Salvation Healing Ministry founder Pastor Victor Kanyari has raised fresh concerns about social media personality Marion Naipei, claiming she has not fully abandoned her drinking habits despite previously joining his church and taking on ministry-related responsibilities.
Speaking during his Sunday service on April 26, 2026, Kanyari recounted an incident he alleged occurred during a recent campaign outing where they were together.
He claimed that Naipei became heavily intoxicated at the event, leading to disruptive behaviour that he described as inconsistent with the purpose of the engagement. According to him, she began confronting members of the public, including individuals he had approached during the campaign.
“We had gone out for my campaigns, and Marion Naipei got so drunk that she forgot she was with me. She started lashing out at people, even those I was engaging, telling them we didn’t need their votes,” Kanyari said.
Kanyari stated that the situation escalated, forcing him to step in and ask her to withdraw from the public setting and return to the car to prevent further disruption.
He further alleged that even after leaving the scene, she remained highly intoxicated and urinated in the vehicle.
“I had to step in and ask her to go back to the car because things were getting out of hand. But even then, she was still very intoxicated, and it became difficult to manage the situation,” he said.
The pastor did not provide independent evidence to support the claims, but used the account during his sermon to caution against behaviour he said contradicts spiritual transformation.
Concerns over addiction
In an earlier address on March 29, 2026, Kanyari had also spoken about Naipei’s alleged struggle with alcohol, despite having entrusted her with responsibilities within the church.
He noted that guiding some individuals toward change can be particularly difficult, comparing the experience to trying to tame a wild animal.
“With Marion Naipei, it feels like trying to tame a wild animal,” he said.
He claimed that she had been drinking throughout the previous night yet was expected to attend church early the following day. According to him, she often arrives late and makes a noticeable entrance during services.
“Marion Naipei was drinking all night yesterday, yet she is expected in church. You will see her arrive late and walk in dramatically,” he added.
Kanyari said he has repeatedly urged her to stop drinking, but her actions continue to contradict her assurances. He also claimed there were visible signs suggesting she had recently consumed alcohol, despite saying she had quit.
“She drank the whole of Saturday, and I have been telling her to stop. She says she has stopped, but you can still see signs,” he said.
Despite the challenges, Kanyari maintained that he remains committed to mentoring her and helping her change, even as he acknowledged that the process can be difficult.
“Even if I was called to help people change, some individuals are harder to guide. But I will keep trying, even though it is not easy,” he said.
