Eddie Butita Jokes About Boxing Motivation After Arrow Bwoy’s Vurugu 2 Knockout

Days after the Vurugu 2 celebrity boxing event, comedian and filmmaker Eddie Butita has added his own humour to the conversation surrounding one of the night’s most talked-about moments.

Speaking after the event, Butita joked that if he ever agreed to step into the boxing ring, having his girlfriend watching would give him extra motivation to secure a victory.

A post shared by Eddie Butita OGW (@eddiebutita)

His comments came shortly after musician Arrow Bwoy suffered a knockout defeat to Shakib Cham Lutaaya during the Vurugu 2 event held in Nairobi on June 20.

In his usual comedic style, Butita imagined what it would feel like to lose a fight in front of someone close to him.

“If you ever see me agreeing to participate in a boxing match and my girlfriend is there, just know I’m going there to win. Imagine your girlfriend attends your boxing match and then you get beaten in a way she has never seen before — you end up lying on the floor with your mouth open. I cannot accept being beaten while my girlfriend is watching,” he joked.

Although Butita did not mention anyone directly, his remarks attracted attention because they came shortly after Nadia Mukami attended the event. Her presence sparked online discussions following her recently confirmed separation from Arrow Bwoy after years together, with the two choosing to continue co-parenting.

Vurugu 2 had already generated significant buzz before the main event, with the build-up between Arrow Bwoy and Shakib featuring public exchanges that at times went beyond the sporting rivalry.

When the two finally faced off in the ring, the focus shifted from the pre-match conversations to the outcome of the fight, which saw Shakib emerge victorious.

Butita’s comments were less about analysing the fight itself and more about turning the moment into a humorous reflection on pride, pressure, and the desire to impress someone important.

The joke has since become part of the many conversations surrounding Vurugu 2 — an event that blended celebrity entertainment, personal drama and boxing in front of a large audience.

For many fans online, the humour resonated because it captured a familiar fear: suffering an embarrassing moment in front of the one person whose opinion matters most.

Eddie Butita launches initiative for Kenyan film makers

Eddie Butita has officially launched “Slate 100,” an ambitious initiative aimed at transforming Africa’s creative industry by producing and showcasing 100 films from across the continent.

Backed by SPM Buzz and operating under SPM Africa Studios, the Slate 100 Accelerator Program seeks to empower filmmakers, actors, scriptwriters, and digital creators. The project is designed to provide key resources, industry exposure, and a global platform to elevate authentic African storytelling.

A Strategic Move for a Shifting Industry

The launch comes at a critical time for Africa’s film and television sector. Recent developments—such as Prime Video scaling back African original productions and restructuring efforts by Showmax—have raised concerns about the future of locally produced content.

These shifts have sparked debate among creatives and stakeholders about sustainability in the industry. Slate 100 positions itself as a direct response, focusing on homegrown talent while reinforcing the global appeal of African stories.

Speaking during the unveiling, Butita emphasised the importance of sustained investment in the sector.

“Africa has the stories, the talent, and the audience. What we need is consistency, investment, and belief in our own industry. Slate 100 is about building that foundation,” he said.

Opening Doors for Creatives

At its core, the initiative invites creatives from across Africa to submit their ideas and projects. Filmmakers, writers, actors, and producers—both emerging and established—can participate by submitting scripts, concepts, short films, or full-length productions.

Selected participants will benefit from a structured development pipeline that supports both creative development and production, ensuring their ideas can be brought to life effectively.

This inclusive approach aims to amplify diverse voices and narratives, reflecting the richness of African cultures and experiences.

Toward a Sustainable Creative Ecosystem

Beyond film production, Slate 100 is designed to build a long-term ecosystem for African storytelling. By committing to produce 100 films, the program aims to create jobs, nurture talent, and strengthen the continent’s creative infrastructure.

It also reflects a broader shift toward self-reliance within the industry, encouraging local investment and ownership at a time when global platforms are recalibrating their strategies.

Through SPM Africa Studios, Butita continues to position himself as a key figure in shaping Africa’s entertainment landscape, using his platform to support the next generation of storytellers.

Call for Submissions

Creatives interested in joining the Slate 100 initiative are encouraged to submit their projects through the official platform. The program is open to participants from across Africa and seeks a wide range of ideas and perspectives.

With Slate 100, Butita is not just introducing a film program—he is spearheading a movement aimed at redefining how African stories are created, shared, and celebrated on the global stage.

Butita advises Ruth K to “keep some soil from Mulamwah’s home in her house”

Content creator Ruth K recently endured every parent’s worst fear after her young son, whom she shares with comedian Mulamwah, went through nearly eight days of unexplained distress marked by constant crying.

The ordeal began toward the end of 2025 and stretched into the first week of 2026. Ruth described the period as the most difficult chapter of her life, saying it was heartbreaking to watch her child stop eating properly and struggle to sleep.

A Medical Puzzle

In search of answers, Ruth took her son to several leading hospitals in Nairobi. Despite multiple examinations, doctors were unable to identify any physical illness or medical explanation for the baby’s prolonged discomfort.

As concern grew, the situation sparked widespread discussion online. While some followers suggested spiritual intervention, others pointed to the child’s Luhya background, with a number of commenters noting that matters involving Luhya children are often regarded as culturally complex.

The Call of the Bloodline

Comedian Eddie Butita weighed in from a traditional perspective, speaking as a “Luya elder.” He explained that within Luhya culture, lineage and ancestry are deeply significant, particularly when it comes to male children.

According to Butita, ancestors occasionally seek reassurance that their bloodline is secure and present. He likened the family structure to a kingdom, where the father represents the king and the son is seen as the heir responsible for carrying on the lineage.

In this view, ancestral unrest may arise if the child is perceived to be away from the family’s ancestral land, potentially manifesting in distress until that connection is restored.

The Significance of the Soil

As a traditional remedy, Butita advised that when the child is living away from his father’s home, the mother should keep a small amount of soil from Mulamwah’s ancestral land in the house.

He explained that the soil symbolises a tangible link to the bloodline and can be used to calm the child by gently touching them with it or adding a small amount to their bathwater. The ritual is believed to signal to the ancestors that the lineage remains intact.

A Kitale Reunion

Amid growing pressure and cultural guidance, Ruth eventually travelled with the child to Mulamwah’s home in Kitale. According to the family, the change was immediate.

Mulamwah later shared a video showing himself bonding with the boy, who appeared calm and at ease. He reassured fans that his son was now doing well after the eight-day ordeal.

“God is great, the boy is home, ashafika… alikuwa amenimiss tu,” Mulamwah said.

The episode has since sparked broader conversations about parenting, highlighting the intersection between modern medicine and cultural traditions. While doctors found no medical cause, the family ultimately found comfort and resolution through reconnecting with their roots.

Eddie Butita Drops a 14-Item Birthday Wish List — And Fans Can’t Believe What’s On It

Comedian and entrepreneur Eddie Butita has jumped headfirst into the growing celebrity trend of public birthday wish lists — and his followers are buzzing after he posted a surprisingly specific 14-point list ahead of turning 33.

The funnyman, who marked his birthday on 16 November, shared the list on social media, leaving fans amused by how laser-focused it was.

A Birthday List Like No Other

Instead of gadgets, luxury trips or flashy toys, Butita’s entire wish list revolved around… socks and boxer shorts.

Yes — all 14 items.

He even broke them down by colour:

  • Socks: Blue, Red, Black, Green, White, Grey, Purple

  • Boxers: Blue, Red, Black, Yellow, Magenta, Indigo

Alongside the quirky list, Butita dropped a hopeful message for the year ahead:

FLIGHT EDDIE 33 take off, God bless me with good health, grace, more brains and wisdom.

Celebrities Are Making Wish Lists a Thing

Butita’s public gift guide is the latest in a wave of celebrity birthday lists sweeping Kenyan social media in 2025.

Big names like Abel Mutua, Mwende Macharia, Claudia Naisabwa, and Awinja have all embraced the trend — turning their birthdays into interactive fan moments and giving followers a chance to contribute directly to their celebrations.

A Star with an Ever-Rising Profile

Eddie Butita, born Edwin Butita, has built a powerhouse career since bursting onto the scene in 2010.

He became a household name through the Churchill Show, showcasing sharp, intelligent humour while also contributing as a writer and creative.

Today, he heads Stage Presence Media and continues to score major industry wins — including his groundbreaking role in 2021 as the lead writer and director of the Swahili adaptation of Netflix’s The Upshaws.

Eddie Butita’s Bold Statement on Campaign Costs Sparks Debate on Political Accessibility

Kenyan comedian and media entrepreneur Eddie Butita has stirred national conversation after firmly shutting down rumors of a political run — not with a simple denial, but with a revealing jab at the high cost of vying for office.

In a recent social media post, Butita made his stance clear:
“Listen, I am not interested in politics. A KSh 2 million salary cannot fund a KSh 500 million campaign.”

Though delivered with his trademark wit, the message struck a deeper chord, spotlighting a major issue in Kenya’s political landscape — the overwhelming financial cost of contesting high-level seats.

The KSh 500 Million Price Tag

Butita’s statement might seem exaggerated, but political analysts say it’s close to reality. Mounting a serious campaign for positions like governor, senator, or MP can easily run into hundreds of millions of shillings.

Key campaign costs include:

  • KSh 200–300 million on media — TV, radio, newspapers, and billboards.

  • KSh 100–150 million on transport, accommodation, and logistics, especially in geographically large constituencies.

  • Substantial spending on staff, polling agents, mobilisation, and grassroots outreach.

The final tally? Well over KSh 500 million — a number that rules out even some of Kenya’s most financially stable celebrities.

A Barrier to Young and New Voices

Butita’s remarks have reignited debate about the accessibility and fairness of Kenya’s political system. If public figures with strong incomes and platforms can’t afford to run, what hope do ordinary citizens have?

For many aspiring leaders — particularly the youth, professionals, and reform-minded community figures — the cost of entry is simply too high. Without connections to deep-pocketed donors or political dynasties, most are shut out before they even begin.

A Democratic Crisis?

While Butita has no political ambitions (for now), his candid comment has pushed an important issue to the forefront: the growing commercialisation of Kenyan politics.

It raises tough but necessary questions:

  • Is leadership only for the wealthy?

  • Can merit, vision, and public service compete with money?

  • What reforms are needed to level the playing field?

For now, Butita may remain on the sidelines — but his words have added fuel to a debate that won’t go away anytime soon.

Eddie Butita Launches His New Girlfriend (Photo)

Popular Kenyan comedian and creative powerhouse Eddie Butita is publicly celebrating new love, having gone public with his stunning new girlfriend, Celle Terer. The celebrated comedian, who ended his relationship with fellow comic Mammito three years ago, had long been the subject of playful jabs from fans and friends regarding his single status. Butita has now decisively put an end to such speculation with a bold and stylish relationship reveal that has sent social media buzzing.

In a recent Instagram post, Butita shared a sleek photo of himself alongside Celle, both elegantly dressed, confirming that he is officially off the market.

Butita’s admiration for his new partner did not stop at just a photo. A video that has since surfaced shows the comedian openly gushing about Celle during a candid street interview.

“Kijana handsome kama mimi hawezi kuwa soko. I am on demand. Nakuwa aje soko? I am currently a present boyfriend. Sisi ni wale tukitumwa ice cream saa nane usiku tunaendea, nikitumwa chocolate naenda,” he said proudly. (A handsome guy like me cannot be on the market. I am in demand. How can I be on the market? I am currently a present boyfriend. We are the type who, if sent for ice cream at 2 AM, we go; if sent for chocolate, I go.)

Despite this public display of affection, Butita surprised many with an unexpected piece of advice when asked to share his thoughts on dating in general. “Do not date. Just love people here and there, but do not date. Just do not get into a relationship that will burden you while you are still trying to find yourself,” he warned, a seemingly paradoxical statement given his own new relationship.

Additionally, Butita shared some reflections that hinted at lessons learned from past experiences: “Everyone can love, but loving right requires a lot of experience, in terms of what you see, how you see other love stories, and and how you relate to people,” he added, suggesting a nuanced understanding of relationships developed over time.

Claudia Naisabwa Shares How Butita Shielded Her from Predatory Advances

MC and presenter Claudia Naisabwa has expressed heartfelt gratitude to her former boss, comedian Eddie Butita, for shielding her from predatory advances by male celebrities and industry figures during her early days in Kenya’s entertainment scene.

Claudia revealed that she was just 19 and still a student when she landed her first presenter role at SPM Buzz, an entertainment platform owned by Butita. At the time, she admits she was inexperienced and unfamiliar with the dynamics of the industry. However, Butita provided invaluable mentorship and guidance, particularly regarding her interactions within the entertainment space.

She credits Butita’s support for helping her avoid falling victim to predatory behaviors. “There are a lot of challenges in the entertainment industry, especially for young girls like me. There is the good and the bad, and I can assure you there are wicked people everywhere. Some people in the industry have tried to hinder my growth and success,” the 22-year-old shared.

Claudia also emphasized that amidst the challenges, there are genuine individuals who offer protection and guidance, with Butita being one of them. “Butita has protected me from so much. He became not just a boss but also a great mentor and friend. Whenever someone made a pass at me, I’d confide in him, and he would advise me about that person. He helped me see beyond appearances because, oftentimes, people aren’t who they seem to be,” she explained.

Reflecting on her early experiences, Claudia noted how much she valued Butita’s advice. “At 19, I was naive. I only knew these people from social media and admired their content, but I didn’t know them beyond what they presented. Butita, having been in the industry for years, understood these individuals at a deeper level as a seasoned mainstream artist.”

What stood out most to her was Butita’s non-intrusive approach to guidance. “He protected me and guided me on what was right and wrong but always left the decisions to me. Even today, if someone approaches me or I’m dating someone, Butita knows. He keeps all my secrets—he’s someone I can trust completely.”

Eddie Butita: Most Women Available for Dating Already Have Children

Eddie Butita has admitted that finding a woman without children to date has become increasingly difficult.

The former Churchill Show comedian explained that most women he encounters already have kids.

“Men, you’re not leaving us any options. Almost every woman is either a baby mama or someone is a baby daddy. Out of 10 women, 6 have kids, 2 are pregnant, and the remaining 2 are making announcements. Is this in the constitution? Did we unknowingly pass it? By next year, anyone over 25 without kids will be a rarity,” Butita joked.

In 2023, Butita denied rumors of dating model Sadia.
“People saw us together and just assumed we were dating, but no one asked for the truth,” he clarified.

He also addressed claims by actress Jacky Vike, who alleged that Butita was married with children living upcountry.
“Butita has a wife and kids in the village. That’s something he told me,” Jacky revealed.

When asked why she believed Butita was hiding this information, Jacky said she didn’t know and suggested asking him directly. “Men are complicated,” she added.

Jacky’s statement came after Butita was rumored to be dating Sadia, following their helicopter ride together for an event. However, the rumors fizzled out after Sadia was linked to another man.

When contacted about Jacky’s allegations, Butita dismissed them humorously. “She’s ruining my chances in the dating market,” he said, firmly denying the claims.

Fans had mixed reactions to Butita’s remarks:

  • @naiwear_men: “Relax, maybe it’s time to review your criteria.”
  • @tonniempole: “Why the rush? You’re still young.”
  • @shiks_ritty: “Where is he searching? There are plenty of us here.”
  • @lilmissel.: “Just don’t have a child outside and expect someone without kids to date you.”
  • @kidooh254: “Sounds like you’re meeting single moms. Try Roysambu.”
  • @2mbili: “It’s never too late, bro!”

In a September interview with Oga Obinna, Butita shared that he was single and carefully considering potential partners.
“I’m not in a rush to settle down. I’ve received plenty of interest, but I’m taking my time to see if they meet my standards,” he said.

The Reason Butita Was Refused Entry to Dave Chappelle’s Show

American stand-up comedian Dave Chappelle performed in Kenya this May, captivating a sold-out audience at the Louis Leaky Auditorium. However, Kenyan comedian, actor, scriptwriter, and entrepreneur Eddie Butita recently disclosed that he was barred from attending the event, even though he had purchased a ticket.

In a video shared by SPM Buzz, Butita stated, “You know I was banned from getting into that show. I was banned.”

He explained that he had just returned from a tour in the U.S. with President Ruto when he was contacted by the event organizers, who informed him that he would not be permitted to attend.

“I had already bought my ticket. But a day before the show, the organizers called me and said, ‘We’re sorry, but you’ve been banned from attending.’ They mentioned that comedians and anyone affiliated with the media were not allowed at the show. Maybe they thought we might copy his jokes,” Butita speculated.

Eddie Butita Responds to KOT Criticism Over Interview with Ruto

Kenyan creative Eddie Butita has addressed the backlash he received from Kenyans on Twitter (KOT) following his interview with President William Ruto.

You can’t bring down youths in the name of fighting for youths—double speak at its peak. SPM BUZZ was present, as well as Tuko, Kenyans, Uliza Link, among others. I see no issue with digital media entities conducting interviews just like mainstream outlets.”

The interview occurred a few weeks after Butita accompanied President William Ruto and his team on a trip to the US.

Go to YouTube and create a 10-minute promo that rejects the Finance Bill. That is what artists do. I am not begging you. CHANGE or PERISH.”

This pressure prompted Butita to respond, eventually rejecting the finance bill amid intense scrutiny. His friends, Abel Mutua and Njugush, humorously came to his defense, leaving fans in stitches.

Abel Mutua declared, “On Tuesday, we will be one soldier heavier. Welcome to the streets @eddiebutita. Your mistake wasn’t joining the government. For change to happen, we need to influence from within. Delaying the rejection swayed the public, but we are good now. See you Tuesday.”

Bahati in the hot seat after Butita exposes his ‘secrets’ in front of Riggy G

“Huyu kitu anajua kufanya kwa hii maisha ni clout” – Eddie Butita tells Rigathi Gachagua about Bahati’s clout-chasing tendencies.

On June 3, Kenyan singer Bahati puzzled fans, friends, and fellow celebrities by posting an old photo of his wife, Diana Marua, with football player Victor Wanyama, accompanied by a heartbreak emoji.

With no further explanation from Bahati, speculation about the state of his marriage began to swirl.

The situation intensified as reports surfaced that Bahati and Diana had unfollowed each other and removed their photos on Instagram.

According to Butita, Bahati shifted to secular music as soon as he started earning more money.

“Wacha ashike pesa kidogo, Adhiambo. So now huyu kitu anajua kufanya kwa hii maisha ni kitu inaitwa clout. Okay, clout ni kiki. Clout means waking up today and saying you’ve broken up with your wife, and then on Friday, you release a new song,” he said.

Butita further explained, “Clout is waking up today and saying something to trend, then tomorrow you release something new. Clout is saying on Friday at 10 AM, Bahati featuring Satan for new Gospel… Clout is refusing to take your wife to the National Park because there are animals.”

Eddie Butita entertained the audience, who laughed at his jokes about Bahati’s life and journey.

His humorous take on Bahati’s clout-chasing tactics added a light-hearted touch to the launch event of ‘The Bahatis Empire’.

‘Who doesn’t make mistakes?’ Butita reflects on Miss Mandi’s past ridicule

Comedian Eddie Butita has revisited his fallout with former radio presenter and content creator Miss Mandi, who previously ridiculed his comedy.

Butita’s recent trip to the US, where he accompanied President William Ruto on a tour of filmmaker Tyler Perry’s studios, sparked social media discussions. Users unearthed a past tweet from Miss Mandi mocking his comedy, stating she didn’t find him funny and doubting his chances of landing a radio job, a position he greatly desired at the time.

I think Miss Mandi had a right to say what she said, we are all human beings, we have choices and that was hers. The only question was how she went about it, she probably could have been a bit nicer without necessarily being ridiculous. It was wrong, but then again, who doesn’t make mistakes?” Butita told Nairobi News.

An email exchange from 11 years ago revealed that Miss Mandi not only declined Butita’s request to be her radio co-host but also mocked his creativity. At that time, Butita was just starting his comedy career.

Fast forward to 2024, and Butita has risen to become one of President Ruto’s favored creatives. His connection with the president, which began last year, has seen him involved in several government creative projects.

The highlight of his career was spending time with the head of state during the US trip. While many have praised Butita, the founder of Stage Presence Media Buzz (SPM BUZZ), for his transformation from a stand-up comedian to a presidential favorite, others are left wondering what became of Miss Mandi.

Butita considering selling his Jaguar XE due to allegations from his sugar mommy

Comedian Eddie Butita has once again addressed doubts surrounding his ownership of his Sh5 million Jaguar XE, which he acquired last year as an upgrade from his Nissan Tilda, purchased for Sh850,000.

When Butita initially showcased his new car on social media, rumors circulated suggesting it was not his own, with some speculating it belonged to an older woman, colloquially referred to as a “cougar.”

Expressing frustration over the persistent skepticism, Butita remarked, “At some point, I think I will just have to sell this car. Why don’t people believe in this craft that we’re doing? I have done so many things, so many great creative projects. Even the president once said that I make more money than his basic salary. Does that mean that with all that I do, I can’t just work hard and make enough money to get a good car? Why should I have to depend on a sugar mummy to get me a car? I just don’t understand the argument.”

Following his breakup with comedian Mamitto, Butita has been linked romantically to several women, including the alleged anonymous sugar mummy. However, he has consistently refuted these claims, dismissing them as products of social media speculation.

Since gaining prominence through the Churchill Comedy Show, Butita has embarked on a journey of self-reinvention, seizing various creative opportunities, such as screenwriting, which have proven lucrative for him. Nonetheless, he has encountered challenges along the way, including navigating gatekeepers within the Churchill Show platform, which he described as “a living hell” due to their resistance to his success.

Sadia Confirms She’s In A Relationship With Eddie Butita, Says They’re In Love With Each Other

Reports alleging that SPM boss Eddie Butita and Sadia have been dating have now been confirmed by the content creator. Rumours about the pair dating surfaced in 2023 and were catalyzed by a birthday message in which Said celebrated Butita who she hailed as “the most amazing human”, accompanying the same with heart emojis.
“Happy Birthday to the most amazing human. You have taught me a lot and I’m really grateful to be a part of you. I’m so proud of how far you’ve come. Cheers to many more laughs and beautiful moments,” read Said’s message.
This was among the reasons for speculating a relationship was cooking between them; not forgetting they went on a luxurious chopper ride together. To reciprocate, Eddie Butita also celebrated Sadia on Women’s day. Anyway, Sadia has now divulged that the two are actually in love and are now seeing each other. She revealed the same in a recent interview with Milele FM’s Ankali Ray, saying ‘ni mapenzi moto moto’.
‘Haijalishi tulianza lini kupendana. Bora tunapendana na tunaendelea,” she said
However, Sadia maintained that they have not yet moved in, but their love for each other is still on.

Butita addresses Wakimani’s assertions. Churchill gave them cars and $300,000

Eddie Butita clarified the narrative presented by Wakimani regarding Daniel Ndambuki, the founder of Churchill, allegedly gifting cars to comedians. In an interview with Oga Obinna, Butita explained that while they weren’t given cars, they were provided with loans to organize shows.

During a Creatives Meeting called by Churchill, Butita’s group, consisting of three individuals, was given 200K to create a show and return the funds once the show succeeded. However, their Mombasa show did not go as planned, leaving them with around Ksh 70,000, and they were unable to repay Churchill immediately. This led to tensions within the group, and one member mishandled the funds.

Later, Butita’s team had the opportunity to organize a show in Dubai, enabling them to repay the money owed to Churchill. This experience solidified a positive business relationship between Butita and Churchill, with an understanding that financial transactions could take place between them.

Butita noted that while Churchill is a good person, the environment at Churchill Show was somewhat toxic, with certain individuals creating an unfavorable atmosphere. According to Butita, there is no animosity between them, and Churchill remains a positive influence.

In a separate interview, Wa Kimani shared that Churchill provided financial assistance to comedians during a meeting. Churchill allegedly gave groups of three comedians sh300,000 each to organize and perform shows outside Nairobi. Some comedians who desired cars were directed to showrooms to select their vehicles, and according to Wa Kimani, some still use the cars provided by Churchill.

Eddie Butita Opens Up On Challenges Comedians Face On Churchill Show

In a recent interview with Oga Obinna, comedian and filmmaker Eddie Butita offered a candid perspective on his time on the popular platform “Churchill Show.” While acknowledging the show’s positive impact on launching careers, Butita also discussed challenges faced by comedians, including:

  • Limited opportunities: Butita described being confined to the “Churchill Raw” segment despite consistent strong performances. He attributed this to decisions by unnamed individuals, suggesting potential gatekeeping within the show’s structure.
  • Lack of support: Butita also mentioned experiencing negativity and a lack of support from certain members of the team, implying a less than ideal backstage environment for some.

Butita shared his insights on Churchill show;

“I will forgive them for everything but i will forgive them for everything but one ntadisagree na watu ni vile watu fulani wanagate keep iyo space mpaka mtu unaogopa kuwa mnoma. Infact mimi ni victim wa kuteseka juu najua kufanya kitu,” he said.

Butita’s experiences paint a complex picture of the show’s influence. While undeniably serving as a stepping stone for many, his story highlights the potential need for greater transparency, fairness, and support within the industry.

Despite these challenges, Butita continues to thrive, recently launching season two of his self-produced show “A Nurse Toto.”

‘Butita Has Children & A Wife Hidden In His Rural Home’- Actress Jacky Vike

Comedian Eddie Butita has been exposed by his fellow jester and actress Jacky Vike, also known  as Awinja. The actress, during a recent interview with SPM Buzz, made a shocking revelation about Eddie Butita; which is quite intriguing since the jester has kept his relationship(s) private for a long time.

As we all know, Butita is an epitome of true hardwork; and he has shown it over the years. Despite having built an empire for himself, Butita has never disclosed anything about having a family or divulged about the love of his life.

But Jacky claims that Butita already has a wife & children; whom he has been hiding at his rural home for a while.

‘Butita akona bibi na watoto ushago. Hio ni kitu alinishow.”

When asked why she thinks Butita is keeping the information under wraps, Jacky responded;

”I don’t know. Unajua mambo ya wanaume ni ngumu.”

This comes after Eddie Butita was rumoured to be dating Sadia; whom they boarded a helicopter together while attending an event.

But the latter came to pass after Sadia was rumoured to be dating another man.

Eddie Butita Warns Daddy Owen On Dating The President’s Daughter Charlene Ruto

Comedian Eddie Butita has shared his cons of dating the President’s daughter Charlene Ruto to Daddy Owen. This comes after the two sparked rumours that they had something going on between them. They roped in netizens’ reaction on whether Daddy Owen is considering marriage once again despite undergoing a hefty heartbreak in his previous marriage.

Anyway, Eddie Butita has now shared why it’s risky for Daddy Owen to date the first daughter. He shared through a video on his Instagram;

”Daddy Owen you’re my friend. Wacha nikuambie. If you’re dating the first daughter, hio si dating, ni kazi. Ni kama kulipa ushuru. Unajua huyu hahitaji password kuona texts zako. Hawa kwao wakona DCI, NYS. ”

He continued to warn him that they’ll not have time to solve family issues. Instead, he will be controlled whenever things go south.

Daddy Owen, Charlene Relationship

Earlier this year, Daddy Owen set tongues wagging with unveiling of photos showcasing President William Ruto’s daughter, Charlene Ruto, visiting his mother in Kakamega. The nature of their relationship was shrouded in mystery, leaving Kenyans curious and eager for answers.

Despite widespread reports a few days ago about Charlene’s visit, Daddy Owen remained tight-lipped on the subject. However, on January 2, 2024, he finally shared several photos from Charlene’s visit to Eshieywe while reflecting on his 2023 highlights.

The two are supposedly good friends. But only time will tell if there’s more than just friendship between them.

Eddie Butita reveals he knew Starlet Wahu’s alleged murderer

Popular comedian Eddie Butita has acknowledged knowing John Matara, the prime suspect in the murder of Pastor Victor Kanyari’s sister, Starlet Wahu. Butita revealed this on his X page in response to a post by a user identifying Matara.

He commented on the post mentioning that he attended the same high school as Matara, acknowledging their past connection. This confirmation adds another layer to the ongoing investigation into the shocking murder.

“Haiyaaa @iamjoseh_ unakumbuka huyu jamaa Pale Butere Boys High School?”

He even cheekily told one Kenyan he had a case to answer in his follow-up comments to the others who had engaged him.

“Hii kwa law tunasema you are an accessory to a crime, you reluctantly watched a criminal grow even going as far as kumchunia mandazi when njaa ilikuwa karibu kumaliza yeye, without raising your hands in class.. Am afraid you have a case to answer..”

Eddie refuted this by saying, “Ata mimi nimeona kwa whatsapp group.”

Following the shocking and horrific death of 24-year-old socialite and Instagram baddie Starlet Wahu, the Kenyan entertainment industry was plunged into mourning.

The aspiring socialite, who also happens to be the younger sister of famous preacher Pastor Kanyari, was allegedly killed by a man named John Matara following a tumultuous date in the South B neighborhood of Nairobi.

The curvy Starlet was spotted with Matara, who was dressed in brown khaki pants, a sleeved blue denim shirt, and brown shoes, according to CCTV evidence that the police provided.

Wahu, 24, completed the ensemble with a short denim coat and a crimson dress that she wore with black heels.

Eddie Butita Reflects On The Impact of President Ruto’s Endorsement

Kenyan comedian Eddie Butita found himself in the spotlight in June when he received a surprising accolade from President William Ruto during the Kenya Drama Festivals Winners Gala at State House, Nairobi. The president singled out Butita and his comedy partner Njugush, praising their creative talent and entrepreneurial spirit, even suggesting that they might be earning more than his own salary of nearly KSh2 million.

In a recent interview with Dr. King’ori, Butita opened up about the profound impact that the president’s unexpected recognition has had on his life. He shared how this endorsement has not only boosted his career but has also influenced how he interacts with others.

“There is something psychological or subconscious about power,” Butita remarked. “When the president said I was successful, it changed a lot of dynamics in terms of business, how we relate with other people. Sometimes you get business because someone hopes one day you will mention their name to the president. There is something about power I am trying to understand, especially its effect because the president can be a very good influencer.”

Butita, known for his witty and lighthearted approach, jokingly suggested that the president should consider charging a fee for publicly endorsing businesses. While a lighthearted remark, it also reflects the significant influence that the president’s words can have on public perception and business opportunities.

Butita’s experience highlights the power of recognition and endorsement from influential figures. The president’s commendation has undoubtedly boosted Butita’s reputation and opened doors to new opportunities. It also serves as a testament to the success of Butita and Njugush as comedians and entrepreneurs, demonstrating their ability to not only entertain but also build a thriving business around their talent.

Georgina Njenga’s ‘handsome’ remark is met with a cheeky Butita response.

Due to his darkly attractive visage, Eddie Butita is pretty ecstatic that a prominent celebrity finds him attractive.

The key celebrity in question is the content producer Georgina Njenga, who revealed during a quick-fire interview with Flossytrukid that she finds Butita to be attractive.

When asked to list the top five most attractive males, Georgina became quite bashful.

“Does it have to be a TikToker or can I say Instagrammers??”

“Trukid and Butita”

Butita expressed his joy at finally being recognized for his nice looks in the comment area of her Instagram post.

“Hapana!! Madem msikue mnasema tu mnanipenda na inaishia hapo, nikuleni please.”

Eddie Butita Steps Out Rocking Dreadlocks (Photo)

Like many other jesters including Eric Omondi, Chipukeezy, among others, Butita is also a fan of rocking new hairstyles- not very often, but he does enjoy having a new look after a while.

Celebrities have tapped into the new world of fashion and style and we wouldn’t be surprised if we have a person makes fashion out of something we never expected. Ragged jeans wasn’t seen as fashion when it pioneered, but people started embracing it and still lives on up to date.

Same thing applies to hairstyles. There are many styles that different people fancy. Some stick to the same hairstyle while others don’t mind changing over & over.

Eddie Butita has now opted to go for dreads. The jester took to his Instagram to floss the new look to his followers.

”New Look… it’s your boy Eddie Butita,” he captioned the photos.

The funnyman once rocked hair dyed in red and blue- leaving netizens flabbergasted about it-but eventually got used to it. It’s all about making your own fashion.

Comedian YY has responded to Kibe saying he was cuckolded

Kibe is not the nicest of men when it comes to passing a message and he decided to warn the comedian, YY that his wife might have cuckolded him with his friend and fellow comedian, Eddie Butita.

And though he was speaking on the rather uncanny similarity between Butita and YY’s newborn child, the way he went around it was rather jarring cos honestly, who openly blasts someone with such information on social media?

5 Ways To Protect Yourself From Getting Mugged In The City

Cases of assault in the city have become rampant recently. And it’s quite a scare for netizens as they cruise the petrifying city streets; some of which have been red-zoned. With netizens on high alert, there’s definitely a few ways you can employ to avoid being a statistic.

To begin with, avoid walking along lonely blind alleys. Most of them are a den that await anyone who seems to be lost. You’ll end up having nowhere to run/hide since most of them are just a cul de sac. Consider using open streets while going to your destination.

The most under-rated method number 2 is walking fast. Most of these hooligans will target someone who seems confused and he/she is walking slowly. Keep up the pace, walk it like you talk it!

Avoid Being Mugged - Live Safely

Thirdly, situational awareness. Most people are easily robbed in the city for not being aware of their own surrounding(s). While you walk, take a sneak peak of whose around you. Try to beware of anyone who is following you around surreptitiously.

The other obvious method to avoid getting mugged is to walk with friends/company. Tag a friend along after work; or while going to visit new places in the city. This will help you with manpower whenever thug(s) corner you.

Stay in touch with 5 friends, Kenyans urged, in unique #StayINreachOUT campaign - Hope Media

Lastly, employ contextual dress-codes when necessary. If you look too fancy & lavish, you’ll be the centre of attraction for thieves. Of course they’re after money and goodies. And your outfit will determine whether they’ll come after you or not. Keep it simple!

Eddie Butita reacts to Sosuun and Viviane’s fight, compares it to a high school play

Comedian cum content creator Eddie Butita is just not feeling Vivian and Sosuun’s fight. To him, it looks more of a high school play – predictable, same old same old script, Unentertaining, no originality or better yet – no suspense.

Probably because of how it all started – with Vivian attacking Sosuun on social media assuming fans wouldn’t it figure this was all planned out. Maybe we can give them too credit for choosing to get personal with Zalia bwanako kwanza and umekaliwa na ma in laws you can’t even speak for yourself. Man…that was deep.

But again – Butita doesn’t agree with how they scripted the whole drama…not forgetting the staged video of the two fighting. Actually thanks to that video, comedian Butita was able to share his thoughts clip which saying;

A cheeky Butita took several glances at the socialites goodies as she turned around before poking them with the pair of scissors and watching what would happen. Well, because according to him, there must be pressure inside them.

King of comedy? Amid Coronavirus, Eddie Butita manages to attract huge audience during recent live comedy show (Video)

Comedians in the country have been working tirelessly as they try to entertain their fans using their social media pages. Trust me, with such pressure no one wants to sit idle and watch others make money when all along Corona is here to help sharpen our minds!

Among those who have been taking advantage of this opportunity is comedian Eddie Butita. Well, despite the growing concerns about the spread of the coronavirus; rumor has it that Butita recently held a successful comedy show that attracted a huge crowd that came in to support his new project.

As seen on the video shared on his YouTube page one can’t help but notice the huge crowd who we believe availed themselves willingly!

Comedian Eddie Butita speaks the truth, and KOT calls him out for hypocrisy citing his love alliance with Mammito

The popular comedian and talk show host Eddie Butita stirred the hornet’s nest by slamming netizens falling over themselves to wish American rapper Nicki Minaj good tidings for her alleged pregnancy. While the outspoken media personality is known for witty comebacks on The Trend show, his post on Twitter elicited mixed reactions.

Immediately after the sassy American rapper broke news of her pregnancy online, her Kenyan fans were quick to congratulate her. This is what prompted Eddie Butita’s blunt bashing on Twitter, calling out netizens for double standards.

In a nutshell, Butita had branded this as mere hypocrisy. How do you rush to shower a star living in a faraway continent with love and good wishes, while closer home, you continue to ignore friends, family and relatives?

https://www.ghafla.co.ke/ke/what-natalie-tewas-friends-need-to-remind-her-about-her-alleged-situation/

This post prompted a barrage of savage trolls, with KOT brashly referring to the actor’s clear alliance with popular comedienne Mammito. The Kenyan comedy power couple has since confirmed their relationship. They had taken the good wishes aftermath in stride, though none of their fans really knew them.

Ain’t that a similar scenario to the Nicki Minaj pregnancy breaking news?

In a wider view, though, Eddie Butita is right.

Kenyans have peculiar habits. A typical Kenyan lady will ignore the neighbor with a Mama Mboga stall full of fresh vegetables and fruits. She’s bound to shop for the same – stale and refrigerated – at the high end mall for double the price. Kenyans do not support each other.

This is why youth may opt to rock the latest NBA gear, at exorbitant prices. Yet, they live with a gifted stylist dealing with Ankara fabrics, but doesn’t once consider to rock this authentic wear. Where’s the sense of belonging?

On the art scene, a Kenyan is up to date with the latest box office release and affords the narcissistic Hollywood personalities a significant portion of their devotion. How many Kenyan film productions and actors do you know?

Nil. Nada. Zero.

Why do we not build our own?

Blessings on blessings! Comedian Eddie Butita and wife, Mammito expecting their first child? (Photo)

Funny man Eddie Butita will one day make an amazing dad; ask how I know this? Well, apart from his jokes, the young man has proven to be hustler….and I am assuming all this is because he looks forward to giving his family nothing but the best he can offer.

Growing up in the ghetto (Kayole) not only taught him the art of survival; but also gave him a reason not to ever wish that kind of life to his children and his children’s children!

Well, despite Churchill show the comedian has been making major moves through his social media projects; and unlike other comedians who complain about joblessness – let’s just say Eddie has been working street smart to ensure he survives this Covid-19 period.

Eddie Butita hinting about Mammito’s pregnancy?

From the above post it’s evident that Butita was trying to pass a message using his post – or he was drawing himself some attention? Well, we can’t say but I can confirm that unlike other celebrities – this fella rarely pulls social media stunts to remain relevant!

So could Mammito be with child? Well, after reaching out for a confirmation – the comedian did not confirm nor deny whether his long term girlfriend is expecting their first child together!

Private life

Although the two continue to make money together; they often try to avoid parading their private life on social media!

However, truth is we can’t help but wonder how the two spend their free time together; do they crack each other up or teach each other new jokes? Well, who knows!

Eddie Butita responds after fan calls him out for being a snob

This past weekend comedian Eddie Butita was forced to speak up after one of his fans came out claiming to have been ignored by Churchill show funny guy!

According to the fan, Eddie Butita walked in at an undisclosed hotel where he was dining; seeing one of his favorite comedians, the fan tried greeting Butita who apparently snubbed him — something that made people who were around laugh at him.

The fan narrated the story saying;

The Churchill comedian has however come out to defend himself saying that he would never pull such a move on a fan.

Butita went on to add that he is a man of the people and meets fans everywhere he goes and never has he ignored anyone.

However at times people tend to expect too much from a person forgetting that he is also human. In a statement shared on his social media pages Butita explained himself saying;

Kenyan comedians should stay away from music!

If you are keen enough, I’m sure you’ve noticed that almost every Kenyan comedian has crossed over to music. It’s almost as if that was the endgame for all of them. Wasn’t it though?

It started with Eric Omondi, soon enough the likes of Fred Omondi, DJ Shiti, Mulamwah, Eddie Butita, Mammito, soon joined in.

Sometimes I ask myself why they all decided to make this predictable move. Like, did they stop to think that we were already tired of their lame and tribal jokes. I guess not.

In as much as some of them are talented, (I give it to them, some can sing but  I won’t mention any names) why did they imagine that they would have any impact as musicians? What did they really want to achieve?

I bet it all began when they realized that they had lost relevance as comedians, that people were not cheering them as they used to so jumping ship and music seemed like the best option.

In my opinion, if you have established your career in a certain line, you should try your best to perfect it not to cross over to another career and fail terribly at it.

Eddie Butita

I’m aware that some of them try to include a comical aspect in their songs to show us that they can still do both but I don’t think anyone really cares.

It’s a fact that most of comedians are just trying to remain relevant by maintaining active fan bases but should they torture our eardrums while at it?

Whichever way you see it, Kenyan comedians should get back to terrible jokes that we were all used to and stay away from release music because let’s be honest, the country has enough musicians!

Ni mapenzi tu! Comedian Eddie Butita steps out with his rumored girlfriend

Seems that comedian Eddie Butita and Mammito are now kicking things up a notch after sharing a new photo together.

The apparent couple who have been said to keep their relationship on the low are seen together in a new photo; something we rarely see on their social media pages.

Eddie Butita who is currently doing quite well with his Eddie Butita campus tour did not caption the photo leaving room for assumptions from fans and tabloids.

Unlike most couples who prefer taking ‘romantic’ photos; the two decided to do something different but looking at Mammito’s facial reaction we can agree that she liked what she was looking at.

“There is no way I can be pregnant. I always use protection” Churchill Show comedian Mammito comes clean after word she’s heavy with a baby

Churchill Show comedian Eunice Wanjiku Njoki has fiercely denied being pregnant with Eddie Butita’s child insisting that a condom is always in use when never getting intimate.

Last year rumors were rife that Mammito was expecting Butita’s baby after it emerged that the two comedians were in a relationship.

In an interview with Buzz, the comedian denied she’s carrying Butita’s baby because they always use protection.

“There was a time I posted a photo after lunch so my stomach was protruding, I guess that is where the rumours came from. Let me just put it clear that I always use protection, the ones that are studded with ribs, so there is no way I can be pregnant. I use the ones with banana or strawberry flavour because they give extra pleasure, keep me safe, and leave my house smelling very nice. People will believe anything they read on blogs so I am not even shocked,” said Mammito.

English

The comedian in the interview also revealed that she now planning to revolutionize her comedy by introducing English jokes.

“I am going into English comedy so the world can hear this girl from Kibera, and we are establishing comedy clubs so grassroot comedians can also have opportunities. Every first Saturday of the month it goes down at the Blues club at Barclay’s plaza and we are hoping more venues will take this up. We need to build an industry for next generation; If my kids choose to be comedians I don’t want them to struggle like I did.”
