Seasoned journalist and mother of one, Betty Kyallo recently made the headlines with her viral angry online rant, while tipsy. However, her story has been told by many.

The K24 news anchor made the video public because she had just had enough of bottling in her emotions, for a greater majority who probably never even cared.

Responding to her critics after her video did the rounds, she unapologetically bashed:

I don’t care because I do my best and work so hard. I am a mum, not yet a wife but hopefully soon. I’m also a businesswoman so for anybody who’s gonna hate on this video and say Betty Kyallo spotted drunk, f**k you!

The line between the truth and a lie is a thin one to draw, especially when it is a celebrity versus a common mwananchi.

Betty Kyallo in the week accused her daughter´s former nanny of theft despite paying her monthly dues as agreed upon.

[Un]fortunately, Betty´s nanny has been traced and she has spoken in regards the same. Consolata Wawira during an interview with Tuko, bashed the allegations, instead splashing mud on Betty.

First, Consolata denied ever stealing, not just from Betty, but from her former employers as well. Second, the nanny revealed that working for Betty has been back-breaking.

Ms Wawira stated that she started working for Betty on 5th of April 2019, just after Ivanna had left the ICU.

Often times, Betty seldom came home or to therapy and the nanny had to take care of Ivanna by herself.

Shockingly, Consolata confessed that she would sleep with Ivanna in one room because Betty was never around.

On a fateful day, Betty called upon the nanny for a talk, only to be accused of being a thief. Ms Wawira however denied the allegations.

On Monday alipokuja nyumbani ndio aliniita akaniambia anataka tuongee. Akaniuliza kwa nini namuibia.

After all, this nanny did not understand what she could steal in a house that was left empty – no food, nothing!

¨Infact, we have really suffered this January without resources¨ the nanny added.

Consolata further said that if at all she was a thief like Betty claimed, she would have been behind bars long ago, having worked in the profession for more than 10 years now.

Well, she stepped out looking like a snack in her yellow bikini that definitely gave many a sleepless night last night.

The mother one one who is currently in Naivasha with her ‘Somali guy’ and other social media personalities has not only shared the bikini photo but also videos having a good time at a certain Night club in Naivasha.

This was after Betty Kyallo opened up  about her daughter’s illness that saw her get admitted at an ICU ward back in April, 2019.

Judging from how Mercy (Betty’s sister) responded back at Ken Mijungu’s post, it was evident that things are not so good between between the ex couple.

News anchor Betty Kyallo has finally come out to respond to the negative comments and statements she has been receiving after posting her daughter’s story on her Instagram page.

In her post, the mother of one went on to narrate how her daughter suffered from a condition known as ADEM (acute disseminated encephalomyelitis) which affected baby Ivanna’s brain and spinal cord.

The media personality went on to add that her daughter was later admitted to the ICU but through it all she (Ivanna) walked out alive and continues to get better. Betty wrote;

As another year once again comes to an end I can’t help but reflect and look back as this year has been a special one; difficult and extremely challenging to me and my family. It took a lot of convincing for me to share what I am about to share due to its sensitivity and privacy in nature, however I feel I won’t have done my duty to thank God for not abandoning us If I decide to be silent about it. If at the end of this message I will give heart to someone going through the same challenge, anxiety, fear and Loneliness I’ll sleep better. Early this year my sweet lovely daughter Ivanna was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease. It was marked by a sudden widespread attack of inflammation in the Brain and spinal cord called ADEM (acute disseminated encephalomyelitis)
Basically this disease damages the protective coating of the nerve fibers called myelin that act as conducters to all muscles for basic human functionality. What this means is that one day my beautiful four year old daughter stopped walking, soon stopped talking, soon stopped eating soon was so drowsy couldn’t keep her eyes open and thereafter went into a deep coma that she had to be taken to ICU and put on life suppport for a whole month.  For the Larger part of her diagnosis doctors couldn’t even figure out what was wrong with her. We did numerous tests looking at every organ and blood but for a long time of hospitalization in Nairobi Hospital Children’s ward we couldn’t find it. All the while she kept deteriorating every day losing one function after another. Today she could talk the next day she couldn’t make a sentence. Etc. Thanks to God and the brilliant doctors that were so kind and gracious in their work and how they diligently treated my daughter especially Dr Ismail primary ICU pediatric carer for my daughter, the overall lead Neurologist carer Dr Oyatsi and ICU nurses, Ward doctors and nurses we finally found a name to what was eating her. Well as many know, Ken Mijungu who is best friends with Ivanna’s dad (Dennis Okari) came out to attack Betty Kyallo for not crediting her baby daddy who also happened to stand with them too.

Ken Mijungu’s post however rubbed the Kyallo’s family the wrong way forcing Betty’s sister to hit back with a long post where she told off the news anchor for meddling in her family’s affairs.

Anyway, looks like Betty Kyallo has also gone ahead to speak out her mind. In her latest post, the lady does not mention any names but judging from her post it’s easy to see that she was responding to the negative statements being shared by people on social media. She went on to write saying;

Having raised her daughter as a single parent, the news anchor has proven to go to lengths to ensure her baby girl Ivanna has everything she needs – but little did we know the reality of things back at their home.

The news anchor who has been raising her daughter as a single mum is an inspiration to many single mum who look up to her.

“I’m not dating anyone, there’s someone that I want to date but I don’t really think he wants to date me. I think I go for the wrong kind of guys. I think I go for bad boys and that’s not good. Swag successful, he needs to look good have a little bit of money he can’t be broke or if you’re broke, No you can’t be broke I’m sorry, I really am. I can’t. Although she is a pastors daughter, Victoria Kimani says that her parents still support her career; however many at times they prefer if she used her voice to serve God.

“I think my dad appreciates the music part of it as he is a musician, my mother definitely would prefer that I sing gospel music. It’s definitely their preference but honestly, my parents just want me to be successful more than anything. If I am successful, they are happy and even with the few successes I have had they post things on Facebook they are proud,”

Well, most women often change their body sizes after giving birth and Betty Kyallo happenes to be one.

Now that her daughter is all grown, the K24 anchor might have decided to join the gym. Thanks tonthe photos shared by her gym partner, it is clear to see that Miss Kyallo has added a few photos here and there but still looks amazing.

Seems that K24’s news anchor Betty Kyallo has since moved on after breaking up with Dennis Okari; and the popular governor she was linked to a while back.

This past weekend she went all out to share new photos from her getaway with her new man. Judging from the few photos and video clip she uploaded, we now believe that she is dating a Caucasian man.

This comes a few days after Dennis Okari wedded his new bride at a secret wedding. With the photos circulating on social media, some fans were quick to take pitty on Betty Kyallo; who later on came on to reveal that her life was just fine.

Kenyan rapper Jackson Makini Ngechu, popularly known as Prezzo, has lost the flare we all came to know him for in the early 2000s.

In those days, the self-proclaimed King of Bling was not only Kenya’s most sought-after musician but also a fashion role model to many.

Prezzo churned out hit after hit and won prestigious accolades. He soon became the envy of his peers and earned a legion of loyal fans across the continent.

He grabbed headlines with the slightest effort. However, he would go all out sometimes to live up to his status as a King.

Like that time in 2004 when he hired a helicopter from Wilson Airport to Carnivore to attend the Chaguo La Teeniez (CHAT) awards.

Or in 2015 when he pulled up at the same awards ceremony in a full stretch limousine and a presidential escort to boot.

Those are the days when Prezzo was really Él Presidenté. When he was known for making good music and pulling publicity stunts that we didn’t mind.

Somewhere along the way, the rain started beating him and as the popular saying goes, “When it rains, it pours.”

A messy divorce, firing in the air at a parking lot, drug abuse allegations, driving under the influence of alcohol, heavy debt, love triangles, links to Kamlesh Pattni of the Goldenberg scandal, you name it.

Soon enough, Prezzo was no longer the cool rapper we had come to respect and envy in equal measure. He was just the next door neighbour.

He landed an opportunity to represent Kenya at 7th edition of Big Brother Africa (BBA) and many of us thought that this opportunity would give him a boost to relaunch his career as a rapper.

When he came back, he released My City, My Town with Cannibal and we thought he had gotten his big break. However, his love for controversy got the best of him so much so that he joined a sub-standard reality TV show.

Prezzo released other songs during this period but they barely got airplay since his private life took center stage.

In 2016, he was invited to talk about his music in one of the local TV stations but instead, he went on to brag about his family’s wealth. To make matters worse, Prezzo, who was visibly drunk, made a pass at Betty Kyallo on live TV!

About a fortnight ago, a friend asked me whether I had listened to Prezzo’s latest single dubbed King and I thought to myself, “What King? Maybe he should just quit music now that he’s turning 40.”

Convinced that I will not die, I finally decided to watch the video on YouTube. I’m sorry if wasted your time reading this article, Prezzo is still the King. He is at the peak of his rap career believe you me.

Betty Kyallo held her last show on KTN on August 3rd 2018, it was a very emotional farewell for the anchor as she cried while bidding her fans goodbye.

Betty worked at KTN for almost a decade, she rose through the ranks over the years to become the face of KTN. Her show ‘Friday Briefing’ was one of the most exciting having introduced guest anchor for the first time on Kenyan TV.

The mother of one debuted on K24 after a four month hiatus, she anchored her first news at the Kijabe Street based TV station on December 8th 2018.

Why did she quit KTN?

Betty opened up about leaving KTN after 8 long years during a recent interview with Parents Magazine. The celebrated journalist was featured on the cover of Parents Magazine January edition.

She reveals that she left KTN for K24 because she felt that she had accomplished what she was meant to at the Mombasa road based TV station.

“I felt that I had accomplished what I was meant to at KTN. I had built a career and a name for myself. I had started a show format that was new in the Kenyan media scene when I ventured into the world of interactive news but after four and a half years of Friday Briefing, I needed something different and more challenging. It was a tough transition because I had not known any home apart from KTN, having grown from an intern to running my own show,” said Betty Kyallo.

A clip of Khaligraph Jones telling Betty Kyallo how he is going to bang her has sparked mixed reaction on social media. Radio Jambo presenter Massawe Japanni is among those who were offended by the clip.

The video shows Khaligraph serenading Betty with dirty lyrics from his lewd song ‘Stick’. The rapper talks about sex in the song, he raps about how he will bang a woman, talks about oral sex, sex at the airport, caressing, etc.

Betty was dancing as Khaligraph rapped about how he would bang her, she blushed a little bit as the rapper kept talking about the dirty things he would do.

Total nonsense

Radio Jambo presenter Massawe Japanni was totally irked by the clip, she called out Betty Kyallo for tolerating such kind of nonsense.

“How do I even back announce this song on-air???? Support Kenyan music activists leteni opinions na mawe.. @bettymuteikyallo what’s there to dance to? NON..NON..NONSENSE!!!” wrote Massawe Japanni.

She did it again! Betty Kyallo once again goes against baby daddy Dennis Okari’s wish

Last year, Dennis Okari took shots at his baby mama Betty Kyallo for poor parenting. The two clashed over how their daughter Ivanna should be raised.

Okari was not pleased with Betty for posting photos of their daughter online, he called out his ex wife for exposing their daughter Ivanna on social media.

“My daughter does not deserve the kind of publicity she has been getting, she deserves to grow up quietly and no one including myself as her father should interfere with her rights to privacy,” said Dennis Okari.

Clearly Betty doesn’t give a damn about what Dennis Okari wants for their daughter, the K24 anchor has paraded Ivanna on the January cover of Parents Magazine.

Betty Kyallo’s elder brother Brian Kyallo has opened up about being admitted to a rehabilitation center while he was reflecting on major events of the past year.

Brian reveals that he came out of the rehab only to be stressed out by the unfolding events, his sister’s scandals deeply affected him emotionally.

“I was in rehab. When I came out I was totally stressed out – broke, confused and a loner. Public spaces suffocated me. Social anxiety they call it. What’s worse, my baby sister was attracting scandals like a cosmic magnet ?. So even small interactions with random people would always end in that shit storm of gossip & rumors. Felt blekhh ?.. I digress,” wrote Brian Kyallo in part.

Brian also opened up about falling in love after rehab, he narrated how his new relationship started off on a bad note just two days after hookup.

“So this was actually supposed to be the first time I went out on a date, date. It was a struggle. I think she suspected the Msaf just wanted to smash. Personally, I was open to that ? but I also badly needed a ‘presentable’ friend with a sense of humor in my life. ? You know, mtoto mzuri”

Betty Kyallo has all the reasons to smile after her salon Flair by Betty won a prestigious award beating other well established beauty parlor in the country.

A handful of top female celebrities have opened beauty parlors as their side hustle, the like of Wahu (Afro Siri), DJ Creme’s wife Denise King’ang’i (Surabhi Spa), Susan Kaittany (Posh Palace) and Vera Sidika (Vera Sidika Beauty Parlour).

Betty’s 8 months old salon Flair by Betty has been ranked first in terms of luxury. The K24 anchor opened her own beauty parlor in April this year after a conflict with former BFF Susan Kaittany.

Betty took to social media to celebrate after Flair by Betty won best Luxurious salon in the country at the  Pwani Week Fashion Week Awards.

Betty Kyallo finally back on TV close to four months after quitting KTN

Betty Kyallo quit KTN on a Friday night August 3rd 2018, she was overwhelmed by emotions that she actually shed tears on a live broadcast during her last show on KTN.

Almost four months have passed since Betty was last seen on air anchoring news, she left KTN to join K24 where is yet to anchor news.

Betty Kyallo has been rehearsing for her first day on air on K24, she will be unveiled officially to the K24 audience in a few days time.

Betty took to Instagram and shared a poster of her news show dubbed ‘Weekend With Betty’ and revealed how grateful she was for the warm reception at K24.

“Finally! I’ve missed you. ? Thank you @k24tv for a warm welcome,” wrote Betty Kyallo.

She however did not reveal the exact date she will make her debut on K24, but you can tell it could be from Friday November 30th onward.

In a separate photo, Betty was also seen chilling at K24 studio with her kid sister Gloria Kyallo.

In another post, Betty jokes about falling in love with Harmonize and moving to Dar es Salaam with him. One fan however cautions her against making such joke saying Sarah won’t take it lightly.

“Ngoja wife wake akupate.and shes pregnant,” Mary Metito warned Betty Kyallo.

Betty however dismisses Mary’s warning and assures her she is not afraid of Sarah.

Betty Kyallo opens up about Dennis Okari being a deadbeat dad

Betty Kyallo and Dennis Okari still have beef three years after their breakup. The two went their separate ways after their dramatic breakup just six months after their wedding which was held on 2nd October 2015.

The public first learnt that Okari and Betty are no co-parenting in July 2018. Drama started when Okari called out Betty for exposing their daughter Ivanna on social media.

“My daughter does not deserve the kind of publicity she has been getting, she deserves to grow up quietly and no one including myself as her father should interfere with her rights to privacy,” said Dennis Okari.

And Betty responded, she took a subliminal shot at her baby daddy after he complained about their daughter being exposed on social media.

Betty Kyallo has now openly announced that Okari is a deadbeat dad. The mother of one revealed that she was all that her daughter had while replying to a fan who was narrating how he was raising his children as a single parent.

“I have a son age 4 and a daughter age 2, their mother run away and as a father I took full responsibility to make sure my kids are growing up in a good environment and every day when I wake up I look at them, kiss them and I get motivated and the urge to hustle more so that they won’t feel the absence of their mum,” the fan wrote.

To which Betty responded;

“I love this. Much love for you and your kids. I resonate with you because I’m all my daughter has.”
