Zodwa Wabantu refutes breakup claims

A fake Twitter account started a social media search for a man for Zodwa Wabantu.

She has however refuted any speculation that she was on a hunt to replace her man.

Zodwa said she was initially unaware of the parody account that asked men to send pictures for a new man for her.

Many young men accepted the offer, hoping to be chosen.

Relationship

She confirmed that she is perfectly happy with her man.

“Sometimes, people that create profiles and pretend to be me do such. It wasn’t me, we haven’t broken up. I am happy with my man, he makes me happy.”

Zodwa also added, that she was at her happiest, and wouldn’t trade it for anything.

She described her boyfriend as more than “just a Ben10.”

“Look, that man respects me and loves me. I know people think he’s with me for the money but no, that man makes me happy. I’m in that space where all I care about is being happy, and he does it. I actually don’t want the Ben 10 tag for him because people associate it with bad things. My man is not with me for that kind of thing, we are just being happy together.”

Zodwa feels lucky to have found a man that loves her for who she is.

Zodwa WaBantu ready to go back to Zimbabwe

FOLLOWING THE RESIGNATION OF FORMER ZIMBABWEAN PRESIDENT ROBERT MUGABE, ZODWA WABANTU IS READY TO HEAD TO ZIMBABWE TO BRING HER RAUNCHY DANCE MOVES TO HER ZIMBABWEAN FANS.

Speaking to Tshisa Live Zodwa expressed her joy on Mugabe resgination.

“I am happy about the announcement and we are already planning to go to Zimbabwe. We are talking with our promoter to find dates and are in the process of coming up with something ,” she said.

Zodwa announced last month that she had cancelled her recent Zimbabwe tour because she wanted a letter from Mugabe assuring her safety while in the country. Mugabe had earlier criticised Zodwa for not wearing panties while performing.

Zodwa is already booked for gigs during the festive season but said she was working to clear her schedule for an entire weekend to perform in Zimbabwe.

She hailed Mugabe’s resignation as the start of “a new independence day” for the country and congratulated its citizens.

“I will be coming soon. I love all my fans there and they must celebrate as much as they want and uplift the country,” she added.

Skolopad untouched by Zodwa Wabantu’s win

Skolopad said she wasn’t “touched” by virtue of losing to Zodwa Wabantu. The two were both nominees for Drama Queen of the Year at the Feather Awards.

“No, no, no being nominated was enough for me. It was a big deal and achievement for me. Her (Zodwa) winning the award didn’t really bother me, I know she has a big support base,” she said.

Controversial outfit

Skolopad showed up in a Lady Gaga inspired see-through dress where her private parts were covered by boerewors.

The dress, she said, was inspired by her concept to show people that she doesn’t endorse beef.

The full time nurse said it had nothing to do with “trying to take the spotlight from Zodwa” and in fact she was showing support.

“I love DJ Tira’s songs so when I saw him on stage I just went crazy and started dancing in the crowd. But I started even before he called Zodwa on stage, you know I don’t have beef, I was just having fun.”

Though Zodwa addressed her, Skolopad said she understood it was just a reaction.

“No, the thing is I was taught to always think about people’s situations before I let what they do affect me. So when I heard her “address” me, I thought ‘oh well it’s just a reaction and she’s entitled to it’. So I choose not to react, I wasn’t really offended,” she said.

Zodwa Wabantu is not going to hell

Zodwa Wabantu has blasted her haters, telling them that she will not be judged and will go to heaven despite what people may think or say about her.

The dancer once again came under fire this week after pictures from her birthday party were shared online showing the star flashing her behind.

Reacting to the hate she got from people on social media, she said that people may think she was going to hell because of her behaviour, but she believed she was going to heaven.

“People say a lot of things (about me). They say I will go to hell but I tell them if there is a pitchfork waiting for me, I am ready. They think I am going to hell but I am an angel and I am going to heaven.”

Zodwa said she has faced criticism from the moment she started dancing, but consoled herself with the thought that she was being paid to dance, while her haters were wasting money on data to write things about her on social media.

“Life is harsh but beautiful at the same time. People will always talk. You wake up, (they are saying) Zodwa is ugly. You wake up, (they are saying) Zodwa is pregnant. They will always say things about me but I don’t care,” she added.

Zodwa Wabantu clears the air on relationship with Skolopad

Zodwa Wabantu has shut down claims tgat there is a brewing feud between her and Skolopad. In her words, she just does not want to be painted with the same brush as her and that they are vying for different things.

Zodwa’s action in the recent Feather Award nominations raised eyebrows, when she refuses to take a picture with Skolopad. This led to social media users speculatibg that she has something against Skolopad.

Zodwa however set the record straight. “Skolopad says she sings. I don’t sing. Even on her Instagram, I don’t see exactly what she is about. Is she after money or what? She’s just there… Saying things like Euphonik I want to help you get over Bonang and stuff.’ She goes to every award ceremony for the sake of it‚ nominated or not. There’s nothing wrong with that‚ it’s her thing. She’s here for the fame‚ I am here for the money. That is why we don’t mix.”

Zodwa said she wants to “hang out” with people who contribute to her and that share the same passion of “making money” and Skolopad wasn’t one of them.

She explained that her interaction with Skolopad began back at the 2017 Durban July when Skolopad called and wanted to “hang out”. Zodwa claims Skolopad wanted them to be “buddies” and although she initially didn’t object‚ the meeting never happened.

Zodwa insisted that she isn’t “beefing” with Skolopad. Adding that she’s all about women empowerment and understood that women needed to support each other instead of fighting amongst themselves.

“I don’t like fighting women. I feel for them because we have so many battles we fight every day. We have cheating boyfriends and insecurities‚ we need one another‚” she said.
