The lovely Joyce Maina recently confirmed that she is no longer dating Switch TV’s sports presenter Tony Kwalanda who doubled up as a her fiancé.

The lady revealed this during a QnA post on her IG where she confirmed rumors claiming that her relationship with the handsome, dark and tall fella was now over. Not quite sure what led to their break up – but chances are that the two may have realized that they were not as compatible as they thought. It happens.

Anyway with the break up story making rounds on most tabloids; Tony Kwalanda on the other hand decided to respond using his IG stories.

The media industry mourns the death of Lorna Irungu Macharia – a beautiful soul from both in and out. Those who knew her say she had a golden personality; and one thing they will miss about Lorna is her bubbly character and genuine smile.

However the lady succumbed to Covid 19 on Monday, 22 March following a few complications caused by other underlying issues as revealed.

According to reports, the late Lorna had been battling kidney complicatons and lupus for years; but sadly rested on Monday after putting up a good fight.

As seen on social media, many are still in denial with the untimely death of their colleague and friend. So far most have sent messages of condolences to the Macharia’s family as they will indeed miss the bubbly soul who brought nothing but joy in their lives.

Her burial will however take place immediately following the strict instructions given by the ministry of health ordering all victims to be buried with 72 hours after death. In a detailed post, the Macharia family went on to say;

The Macharia Family are sad to announce the passing of Lorna Irungu Macharia on 22nd March 2021. Lorna was the loving wife to Edwin Macharia and mother to Nancy Mumbi. She passed on at the Karen Hospital while undergoing treatment for Covid-19.
Lorna’s interment will be on 23rd March 2021 in a private family function.

We can’t possibly say we know how the family feels; but all in all we continue to stand with Lorna’s family as they go through this hard chapter of life. In conclusion the post read;

The family knows that Lorna is deeply loved by many and asks for continued prayers and request for privacy during this difficult time but also informs that a public virtual celebration of her life will be organized and details be communicated shortly. We loved you Lorna but the Lord loved you more”

Hamisa Mobetto’s heart must have been racing faster than a sports car moments after coming across photos of her first baby daddy, Majizzo; hanging out with her second baby daddy, Diamond Platnumz.

Judging from the photos shared on social media; we understand that the two media gurus met during the late Tanzanian president’s Magufuli’s requiem mass held this past weekend.

From the photos, the two men appear to be talking and unlike what was reporter earlier; clearly there is no beef between these two. In fact, according to gossip monger Juma Lokole – his boss Diamond Platnumz and Majizzo are actually very good friends.

Sexy songbird Dom Mwangemi, who goes by the mononym Dom, needs no introduction. She has been around for as long as I can remember entertaining fans with her melodic voice.

The sultry songstress, who is famed for hit like Chupa, Come We Stay and Chilli Sauce, made her entry into the entertainment industry through East African rap battles and cyphers in the Kenyan underground Hip-hop scene back in 2013.

Since then, Dom –as she is popularly known – has continued to make a mark in the local music industry. From doing collaborations with industry Kenyan music heavyweights to renowned producers, she has done it all.

If you are keen, like I am, I’m sure you noticed that she has been missing from the music scene for some time now and believe you me, there is a good reason for that.

In an interview with Ghafla, Dom explained that she decided to take a step back from the and went back to basics to really study the industry and understand the music business.

Perhaps you have not noticed, but she is now back with a bang. A few days ago, Dom made a grand comeback in the local music scene with her EP dubbed Just A Girl.

The EP, which has been received well by her fans, has a unique sound, which she calls Afrotone. Basically, basically a blend of Afro sound and Gengetone (the raw local sound in the streets of Nairobi.)

It has been 18 years since Singer E sir passed on following a grisly accident that took place at the great Rift Valley. His death however came as a big shock to those who knew him, fans; and of course the Kenyan Entertainment industry which lost a super star.

Despite the untimely death, E sir’s memory remains fresh among Kenyans who loved and adored his music. With an album like Nimefika – we are yet to see an OG who can out do E sir’s work; but truth is, they don’t make them like they used to back in the day.

Manzi wa Nairobi is currently living in poverty now that Wife Material is no longer airing; following instructions given out by the Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB).

With the show cancelled, Manzi wa Nairobi was forced to move back to Kibera; where she was living and hustling at the same time. However having taken a small business ‘break’ to concentrate on Wife Material – Manzi wa Nairobi says she has nothing to live on since she has no income.

Depressed and broken

Speaking to one Mungai Eve, the young Manzi wa Nairobi confessed that she had not eaten for the past 4 days due to depression; caused by the sudden cancellation of Wife Material.

Speaking during the interview, the lady went on to mention that her future hopes were on Eric Omondi’s show; as she hoped to get a few deals here and there from big brands – but this did not come to be.

They say a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. And after years of drowning in alcohol to a point of no return; we have learnt that the president’s look alike – Uhunye wa Umo has agreed to check himself into a rehab.

This was revealed by independent presenter Carolina Carlz; who had been following up on Mr Gitonga Michael’s story since he started making headlines.

In a detailed interview shared by Ms Carolina Carlz, we understand that Mr Gitonga’s struggle with alcohol has not only affected him alone; but his entire family – adding that he car he was gifted just a few months ago is in a bad shape due to his recklessness.

However just like other alcoholics – Mr Gitonga couldn’t have done this on his own; without being pushed for the better.

This is where Serenity rehab came in handy as they allowed – Uhunye wa Umo to check into their habilitation center earlier today. From Carlz post, we understand that Uhunye was accompanied by his wife Angelica and friend, Matheri.

Ringtone has been insulting many celebrities for the last few months; and in starting to believe that this is the only way he gets to make headlines – especially now that he has no new project to push on social media.

In a post shared on his page on Tuesday, 16th March the controversial gospel singer is seen insulting rapper Bamboo; a renowned artist from back in the day – but is now a preacher.

Ringtone’s insults however came hours after Bamboo’s candid interview with Mseto East Africa; where he opened up about his wife being a witch who died and came back to life. If you are into good music, then you should definitely check out a Kenyan-reggae/dancehall artist by the name Mic Syndykate because he is really talented.

The musician, whose real name is Michael Harun Mugenya, relocated to Dubai after a short stint in the Kenyan music industry.
Before he changed his base to the Middle East, Mic Syndykate has released a couple of songs namely: Sensual Gal, Ghetto Gospel, Ride It and Act under renowned producer MakavellyThaRealest of Telaviv Records.

Mic Syndykate developed interest in music from a very young age. In an interview with Ghafla, he revealed that he would freestyle for his friends while he was in school and they really admired his musical prowess.

Kenyatta University Alumni

The 28-year-old musician, who is an alumni of Kenyatta University School of Law, went on to add that he is indebted to his brother musicality is largely indebted to his immediate elder brother MakavellyThaRealest who doubles up as his producer.

The two, jointly run a record label named Telaviv Records in Nairobi for which Mic SyndyKate is the pioneer artist.
His brother’s inspiration included teaching him the art of listening to some popular music greats including 50 Cent and Jay Z.
Mic Syndykate draws inspiration from reggae greats including Damien Marley, Mavado, Vybz Kartel, Bounty Killer, Beenie Man and Aidonia.

He began writing his own lyrics and performing at high school funkies in Nairobi, captivating a lot of attention. After high school he joined KU Law School and started working more silently on music with the guidance of his producer.

Gyal hit maker

In 2015, he made his debut with reggae single Sensual Gal which resonated well with the lovers of the music. He has since released three other songs between the years 2015 and 2017 and took a hiatus then to pursue personal interests.

As a real lover of the game and culture, he is back with a new single and style that is sure to shake the scene and make him a force to consider as far as international level Kenyan Reggae/Dancehall is concerned.

Prophet Lovy Longomba’s surprising confession about his twin brother’s death

The death of Christian Longomba came as a big blow to those who knew him; and of course his peers in Kenya who saw him – raise in the entertainment industry through his music.

Truth is, Christian was a gifted man who sang beautifully leaving many fans cramming his lyrics; and till date the Longomba music long lives in most nightclubs and we love it.

Any speaking about his twin brother’s demise – prophet Lovy Longomba says that he believes his brother is now resting in peace. This is after a long battle with a brain tumor (none cancerous) that saw his health deteriorate over the years.

My brother fought for a long time. Sometimes to know things prophetically, is not always the best, but God knows.

God told me

Having changed his lifestyle since leaving Kenya, former singer Lovy started a ministry which has grown over the years; and now the young father has turned into a prophet.

Just to show how much his faith has grown Prophet Lovy says God had prepared early enough about his brother’s death. Speaking during a live session on his gram – the man of God went on to reveal that God had already told him Christian would rest on the day he died, Saturday 13 March.

Speaking about this, the minister of the word said;

“On the day that he was leaving, God spoke to me and told me, ‘Christian is leaving today.’ I tried everything, spiritually, physically, and materially to keep him here, but man, when God speaks, God speaks and there is nothing you can do about it and it is always for the better. Size 8 has come from far and we all know this. After clearing High school from State House girls, the lass ventured into music and this how we got to know her.

Back in 2011 she released her one and only hit song Shamba Boy that saw make money like never before. But with such a hyped personality who wouldn’t have loved her?

However with time she slowly started changing and after meeting husband Sammy Muraya aka DJ Mo she decided to quit the secular music industry.

Change is inevitable

Theough her IG page, Size 8 shared a photo from her past to which she captioned;

I look at this picture and I see the LOVE OF JESUS CHRIST!! THE RECKLESS LOVE OF GOD!! I dont deserve His love neither did I earn it He just forgave me yet I was one of the chief of sinners.

Now that she is a Christian and a minister of the word; Size 8 says that she is grateful for the changes she made not forgetting the mistakes that drew her closer to her maker. She went on to say;

“No wall God wont tear down lie He wont bring down coming after me. No mountain He wont bring down , shadow He wont light up coming after me.” My God loved me even before I love Him. What manner of grace is this??? I am just in tears that He loves me this much. Whatever I did in my past I confessed and He has forgotten and forgiven me. And now God lifts me up to sing for Him.

In conclusion, Mrs Muraya went on to write saying;

Kabi Wa Jesus refuses to undergo DNA test to prove if he fathered cousin’s 7 year old daughter

Kabi Wa Jesus is said to have fathered his cousin’s 7 year old daughter; but now that the public knows what he allegedly did in the past – the man of God has refused to undergo a DNA test.

According to sources close to blogger Edgar Obare – The Wa Jesus family man claims that he cannot afford a paternity test; when it only costs Ksh 20,000 – which of course Kabi can raise even with the help of friends.

However, refusing to undergo the paternity test only proves that he could be hiding something; but after Edgar mentioned that Kabi’s son looks like Abby- then it’s only fair to conclude that the allegations are true.

From what we have learnt is that the DNA test was to determine whether Kabi; should pay for child support or not.

Back in the day, Tahidi High was the Vioja Mahakamani for the 90’s baby. It was fun, entertaining and above all made High school look like a walk in the park.

However, everything that has a beginning also had an end and after years of airing on Citizen TV; the popular show was cancelled – forcing the actors to find refuge elsewhere.

However what many didn’t know is that after the cancellation – most of the actors that is OJ, Omosh, Miss Morgan among others were left jobless and depressed.

Speaking recently during an interview, Ms Morgan says she walked right into depression; after having to change her lifestyle now that the money she was used to was no where to be found.

With stress hitting her from all angles, the lady found solace in alcohol; and that is when her worst nightmare came to life.

I went through depression. and depression can take you to alcohol. Some other people will just hide in the Christian faith. I embraced alcoholism at some point but luckily I had a strong family and friends who noticed what was happening to me,”

Self esteem issues

With alcohol deep in her system, the lady says she let herself go hence the massive weight gain; that led to yet another problem of body insecurities. She went on to say,

When I was down there, I was trying to lose weight. When I lost myself, I started losing self-esteem. You’re getting broke because you’re mismanaging your finances. I knew I could get out, but I didn’t know how.

But through it all, she managed to get back on her feet and is currently making headlines through new TV series.

Karen Nyamu this past weekend must have been sipping on something stronger than a walalo spray. I mean, for some reason she decided to show off her dancing skills; but all I know is that she either needs classes to work on whining her waist or needs to sheds off the baby fat before showing us how she gets down.

The video making rounds on social media has now left fans making fun of miss Nyamu; to a point of comparing her stiff waist to the Kenyan economy which is now draining many. This is after she was seen trying to whine, shake and twerk at the same time ~~forgetting vitu kwa ground na mind ni different.~~

Well…we can’t really say Ms Nyamu has two left feet – but all I know is that practice makes perfect; I mean, didn’t she just have a baby four months ago – and already appears to have bounced back?

Anyway as much as we love to hype and applaud Karen Nyamu – fans on the other hand seem to feel quite different.

Most could not hold back from trolling her for the whack moves; while others concluded that her poor dancing is why Samidoh decided to leave.

Joe Muchiri clearly knows nothing about chills. He speaks or writes whatever he feels like – not considering how others feel; but oh well, the selfish trait has somehow helped build his brand.

This past weekend, Joe Muchiri who is well known media personality; and a popular drunk (according to the comments) was caught up in a heated argument following a post shared by one Blakaende.

In the post – the popular ‘pastor T’ is heard condemning Eric Omondi for Wife Material season 2; and just like everyone else, Pastor T felt that Eric not only using these women as objects but was openly embarrassing them for his own good.

Being a man of God, Pastor T must have felt the need to address especially with hundreds of youths who attend his service. Probably this example – was to help show what happens to the girl child in our society; when one wants to make easy and fast cash.

Well, Joe Muchiri who happened to come across the post did not hold back from blasting the pastor for clout chasing using famous names that is Eric Omondi. He wrote;

I bet there is nothing that hurts most than losing a loved one; and in this case, Lovy Logomba is still learning to come into terms that his twin brother Christian- is no more.

This past weekend we learnt that Christian Longomba (who made the best duo with his twin brother) passed away following some complications with a brain tumor he had been battling for years.

As seen on a post shared on Saturday, 13 March; former singer Lovy who is now a prophet confirmed that his twin brother was no more as he wrote;

Christian Hulu Longomba (June 30 1984-March 13 2021), son of Lovy Longomba Sr and Mado Zaina made his transition to Heaven, Saturday morning in Los Angeles, CA from a long-suffered illness.

Christian was well-loved and we celebrate his gifts and talents that he shared with the entire world. With great love and appreciation for the support and love shown to Christian by fans, family and friends, we kindly ask for privacy during this time.God bless you all, Longomba family

Battle with Cancer

According to reports the late Christian Longomba had been battling with the recurring brain tumor for years; but unfortunately lost the battle in 2021.

His death has however left Lovy feeling the worst possible feeling; now that he has been permanently separated with his twin brother. The man of God broke down in a detailed post where he confessed losing Christian has left him empty; and being the first time he has ever beeen separated with his twin – he still can’t believe it’s true.

One of his posts read;

For the first time in my life I am separated from Christian…this hurts big time.

And if you thought men don’t cry even when it hurts the most; the young prophet was not shy to talk about his pain as he wrote;

This is the most I have ever cried in my life

Our condolences to the Longomba family as they go through this challenging time.

Nelly Oaks has been laying low since his break up with singer Akothee; and judging from the stories making rounds on social media about him – it appears that he is currently swimming in good money.

well, this is following reports claiming that he spent a couple of millions 3M on the jewelry he keeps parading on his page. This could be true or not but seeing how fine he keeps getting; it’s obvious to see that he has the money to sustain his good lifestyle….and trust me, he is no slay King.

Anyway several news outlets have confirmed the rumors about the jewelry; apparently his neck piece is 18k gold – meaning it’s 75% pure gold mixed with alloy. Well, let’s just say the young man is balling and thanks to his ex girlfriend – Nelly Oaks indeed learnt from the best.

While everyone is busy trying to recover from the pandemic and all the losses families have faced; one house girl identified as Gladys Naliaka Nalianya has left Mama Maina in tears after allegedly stabbing her two boys.

The story making rounds on social media claims that the 24 year old house help stabbed the two boys; leaving them for dead as she escaped moments after the incident.

Although details about the stabbings are yet to be explained well; Mama Maina’s neighbor is heard pleading to everyone who can help find the house who probably fled back to her villahe or could have been rehired somewhere else.

Eric Omondi arrested over ‘Wife Material season 2’

Comedian Eric Omondi was arrested this afternoon following his new show dubbed Wife Material.

As seen on a statement shared by Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) – we understand that the comedian is being accused of producing and distributing unauthorized ‘Wife Material’ films; without the approval of the KFCB.

The statement went on to claim that the show not only violated the KFCB laws; but promoted unlawful content that would negatively influence the youth forcing the DCI to step in.

For this reason; the comedian who had not been approved by the KFCB will now be arraigned in court for contravening the law. The post read to say;

The said comedian will be arraigned in court for contravening the law…

The end of Wife material?

Judging from how serious the press release sounds; we cannot help but wonder whether this will be the end of Wife Material. This is after the post went on to read;

The Board will take all possible legal means to curb production and exhibition of unauthorized films on any platform meant for public exhibition. Protection of children from exposure to harmful content remains our core mandate.

For any other artists looking to come up with such shows, the KFCB had this to say;

Any artist producing content for public consumption must ensure that they comply with the provisions of the Films and Stage Plays Act Cap 222 of the Laws of Kenya.
