‘Have Multiple Boyfriends And Let Your Career Be Your Soulmate’- Elsa Majimbo

In a viral post on her X (formerly Twitter) account, the Los Angeles-based star suggested that young people should maintain high levels of personal freedom while focusing on their craft.
“Have multiple boyfriends and let your career be your soulmate,” Majimbo stated, a remark that quickly ignited debate across social media.
This “career-first” philosophy marks a slight shift from her previous commentary on relationships. In late 2025, she had warned her fans that the stakes of choosing a life partner were incredibly high.
“The person you marry determines your misery or happiness,” she noted in November, suggesting that while career is paramount, a poor choice in a spouse can derail one’s peace of mind.
To further protect her autonomy, the 24-year-old also recently confirmed her decision to remain child-free, telling followers that she prefers a life defined by freedom rather than traditional family roles.
Majimbo’s cynical but humorous outlook on love appears to be informed by her own public relationship history. In 2022, she famously introduced a Caucasian boyfriend to her fans, sharing sweet moments of him styling her hair and playing chess—a game she has mastered, famously holding over 15 local tournament trophies from her youth in Kenya. However, that joy was short-lived. By early 2024, Elsa confirmed her split from her then-boyfriend, DJ Hakeem, following a fallout during a conference in Miami.
The breakup, she explained, was triggered by a lack of emotional support after a technician at the event made her feel uncomfortable while trying to attach a microphone to her dress. When her partner suggested she might have been “flirting” rather than standing by her, Elsa famously cut ties instantly. “You will never see me, smell me, nor hear from me again,” she told him—a promise she has seemingly kept as she doubles down on her “soulmate” career in the global fashion and comedy scenes.
