But his long kept secret was finally let out of the bag when self-proclaimed up-and-raising dancehall general singer Byaxy, real name David Byakatonda, revealed that he was his amateur fashion designer during his times of hustle.

One of Uganda’s most popular social events, the Goat Races, is back, the organisers announced today. The event, which carved a special place as the most anticipated event on Uganda’s social calendar returns to Kampala after a six-year break.

At an official announcement made Friday, July 13 at the Speke Apartments in Kampala, the organisers confirmed the long wait is over as the ultimate fun show in Uganda will be happening on Saturday, August 25, 2018.

This event which was last held in 2012, will be hosted at its customary venue of Speke Resort, Munyonyo, and is powered by Tusker Malt. It promises to recreate one of the most eagerly awaited weekends of merrymaking and extravagant fashion, which were the hallmarks of the Goat Races for years.

“The Goat Races were easily the most popular event on Uganda’s social calendar for all the time they were held, so we wanted to bring that amazing experience back with fun-filled activities everyone can participate in,” said Sheena Ruparelia, the event coordinator, at the relaunch press conference.

“Our focus is on the races and activities around that, but there will be hospitality tents available, a food court with up to 10 types of cuisines; a beer garden, cocktail and champagne bars, sport games, silent disco areas, and chill-out lounges,” she added.

“We are excited about the return of the Goat Races, which we consider the social event any fun-loving person would look forward to the most in Uganda. We jumped at the opportunity to partner with the Goat Races because no fun event of this kind is complete without Tusker Malt. We want guys to really make the most of it,” said Grace Namutebi, Brand Manager, Premium Beers at Uganda Breweries.

City tycoon and Socialite Sulaiman Kabangala alias SK Mbuga 34, has been finally released from Awir Central Jail in Dubai.

“Yes, he is out but still in Dubai clearing himself off,”close sources have revealed.

SK Mbuga was arrested in Dubai in January earlier this year on allegations of fraud together with his wife Angella Vivienne Chebet.

The couple was accused of fraudulent transfer of money amounting to 53m Kronor (about Shs23 billion) from a company account that Chebet was running with her 71-year- old Swedish boyfriend, Sten Heinsoo.

However, the whereabouts of Mrs. Chebet remain unclear.  Chebet had been arrested and charged in a Swedish court in February last year but she later disappeared and ran back to Uganda.

Ykee Benda was seen hitting back at his critics while singing a praising song saying those who are feeling bad cause he is set to a board the fly Emirates to join him and also have the experience of flying to Russia.

Hard work pays, it truly does. Irene Ntale has flown to United States of America for vacation with her friends just a few days after she held her successful Ntale Unchained concert that happened over the weekend at Serena Hotel.

There is always a sense of great satisfaction that comes when you achieve beyond your expectations as per the targets you set prior to a particular task. When Irene Ntale and her management decided to hold the Ntale Unchained concert this year, not many music fans were sure she would pull it off – perhaps she too had a few moments of doubt a few times in the build up to the D-day.

Preparations were perfectly executed and Irene Ntale held a very successful concert at Serena Hotel on 6th July 2018. From the sound, to lighting, to outfits, to the performances, everything was on point and the fans flocked Victoria Hall in big numbers. What else would a female artiste coming from a hard time of quitting record label management for a solo career ask for?
