“Umoja wetu, ndo nguvu yetu” Rayvanny pushes for peace talks in WCB following Harmonize’s exit [interview]

Wasafi artist, Rayvanny calls for peace talks in the Wasafi family, urging fans to avoid mocking Harmonize.

Vanny Boy believes the incitement going on on social media against the former Wasafi artist, Harmonize might lead to the conclusion that WCB is jeering the tension.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B1Y_oWSnhsI/

However, according to the ‘Tetema’ singer, Wasafi artistes are like family, they love each other and have come from far. It is their unity and love that leads them to thrive and get the love from fans.

Furthermore, he believes that the Wasafi management cherishes their artistes and vice versa. However, he urgently points out the need for the Wasafi family to make peace and settle differences if any exist.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B1TZYZlA6Mc/

Because without the necessary love and unity, Wasafi will no longer be what it has grown to be, it will grow weaker and artistes will no longer be able to thrive like they are.

Therefore, both the management and Wasafi artistes should reconsider their positions urgently.

https://www.instagram.com/p/Bz8Gvrbp3r4/

Furthermore, he urges fans to stop sharing the negative energy towards Harmonize because it is totally unnecessary and he could end up thinking WCB is behind it all.

Ikitokea ata msanii katoka, ndani ya moyo wake anaipenda Wasafi. Ata management wakisema, huyu msanii hatumtaki, bado ndani ya moyo wao wanampenda. Lakini umoja wetu, ndo nguvu yetu.

Janet responds

Well, the mother of two says there is nothing wrong with having sex when a lady is on her periods; but there are a few precautions people should take.

The lady opened up saying;

“I don’t think there’s anything wrong, I just think you have to take certain precautions, you have to have a towel, you have to make sure that you’ve covered the sheets I guess. Some people find it very messy but I don’t there is anything wrong per say in terms of is it a health risk etc. Just take precautions is what I would say and here is another thing I would say, have your partner wear a latex condom if possible. It will protect against pregnancy and STIs,”

“I know in a year I do not repeat one shoe” multi-talented producer J Blessing reveals

Arguably one of Kenya’s richest music producers, Jibril Blessing’s love for shoes has him wear a different pair every single day in a year.

The veteran gospel producer is a household name in the field of music. His amazing music productions are proof enough of his creative talent and skills.

https://www.instagram.com/p/Bu8b3Ien-V4/

He has sailed through with music bigwigs, the likes of Avril who so far, has thrived in the world of Kenyan music and beyond.

However, up and close with KISS 100, he has an entirely different perspective of what life on earth means to him.

When asked about being on of Kenya’s richest music producers, J Blessing shares:

I am content with what I have. Richness or money doesn’t define who I am. I can buy what I want and need. I’ve never desired to be the richest person so I have never competed on that. I thank God I can get what I want when I need.

https://www.instagram.com/p/ByAqvYun3qx/

That aside, the multi-talented act is one to rarely repeat his shoes. This he confirms after being asked how many pairs of shoes he roughly as and this was his answer:

I do not know how many pairs I have, but I know in a year I do not repeat one shoe unless I have a favorite. I love shoes.

J Blessing’s main focus is currently on his sound accessories company, Pace Africa.

“Congratulations to Bahati. I love that guy so much” Mr Seed proves he holds no grudges

Gospel BFFs, Bahati and Mr Seed came so close yet so distant after their beef this year escalated to its highest.

The two have not only worked together, rather established a family under Bahati’s EMB record label.

While they were still boys, friendship was their everyday hustle. However, February this year, Kenyans witnessed a bitter fallout between the two, and it has never been the same again.

Money seemingly drew them apart both as colleagues, BFFs and family ties. Despite the feud, they now have each built their own kind of lifestyles and families.

On Sunday, Mr Seed spoke to ‘Word Is’ and shared a lot. Surprisingly, Mr Seed still has his respect for his more boss, Bahati as he congratulates the young couple on their newborn son, Majesty Bahati.

Congratulations to Bahati. I love that guy so much. I even texted him today to congratulate him but he didn’t respond. Congratulations to Diana as well.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B1WnE7unius/

It is all in the past for the ‘Simama’ singer who is grateful for his family. Even releasing his recent jam ‘Superstar’ in which he features wife, Nimo Gachuiri.

I’m very grateful to God. My family is growing.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B1YxISDBSdq/

The song release comes ahead of the multiple marriage scandals the couple has witnessed and to them, their union is truly one ordained by God.

“Sorry for the times I have made you cry!” Bahati pours out his heart to wife, Diana Marua

Gospel singer Bahati is one proud man after his wife Diana Marua welcomed his first son, Majesty a few days ago.

The excited singer recently shared a long post appreciating his wife for being a blessing in his life. Bahati went on to describe his wife as a queen and his number one person on earth.

He wrote saying;

Bahati’s post

Majesty

The couple has since been blessed with two kids, Heaven and Majesty and according to Diana Marua they will not be having any more kids in the near future.

A reflection of Bahati’s son

The couple also seems to be an inspiration to many youths who admire the type of relationship they share.

Ambae hajataka aondoke zake – a provoked Diamond dares Wasafi artistes to leave

WCB President, Diamond is irate with his own artistes who keep missing the ongoing Wasafi Festival 2019 that is already working him up.

According to him, if they don’t feel like it, they should pack up and leave! Further stating that he will not force anyone to be a part of the ongoing festival.

On Sunday, speaking in Moshi, the East African superstar dared his artists to leave, if not interested in showing up at the festival.

He started off in East Africa then proceeded to other parts of Africa before flying abroad for his scheduled performances, and he is now back to his motherland.

The ‘Kanyaga’ hitmaker posed to journalists:

Ila kama yule mwingine (Harmonize) ambae hajataka aondoke zake, kwani sisi anatusaidia na nini?

https://www.instagram.com/p/B1TEfRepYix/

On the list headlines Harmonize who already made his necessary move after featuring only once in the festival since it kicked off.

Further on, Diamond cited that the Wasafi festival platform cannot be available to all artistes but they try to equally give all, an opportunity.

However, Chibu adds that for one to secure an opportunity, then they must be ready to deliver and give their best shot to be considered in the next show.

Too much exaggeration! Rayvanny’s lavish lifestyle gets fans talking [Photos]

Wasafi artist, Rayvanny hasn’t spared fans after splashing social media with photos of his lavish home and flamboyant lifestyle.

The bongo star shares a series of photos of his lover and their kid at their mansion. That is not all. The team of bodyguards guarding the family of 3 is a complete draw back.

Well, it comes as no surprise if the recent chains of events showing his exotic expenditure is anything to go by. But hey, wait, this is just way overboard.

Fine, the ‘Tetema’ hitmaker did not have an all rosy childhood, sharing a video of his old times but he took it a little bit too far.

Take a look:

Additionally, barely months ago, Vanny Boy flaunted the brand new Mark X ride that he gifted his producer, S2Kizzy with.

This is sure evidence he is living life on the first lane and neither are any of the remaining Wasafi artists. Lest we forget, Diamond was busy making exotic purchases of Diamonds in the US.

“I don’t like my body. I don’t like my butt” Tanasha Donna gives in to trolls, set to undergo surgery next year (video)

Tanasha Donna is known for keeping it real with what her mama gave her. But this time, she seemingly wants to get some surgery done because she likes her body no more.

The Kenyan beauty was recently trolled for her weird-looking butt that didn’t look so good on her especially from the side.

And after her first pregnancy with Diamond’s child, seems her body changes are just not a vibe anymore for her.

The ‘radio’ singer has time and again maintained she loves her natural and will keep it that way. Well, what is new this time?

https://www.instagram.com/p/B1LXgXuAtnW/

Up on her Insta stories and according to a video captured by You Tube user, Dennis Milimo, the radio presenter airs:

There so much stuff I don’t like about myself. I don’t like my body. I don’t like my butt because actually I don’t have a butt that is just fact, as it is what it is. Actually I’m thinking of getting surgery done next year. But not silicon I’m gonna do a fat transfer and I’m gonna be quite open about it to be honest. But at the end of the day I believe what’s important is who you are deep down and who you are inside.

“Those things have to be there” Susumila rubbishes witchcraft claims

Mombasa-based musician, Susumila rubbishes trolls concerning witchcraft and growth in his music career.

The ‘hidaya’ singer recently made his song release dubbed ‘Warembo’ featuring Tanzanian singer, Lava Lava.

According to Mpasho, Susumila affirmed the rumors have been doing the rounds but haters will continue to hate while he is busy making moves.

I have heard that for a long time. But witchcraft and Majini don’t write lyrics. This new song is all about the lyrics and I’ve been doing music that speaks to people. These rumors are just from opponents who want to discredit any step that I take. I believe after this, they’ ll start saying that it’s because Governor Joho helped me with this project that’s why it’s flying high. So, those things have to be there. Jini haliwezi kukupatia vocals. It’s you and your talent.

However, speaking in relation to lava Lava’s exit from Wasafi label, he denies it. Stating that Lava Lava is still under Diamond’s label, just that the song is not a child of it.

He is still at WCB, there is how they work. But before this project, we had to talk to his management to sort things out.

Additionally affirming to Kenyans to prep up or his music collabos with Cedo, Ommy Dimpoz, Pozze and a Nigerian artists he was reluctant to disclose.

Anything precious is best kept hidden and that has been our policy – Waihiga Mwaura and wifey, Joyce Omondi affirm

Celebrity power couple, Joyce Omondi and Waihiga Mwaura have always been one to reckon with. They only leave so much detail for the public eye and hold the rest dearly.

Right from their relationship to their marriage, very little has been known about them let alone anticipated for.

The two apparently started having an eye for each other back when they were both still at Citizen TV. Waihiga as a sports anchor and Joyce as ‘Rauka’ gospel show host.

Up and close with ‘Salon magazine’ the couple disclosed intimate details of why their life has been kept under wraps for so long, and still is.

We keep to ourselves and rarely post about each other apart from special occasions. Anything precious is best kept hidden and that has been our policy.

Adding:

We decided to be very private about our relationship from the beginning. Many people (including our colleagues) did not know that we were dating until we got married. That is why this is the first and only interview we shall do in a very long time.

The couple further narrated how they met on a Sunday morning when Joyce was leaving the set of her show, back in 2012. Waihiga was on the run after her heart but she remained hesitant for a while.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BycyRHshniC/

Fortunately, she finally gave in and they started secretly dating that led to their wedding on the 18th of December, 2015 in Naivasha.

Octopizzo defends MCSK over ‘peanut’ payments, partly blames Diamond [Interview]

Amidst allegations shot towards MCSK for underpaying Kenyan artists, Octopizzo has instead come to their defense.

According to the Kibra-bred hip hop artist, Kenyan musicians should try and understand how the board settled on the payments first, instead of consistently ranting.

During his interview with Willis Raburu on ’10 over 10′, the philanthropist stated that what artists received is just but a portion of what they actually are to receive from MCSK.

Namba Nane articulated that the Ksh 2,530 distributed to artists across the board is for being a registered artist, not for their work rate.

Further sharing that there are ghost artists in the music industry who are actually reviving dues for what they haven’t worked for.

According to him, MCSK is set to pay artists come October, which will be for their airplay.

Kuna doh inatoka October, na hii sa ndio doh ya ma-airplay, sa inamanisha kama hupatangi airplay, hapa sasa inamanisha kuna wase hawatapata kitu.

Additionally slamming East African star, Diamond Platnumz for regularly collecting money from Kenya. Whereas Kenyan artists are not able to get the same from Tanzanian nor Uganda because such systems are not in place.

At least we got these systems, they are not available in Uganda and Tanzania. You cannot collect money from Tanzania if your song was played in East Africa. But Diamond Platnumz has been collecting money in Kenya.

Akothee

Furthermore, Madam Boss also advised Kenyan artists to focus more on brand building and fostering unity on the Kenyan land.

According to her, artistes should forget about MCSK and instead build themselves as individuals.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B1VYtzHnOwZ/

Speaking during a recent interview, Akothee believes, what is derailing the Kenyan music industry is lack of unity among artistes.

What I can say is that they should push themselves more. Forget about MCSK because the artistes also have a problem with unity so you will only hurt each other. Work on building your brands. Love each other, support each other. Right now we have AFRIMMA coming up, there are artists who have been nominated. Like us, like Tuva, like Willy Paul. Let’s support each other and notify the fans that we need their support.

Harmonize brings Sheebah on board on ‘Follow Me’

Harmonize brings Sheebah on board on Follow Me. What a jam? This is super dope. If you really love me follow me. Kondeboy is just doing great. I don’t know what to say about this guy. Everyday he keeps surprising us. To start with the duo is very talented.

An East Africa affair. All thee way from Tanzania to Uganda. I am loving this. Sheebah a Ugandan is a great artist and she is a household name there. I can assure you that you are going to replay this jam over and over. The Ugandan is known for her great work in her motherland. Who would have thought of such a collaboration.

What is ‘Follow Me’ about and relevance?

First we must understand what this jam is all about because I love it. The prowess in two languages is just on another level. Sheebah performs some lines in Kiganda. Man!! They are just dope. How perfect she has done it is worth your time.

Harmonize on follow me

Ta la la, ta la, Ta la la. This one goes to my number one. Ta la la, ta la. Ta la la. Fan eeh. Ta la la, ta la.Ta la la. This stanza has been performed by Harmonize. You can already feel the energy here. The introduction is just dope.

Also Harmonize has performed the next stanza. It goes like this;

Without you
Nothing I can be
Piki kosea ni same
Kwa my life sikusudi
My number one fan
Wendo mimi to a Ghetto
Kilikua sijulikani
Bila wewe nisinge kwefo, ooh

This is more of a love song. He tells the girl to let him do everything for her. I don’t know where he is supposed to be followed but I hope it is in life.

Amber Lulu featured in Don Brighter new jam ‘ Nionyeshe’

Amber Lulu featurd in Don Brighter new jam Nionyeshe. After releasing a hit song with the East African legend Kidumu Kibido, Don Brighter is not resting until he is out of words. Here the club banger in Bongo flava style with the Queen of Tanzania Amber Lulu. This track speaks about how people in relationships act to each other to try to make sure their significant other are happy in that relationship.

The duo has a great feel and their performance for this song is dope. It is something that you are going to playback every now and then.

Amber Lulu featured in Nionyeshe

Amber Lulu who in the recent has come clear of her engagement with Kenyan politician cum artist is perfect. We need to see a collaboration of her with Jaguar. This girl is super talented even if she lays low. Don Brighter has the best lyrics for this jam.

Nionyeshe is that song that gives you love like never before. Do not struggle to make another person in a relationship make sure you are also happy.

What is Nionyeshe about?

Basically in this song the duo is talking about how one is trying to make sure the other is happy. Isn’t this what most people do? It is more of a love song though given a club feeling. The song is smooth and slow. Also the quality of the video is awesome.

Don Brighter in Nionyeshe

It is not so often that we get such a nice collaboration. Although the Nionyeshe is good, it seems like their fans are not feeling it. The jam is yet to hit 10k likes on YouTube. Is it that people do not appreciate good music or they do not know?

In conclusion, Amber Lulu and Don Brighter can only get a rating of 5/10 in this.

Harmonize featured in John Frog Guondo Sakit Remix

Harmonize has been featured in John Frog’s Guondo Sakit Remix. Kondeboy has been seen recently trying to promote upcoming artists. This collaboration for Guondo Sakit Remix just shows how flexible this guy is. Although rumors has it that he has left Wasafi he is still doing better out there and other artists are still sorting him out.

In addition to that, Guondo Sakit Remix flows well and the performance is just amazing. They all have performed ina a way that even if one does not get the words the beat is enough. To add on this, there is enough energy. This guys are filled with life.

Relevance of Guondo Sakit Remix

Harmonize gets better day by day in whatever his does and this remix just proves it. To start with we are going to find out the meaning of what we are dancing to. John Frog is the first South Sudanese Artist to make a collaboration network with Wasafi’s singer Harmonize in the history of South Sudan music.

John Frog Guondo Sakit Remix features Harmonize

Also as for many South Sudanese , John Frog is the newest musician who emerged from nowhere with Guondo sakit single, which captured the youth and the music lovers mind with his lyrics in Arabic Juba.

Aam-shi, are you in Guondo Saki, Ey Lom? Ana ma guondo is sick Yazol ma kalas ara nalaf disco deh Angry wahid ked yaki. To start with am not sure what this is but from the dance it is all about a girl and love.

Also video production was well catered for in this jam. It is super clear meeting the international standards. Who would have thought a Sudanese can do this.

Harmonize appearance in the remix just captures a lot of fans. I mean look at it this way he is the first to do a collaboration with a Sudan national.

In conclusion, the remix gets a rating of 6/10.

‘Pita Nao’ new tune in Ghetto Anthems

Pita Nao is the newest tune in Ghetto Anthem. The jam has brought together some of the known people in the game. It is a captivating jam if you are a fan of this kin of music. Also the participants include; Dezian, Exray(Boondocks Gang), Dj Slim B and Kay Green(ADF Family).

Each and everyone of the crew has delivered their lines in the best way possible. I am always left wondering who comes up with the ideas. Also how do they know who is going to do what? It is not an easy task I believe.

Ever asked yourself how they select who is going to do what? In this case it seems like Dezian chose the best to work with him in Pita Nao.

Dezian in Pita Nao

Ghetto Anthems have become the order of the day. They are being played in every part of town be it on Tv or Radio. It is a good thing that Kenyans have accepted this generation. Although they are accepted still their content is worrying.

What is ‘Pita Nao’ about?

To start with we must understand what Pita Nao is about. You realize that most of these got hidden meaning. Some talk about sex, drugs and women. Anyway that is all about Ghetto Anthems. The song to start with is vulgar. There is line where someone says that nitakuita John juu umenibaptize. What a joke in this industry.

Dj Slim B in Pita Nao

In addition to the funny lyrics, the video is just the usual thing that this kind of artists give us. No originality. We have ladies twerking through out the jam. Sijui wanapita nao hadi wapi.

Dezian Tyrone is a Kenyan recording and performing Artist based in Nairobi. We are not going to argue more about this dude. If he wants to remain at the top of the game he needs to change his style of music. In conclusion, Pita No can only get a rating of 5/10.

My son Dylan takes after his father Diamond – Hamisa Mobetto reveals

Tanzanian model and actress, Hamisa Mobetto speaks of similarities her son, Dylan shares with his daddy, Diamond Platnumz.

In a candid interview with Tanzania’s ‘Dizzim’ the bongo socialite cited that her son, has exhibited interest in the field of music since his birth, particularly to Diamond’s music.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B087un5lnBI/

She shares:

Daylan likes dancing. He knows so much of his father’s songs. When he sees his dad on TV, he watches the video till the end. He really knows his dad.

Hamisa Mobetto came into picture while Diamond was married to Zari Hassan. This is after a bond grew between him and Hamisa while shooting his ‘Salome’ jam where she was a video vixen.

First, he was in denial but after much push and pull from Hamisa, Diamond gave in and admitted the child is his.

However, despite it all, Hamisa holds no grudges uttering:

I have gone through a lot in relationships. I have learnt that you can love someone and they show you that they love you, yet they don’t love you as much as you do. And also, everyone is not your ex, the next man might be better than the previous. I don’t have a reason to hold a grudge.

Wondering David on ‘Zunguka’, what a wonder

Wondering David is back with a new single dubbed ‘Zunguka’. Zunguka is a gospel song. The gospel artist has been trying to keep the gospel going. This is an industry that Kenyans have not given a 100% support.  David Wonder is talented even after he left EMB records for Safri records.

Zunguka talks about how he wondered before finding God. On a light note, could this be the origin of the name David Wonder? Although the industry has a lot of scandals, this dude is talented. First, the message in the song is very clear. It is an easy song to grasp. I can assure you that by the end of 2 days you will have the chorus on your fingertips.

David Wonder Zunguka

What is the song ‘Zunguka’ about?

There are lines that you are going to like. To start with the introduction stanza goes like;  Oooh nilizunguka Zunguka yeah yeah  Kabla sijakupata  Nilizunguka yeah yeah.

Wacha na ijulikane Mungu wangu anaishi Tangu si tupatane Sijawai kosa dishi. Also in this stanza it shows that God is the provider in his life. Sijawai Kosa dishi simply means he has never lacked food.

To add on that, there is this stanza which brings out a typical hustle. He talks about how one has to bribe officials to get a job. Am sure Kenyans are not new to this; Kupata kazi kwa ofisi Lazima uhonge mafisi Na binadamu hawaridhiki Lakini kwako kwako kwako.

Also there is stanza he talks about he he had to survive. This is the life most Kenyans are living; Sometimes ata nakosa  Kuwekea skuma kitunguu Na mengine sitasema Nitawahadithia wajukuu.

Relevance of the song

With no doubt, this song explains the kind of tribulations most Kenyans go through. It comes at a time when joblessness is key and people going to bed hungry. It could not have been said better. In conclusion, the song zunguka is good. Wondering David gets a rating of 6/10 on this one.

Madini Classic new jam ‘Nitavumilia’ is filled with pain

Madini Classic has a new song dubbed Nitavumilia. To start with, the  jam comes out after he talks about his girl and the beef with Eric Omondi. Nitavumilia is all about him coping with situation-ships. The Kenyan made artist has been on the limelight.

Madini is talented and he keeps it burning. In this new jam it is evident that he has been going through a lot and thus the song. Him hitting the media waves seems like it was a plot.

Also, there is a line where he talks about Mama Madini asking about grandchildren whereas on social media they talking of him neglecting his girlfriend. Who stole his love? Mama Madini roho yake. Kenyans are always informed. Yani online FBI’s.

What is ‘Nitavumilia’ about?

To start with, the way Madini starts the song, you’ll realize there is a lot of pain. Ni kama nakosa pumzi Maneno yanakwisha eeh Nimeona mengi Binadamu hawana mema eeh. Actually, it seems that someone hurt him Trusting human beings is a full time death job. He says that human beings are never thankful.

Madini Classic on Nitavumilia
Secondly in this stanza he talks how bad human beings are.Ona wanasema nanii  Kamtongoza nanii Hata baada ya kuniibia haoni Binadamu wabaya. Someone stole from him. This is Kenya..

Also he  goes on to say that even his friends are talking about him; Ona nabaki nalia na moyo wangu(Sana) Wananitukana mpaka wezangu(Sana) Nani aponye kidonda changu? Mama Madini roho yangu Nitavumilia tu(Kwa sana) Mimi nitavumilia(Kwa sana) Nitavumilia tu(Kwa sana) Mimi nitavumilia(Kwa sana).

To add on that in this next stanza what does he say; Oooh ona maadui hawajalala Wananipigia mpaka usiku Eti handsome umekula? Ndio kesho waseme seme. It seems like enemies are surrounding him from either side.

In addition to the message, I must say that this jam was well written. This guy can write. Also the way he has delivered the jam. First look at the lyrical presentation.

In conclusion, as much as the jam is bitter Nitavumilia is great. Madini Classic thought about it. Last but not least, Nitavumilia gets a rating of 5/10.

“God wanted to teach me a lesson” J Blessing’s recounts last memories of his months-old son

Veteran gospel producer, J Blessing narrates the last days of his baby boy with ex, Chantelle, 4 years ago.

The little baby boy, Kyle was just 6 months old when he passed on. The couple eventually parted ways but memories of their son remain glued to their minds like it was just yesterday.

Speaking to ‘Mpasho’, the multi-talented video director narrated the trauma of losing his young one as he shared:

When he was sick, he was given an immunization injection and a few weeks later he passed on.

God’s will

However, he strongly believed this was God’s time to heal his son, beside human expertise, in terms of Doctors.

During that time I was going through a lot in life and I remember when doctors talked to us about his health status, I was like I’m sure God is going to heal him. I went home that night and prayed. Around 8 am I told God please heal my son, you’ve always been in my life but behind the scenes, whereby things happen but I can really confirm if it’s you. Because people talk of God doing miracles in their lives and this was the time I wanted to see him doing something visible.

Unfortunately, that was not God’s will.

Five minutes after the prayer, I got a call from the hospital that my son had passed way.

Interventions

Jibril Blessing recalls his efforts and his mum’s, trying by all means to get a cure for their young one, all in vain.

During that period two weeks periods when my son was sick. My mum and I were so desperate for our son’s healing. We felt like God wasn’t hearing our prayers so we decided to use people as mediators between us and God. Even some of our friends told us to get money (for tithe) and take the child to ‘prayer warriors’ for prayers. A lot happened and we were so desperate for healing.

Hardly did he know that this was a way of God asking the gospel producer to change his ways especially towards fellow humans.

And to date, every time he recalls losing his Kyle to death, it is not as remorseful because deep within, God’s will was fulfilled.

I was very proud and arrogant at that time. I remember I called every single person that I knew I had wronged. That’s when I got a message that God wanted to teach me a lesson. Kyle was a message of reconciliation if someone tells me I lost my son, I don’t feel like I lost him because right now I’m full of reconciliation. It affected me so much because I love kids. I was brought up alone and went through a lot.

Chantelle

His ex-baby mama, Chantelle’s last message to their dear son read:

I will really really miss you my love, you will always be my son, my first born, my everything my will was to have you for a 100 years but you are an angel that God really wanted, I am blessed to have had you for all those months you taught me a lot, I will always celebrate you my munchkin. I know you”re smiling from above, I love you my son.

MCSK’s defense over ‘peanuts’ payment to Kenyan artistes

Music Copyright Society of Kenya finally speaks after public outrage and artistes’ uproar over alleged ‘peanuts’ pay as royalties.

Just mid last week, Kenya’s music industry big wigs across the board, received payments as their music royalties but to their shock.

Celebrity rapper, Khaligraph Jones took the first step in exposing the disrespect accorded to them by the copyright society having received just Ksh 2,530, back and front.

Soon after, fellow artists followed suite to back up the expose that has since then gone viral.

Defense

Compelling the music body to respond to the allegations but in all earnest tried to defend themselves.

According to MCSK, they distributed royalties to all their 13,967 members but are yet to receive a dime from any broadcasters who exploit music.

MCSK’s tweets read:

Surprisingly, the same board earlier indicated that this is a ‘general distribution’ for artists nationally.

KECOBO

The umbrella body, Kenya Copyright Board (KECOBO), issued a statement confirming the disbursement of Ksh 80 Million for the 2nd quarter of the year.

And according to the body, this amounts to 68% of total revenue amassed within the period.

Therefore the Ksh 2,530 that Kenyan artists have received is just but the first slice of royalty received this year. Further on, KECOBO states that royalties of the first quarter of the year will be disbursed ‘in due course’.

Years and still counting, Kenyan artistes are pleading with MCSK over their rightful pay via the campaign ‘Pay Our Dues, Please’.

Ni bora nife nikiwa naheshimika kuliko kufa halafu watu wataniongelelea vibaya – Ali Kiba

Tanzanian bongo star, Ali Kiba declares he’d rather die with respect than leave behind a bad reputation.

According to him, there is no need to fake lifestyle just for the fame that comes with it. Then days after his death, all the world can remember him for is the bad.

Speaking in a recent interview with Burundi-based media “Fanny”, the family man believes he has been living real and keeping it real with fans.

In the current age and time, King Kiba cites fact that many stars are faking their lifestyle, busy causing scandals and trying to grab the public’s attention just to gain popularity.

Sadly adding that this is what actually captures the hearts and attention of many while artists who keep it real, are drawn away from the public light.

However, what matters most to him, is the legacy he lives behind and being real and positive in this life.

Ni vizuri nife, ni bora nife nikiwa naheshimika kuliko kufa halafu watu wataniongelelea vibaya, wamekushusha dhamani. Ukiwa mkweli kidogo ni kama hawapendi, ama hawawezi kufuatilia, mpaka uadanganye, lakini kiukweli mimi napenda kuwa real, niongee vitu vyangu, nifanya mambo yangu ambayo yako very positive.
