Former Olympic champion Pamela Jelimo split up with her husband back in 2012 following infidelity stories. From what we had is that her husband Peter Kiprotich Murrey had been having affairs on the side forcing Jelimo to walk away.
According to Jelimo, she was actually not married to Murrey but he often introduced himself as her husband during conference meeting. Jelimo went on to add that there is no point in his life when he even proposed to her.
Jelimo’s ex opens up
Well, in a new interview Petter Murrey has opened up for the first time about his relationship with Jelimo. He denied ever being unfaithful to her and blames the Money and fame for ruining their union.
He went on to add that after his ex wife started making good money, she changed over night and started making plans without consulting him. She apparently bought properties and the house they were living in was also registered under her name.
In short, he had nothing and was now depending on his wife’s money, something that most men find hard to do.
“I did not even partly own the house we lived in. It was almost like she was preparing for our separation,”
Peter Murrey also blames the new circle of friends who contributed to their breakup. He says that most made up stories about him cheating triggering his split from Jelimo.
“We had an honest relationship, I would tell my ex-wife everything. Lies about my alleged infidelity were propagated by our enemies,”
Jelimo refuses to start a family
Before their relationship ended, Peter tried to convince Jelimo to have a child with him but she refused.
“I always wanted children. But she would shut me out every time I wanted us to discuss children. I gave her all of me. Apart from being her husband, I was her training mate, athletics adviser and coach. When our marriage ended, I left our home with nothing but my clothes,”
