Nyota Ndogo has appealed to fans for prayers after another snake was reportedly spotted at her home, leaving the coastal-based artiste shaken and questioning whether the repeated incidents could be more than ordinary bad luck.
The latest scare reportedly happened on the night of Saturday, May 16, when the singer claimed a snake attempted to enter her house.
“I Need Prayers”
Sharing the incident on social media, Nyota Ndogo admitted that the recurring snake encounters have started making her uneasy.
According to the singer, earlier sightings had happened around her workplace, but this latest incident occurring at her home felt more personal and frightening.
“I need prayers. God has protected me from many things and I believe He will not allow evil to reach me,” she captioned a video showing the snake.
Nyota suggested that while snakes are naturally occurring animals, the repeated appearances have left her wondering whether there could be a spiritual element behind the incidents.
She jokingly remarked that if the reptiles were being sent by “wachawi” (witches), then those behind it must be working overtime, while maintaining that no power is greater than God.
Previous Snake Incident at Construction Site
The frightening encounter comes just days after another snake was discovered at her construction site on May 14.
At the time, the singer revealed that the reptile had nearly bitten one of her workers, prompting those present to kill it immediately.
Nyota defended the decision after facing criticism online from users who argued that the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) should have been contacted instead.
“So, in that split second when a dangerous thing is coming at you, do you really think there is time to call KWS?” she questioned.
The singer added that snakes are generally viewed as dangerous animals and noted that even religious teachings often portray them negatively, which contributes to her fear of them.
Responds to “Sacrifice” Rumours
Nyota Ndogo also addressed rumours and conspiracy theories that often emerge online whenever tragedies or strange incidents happen around public figures.
According to the singer, if her employee had been bitten and died, critics would likely have accused her of using the worker as a sacrifice for wealth and success.
“If this snake had bitten my employee and caused their death, people right now would be talking about how I sacrificed them to get rich,” she said.
She criticised social media users for quickly judging her actions despite the immediate danger posed during the incident.
“But because they managed to kill it first, most of the comments on Facebook are saying, ‘You shouldn’t have killed it,’” she added.
