Eric Omondi: Am waiting for court verdict to issue comment on Jacque Maribe

Eric Omondi and Jacque Maribe dated years ago before they broke up sometimes in February 2015. Jacque indirectly announced the breakup when she was seen publicly exchanging saliva with Dennis Itumbi.

The comedian is also rumored to be the one who fathered Jacque’s son Zahari. He further fueled the speculations when he posted a photo of  Maribe’s son on his instagram account on October 9th.

Eric however remains tight-lipped on Jacque Maribe’s case. The Citizen TV anchor was slapped with murder charge over her involvement in the brutal killing of Monica Kimani.

Maribe and her fiancé Joseph Irungu alias Jowie will today Tuesday 30th October know whether they will be released on bond or not.

Speaking during an interview with the Nairobian, Eric explained that he has not commented on Jacque’s case or shown up in court to show her support because he is waiting for the final court verdict to comment on the matter.

“When this Jacque Maribe affair ends, I will give you an interview for this particular story,” said Eric Omondi.

Eric Omondi and Chantal Grazioli wedding has been long time coming. The comedian has finally announced his wedding plans.

Eric started dating Chantal in early 2015 after his relationship with Jacque Maribe hit rock bottom. Chantel moved from Italy and settled in Kenya in September 2015 so she could be with Eric.

The comedian propose to Chantal on February 14th 2016. He flew his Kenyan Italian sweetheart to a Valentine’s Day getaway at the Coast where he popped the big question.

Eric has finally revealed plans to marry Chantal two years after proposing to her. Speaking during an interview with Mzazi Willy M Tuva on Citizen Radio, Eric disclosed that he will walk down the aisle with Chantal in September 2019.

“I know we have dated for long and time is ripe for me to put on that ring and very soon, though it will not be this year rest assured September, 2019 we shall have exchanged vows. I have consulted from both sides and Chantal’s mother is a great friend of mine,” said Eric Omondi.

Dennis Itumbi has come out to defend Eric Omondi after he was severely criticized over a post on Jacque Maribe. Both Eric and Itumbi have a ‘strong connection’ to Maribe.

Eric caused a stir when he posted a photo of Jacque Maribe’s son on IG on October 9th. The comedian is rumored to be the father of Jacque’s son.

Critics fired at Eric for failing to acknowledge that he is the kid’s father and for failing to stand with his baby mama in her hour of need.

Speaking during an interview with Word Is, Itumbi said that Eric was only expressing his friendship to Jacque just like him and many others.

“Eric Omondi is an adult and what people say on social media cannot change his friendship with anyone. If he has expressed his friendship towards Jacque Maribe just like me and many others, it doesn’t matter what you write on social media, we will continue being friends. I cannot comment on whether he is the baby daddy or not, but I’m sure Jacque at the appropriate time will address the issue,” said Dennis Itumbi.

Eric Omondi has taken to social media to rightfully boast about his achievement, the Kenyan comedian has achieved a rare feat that calls for a toss.

Eric took to social media to celebrate 1.4 million followers on Instagram, he says that he is now the most followed Kenyan on Instagram.

“Women will lie, Men will lie, but Numbers will NEVER lie… Officially the most followed Person in Kenya and Uganda(Zari ni Wa Tanzania?) . Kila mtu angenitumia Shillingi moja moja hapa ningekua na Millioni moja nukta nne?????? Sasa naeza kuwafunza jinsi mtakavyo wafikisha wapenzi wenu kileleni mkitumia kucha,?” wrote Eric Omondi.

What about Lupita?

Eric claim that he is the most followed Kenyan on IG is not entirely true, Lupita Nyong’o has 6 million followers on Instagram. Other Kenyans with over 1 million followers on IG include Sauti Sol (1.1m followers) and Huddah Monroe (1.3m followers).

Note that Kenyans are not so active on Instagram like Tanzanians, this explains why all Bongo A-list celebrities have more than 3 million followers on IG.

For years there have been rumors that Eric Omondi is the one who fathered Jacque’s son Zahari. A little bird told Nairobian that the comedian comedian has been footing child support bills for the Zahari since 2014.

According to the Nairobian tabloid, Eric and Jacque decided not to publicly speak about the paternity of Zahari for their own interests.

“Her baby daddy is Eric Omondi but he bailed out on her and this profoundly affected her,” a source told the daily.

Not the right time

Eric Omondi however denied fathering Jacque’s son when he was contacted about the paternity of Zahari. The comedian revealed that he knew the kid’s father but wouldn’t want to reveal who he is because the timing is bad owing to the fact that Jacque is currently facing criminal charges over her involvement in the murder of Monica Kimani.

It’s the darkest month of 2018! Eric Omondi’s family buries another kin

Eric Omondi lost his elder brother Joseph Omondi a week on Tuesday after a long battle with drugs. The comedian had only found his brother a day before he passed on.

Eric traced his late brother in downtown Nairobi along Nyandarua Road through the help of a taxi driver and posted the video of the incident on his social media platforms.

He revealed that Joseph had been doing drugs for close to two decades. Joseph was finally buried on June 22nd in Ugenya, Siaya County.

Double tragedy

Eric’s family lost another kin at the same time Joseph died. The comedian’s sister Irene Omondi revealed that their cousin Kenedy Otieno Ndenga was also buried at the same time their brother was buried.

“This month is one of the Darkest month of my 2018. Having 2 funerals at the same time . R.I.P Our Headboy Joseph Onyango Omondi and my Cousin Kenedy Otieno Ndenga ?,” wrote Irene on social media.

Eric Omondi is mourning the death of his elder brother Joseph Onyango Omondi. The comedian had only introduced his brother the the public a few hours before he passed on.

Eric took to Instagram to address the drug menace that has been destroying the youths, sharing a clip of his blood bother who has been crippled by the substances.

Cocaine addict

Eric says his brother was addicted to hard drugs including cocaine. The comedian further reveals that the deceased had been in and out of rehab for the past 19 years.

Comedian Eric Omondi and his fiancee Chantal Grazioli have once again set tongues wagging after they showed off a palatial mansion.

Eric Omondi is among a few Kenyan celebs who own property. The comedian has constructed two rental apartment blocks in his parcel of land in Kisumu city.

Heavy downpour wrecked havoc in Athi River on Thursday March 15th. Massive water flooded several houses in a gated community where Jaguar and Eric Omondi stay.

Mto wa Mawe River burst its banks after heavy rains on Thursday rendering part of Mombasa Road impassable. The Nairobi-Mombasa highway was closed at Athi River after a bridge was submerged in the water following the heavy rains.

Green Park Estate

The perimeter wall of Green Park Estate in Athi River was destroyed by the flood water. Jaguar an Eric Omondi live in the upmarket estate.

Several houses at the Green Park estate which is just along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway were flooded. Photos of the estate after the flash flood reveal the massive water quantity that ran through residents’ houses.

Njoki Chege says those criticizing Eric Omondi over his video are people whose minds are in the gutter. She states that critics chose to sexualize the comedian’s video.

Video of Eric Omondi swimming naked with children in Turkana sparked condemnation from all quarters. However a few have stood firm to defend the comedian.

Njoki Chege says Eric ought not to have apologized to anyone. She explains that the comedian was just exploring his creativity.

“Eric, I have news for you. You did not have to apologise. I am going to be one of the people who will say this, the comedian did nothing wrong. Let us first get a few facts right before I can make my argument. Eric is a great young man, with a fine, creative head on his shoulders. He is, by any standards, a successful man, one of the few Kenyan comedians who are actually funny. He is creative, ever churning well-thought out and brilliantly executed comedy videos,” wrote Njoki Chege.

Njoki further says that those throwing shades at Eric are only doing so blindly. She explains that Eric’s video was an effort to parody a scene from ‘The God’s Must Be Crazy’ movie.

“Those criticising him are mostly people whose minds are in the gutter, whose hearts are so carnal, that they sexualise everything and anything without considering the context. Omondi’s video was an effort to parody a scene from the film The God’s Must Be Crazy. His video is also reminiscent of the good old days when naughty boys would toss their clothes in the bush and jump in the river for a quick dip and their cheeky friends would hide their clothes. Omondi just wanted to recreate the village life and a movie scene with an underlying theme of celebrating our African culture. He wanted to tickle us, because that is what comedians do. They strive to make us laugh, and that is perhaps one of the toughest jobs on earth.”

 

 

 

“I counseled him as a father” Ezekiel Mutua reveals what he discussed with Eric Omondi before he left for US

Ezekiel Mutua is now mentoring Eric Omondi following his distasteful video. The moral police reveals that he had a lengthy conversation with Eric before he left for US.

The Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) CEO implored parents to sue Eric Omondi the moment his video surfaced online. Eric was seen bathing completely naked with Turkana kids in a river.

Mutua says he had a lengthy telephone conversation with Eric over his video. He claims that the comedian accepted the penalties meted by the KFCB for the inappropriate video.

“Just before I left Nairobi on Thursday evening I had a lengthy telephone conversation with Eric Omondi over his error of judgement in the nude video with kids. He offered what I believe to be a sincere apology and committed to accept the penalties meted by the KFCB for the inappropriate video, even though he denies that he is the one who posted it online. Eric returned to Nairobi from Turkana on Thursday to have a meeting with me following the outrage caused by the video, but I was travelling out of the country and the meeting could not materialise. We agreed to meet when I return,” wrote Ezekiel Mutua in part.

Mutua also reveals that he counseled Eric Omondi as a father. The moral cops says that he is committed to mentoring Eric to create clean content.

“Now Eric is a gifted comedian and has been an inspiration to many upcoming stand-up comedians and creatives in general, but that video was a costly mistake. I counselled him as a father would his son and advised him to detest from such misguided notion that obscenity is the way to seek fame. We agreed to meet when I return to Kenya and resolve the matter without having to charge him in court. In fact he offered to work with us to create awareness about content regulations and sensitise his fellow artistes on the law. To err is human. Eric should know that God raised him from the gutter to international fame. He should use his talent to promote good in society. We are willing to help him get back on track. While I detest what Eric did, I forgive him at a personal level and commit to guide the mediation process and mentor him to create clean content. Content doesn’t have to be dirty to sell and Eric and other talented artistes should be role models and champions of moral values.”

Eric Omondi sparked uproar when a video of him completely naked with children surfaced online. The comedian was seen bathing with Turkana kids in a river.

Many people blame Eric Omondi but in Luo tradition there is nothing wrong with what he did. People of the same sex in Luo Nyanza bath together in rivers and lakes.

The only wrong thing Eric did was recording himself bathing with the kids and sharing the video online. The comedian has since eaten the humble pie.

Eric responded to Nyakundi’s tweet assuring him that he will NEVER lack. The comedian states that he will be a blessing to his generation.

Most celebrities put on weight after getting that money and fame. But the story is different for Eric Omondi, he is still gracefully thin even after making it big.

Larry Madowo and Eric Omondi used to rub shoulders before both of them made it big. Surprisingly Larry used to be thinner than Eric Omondi back then when they were still seeking a breakthrough.

As the world marks Valentine’s Day today; the comedian has shareda new photo showing off the BMW he just gifted his lady. Just like the billboard, the car’s number plate area is written “Happy Valentine Chantal.”

Comedian Eric Omondi is the son in law many parents dream of having. Apart from treating his fiancé the best way possible, the comedian recently took his In-laws to the Masai Mara where they spent      a few days admiring the wild life.

From the photos shared on his social media, seems that this trip was aimed at giving his parents in law a memorable vacation.
