Tanzanian singer Rayvanny has celebrated actress Wema Sepetu after she welcomed her first child, describing her journey as a powerful reminder that faith and patience can lead to unexpected blessings.
Speaking during an interview with a Bongo radio station on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, Rayvanny said he was genuinely happy for Wema, whom he described as a close friend. He noted that her journey to motherhood, which she had publicly shared over the years, showed that difficult seasons do not mean dreams are impossible.
“Wema is my close friend, and I am so proud of her. I am so happy. It shows that in life, nothing is impossible, especially if you believe in God,” Rayvanny said.
The Tetema hitmaker congratulated Wema on the new chapter and encouraged her to raise her child with good values.
“Wema, all the best. Congratulations, and bring up the baby well so he can become a good boy,” he added.
Rayvanny also sent his congratulations to Tanzanian singer Whozu, who is the father of Wema’s child. He praised him for supporting Wema and bringing happiness into her life.
“To her husband, singer Whozu, congratulations as well because you have shown you are a good partner and you have brought happiness. Let everyone be happy for them,” he said.
The singer further reflected on the significance of Wema’s baby’s arrival, recalling that Wema has long been loved by Tanzanians.
“Wema was known as the Tanzanian sweetheart. Now that baby will also carry that love. He is called Ollie, and he will be like a baby of the nation,” Rayvanny said.
He added that he believes the child will grow up well because of the values instilled by both parents.
“I know the baby will grow up to be good because both parents are good people,” he said.
Wema’s Long-Awaited Blessing
Rayvanny’s message came shortly after Wema announced the arrival of her baby boy on Saturday, June 13, 2026.
The actress shared a photo of a newborn wrapped in a blue shawl and wearing blue socks, leaving fans emotional and excited. She later confirmed that her son, named Ollie, was born with Whozu.
The announcement marked a major personal milestone for Wema, who has openly spoken for years about her struggles and hopes of becoming a mother.
Before welcoming her son, Wema had revealed that she had reached a point where she had accepted the possibility that motherhood might never happen for her.
In a previous interview, she said years of waiting and challenges had changed her expectations.
“Sijabarikiwa kupata mtoto na kiukweli kwa wakati huu hata mkiniambia mnanitakia heri, nimeshafika 35,” she said.
She also admitted that her desire for a child had weakened after years of hoping and waiting.
“My road to wanting a baby, hata ile hamu, imefika point nimegive up,” Wema said.
The arrival of baby Ollie has since been celebrated by fans, with many viewing Wema’s story as one of perseverance, hope, and answered prayers.
