Andrew Kibe Sets New Conditions for Future Podcast Appearances After Stevo Simple Boy Controversy
Andrew Kibe has announced new conditions for anyone seeking to host him on a podcast, days after facing backlash over remarks he made about rapper Stevo Simple Boy during an interview with comedian and media personality Sande Bush, popularly known as Dr Ofweneke.
Taking to social media on Monday, June 29, 2026, Kibe said he would only accept future podcast invitations under two conditions: payment for his appearance and freedom to speak without censorship.
“From now on, if you invite me to your podcast, pay; don’t bleep [censor] my sh*t. Anything else is of the evil one,” Kibe wrote.

Reaction to Stevo Simple Boy Comments
Kibe’s statement comes after intense criticism following his appearance on Dr Ofweneke’s Lessons at 30 podcast.
During the interview, Kibe made remarks about Stevo Simple Boy’s appearance and went on to suggest that the rapper should not have children, comments that triggered widespread condemnation online.
Many social media users accused the discussion of crossing the line, with some arguing that the comments amounted to personal attacks rather than criticism.
Stevo Responds
Stevo Simple Boy later addressed the remarks, defending himself and his family.
The rapper said disagreements between adults should not involve children and criticised bringing his child into discussions about personal differences or appearance.
He maintained that children should not be judged based on their parents’ circumstances or physical attributes.
Ofweneke’s Apology
The controversy also prompted Dr Ofweneke to apologise to Stevo Simple Boy.
The comedian visited the musician in person and explained that his reaction during the interview was not intended to mock him. He described his laughter as a reflex and admitted that it was not the right response.
As conversations around online content, humour and accountability continue, Kibe’s latest comments have added another layer to the debate over the limits of free expression in digital media.
