Eric Omondi asserts that he did not intentionally expose his manhood to prying eyes. The comedian further reveals why he didn’t pull down the photo.

Eric caused a stir while he was on holiday in Malindi with his sweetheart Chantal Grazioli. His private part became the talk of the nation after it was seen through a short he was wearing in a photo posted on social media.

Well, apparently Eric didn’t expose his ‘transformer’ intentionally. He says that he learnt something was amiss after he got several notifications on IG on his post.

“No, it was not intentional. I had innocently posted the picture and four minutes after it went online, I noticed that I was receiving a lot of comments on it. I logged in to check the Instagram users’ feedback. It is then that I realised that a part of my manhood was showing through my pair of shorts,” said Eric Omondi in an interview with SDE.

Couldn’t reverse the damage

Eric says he wanted to delete the photo but he realized he couldn’t undo the damage. He opted to leave the photo on his timeline because it was making people laugh.

“For a moment, I was confused on what to do. I contemplated deleting the picture, but on second thought, I decided it remains on the platform. I cannot correct God’s work.

“The most private part of my body are my bones, and the whole world knows about my skinniness. I choose to overlook what online users are saying on Instagram about the controversial picture. I am a comedian; my work is to make people laugh. So long as my actions make them laugh, I am happy.”

Eric Omondi set tongues wagging after he intentionally/unintentionally exposed his manhood. The comedian was enjoying holiday at the coast when ‘his things fell apart’.

Eric flew his sweetheart Chantal Grazioli to the coast days after she jetted back to the country. The comedian’s girlfriend had been away in Italy for five long months.

As usual Eric took to social media to show his fans how his girlfriend and him were enjoying themselves at the Coast. The comedian however showed too much in one of the photos he shared.

Eric’s manhood was clearly seen idling in a yellow short he was wearing in one of the photos he shared. The photo has since gone viral on social media.

Eric Omondi is among a few celebs who own rental apartments. The comedian is constructing a new apartment block in his parcel of land in Kisumu city.

Eric reveals that he was inspired to be a landlord after being evicted from his rental house in Nairobi West. The comedian says he was kicked out by a caretaker after defaulting on rent for five months.

He explains that he was famous and at the same time very broke. Eric’s household items were auctioned after failing to pay the rent.

“Sometime in September of 2010 while living in Nairobi West my house was locked and all my stuff auctioned… I had a 5 month rent arrear… This was during the break between season one of Churchill Live and Season two… I was as famous as I was broke… On that fateful day my neighbours watched in owe as two pick ups carried away my things and as the Caretaker “politely” asked me to step out of the house so he could lock the door… All these happened at midday… AS I walked out of the compound totally dejected…I remember saying to God “You are my LORD make me LandLord one day” Here we are today. Whatever you are going through today do not be dismayed… It could be God setting you up for your greatest moment,” Eric Omondi narrated.

Eric shared a video of his project in Kisumu county. The comedian has constructed an apartment block on his parcel of land.

Eric is also putting up a new apartment building on the same piece of land. The comedian says the new block will be identical to the older apartment.

Eric Omondi has opened up about his journey in comedy, from the days when he used to earn peanuts, worst moment ever and why he’s doing parody music video.

Talks of comedians being paid poorly are not new, Eric Omondi stated that humorists used to be paid in food when he was starting, but affirmed that currently the pay was way better.

Speaking to Word Is, Eric said that parents needed to encourage their kids to get into comedy since the future for aspiring comedians was very bright.

“The comedy industry is going good places. When I started doing comedy, we were being paid with food. Now, it’s paying. Parents need to encourage their kids. Comedy is paying and the future is very bright,” said Eric.

The comedian also opened up about worst experience in comedy, he revealed that his dry jokes failed to impress an audience in Malindi despite trying for two hours to make them laugh.

“My worst show was in Malindi, they had never heard of me and a local TV was launching its mast. It was the first time people there were seeing me. I went there and I was late. I took the mic and I was like ‘Hawayunii’. For two hours nobody laughed. I will never forget that day,” Eric recounted.

About his parody music video, Eric confessed that ‘How To Be Akothee’ and ‘Saratina’ were the best parody music videos he has ever done.

“Mtu akifanya parody yako inamaanisha hiyo ngoma yako ni noma,” he said, “Na bado itapeleka attraction kwa ngoma yako. My best parody was ‘How To Be Akothee and Saratina’.”
