Charlie Jones Fires Back at Critics, Claims Negative Comments Reflect Secret Attraction

Betty Kyallo’s boyfriend, Charlie Jones, has responded to ongoing criticism with a bold claim—that men who speak negatively about him may actually be romantically attracted to him.

In a series of posts shared on his Instagram over the weekend, Charlie addressed the wave of online backlash he’s received, especially over his relationship with Kyallo, who is older than him. He suggested that those who constantly criticize him may be disguising desire as hate.

“When you’re trying to impress a woman by badmouthing me, you’re not a hater—you’re just a fan, and honestly, probably sexually attracted to me,” he wrote. “You’re gay, and my life is so lit you’ve got to bring me up just to entertain women.”

He labeled his critics as “secret admirers” and dismissed their negativity as misplaced envy. Despite the noise, Charlie remained defiant, expressing unwavering confidence in his relationship with Kyallo.

“I can’t have a bad day when this is my wife. Every day is a good day,” he captioned another post, emphasizing that nothing said online could shake their bond.

Charlie further warned detractors not to underestimate their connection, adding that no amount of public disapproval would come between them.

Meanwhile, Betty Kyallo has publicly defended their relationship on multiple occasions, especially regarding the age difference. In a past interview, she clarified that Charlie is not a minor and is capable of making his own decisions.

“A lot of what you see online is false—21 is a total lie,” Kyallo said. “Even if he were 21, he’d still be an adult. But let’s not focus on that.”

She also addressed public pressure regarding marriage, saying they’re not in a rush.
“We’ve decided to let older people handle their own issues. As for us, wedding pressure is not a concern. Right now, I just want to focus on my man,” she said with a laugh.
