Kenya Power Announces Planned Electricity Interruptions on Tuesday, June 30, 2026

Kenya Power has announced scheduled electricity interruptions in several parts of the country on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, as part of planned maintenance works.

The outages will affect customers in selected areas across the Mt. Kenya, Western, North Rift, Coast and Central Rift regions.

Mt. Kenya Region

Parts of Nyeri County

Residents in areas around Gikondi and Kibutio will experience a power interruption from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Affected areas include:

• Mukurweini Technical

Another interruption in Nyeri County will affect Keriako and Rattan View from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Customers in Munyaka, part of Sinai and Chebarus Centre will experience an outage from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Areas around Mavueni, Chonyi and Jaribuni will experience a power interruption from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Residents in parts of Kaitui will experience an interruption from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
