Mokaya, Mjaka Mfine, and Malcolm respond to allegations they were subjected to Tanzanian travel ban

Kenyan content creators Mokaya, Mjaka Mfine, and Malcolm have addressed reports circulating on social media claiming they were denied entry into Tanzania following the release of satirical videos referencing Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan.

The three creators found themselves at the centre of online discussion after their comedy skits, which touched on recent political conversations involving Tanzania, gained significant attention across East Africa.

Despite the widespread claims, no official communication from Tanzanian authorities has been issued confirming that the trio has been banned from entering the country or placed under any travel restrictions.

Online Speculation Grows

The rumours gained momentum after users on TikTok, Instagram, and X began sharing posts alleging that Tanzanian officials were unhappy with the creators’ satirical portrayals of President Samia Suluhu Hassan.

As the claims spread, the videos attracted thousands of reactions, with audiences from both Kenya and Tanzania weighing in on the debate.

The skits quickly went viral, fueling further speculation about the creators’ status and their ability to travel to Tanzania.

Creators Respond

In separate responses shared online, Mokaya, Mjaka Mfine, and Malcolm appeared to downplay the reports, treating them as part of the ongoing social media buzz surrounding their content.

Rather than directly confirming or denying the allegations, the creators responded in a light-hearted manner, suggesting they were unfazed by the speculation.

Their reactions have only added to the conversation, with supporters and critics continuing to debate the impact of political satire and the role of content creators in addressing topical issues through comedy.

As of now, there has been no official confirmation from Tanzanian authorities regarding the claims circulating online.

‘Strictly Business’- Mjaka Mfine Denies Dating Mokaya

The digital space has been buzzing with speculation, but content creator Mjaka Mfine (Mitchelle Joyce Akoth Oruko) is officially hitting the brakes on the dating narrative involving fellow comedian Mokaya.

Despite their undeniable on-screen spark, Mjaka Mfine made it clear in a recent interview on March 23, 2026, that their bond is built on scripts and skits, not soulmates.

”It’s All About the Bag”

When confronted with the rumors fueled by their frequent collaborations, Mjaka’s response was direct and unsentimental. She emphasized that her eyes are on the prize—and that prize isn’t a relationship. She stated that they are just working and urged fans to drop the story. Even when asked if she’d ever consider a romantic shift, she remained firm, noting that her focus is entirely on her work and her financial growth.

Why Fans Are Skeptical

It’s easy to see why the “shipping” started. The duo has mastered the art of viral engagement through frequent appearances in matching outfits and seamless comedic timing that keeps audiences on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook hooked. Furthermore, occasional dance videos have led many fans to interpret their chemistry as something more than “just friends.”

”Enemy ni mmoja,” she noted, suggesting that anything distracting her from her career—including romantic rumors—is the real opposition.

The Professional Powerhouse

Mjaka Mfine has become a central figure in Mokaya’s viral skits, a partnership that has significantly boosted both their brands. While fans may want a “happily ever after,” Mjaka is focused on ensuring their collaboration remains a powerhouse of Kenyan digital entertainment rather than a tabloid romance.

Mosirai defends TikTok star Mjaka Mfine over explosive X-rated content leak allegations

Nairobi County Chief Officer Geofrey Mosiria has stepped in to defend popular content creator Mitchell, better known online as Mjaka Mfine, following explosive claims that have been making rounds on social media.

The rumours, which quickly went viral, alleged that Mitchell appeared in a leaked adult video—an incident netizens jokingly branded as one that was “uniting Kenyans.” However, Mosiria has firmly dismissed the claims as baseless and malicious.

“I Didn’t Rush to Comment”

Speaking on the matter, the Chief Officer for Citizen Engagement and Customer Service said he deliberately avoided reacting impulsively to the online frenzy. Instead, he chose to verify facts and consult relevant experts before making a public statement.

“I chose not to rush to comment. Instead, I took time to gather facts, review evidence, and consult relevant government experts to establish the truth,” Mosiria said.

He warned that digital defamation can be devastating, especially for young people whose reputations and livelihoods are built online. According to him, a single lie can cost someone future opportunities.

“That Is Not Her”

Mosiria was unequivocal in clearing Mitchell’s name. He stated that he knows her personally and confirmed that she is not the woman featured in the circulating video.

“For those who genuinely know our sister, the truth is clear: that is not her. I know her personally, and the person in the circulating video is completely different,” he said.

He described attempts to link Mitchell to the video as false, malicious, and deliberately harmful.

Jealousy and Digital Rivalries?

The county official also questioned the timing of the allegations, noting that they surfaced shortly after his younger brother, Mokaya—also a content creator—openly expressed interest in Mitchell.

According to Mosiria, the highly competitive nature of the digital space may have fueled the smear campaign.

“In a highly competitive digital space, it is possible that rivals, fear, or jealousy contributed to the spread of this false and damaging content,” he noted.

A Brand at Risk

Beyond personal reputation, Mosiria pointed out that Mitchell is a brand ambassador, meaning the allegations threaten her income and hard-earned partnerships.

He lamented a growing culture where online audiences celebrate the downfall of others, but expressed confidence that the truth would ultimately prevail.

“Lies may trend, but they never last. Let us choose unity, truth, and responsibility, and stop destroying lives through fake content,” he said.

Mosiria ended his statement by reassuring Mitchell and urging her to remain calm, insisting that the truth is undeniable.

Mjaka Mfina and Jalang’o: Kuna nini kati yao?

Content creator Mitchelle, popularly known as Mjaka Mfine, has addressed the controversy linking her to Lang’ata MP Jalang’o after private chats between them leaked online. The conversations fueled speculation about the nature of their relationship.

Mitchelle has now clarified the matter, explaining that the MP was only assisting her in recovering a stolen iPhone.

The Missing iPhone

The saga began when Mitchelle lost her iPhone during a university event. Days later, she noticed a man named Cedo advertising a phone online that looked identical to hers and was being sold at a suspiciously low price. Convinced it was the same device, she confronted him and also reported the matter to the police. However, the authorities told her they were unable to trace it.

Frustrated, Mitchelle decided to seek help from people she believed could intervene.

How Jalang’o Got Involved

Among those she reached out to was Jalang’o. She shared Cedo’s number with the MP, and the two later contacted him. Mitchelle revealed that she, Jalang’o, and Cedo’s mother joined a phone call together, where they discussed the situation and tried to resolve it.

Not long after, the chats surfaced online, sparking rumors that her connection with the legislator went beyond the lost phone. Some even speculated that the MP was financially supporting her.

Mitchelle strongly denied the claims, stressing that her only interaction with Jalang’o was in pursuit of her missing iPhone.

Setting the Record Straight

She maintained that she has proof to support her account, including call recordings and text exchanges with Jalang’o and Cedo. She also dismissed claims that they threatened Cedo during the conversations.

Equally, Mitchelle rejected suggestions that her lifestyle is funded by the MP, explaining that she still depends on her parents for financial support.

“I, who still rely on my parents, just because I asked for help,” she remarked, expressing disbelief at the online backlash.

For her, the situation was blown out of proportion. At its core, she said, the story was simple: she lost her phone, sought help, and Jalang’o stepped in.

While the incident has attracted widespread attention, Mitchelle insists the matter should be seen for what it is — an effort to recover her stolen device, not a scandal.
