Reports reaching Ghaflagh.com suggests that Dancehall/Reggae artiste, Stonebowy is now a father of two.
According to reports, Stonebowy and his wife, Dr Louisa have welcomed a bouncy baby boy.
In a post shared on social media by a user and a close family pal, the dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy and wife, Dr. Louisa have given birth to their second child.
The interesting news was made public by the Social media manager of Rainbow Radio 87.5, Stash Grey.
Stash Grey in a Facebook post wrote: “Stonebwoy’s wife Louisa has put to birth a bouncing baby boy…. I told you my dreams don’t fail. Remember where u read it first!.”
Stonebowy and his wife, however welcomed their first child, a girl barely five months after their wedding in June last year.
Catherine Jidula Satekla, their daughter turned a year old two months ago.
Dancehall artiste, Livinstone Etse Satekla, best known as Stonebwoy has reiterated his reasons
for not attending the funeral of the late Willi Roi, who was the Head of the Zylofon Arts Club.
According to him, he was being honest in a video which went viral where he said he did not have
a good relationship with Willi Roi.
“I answered some delicate questions and I was honest about what I said and I don’t stand to pull back anything and I’m not saying it with a wicked heart, the truth they say hurts but it sets people free,” he said in an interview on Accra-based Hitz FM.
Stonebwoy alleged that Willi Roi’s death was not natural, so it is normal that people he was
not in the best of terms with would be linked to his demise.
“The manner in which he passed, as Ghanaians, as superstitious people, you might
even feel that it not over a natural dead therefore or probably people have hands in
it…my father will tell me that in a situation like this, whoever he wasn’t free with will to a large extent come to mind,” he said.
“I feel it, he’s human, I look at him from an artiste point of view, I have seen his videos I only got to hear his name and know him last two years ago only when Menzgold and Zylofon came to play, I have never heard anybody called Willi Roi before,” he added.
Stonebwoy, however, added that there was nothing like a good relationship between them when
they worked together at Zylofon.
“I don’t have any relationship with him, we have met only once in the office to record a jingle together for a project …and aside that I haven’t had any good relationship with him till today, so in a situation like this do I have to pretend?” he queried.
Background
Willi Roi died on Sunday, February 10, in his apartment at the Royal Richester Hotel at East Legon in Accra.
His body was found by security personnel who were on a routine check.
Bhim nation boss, Livingstone Etse Satekla, popularly known as Stonebwoy, has stated that he has no regrets and would never regret joining Zylofon Media.
According to the ‘Kpoo K3k3’ hit maker, he joined Zylofon Media because of progress in the music industry and being part of the organisation gave him the opportunity to also learn a lot.
Awards-winning dancehall/Reggae act, Stonebowy has said that unlike most of his colleague artistes, he doesn’t build his reputation with controversies.
The Bhim Nation boss was speaking in an interview with DJ Advicer on Happy FM’s ‘Ayekoo After Drive’ show.
“I have never staged a beef with any artist in the industry, be it Shatta or any other person in the industry. All the beefs between I and Shatta Wale were real. I don’t fake beef to create attention for myself,” he stated.
The ‘My Name’ hitmaker also asserted that being on the same record label – Zylofon
Music- with Shatta Wale does not mean they can’t disagree.
According to him, even siblings of the same blood fight among themselves sometimes.
There are series of ‘beefs’ recorded between Stonebowy and his long time arch-rival, Shatta Wale.
The beef even peaked worse after the two artistes were signed onto the now struggling Zylofon Music label.
Burinton Music frontliner, Stonebwoy, has played down criticisms that the Ghanaian music industry is currently being run by three artistes.
According to him, every season in the music industry has its own celebrated artistes.
Speaking to KMJ on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Tuesday, Stonebwoy said listeners get attached
to the music of up-and-coming artistes who turn to rule the music scene till the songs of others take over.
“Once upon a time Tic Tac [now called Tic], Tinny and some other artiste were ruling the music scene. They were hotter when some of us were not,” he added.
Stonebwoy’s comments however follows Tic’s comments that only three artistes are currently
ruling the Ghana music industry.
The hiplife artiste accused industry players and show organizers of booking three artistes for
almost every show during the 2018 Christmas season.
According to Tic, the monopoly some of these artistes are enjoying have caused other singers to be sidelined. This, he says, does not help other artistes grow.
The Bhim Nation boss made this revelation on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz.
“…if I’m going to put out an album it should be in 2020. I don’t know what 2019 has…because we do make plans but with time and things you would have to change to suit them,” he said.
“So, I’m keeping it open but I think to release an album, then it should be in 2020 for me,” he added.
Nonetheless, Stonebwoy has been billed to headline the maiden edition of Independence Concert organised and hosted by Labadi Beach Hotel and Burniton Music Group on his birthday March 5, 2019.
Dancehall/Reggae artiste, Stonebowy has revealed that the only celebrity that was present at his first album launch was multiple awards-winning outspoken actress, Lydia Forson.
Rated on the global music scene as one of the best reggae dancehall exports from Africa, the
multiple award winner expressed his happiness in seeing the actress by saying “Seeing her got
me inspired and seeing her alone made him feel his works and brand actually got people’s attention.
Dancehall/Reggae act, Stonebwoy has finally revealed the deadline for his contract with Zylofon Music.
There have been several speculations on the lifespan of the AFRIMMA best Africa ragga, reggae and dancehall artist of the Year 2018 winner since he joined the label in 2017.
The Bhim Nation Emperor has in a recent interview revealed that he has just about one to two months left on the label.
Even though he admits he has this very short time to leave the once very flourishing label,
Stonebwoy was quick to add that the people at the helm of affairs at the organization, including
its owner, Nana Appiah Mensah will always remain very close to his heart.
Stonebwoy also added in the quick chat with Zionfelix on the ‘Uncut’ show that all his fans and
music lovers should bear in mind that it was a mutual break up and nothing personal.
He stressed that everyone out there is totally aware that before Zylofon Music came onto the
scenes, he was already doing some good work as Stonebwoy, which will continue now that he
He is however set to host an ‘Independence Day Concert’ on his Birthday, March 5.

“My brand is clean, it has not been affected in any way. Yes I was once an ambassador and endorsed Menzgold dealings so it is fine if people are worried but my brand is ok,” he said during the press launch of his Independence Concert which will come off on March 5.
When asked how he feels about Menzgold suspending operations because of its inability to sort issues out he said,
“it’s unfortunate but the laws also have to work. Let us not forget that before all this, they were in business for long and were paying people.
“Again some of these people complaining may have been paid their dividends and may have even recouped their initial deposit but it is unfortunate.”
Stonebwoy’s also indicated that his respect for Menzgold and Zylofon Media CEO, Nana Appiah
Mensah (NAM1) has not dwindled.
“I will always respect him for the kind of person he is and what his plans were for the industry. My contract with them elapses in two months time and we go our separate ways, I move on and do my business and that’s it.”
Multiple award-winning reggae/dancehall artiste, Livingstone Etse Satekla best known as Stonebwoy has been announced as headline artiste for the maiden edition of Independence Concert.

Dancehall act, Stonebwoy, after more than a year of signing to Zylofon Music, says he has no plans of renewing the contract.
Born Livingstone Etse Satekla, the dancehall artiste said the contract that was signed in June 2015 will not be extended because he is not happy at the label.
The Ashaiman-based artiste joined highlife musician Kumi Guitar and singer Becca, who were
earlier signed by the media and entertainment outfit.
Gospel musician Joyce Blessing, rapper Obibini and dancehall act Shatta Wale joined the label after that.
However, his time at Zylofon Music has not been without drama.
There was a nasty incident at the Champs Bar at Paloma in March last year which led to
Stonebwoy firing a warning shot and Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson (Bulldog) for allegedly
trying to seize the Dancehall act’s car keys.
Asked by Lexis Bill, in an interview on Behind the Fame on Drive Time on Joy FM, if he is happy
at Zylofon Music, Stonebwoy swiftly responded “no”.
He noted that Zylofon Music has good intentions but all is not well at the label.
The ‘Baafira’ hitmaker revealed that he had wanted to opt out of the contract but some of the
Ghana’s top two dancehall artistes, Shatta Wale and Stonebowy has for sometime now been fighting for supremacy in the dancehall genre in Ghana and Africa as a whole.
Each of these factions believes he is the superior than the other, and this has led to the exchange of several blows on social media.
The beef is so grave that it has further extended to their followers who also believe their icon is more superior.
According to the fans of Shatta Wale, he’s African dancehall king based on his mass following
whiles fans of Stonebwoy has the bragging rights based on the numerous dancehall artiste of
the year awards he’s bagged at the VGMA’s and the AFRIMA’s.
Reggae and Dancehall artiste, Livingstone Etse Satekla known in showbiz circle as Stonebwoy has described arch rival, Shatta Wale’s show off on social media as fake.
According to the ‘Original’ hitmaker, Shatta Wale only shows off his wealth on social media but it is just for hype.
“Perceptions circulating makes it seem that Shatta Wale is generous but it is all ‘wayo’ (fake). This is not a fight because it is the truth. If you say Stonebwoy’s right leg has a problem, you haven’t insulted me. It is the truth”, he stated.
Stonebowy and Shatta’s enmity is nothing new to their fans. However, Stonebowy recently revealed that he wasn’t going to allow Shatta’s rants get to him, hence his latest outburst comes as surprise to many.
It therefore seems the ‘beef’ between these two giants in the music industry is not coming to an end anytime soon.
A 55-year-old jeweller, Martin Ocran, who is a big fan of Dancehall artiste Livingstone Etse Satekla, popularly known as Stonebwoy says his 2019 wish is to meet this ‘Hero’ with a gold masterpiece.
Martin who hails from Aburi in the Eastern Region, traveled to Accra to deliver his masterpiece and to also let the world know Stonebwoy’s impact in the music industry.
In an interview with Adom TV, expressed his love for the dancehall artiste as he showcased the masterpiece of the artiste and his wife.
“Stonebwoy is my mentor and someone I love so much. I always see him on TV and that is why I took time to make this beautiful masterpiece for him. Even though it is expensive, I did it willingly for him and although I wanted to hand over to him personally, I didn’t know where to find him on second thought and that is why I came to the media”, he said.
Going further, Mr Ocran read the words in the masterpiece out loud for Ghanaians to know
how much he cherishes the musician.
Check the full words in the masterpiece below:
“His majesty Stonebwoy, you are a maestro, one of the great and young talented, respected AfroPop, Reggae dancehall artiste.”
“This masterpiece is a treasure he can keep forever for his children to come and see,” he added.
The nemesis between dancehall acts, Stonebowy and Shatta Wale has been on-going for a while now.
However, its almost a new year and everyone is making new year’s resolution.
Stonebowy has also disclosed that he will no longer let his arch rival, Shatta Wale’s barbs affect him.
According to him, he used to get agitated by some of Shatta Wale’s utterances but he is longer going to do so.
“I must confess that some of the things he’s said about me really got to me. He said things to me that really hurt by heart and got me worried but I am over it all,” he said on Peace FM’s Entertainment Review on Saturday, December 22.
Stonebwoy added he’s realized that was Shatta Wale’s way of staying relevant and he has
decided not to pay attention to him anymore.
“There is nothing I can do about him to change who he is or his utterances but that is just him. But from today I won’t bother myself again about issues with Shatta Wale.
“In as much as I get hurt and I feel like saying certain things I will keep my calm
and try as much as possible not to answer or reply Shatta Wale anymore,” he said.
Away from issues with Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy said things are uncertain about his future with Zylofon.
“For now I can’t tell whether I would want to sign with Zylofon or not. I have some few months to end my contract with Zylofon and after we will see the way forward,” he said.
Talking about his Bhim Concert, Stonebwoy urged his fans to come in their numbers
and witness a mind blowing event that will stay in their memories forever.
“I have A-list artistes and more surprises come December 28 and I will be on stage for more than two hours thrilling my fans with the best of music,” he said.
Meanwhile, the two acts are set to bring forth their major concerts, Bhim Concert and
Not withstanding, his arch rival, Stonebowy has said that he loves the video.
According to Stonebowy, he loves the concept contrary to criticisms by others especially the part the SM boss was flying with the balloons.
Meanwhwile, Stonebwoy had earlier admitted on Joy FM that he loves Shatta Wale’s ‘My Level’ song because of the inspiration it carries.
“I think the video came out yesterday…I love the idea…one of my good good friends, Sesan directed it… I love the flight on the balloons”, Stonebwoy told Nana Aba Anamoah.
Stonebwoy was responding to a question about how it feels to win so many accolades respecting him as the top reggae dancehall artiste in Africa.
“If Otumfuo is King, he doesn’t have to remind his people that he is king,” he said.
This year, Stonebwoy has faced off with the top dancehall artistes in Africa to emerge the winner as ‘Dancehall Artiste of the Year’ in Ghana and Africa at both the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) and the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards all hosted here in Ghana.
When asked about his collaborations with the AFRIMA brand, he suggested to Ghanaians to think globally and that AFRIMA has been doing big things with him internationally for five years now since his first performance at that awards.
“The world is bigger than Ghana, so let’s open our minds,” the dancehall artiste remarked.
Dancehall artiste, Stonebowy has confirmed that celebrated Jamaican reggae band, Morgan
Heritage, will be part of the tall list of musicians who will be performing at his BHIM
He however made the revelation on Joy Prime’s Showbiz Now with host KMJ on Tuesday.
“Morgan heritage is performing on the BHIM concert and it’s a done deal,” he said after he was asked about the top artistes billed to perform on the night.
Meanwhile, Morgan Heritage, 2016 Grammy Winners for “Best Reggae Album”, safely
touched down in Ghana on the night of Tuesday, September 18, 2018.
Some group of angry clients of gold dealership firm, Menzgold, have embarked on a
demonstration against the company on Tuesday, 27 November 2018.
According to these angry clients, they can no longer watch their investments to be locked up
at the firm whiles they struggle to feed themselves.
They revealed that they are fed up of their daily excuses given them by management of the firm.
Some of the also revealed that they were convinced their investments were safe due to
assurances by Ghanaian dancehall artiste and Zylofon Media signee Stonebwoy.
An aggrieved customer, who participated in a demonstration against the company said
the words of the Stonebowy convinced him that all was okay.
However, after several months of promises to pay them 15 per cent of their locked-up
investment principals, the company has failed to live up to expectation.
“I remember Stonebwoy promised us that our money was safe,” the angry customer said
during the demonstration.
He also criticized musician Becca and other ambassadors of Menzgold for keeping quiet
about the plight of the customers whose investments have been locked up.
A few months ago, Stonebwoy, who is one of the top artistes signed by Zylofon Media, also
owned by the CEO of Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah, urged the customers to stay calm
since the operations of the company will soon return to normal.
“I urge all members of Menzgold to keep calm and take it easy because the situation is under control and your gold deposits are safe and secure,” he said.
Scores of the angry customers marched through the principal street of Accra starting from the
Obra Spot and ending at the Accra Hearts of Oak Park.
The customers have therefore pleaded with the government to intervene to get Menzgold
to refund their investment.
Another aggrieved customer, Obeng-Mensah told Class News’ in an interview during the demo that;
“We are demonstrating against Menzgold in particular and pleading with the government to intervene. We’ve had a contractual agreement with Menzgold and there is this issue of the Bank of Ghana and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that came to shut down the company.
“We became loyal to Menzgold and expected them to pay us our money. Initially we agreed they cancel the interest and pay us our principal investment within 90 days but for three months now, there has not been any payment. None of the customers of Menzgold has received their money but Menzgold is going about deceiving that they are making payment.”
Another demonstrator pleaded with the Akufo-Addo government to intervene to ensure
CEO of Burniton(BHIM) Nation, Stonebwoy has revealed he would be having a collaboration
with Leader of the Weezy Empire, Kwadwo Nkansah (Lilwin).
Stonebowy made this revelation on Bryt FM when the ‘acting’ host Lilwin asked him when
he would be having a collaboration with him and Shatta Wale prior to the just ended Odwira festival.
Lilwin asked, “when are you collaborating with me and Shatta Wale?”
The ‘Most Original’ hitmaker in-turn answered after the show, “I will collaborate with you first before anybody because you are my brother, so, collaboration is going to come on and this should happen because we are all musicians.”
According to him, not everybody can listen to Stonebwoy neither Lilwin, however, there are
people who want to listen to both parties and now want to hear the two on a song and that,
“we will surely give them a song”.
The Bhim Nation frontliner and Shatta Movement boss, Shatta Wale have not been in
good terms for some time now as they ‘fight’ for supremacy in the world of dancehall music.
However, when Stonebwoy was asked when he will be collaborating with his rival Shatta Wale by the ‘host’ Lilwin, he expressed readiness to feature Lilwin over the SM boss.
“It’s not easy coming from artiste point of view; the works, demands, expectation… we don’t realise when we are depressed, we only go through a phase. It’s not healthy at all.” He said during an interview on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM.
On how he gets over depression, he said;
“I try to calm down and rest. The over-expectation is more and I think we go through that a lot unknowingly. I love to be by myself and alone and most often doing nothing literally. My circle is close so I am very private person. I find entertainment in entertaining the people.”
So he doesn’t see why they should say it was a sold-out show.
He disclosed this to Citi TV’s Nana Adwoa Sarkodie in an exclusive interview after his
recently held Ashiaman to the World concert at Ashaiman.
According to him, even though tickets were sold, he considers the show as a ‘free’ event
because most people did not pay to enter.
“I am not in competition with anybody but even if I was, you can see the difference. Because that [Shatta’s] show at the Fantasy Dome was free. People came from buses and got it for free. To me that was not a sold out event. This is also a free event but you see the numbers that we commanded. This is my hood; almost 50, 000 people,” he said.
Stonebwoy however quickly added that he isn’t in competition with any one. If not so, he wouldn’t have reached higher heights as he has attained presently. It’s rather unfortunate Stonebwoy has forgotten that even if Shatta Wale’s show was free, it was organized by one man.
Where as his Ashiaman concert had a whole lot of artistes present, so their fans were present to witness the event not necessarily because of him, Stonebwoy.
Stonebowy was speaking in an interview on ‘You sey Weytin’ show on Hitz 103.9 FM with Prince Tsegah aka De Don.
He also mentioned that he doesn’t see Shatta’s statement that nobody can fill the Fantasy Dome like he did recently with his album launch as a jab at him.
To Stonebowy, anybody at all can fill up the Dome so long as the person gets his/her promotions right.
Bhim Nation Boss, Stonebowy has angrily replied to reports that he has removed
Sean Paul from his Epistles of Mama album.
It was highly reported a few days ago that Stonebowy had taken Sean Paul’s name
from his EOM album and also changed the day of its release.
Meanwhile, the original release date of the album was December last year. Featured on the album however are some of the world’s biggest artistes.
They includes; Sean Paul, Burna Boy, Sarkodie, Efya, King Promise, Edem and Joey B were
The double disk project was consists of 24 songs – 12 Dancehall/Reggae songs and 12 Afrobeat
songs but the removal of “Most Original” which featured Sean Paul in the latest
update on the popular music store leaves 23 tracks on the album.
Reacting to the news however, Stonebwoy in an angry tweet queried why he would do such thing and tagged the news as “SENSELESS” and “EMPTY”
“Someone just sent me this from abroad. U can Imagine How We Are Perceived Out deh Globally. Everyday “SENSELESS” Headlines.Empty Content. WHY? We Won’t Get anywhere with this. Bloggers/Writers aren’t We Too Blessed And Smart To Be Acting Dumb. WhenTheWiseKeepMuteFoolsMultiply“, reads his tweet.
Stonebwoy’s ‘Epistles of Mama‘ after its release was rated the second best album in the world.
His spot gunned down many heavyweight albums, which saw Chronixx’s ‘Chronology‘
topping the list.
The ranking was however done by readers of Reggaeville, the world’s biggest gathering of reggae lovers and fans on the internet.
“Glo said I wasn’t worth the money; I asked them to pay me $120,00 but I hope they get a change of mind to sign me otherwise nothing like Glo SIM card in any Shatta Movement phones.” Shatta Tweeted yesterday.
An Instagram page with the user name ‘Stonebowynews’ counter attacked this message
in a post which reads;
“After winning the 2015 Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards’ Best International Act: Africa award, Stonebwoy was approached by GLO but he rejected the $80,000 offer.
“If you add value to your life, great deals will chase you. You won’t use Twitter to beg Glo for offers like ‘Alumi’ did yesterday,
A Big artiste like ‘Alumi’ shouldn’t be begging for endorsement deals on social media. Stop comparing a ‘jama’ singer to a musician.
#Facts 27th October is coming. Ashaiman to the world concert.”
Bhim Nation Boss, Stonebowy says it was not a deliberate thing on his part to snub some
fans who met him in traffic on his way to Hitz FM for an interview yesterday.
According to the “Top Skanka” artiste, he was unaware of the fans’ presence because he
was not himself at that moment.
Stonebowy was addressing this issue in an interview with Ohemaa Woyeje on Adom
FM’s “Work and Happiness” show on Thursday.
“We are all humans and we have good and bad days. I was not myself and anyone who will look at the video critically can determine that. Its not right to put a false perception into the minds of Ghanaians. I love my fans and they don’t know me as such,” he said.
He is certain that when structured policies are made to function and very detailed
accountability is demanded by people at the helm of such institutions, then
the music industry will experience an unprecedented turnover.
“There could be enough laws but if they’re not working or the people in charge aren’t making it work for us then I think we should re-visit and make it work.” He noted in an interview on Hitz FM with Andy Dosty.
When asked by one of the pundits if he has received any royalties from GHAMRO,
Stonebwoy replied no, adding that he had no idea how GHAMRO works.
“Let that not be the new issue, I don’t know nothing over there. I’m not trying to bash or insult but a drive on the interest isn’t really there so I said a big artiste like myself don’t know anything.
But He [My Manager] has actually spoken to me about this whole GHAMRO issue once or twice, but sincerely speaking I do not see any interest.
“This could be my fault because, at the end of the day, I’m supposed to get to know but is there really anything interesting about them.
Nothing interests me to know to say Yes this is what I have to do. Originally there should be steps like you buy a car and you know that DVLA doesn’t have to approach you but you have to.
DVLA does advert to create awareness but in this case [GHAMRO], it has to be attracted and the laws should work.” Stonebwoy said.
Meanwhile, most registered members of GHAMRO have complained bitterly about the
meagre royalties they receive. Other artistes have vented their spleen on GHAMRO
over their unpaid royalties since they became members of the institution.
Dancehall act, Shatta Wale on Saturday launched his much anticipated studio album.
The album, dubbed ‘Reign’ has since been making headlines.
Many have however criticized the album, describing the songs on it a ‘garbage.’
An Instagram page with name ‘STONEBOWY NEWS’, which happens to be the official news update platform for Stonebowy has described the album as a’ not not not’.
According to the Page, “Stonebwoy’s EOM album is still on iTunes chart but in less than 72 hours Reign album has vanished from the chart.”
It further stated that “We didn’t chastise Shatta Wale because we hate him. We criticise him to make him better. “
Describing the songs on the album, it mentioned that; “Songs on the reign album is more of a demo than a well planned, structure and executed content to make an album. Shatta just filled the album for releasing album sake.”
It therefore advised Shatta Movement(SM) fans to accept reality that their icon is no where near Stonebowy when it comes to music.
“No matter which angle your look at it, Shatta’s Reign album is Not Not Not. It’s the truth. The bitter truth SM fans must appreciate and accept,” it added.
Asked if he was paid for producing the beat of the song, Vacs told Andy Dosty in an interview on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM that, “I wasn’t paid for it.”
He however stated that the only recognition he got for the song is an acknowledgment on the cover of the album.
“For instance, for ‘Mane Me’ I got credit from the album cover art but not on social media.” He noted.
Vacs also revealed that, the beat “was supposed to be a feature between DJ Mingle and Stonebwoy.
Stonebwoy heard it and he liked it. So there was an agreement between them and Stonebwoy used it.”
After releasing the song, the producer said, Stonebwoy hasn’t reached out to him.
He lamented that he doesn’t “have any percentage in the song. That is how bad the industry is.”
Vacs said he tried reaching out to Stonebwoy’s management “and it is being dicey. I am not getting the feedback I wanted. I spoke to Blakk Cedi, Stonebwoy’s manager. He’s like he will get back to me.”
“At least show appreciation. You are making money so at least you can give me something,” the producer lamented, adding some form of acknowledgment from Stonebwoy and his team will really be appreciated.
Burniton(BHIM) Nation boss, Stonebwoy has lamented over the current saga of the investing company Menzgold.
According to the Zylofon Music signee, the current controversies surrounding the company is not good for Ghanaians.
He further added that the development worries him because he is not happy about
the effect it is having on Ghanaians.
He told KOD on the ‘Zone’ on Starr FM Tuesday that;
“from a Ghanaian point of view, a layman point of view, who just has seen an opportunity by a Ghanaian for a Ghanaian from a Ghanaian, and being affected, we are affected, and it is not good for us“.
Stonebwoy however praised the Menzgold CEO, Nana Appiah Mensah for the Zylofon dream.
Meanwhile, the gold Firm has said it has commenced efforts to pay premiums of all
customers in the next three months.
The firm has however scrapped the payment of dividends as was the situation until its
impasse with regulator the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Menzgold in a statement Monday said it will begin the payment of the staggered premiums
today Tuesday October 9, following an agreement with customers and other stakeholders.
“Menzgold Ghana limited noting that the principal concerns of its customers is for the return of their primary value of gold traded with company, has agreed and proposes to pay and return to every customer the full value of gold traded, in 90 days commencing Tuesday October 9,” the company said in a statement.
Things keep getting more ugly and complicated between Stonebowy and his arch-rival Shatta Wale almost with each passing day.
Both artistes don’t seize to ‘bark’ at each other whenever they’re giving the least opportunity.
Many fans of both artistes have on several occasions called on their icons to bury the hatchet and even collaborate on a song.
Though there are hints of them fulfilling this wish by their fans, their feud still lingers on.
This is because Stonebwoy has disclosed to Showbiz that he cannot just shut up when Shatta
Wale keeps attacking him and makes false statements against him.
“A lot of people have personally told me not to descend into the gutters with Shatta Wale but the issue is I can’t allow him to go ahead to do that to my brand.
“There is a saying that ‘when a mad man comes for your clothes in your bathroom you don’t run after him naked’ but if the mad man continually keeps coming for your clothes anytime you are in the bathroom, you need to find a solution and that is what I am doing” he said.
According to the ‘Dirty Enemies’ hitmaker, he will not allow anyone to take advantage of his
calmness and tarnish his brand he has built over the years.
“I have been through a lot to get the brand to where it is now and I will not just sit and allow anyone to put it into disrepute,” he revealed.
He explained that although people see him as a calm person, he can really go crazy.
“I am the coolest person but you don’t want to see my other side. I can be rough but I normally hide that aspect of me,” he said.
Asked whether the dispute between him and Shatta Wale isn’t just a hype, Stonebwoy said he
doesn’t need hype because he never built his music on that.
According to him, hard work and perseverance is what has brought him to where he is now and not hype.
“Stonebwoy’s brand is too huge to be built on hype. I have been accepted by almost every Ghanaian and God is blessing me for my hard work and determination,” he said.
Stonebwoy further said he is glad Ghanaians enjoyed his Epistles Of Mama (EOM) album.
“Almost all the songs on the album became a hit and I am glad Ghanaians liked it. I will be dropping the video of Most Original featuring Sean Paul and it is massive,” he said.
Most Original”, of the major cuts on the album which features Jamaican platinum selling and
Grammy winning-artiste, Sean Paul, had its official video premiered on TIDAL, Jay-Z’s music store few days ago.
Stonebowy has over the years released hit songs such as; People Dey, Mightylele, Say It, Come From Far, Run Go, Pull Up, among others.
