it comes to her taste in fashion.

The year 2018 has been a good one for Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe and like the earlier parts of the year, she s ending it on a good note.
Recall that she had withing the year, got herself a mansion. Also, she successfully saw her daughter, travel out of the country, to study in a Canadian university.

When Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe set out to post a beautiful picture of herself, all she wanted to do was put out the best image of herself possible.
Unfortunately, photoshop doesn’t seem to agree with one’s intentions all the time.
So it happened that when she stood beside a pillar to take a shot, she probably noticed that her hourglass figure wasn’t as pronounced as it was supposed to be. She therefor went to photoshop to seek solace by enhancing the photo.
As she posted the photo, little did she know that the pillar beside her had caught the photoshop bug by curving with her hips. This therefore gave her away about the fact that she enhanced her photo with the app.
Not having any of it, her fans took to the comments section to lash at her over the error.

Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe, has been under fire for the past hours, following reports by blogger, Stella Dimoko Korkus, that her newly acquired mansion was bought by a governor.
The actress has however been dragged by fans since the report surfaced online. Though OAP Toke Makinwa was also among those that Stella claims is living off the ‘ATM’, Mercy, received the biggest hit.
While some people have come out in support of the actress, most have lashed out at her.
The mother of one has however, now taken to her Instagram page to react to the rumour. Noting that she worked hard for all she now has, the actress says the world hasn’t seen anything yet. There is more to come, she added.

There has been an uproar on social media about Toke Makinwa and Mercy Aigbe being successful because they have male supporters, Well, JJ Omojuwa came to their defense.
“A society can never advance beyond the collective mentality of its people. Poor societies are poor because their systems are set up to make people poor but essentially because there is a mentality that drives poverty, cultures it and amplifies it. These days, we have blogs and sites focused on damaging people’s reputation than pushing progress. You create a product and they look away; someone starts a dirty unfounded rumour and they jump on it. They amplify. They drop denigrating comments. Some people subconsciously think that the reason their own lives are failing is because others are progressing. We need to do better.
When a lady succeeds or starts to shine, we ascribe their success to the rich and powerful. Even some women with powerful platforms either push or amplify this madness. We are disempowering young girls. We are telling them being enterprising is a lie. That working smart and hard is useless because to succeed you have to be dating a governor. They believe this because of the lies we form and amplify about the successes of those they look up to.
We go to church on Sundays, to the Mosque on Fridays, to the Shrine and we pray to succeed. To thrive. We work hard too. But when we see others succeed, we insist they had sex with someone, they are gay, they are anything but the culmination of their sweat and intellect. Our leaders are mostly bad. Our collective mentality is actually worse. These are human beings.
Young girls making a living. For each time you push this myth that these folks succeed because of some immoral acts with men, remember your daughter, your sister…let’s do better!”

In an Instagram post by the actress, the 17 year old undergraduate posed in front of the Canadian university. All smiles with the University of Manitoba boldly written on a wall behind, Mercy noted that her daughter is living her dreams. Toyin Abraham and Mercy Aigbe have decided not to carry on their feud asToyin openly apologizes on Instagram. The quarrel started after Mercy congratulated Toyin’s ex on his upcoming marriage with another actress. The former wife who felt offended insulted Mercy and said she played a role in her marriage crash.
Well she has decided to calm the storm by writing an open apology letter on Instagram.

Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe, has got good tidings rolling in for her as she becomes the latest celebrity to acquire a new home. This is coming after the actress bagged an endorsement deal with a Nigerian company.
The actress took to Instagram to share the good news, as she could not restrain herself from thanking God. This, however, is coming shortly after she was gifted a cake that looked exactly like the house she got.

Lanre’s post reads: “My brother, congratulations on your wedding. I pray for your marriage and I know God has made your wife the best not the prostitute that will pretend as one! Once again, congratulations!”
After a while of maybe deep thinking or criticism, he edited his post and wrote: “My brother congratulations on your wedding, I pray to your marriage and I know God have made your wife the best woman for you . @gabbylucciii God we protect your home in Jesus name.”

The lingering crises over the Red Dress Mercy Aigbe wore for her birthday photoshoot has just taken a new turn. Though the actress kept calm over the issue for a while, she finally responded last week, stating that she has never met the designer in person. She added also that the designer didn’t handle the matter professionally.
Unsatisfied by the way she was treated, the bride headed to court to take legal actions against Mercy and the designer (Read here). Mercy Aigbe on the other hand felt offended by the brides actions and has issued a seven day ultimatum to the bride to tender a public apology to her.
She made this known in an IG post where she registered her displeasure over the bride stating that as much as she sympathize with her, she takes exception to her accusing her falsely.
The lingering ‘Red Dress’ issue continued this morning as the bride threatened to sue the designer Rikaotobyme and also falsely accused me of connivance with the said designer …..( without substantial proof or evidence )
Having served Rikaotobyme a letter tru my lawyer on Jan 8 to issue an official statement on the above subject matter with clear indications that I have never met her before or transacted business with her which she failed to do, I have instructed my lawyer to go ahead and seek redress.For the bride, in as much as I sympathize with her, I take exception to her accusing me falsely and trying to cast aspersions on my person.
I have given the bride tru her lawyers 7 days to retract the statement that read thus; ‘the sequence detailed above has evidenced a deliberate and fraudulent conspiracy between the designer and Ms Mercy Aigbe to convert our client’s legal property for selfish gains’. This is a malicious allegation. Whao, where is the legal property I want to convert. What a statement. I hereby demand a retraction and public apology, failure to do so I will have no option than to seek redress in the law court by suing her ( the bride) and the designer for false accusation and trying to defame my person…….???

Glamorous actress and business woman, Mercy Aigbe has made a bold step of re-following her estranged husband on Instagram. Some months back, Lanre Gentry was in prison for a case of domestic violence. This led to their separation and the actress left the house with her Children.
It can also be recalled that Lanre, wished his ex-wife a happy birthday on Instagram on her day. So maybe the actress acknowledges the love and tries to let sleeping dogs lie. Or can it mean they are working something out?
Earlier, words broke out that the dress Mercy Aigbe wore for her birthday photoshoot was meant for someone else. According to the supposed dress owner, the designer disappointed her on her wedding day as she failed to deliver her dress.
The accused designer has however spoken up and claims it was a dispatch error.
“Our attention has been drawn to the ongoing chaos surrounding a dress and one of our esteemed clients on Instagram and possibly on other blogs and social media sites. . . .
We would have preferred if this matter was addressed directly to us for a quick resolution and to avoid the media frenzy, but unfortunately it wasn’t.

We hold our clients dearly and offer our services on first come first served bases with no iota of discrimination or insinuation of such.

We admit that a dispatch error occurred in the delivery of a dress to Miss Lawrentta, who was set to get married on the 30th December, 2017 and the pick up of another dress on behalf of actress, Mercy Aigbe. . . .
Please note that both dresses were of the same style, the same colour (red) and almost the same measurement.

On realising the error on dispatch, we quickly tried to rectify the mix up. But it was too late as the wrong dress was already on its way to Edo state for the bride to be.

We contacted the bride and explained we had an issue and asked if she would be comfortable with another dress, of same kind (which was the one meant for Mercy Aigbe), the bride agreed, so we allowed the dress to be delivered as time to recall dispatch was short in relation to the time of the wedding.

We have already apologised to Miss Lawrentta, but once again use the public fora to tender an unreserved apology to her and by extension to Mercy Aigbe who shouldnt have been dragged into this.

Actress, Mercy Aigbe recently clocked 40 and shared photos of herself in beautiful pieces from Rikaotobyme.
There was however an Instagram user who accused the designer of using her wedding dress for the actress. The Instagram user, @rettypety explained how the designer disappointed her on her wedding day. She shared screenshots of her chat with the said designer and explained how she had provided the material for the dress and the idea of the style.
This was too bad. On the 29th of December 2017 which happens to be a day to my wedding, a greedy designer decided to ruin my big day. I cried all day no stop. I bought this lovely fabric from @bshani_bridalfbrics and asked her to deliver to this designer @rikaotobyme after I had concluded the style and price with @rikaotobyme I made a 50% payment to her as soon the fabric got to her. Told her its my wedding reception dress she assured me it will be ready on 26th. on that 26th i chatted her up to ask for my dress she replied saying it was ready as u can see on the chat above, she also said she will send a pics, eventually now sent a video d next day which was 27th u can also see that on the chat above. I sent the balance 50% to her on 28th when I had seen the dress and was satisfied, she couldn’t send that day cos all flights coming to Benin that day were cancelled. So we were now left with 29th a day to my wedding, I called her by 6am that morning and she told me d delivery Guy has gone to d park to send my dress that she will send the waybill details(sending details ) across shortly. I waited till 9am no words from her. i started calling to ask for the waybill details she wasn’t taking my calls, atimes she even cut the calls. I sent several messages no response at 1pm I started crying cos the situation got beyond my control. My hubby,friends and family requested for the number and also started calling her but she obviously decided not to take any calls again. Until 4pm when I was drained in tears she then called and was apologising that she didn’t know what to say to me that y she refuse taking calls, she continued saying the delivery guy she gave my dress to is no where to be found. when she heard how I was crying she then suggested to give me one of her old dresses for me to use for the day, I had no choice cos I was desperate I then accepted it.i got d dress on my wedding morning. I went on IG yesterdy only to see @realmercyaigbe wearing my dress with the same fabric I bought and she tagged same designer @rikaotobyme. how much did she pay u to disappoint a bride on her wedding day? U are heartlessly wicked and u will sure not get away with this @rikaotobyme
