Churchill, MC Jessy among others to perform alongside top African comedians, now this is a big deal!

The second edition of Churchill’s initiative under Laugh Industry – The Laugh Festival will be taking place in Nairobi, Kenya next Monday 11th December 2017 at the KICC Comesa Grounds from 6 p.m.

The event will once again feature Africa’s top Comedians including Nigeria’s funniest man Basket Mouth alongside our very own Churchill and Churchill Show comedians: MC Jessy, Dr Ofweneke, Prof. Hamo, Obinna, Sleepy, Jasper, Aman and Emmanuel.

List of performers

East Africa’s comedy cocktail will include first timers: Uganda’s original pioneer female stand up comedian Cotilda Inapo and MC Pili Pili from Tanzania, who will be joined by Kenyan bonafide stars: Jalang’o and Teacher Wanjiku. Uganda’s beloved comedian: Salvado and Rwanda’s Nkusi Arthur will also be returning on the festival for a second time this year.

Initiated last year, Laugh festival has established itself as a platform showcasing the best of African comedy, and comedians while presenting a Kenyan audience with world-class entertainment right at KICC – one of Kenya’s most iconic venues.

Betty Kyallo has now joined the list of female media personalities who can dance. After Kanze Dena’s dancing video went viral, last night Betty Kyallo chose to show off her moves on stage while performing with Njugush.

The TV girl surprised many as she pulled the Odi dance leaving the crowd excited as they cheered for more. Judging from her Instagram video, we can all agree that she tried even though Njugush was way ahead moving like a professional!

Singer Bahati and his wife has every reason to be excited about 2018. If anything, they can’t wait for year to end since they baby is set to be born in 3 months time.

The actual due month was however leaked by a close friend of the couple. Speaking to Pulse, the source confirmed that Diana Marya’s baby will be here in March.

Kifesi who is Diamond Platnumz official photographer knows nothing about chills. In the past he has indirectly revealed a few things about his boss making him the talk in town.

So far I understand that he cannot be fired (maybe) because he has too much dirt on Diamond Platnumz. For this reason he gets away with posts that clearly indicate he is firing shots at Baba Tiffah.

Well, in his latest post dedicated to Nillan the photographer urges the baby not to be greedy. He goes on to urge the child to grow up into an honest God fearing man who will not let power get into his head. He wrote saying;

After word had it that DJ Mo and DJ Pierra Makena’s looked alike, many thought that the two were related. The rumors forced the gospel DJ to speak on the issue since many were convinced that he had fathered the little girl.

Well, speaking to Comedian Dr Ofweneke on his show aired on Ebru TV, DJ Mo came out clean saying that he was just friends with Pierra and nothing much.

The unknown fella was recently discovered on social media after several of his photos went viral. According to most news outlets, his identity is yet to be discovered but one thing is for sure, he deserves to be given the Slay King award. That is if there is any.

Tanzanian controversial artist Shilole is now a married woman for the 2nd time. The lady and her young boyfriend exchanged their vows last night at a low key event attended by family only.

According to Shilawadu, Shilole kept the wedding details private until last night when a reliable source leaked the information. The only invited Paparazzi was Dizzim online, who are the current growing insiders in the Tanzanian entertainment industry.

Just recently I bumped into a few photos of her younger sister that will leave team mafisi drooling. She goes by the name of CK or Nyasego and likes to keep a low profile.

Diamond Platnumz clearly has no respect for women. This is according to the comments left under a photo he posted celebrating his son’s 1st birthday.

The Tanzanian singer urged his son to grow up and use women as he wishes since he is handsome. He went on to tell him that money will not be an issue for him, since he (Diamond) is working hard to ensure his son never lacks.

Diamond Platnumz family seems to be on a roll! After his recent stunts the singers mum now wants to join in by giving birth to her last child now that she has finally found love.

The news about her new thoughts on having a baby was shared by Dizzim online who currently spoke to her. For the very first time Mama Dangote aka Bi Sandra revealed that she has a man in her life and in fact the two are married. She said,

“I’m married.”

Dizzim online however kept on pushing to get more details about the fella. When asked about their age difference, Bi Sandra responded saying;

“Nimeolewa…Ana udongo gani? angekua mdogo singeona. Ni mkubwa. (He is not young, if he was young, I’d have not married him.)”

About adding another child to her family

Well, now that her children have all settled down, Bi Sandra thinks she should add another one. Sandra told the bloggers to be patient and wait as she will soon be announcing about her last born with her new hubby.

Francis Gachuri, a politics reporter from Citizen TV is mourning the 4th time this year. The popular reporter made the announcement through his social media pages shortly after losing his aunt, Nancy Ngonyo Kamundi.

According to the reporter, his Aunty passed on in a road accident making her the 4th family member to leave them in 2017. He wrote saying;

“Our family mourns for the 4th time since May 2017. Another road accident. Another precious life lost. Rest well auntie Nancy Ngonyo Kamundi. We mourn you.”

Close friends and relatives have joined in through comments to send their condolences to Francis and his family during this trying time.

Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz life is like a novel based on romance, love, deceit and betrayal.

So far we understand that he has dated most of the females in the Tanzanian entertainment industry. However he only got to attached to Wema Sepetu and Penny as he enjoys mentioning them in his songs.

About 2 weeks ago he dropped a new song dubbed Sikomi trolling his exes and baby mamas. In the song he particularly hard on Penny for having aborted his child even ‘bribing’ her with a car. In the lyrics, Diamond narrates saying;

“Aah, acha Penny wa hidari nilimuhonga gari aliponiambia ana mimba mwisho wa siku akaichomoa gari”

Vince Dancer aka Vincent Omondi is reportedly to have passed on. According to a Facebook post, his body was found lying lifeless in Eastleigh before it was taken to the morgue.

One of his ‘friend’s’ posted the sad news on social media eulogizing the 28 year old saying:

“Rest in Peace Vince

I have just received the sad news of the death of Vince Jawagoro. (His lifeless body was found at Eastleigh today) For those who don’t know him, he is the street boy who was kind enough to return 200k to a stranger who had dropped the same in town on her way to the bank.


I met Vince on 25th October at an electronics repair shop along Jamia shopping mall. (That is where the photo was taken) He had come to remind the shop owner of his promise to give him a job. He was also very hungry.

He explained to us his journey through rehab and how Kenyans who had promised to assist him and get him jobs after rehab failed to keep their promises. He was even featured on TV shows when the story trended online. He was living at Basilica church at the time. The church had accommodation arrangements for street kids.

Sadly, The men in the shop refused to buy him food claiming that he would resort to buying glue instead… I gave him some cash I had with me. The shop owner also asked him to sober up and go back after elections for a job interview.

Jawagongo was a graduate of St. Pauls University, a brilliant young man whose life simply got cut short due to drug addiction brought on by life’s frustrations,”

His kindness opened a door for him to go to rehab and even got promises of getting good jobs after recovering. Man and wife charged with torture after 14 needles are found inside their 10 month old daughter’s behind

The case of Jacinta Ndung’e and her husband Isaac Wanyoike’s daughter has left many Kenyans shocked. This is after a scan was done on their 10 month old child only to discover 14 sewing needles inserted in her body from the back.

The couple was however arrested on 4th November and arraigned in court on 5th November. According to the judge the couple was found guilty of touring their child according to the doctor’s reports.

Speaking to journalists before his arrest, Isaac Wanyoike defended himself saying that he would never expose his child to such inhumane treatment. He said;

“The baby is mine. I cannot inflict such harm on my own child. I was equally shocked when they found the needles in her body and I cannot explain how they ended up there,”

Doctors at Thika Level Five Hospital are however convinced that this was done on purpose. From the reports making rounds, 14 needles were found inside the baby’s behind.

Together with her team at Thika Children’s Hospital, Rebecca Kariuki who is incharge of the toddler. This is until they find out the truth about the needles inside the baby.

While Jacinta and her husband remain in custody, their children are reportedly staying at Macheo Children’s Home.

All grown up Grace Msalame’s daughters looking more like her now

Motherhood must be beautiful. For this reason we have seen quite a number of celebrities welcome their own children in the past few years. One of the most loved celebrity mothers is Grace Msalame who welcomed a pair of twins 6 years ago.

Just like any other mother, Grace Msalame describes her double blessing as the best thing that ever happened to her. She appreciates the fact that she has managed to raise her girls even after splitting with their dad, Paul Ndichu.

Anyway, now that they are turning into beautiful young women it is clear to see that they look like their mum. In a recent photo shared by Grace Msalame, she also acknowledges that her daughter’s (Zawadi and Raha) took after her. She wrote saying;

Size 8 responds after Kenyans called her out for her ‘pathetic performance’ at President Uhuru’s inauguration

It must be hard being an artist. In fact I think it takes guts! This is why the likes of Size 8, Nyashinski among others carry on with their lives even after being called out by fans.

A few weeks ago gospel singer Size 8 was trolled following her performance at President Uhuru’s inauguration. According to her fans they termed Size 8’s performance as pathetic with a lot of unnecessary shouting’s.

From the comments left under her photos at the event, it was clear to see how rude her fans were. However responding to the critics, Size 8 revealed that she was actually happy. The critics made her trend hence helping build her brand. Speaking to Dr Ofweneke she said;

“I just love the fact I can be somewhere and people talk about me.I love that because every artiste wants that. Meaning that the favour of God is upon me and first of all I want to thank God for giving me such an opportunity where I am news. Cause there are many artistes who would want to be somewhere but they are irrelevant, it’s like nobody notices. So for me I was shocked because I wasn’t the only artiste who was there so why would people talk about me? First of all, I took a minute and told God ‘Thank you God for giving me such favour that people would talk about me.”

Adding;

“Use that opportunity to build your brand.”

Size 8 explains why her performance was cut short

According to size 8, her second performance was unplanned for. The MC took her by surprise after asking her to charge the crowd since the program had delayed. She said;

“What trended was my second performance. I was told to go back (on stage) since there was time, I was told ‘Go charge the crowd’ as the program had delayed. I went and I charged up the crowd and I was excited and it was amazing. I loved the fact that the audience was charged up and happy in Christ Jesus. I found it weird that it trended people don’t understand that I performed twice. ”
