Legendary Nigerian musician, Innocent Idibia was known as 2face has added another feather to his hat. He received a music fellowship award at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun State, Yesterday March 20th, 2019. His wife, Annie Idibia was also at the event. See photos below:
As the longest standing feud in the Nigerian entertainment industry between 2Face and Blackface continues to gather more stones, comedian, Basketmouth has weighed in on the issue.
This was in a video shared on his Instagram page. In the video, the comedian is seen listening to the song with his ‘My Flatmates’ crew.
He, however, went further to reveal the possible solution to the feud which he said he had already shared with 2Baba.
According to the comedian, he had already told the singer to settle his embittered former teammate with a token. The singer should have settled Blackface with 72,000 Naira long ago, he said.
He wrote:
Black Face….why naaaa????? @official2baba I don tell you make you find small N72,500 settle this boy since.
You no de hear word.

One of the members of the defunct Plantashun Boiz group, Blackface, continues to pelt allegations of his former teammate, 2Face Idibia.
The most recent allegation is coming in the form of a diss track titled ‘War’. In the song, the singer levelled several allegations at the ‘African Queen’ crooner. These allegations range from song theft to hypocrisy and being gay. According to him, 2Baba practised same sex to become successful.

After some series of posts on social media from Annie Idibia and 2face, people were of the thought that their marriage was crashing. Some people believed that 2face has impregnated another woman. Well, it seems that they are okay now. 2face tweets on Twitter suggests that nothing is wrong with his family.

Blackface doesn’t seem to want to end the war with 2face over copyright infringement. Well, in an interview with Max Fm 2face talks about the beef amongst others.
In the words of the “Let me love you” crooner, he said: ‘na only Black fit explain the problem he get with me‘. Both musicians already have a case in court over copyright infringement.
Justin Idibia who is 2face second son has been honoured with the Black Student Academic Achievement award in his school in the US. His proud mom, Pero shared the news on Instagram. She wrote:
“thank you Justin for making me so proud. You are destined for greatness. God’s special gift to me. My son Agaba’idu, my heart, my joy, my everything. I couldn’t have missed this for anything in the world. Love you Son. Black students achievement award for academic success.”

Fans, friends and family of Innocent Idibia also known as 2face, it’s that time of the year again for his Buckwyld ‘n’ Breathless concert. The concert will take place at the Eko Convention center on the 20th of October 2018 by 7 pm.

In an interview with the Gist, 2face and some other entertainers speaks about the world of entertainment.
“My parents taught me to respect everybody no matter their level in society. I’ve carried that all the way in my life. “You never know who you meet. Everybody has potential. Everybody is capable of becoming somebody, becoming massive, becoming huge. “With a few money in my pocket and a few people saying ‘hey what’s up, what’s up’ doesn’t mean that I don’t go to the toilet no more. “E no mean say when hunger dey catch me my own na iron I dey chop. Na the same normal food as you dey chop. The same normal water. All of us dey bleed the same blood. “For me, I look at everybody as a creation of the almighty and we are all created equal. Except you do anyhow around me then I go respect myself and free you. “So I’ve lived with that principle and I think I’m going to live like that till I die. “I think it’s just out of the fact that I’m in the same industry and I know what it takes and what everybody goes through so I respect everybody’s hustle.”

Annie Idibia said her fans and Instagram users should ask her any question and she will provide answers. The actress in answering one of the questions said she can’t ever leave her husband .

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the campaign is a collaboration of the 2Face Idibia Foundation, Youngstars Development Initiative (YDI) and Youth Initiative for Advocacy, Growth and Advancement (YIAGA).u
According to the reports, the collaboration also involved Centre for Ethics and Youth Development (CEYD), Gender Perspective and Social Development Centre (GPSDC) and Integrity Youth Development Initiative (IYDI).
While addressing newsmen at the ceremony in Awka, The music legend stressed the need for the general public to work together in order to prevent loss of lives before, during and after the election.
“Since 2015, I and the partner organisations on the Vote Not Fight campaign have worked tirelessly to increase youth participation in our country’s election.
“I call on youth of Anambra to ensure that they go out and vote for the candidates of their choice.
“The legitimacy of government is dependent on peaceful, free, fair and credible elections,” he said.
He added that even if Biafra was granted, they would still need peace for the elections to hold. 2Baba encouraged them to show maturity as well as vote responsibly.
“We have to monitor and engage our leaders. I encourage our youths to join political parties of their choice and grow to help make informed decisions,” he said.
2Face Idibia
Idibia went on to urge political parties and candidates to utilize the established legal avenues if they had concerns about the election.
He also urged traditional and religious rulers, elder statesmen as well as youth and women groups to join the campaign against violence during the election and play by the rules.
Mr. Kingsley Bangwell of Yougstars Foundation, earlier disclosed that some Anambra-based youth groups had been trained on non-violent election advocacy and voter education skills to ensure effective campaigns.
Bangwell went on to add that the youths also acquired training on advocacy skills to allow them to organise their communities for peaceful participation in the governorship election.

Chairman of Peoples Progressives Alliance (PPA) in the state, Mr Mathias Ameke, commended Idibia for helping to promote peaceful elections while urging politicians to obey the rule of law.
“Young people are key to nationhood and until they are led on the right path, they may continue to deviate.
“They must be taught that elections are not do-or-die and taught to develop the spirit of sportsmanship,” he said.
NAN reports that 2Face and the campaign team had goten some governorship candidates, including Mr. Oseloka Obaze of PDP and Gov. Willie Obiano of APGA, to endorse the campaign.
2Face Idibia has since become reputable for taking part i campaigns that aid the needy as well as promoting peace within the country.
