What message is Fik Fameica passing in Tell Me?

To add on, his work is unique as he has not neglected his mother tongue as he has also delivered the song in Luganda.

Also, his fluency in his language and little mixture in English has given the song a very unique and natural feel.

Although am not in a position to understand Luganda, all I know that this jam is full of love. The way he has invested his emotions in Tell Me is something that tells it all.

Fik Fameica is not ashamed of hawking second hand clothes before he became a star

Before stardom, artistes had  to hustle just like the rest of us and many are not ashamed of it just like “Tonsukuma” singer  Fik Fameica.

He admits he actually sold second hand clothes which he hawked  from place to place, to his specific clients but not at the Owino market.

He says it was through that he met producer Frank of JahIive who was one of his clients and bought a lot of clothes form him.

“I used to take clothes to Jahlive in Makindye. It was there that one time I met people freestyling and I asked to try. Frank didn’t believe I was serious but gave me some unfamiliar beat and I failed on it miserably. But then I asked for another and I did well,” he explains.

Fik then recorded “Pistol” that was initially for his pleasure but it became his breakout hit.

Money lender plots to come for Fik Fameica’s new car over failed payments

A money lender identified as John Kabanda is threatening to seize Fik fameica’s new ride a Pajero GDI for non payment. The money man seems to have been ticked off after seeing the “tonsukuma” star showing off the wheels on the internet yet still owing him upwards of 100m.

John kabanda says he gave Fik and his management a loan to hold their show that flopped terribly but he still needs to be paid.  In the midst of all this the lifestyle flaunt do t make him happy at all.

He has given the team up-to 1st Feb 2019 to have cleared the first installment of their debt.

APASS apologises To Public Over Twitter War With Ykee Benda

We have watched various music artists eat themselves up, over simple things in this country. Two of our new celebrities, APASS and Ykee Benda had a twitter scuffle over Fic Fameica, and the former has made a public apology.

The singer apologises publicly

It all started when Dim Fameica’s concert failed to make it to the ladder, and our singer had to make a comment about it. In defence, Ykee Benda invited an internet fight. This kept us wondering whether there was something deeper that these two are fighting for.

The fight

Fik Fameica my journey concert flops

Being the most sought after and wildly famous singer this year,  Fik fameica surely expected a much larger crowd from his amazing fans for his concert that took place last Friday 14th December.

The crowd however wasn’t an encouraging one that Fik Fameika got at the concluded concert, My Journey. Fik registered a very low turn up despite having a list of hit songs.

On seeing this, Fik cried backstage and feared to perform. He said he had been let down, and that his morale had gone down. As numbers gathered, he was urged to perform by musicians backstage, with many telling him he is a star and that his journey is just beginning.

He gave a very great show, which has gone straight to contest for performance of the year.

But the question still remains , what went wrong for such a celebrated actor.

Besides the music, revelers were also treated to several fun activities which included video games, beer pong, pool table and neon painting.

The next destination for the Club Dome is Mbarara.

Fik Fameica Claims he is the most desirable man in the country

Fik Fameica aka the fresh bwoy has his confidence shooting sky high over the course of the year because of his rising fame. He has now come out to claim that he is the most eligible bachelor on the streets at the moment.

Is it just about the music? Or does his influence and attractiveness extend to his looks as well?

Fik was rumoured to be dating popular TV personality Sheila Gashumba this year who is considered “high class” which we bet has also helped in boosting his confidence.

It is also possible that the hordes of several girls have approached him yearning for just a second of his time are there for the money and not his looks. But who are we to stop him from feeling his best.

Fik Fameika and NTV’s Sheila Gashumba have been gossip folder for a while now. After the song my property came out, Sheila vehemently denied being his property.

Well now the two will be on plane together to feature on a show in Turkey at Afro-Instanbul club. The show is due this Sunday.

Fameika is the headline performer while Sheila is the host.

In interviews, they have both denied any romantic involvement saying that they are just, good friends.

The two are both Africell ambassadors and share a lot in common.

They will definitely be happy to travel together, and probably share a hotel room.

“I dream of working with Maddox not Bebecool”- Fik Fameica

Few days ago, Bebe Cool confessed that he loved Fik Fameica music, something that sparked off speculations that the two could be in studio cooking new music.

However Fik Fameica says he yearns and dreams working with the legendary musician, Maddox Ssematimba.

While appearing on Kansanga based Galaxy FM’s “Evening Rush” Show with Prim and Littlejo, Fik Fameica was asked about the artiste he would like to work with.

He proudly replied, “Maddox. He is the man I want to work with.

So many people have  been claiming that i am working on a collabo with  Bebe Cool because he said he loves my music, but no, I don’t dream working with Bebe Cool.”

It should be noted that few days ago, it was reported that Maddox rejected Fik Fameica’s request of redoing his song.

This could be a stunt by Fik Fameica to trick Maddox to grant his request.

Fik Fameica is New Capital Kitchen Ambassador

Ugandan artiste, Fik Fameica has really caught the attention of the youth since he stepped into the scenes late last year. His voice, coupled with playful type of music, is what anyone would want to dance to. The Skonto singer has scooped some major deals, with MSETO East Africa, Africell Uganda and many others. Last week he was named by Development Channel as the ambassador for the computer tablet, No drop out. Word coming in is that he has been signed as Capital Kitchen’s ambassador.

Fik Fameica Denied Visa to the USA

Fik Fameica will not be on a plane to USA anytime soon after he was denied visa to the Trump Nation.

The Kutama singer was due to perform at a convention organized by Ugandans in the diaspora under their umbrella body UNAA, in Seattle, September 2018.

When contacted, Fameica said; “Things are not good at embassy,” before adding that he will give it another shot probably.

Julius Lwebuga, the UNAA Deputy president says the singer applied for a wrong Visa.

“Fik has to apply for a Cultural Visa instead of a Visitor’s Visa,” he said.

Lwebuga however was quick to note that entertainment is a secondary objective at the convention, so the debacle that befell Fik Fameika is not a major matter of concern.

“Am not even concerned about that. We shall give enough entertainment this year but it not our main focus. It is secondary. Our primary objective this year is Trade and Investment,” he said.

This is the second artist falling short of the VISA requirements yet already advertised at the convention. Last month, singer Eddy Yawe was denied VISA following an alleged over stay in Boston a decade ago.

With Yawe and Fameika off the list, the convention will now retain artistes; Dr Jose Chameleone, Sheebah Karungi and Pastor Wilson Bugembe as assured entertainers ahead of the September 1 fete

Fik Fameica’s Crew Said to have Beaten up a City DJ

The Ugandan music industry has been characterised by fights over the years.

The latest is that fast rising artiste Fik Fameica together with his dancer, Wembley Mo, beat up a city spin master known as DJ Fas Mashup alias DJ Fas Mo for a yet to be identified reason.

DJ Fas Mo, who is currently in hospital broke the news to his followers on social media where he posted photos of himself admitted in hospital. “Greetings my family I need your prayers because my life is in a very bad and scary condition right now. I was admitted to Hospital after being innocently beaten up by TEAM FIK FAMEICA, WEMBLEY MO, SAM KIKUMBA at a show I was working at. Why are deejays so disrespected. My brothers and sisters I need justice. This must stop,” he posted.

On learning this, fellow Djs,  Aludah and DJ Crim tried to calm the situation by involving all the parties but Fik Fameica was hesitant.

It is clear that Fik Fameica and his crew has in the recent past been behaving like hooligans based on their behaviour of splashing water onto fans during  performances.

Our efforts to reach Fik Fameica about the issue were futile by press time.

Fik Fameica Drops “Sconto” Watch Video

There is something about Fik Famaica’s voice that will make you dance till late. He has dropped yet another video, for the song; Sconto

From the start of the beats, you will get off your feet. Then watching the fun video with people dancing to Sconto, Statue will remind you of the days you played those games. Fik Fameica has come along way since he landed into the Ugandan Music industry. This is just more evidence that he will not be a one hit wonder, and neither will he be an upcoming artiste forever.

In the video, we also have them dancing a Dame Tu Cosita. So he mixes up the beats with his own feel. The best part however, is having a crowd of people do the routine. A large number of shirtless men  dance to the hit, and create an invasion like feel. Just the right amount of fun. You have really beaten us with this one. Awesome video. Click the link below;

Sheila Gashumba Denies allegations of her Relationship with Fik Fameica

NTV The Beat presenter Sheila Gashumba has come to speak out about allegations of being romantically involved with fast rising singer Fik Fameica. While speaking on the show, Sheilah denied the allegations after fellow co-hosts Daggy Nyce and Tracy posed the question.

Sheila and her dad

In her initial response, Sheila confessed that she is Fik Fameica’s big fan.

“Fik Fameica is my favourite artiste”, she stated.

However, she afterwards switched the attention to a caller on the line. After the breather, she then denied the allegations all together.

“I’m not anybody’s buggati. Do I look like a car? I’m only my dad’s property”.

Sheilah then claimed that she is single and not searching.

Fik Fameica gets Into Trouble with Kayunga Promoters

The latest we have received is that Fameica was booked to perform in Kayunga over the Easter weekend. The hot selling musician, however had many gigs lined up for that season meaning that he would get to Kayunga late.

Instead of informing the Kayunga promoter about this likelihood, Fameica and his manager Karma Ivan pocketed the money and first went to do other shows close to Kampala before heading to Kayunga.

Luck was not on their side as they reached the venue at 4am when most revelers had given up and went home. He performed for empty seats and the promoter asked for a refund which they haven’t delivered up to now.

This even reportedly resulted into the detention of his manager who was later released after promising that he would pay the refund later.

According to the promoters, Karma Ivan and the musician never abided to the agreed arrangement yet they were fully paid. Fameica was supposed to perform at 11pm but singing to empty seats was disrespecting to them.

Many big artistes have at one time been in trouble over missing to perform at shows they have received payment for. Some have been beaten up while others have been sued. This is because some are just plain greedy or bite off more than they can chew when making promises to perform at people’s shows.

Artistes and their managers tend to pocket money for bookings even when they know that they will not be available on the set show/concert dates. Usually when the time comes for their performances comes, they come up with all kinds of excuses.

This same ill habit has landed musician Fik Fameica into trouble.

Fik Fameica scoops collabo with Casper Nyovest

On Friday while at the MTN Full Moon party, singer Fik Fameica scooped a collaboration with South African hyped rapper, Cassper Nyovest.

Casper was in town on good Friday for a concert dubbed the full moon concert and sponsored by MTN. When international artists are in the country, Uganda Musicians are usually over their heads to get a collabo.

Fik Fameica was lucky enough to get his big break in his steadily rising career.

Well, he is not the only lucky one.

RnB Artiste Geosteady Blackman is in a callobo with Koredo Bello from Marvin music label, which also consists of Tiwa Savage and Don Jazz.

According to Geosteady, the video was shot by Sash Vybz in conjunction with  Montage images. The new single titled “I’m into you” was recorded by Altims of Marvins.

Fik Fameica set for Collabo with Cassper Nyovest

The newest boy. The freshest boy, Fik Fameica has some great news under his sleeve. The Ugandan youthful rapper has been blessed and will be cooking up something. News coming in confirms that he will be doing a collabo with South African artist, Cassper Nyovest.

Cassper was in the country performing at the MTN pulse full night party. This was on Good Friday at Garden city rooftop.  From what we know he has made appearances and performances in more African countries than any rapper. When he came to the country, he was impressed with what Fameica had to show. The two shared the stage together, and the rappers bonded.

STUDIO TIME

Fameica and the South African rapper headed straight for the studio to remake the song, Mafia. This is however not the first time this 24 year old has been requested for a collabo. Wiz kid, one of Nigeria’s finest also presented him with this offer.

The remix these two are doing is already getting the attention of many. Check out what various fans have to say about this clip.

Great job and congratulations Fik Fameica. May your talent lead you to great places.

Who Does It Best? The Spaghetti Hair!

This Spaghetti hairstyle has been a major trend for artists lately. From Rae Sremmurd, to Swae Lee, male musicians are having strands of hair falling off their heads. In Uganda, we have some major names having the hairstyle too. It is just a crunky and urban sort of short dreadlocks that the men are rocking currently. Here are some of the gentlemen who have embraced this hairstyle, what we are calling the spaghetti inspired hairstyle.

Gravity Omutujju

Gravity kept his as normal dreadlocks, and colored just the tips, a simple light brown. The base of the hair still remains and looks natural, and matches closely with the suit he has on.

Luga Flow artist, Gravitty rocking it
Fic Fameica

Fameica is a new guy that has bombed the Ugandan scenes with his special type of music. Fameica decided too shave the sides of his head to a low level, and mix up a color of brown and black. He only colored a few spaghetti strands and left the rest to their natural color.

Fil Fameica, a youthful artist
Tip Swizy

Tip Swizy kept his spaghetti an orange color rather than brown/ yellow. He also has his looking more like Rae Sremmurd’s. He also has his allover the head.

Fik Fameica and Apass new project with South African rapper

Rumor had it that budding Kutama star Fik Fameica was joining Muyenga based Swangz Avenue. This was after pictures of him signing papers in the boss’s office went viral but this has turned out to be fake news.

The real story is that Fik Fameica and Apass got a deal to collaborate with a SouthAfrican Rapper called Rouge.

Photos have surfaced of them shooting a video in Uganda for the upcoming project with her SouthAfrican crew.

After the success of Fik Fameica’s Kutama and Apass’ dididada they are soaring the heights.

We cant wait for this one.

Fik Fameica and Sheila Gashumba Romance is getting intense

The growing closeness between Sheila Gashumba and Fik Fameica is a secret no more. The two have been inseparable of late and they are often sighted together at various public events.

The latest is that the portrait of the two is the display picture on Fik Fameica’s  fans WhatsApp group. Are they defining their relationship already?

Other sources also informed us that Sheila Gashumba is at war with socialite Judith Heard because she is not willing to share the budding singer with anyone. In the past, these two stick thin women have brought out the claws over the men that they share including Sheila’s high school boyfriend.

As for her father, a renown city businessman Frank Gashumba, we worry for his sanity as he has constantly been vocal about his daughter’s choice of men.

Apparently with all the money and influence he has, he is raising his daughter to get married to a pilot. He claims that since he has raised his her as a literal princess, he expects only Kings to come for her hand. This however might fail him because she apparently is into ragged upcoming musicians with no real income.

Well at least she is still a princess to her daddy.

Is Fik Fameica a music copycat?

There is no denying Fik Fameica is currently Uganda’s fastest rising artist. He however has been branded the king of music copycat.
Many music critics say his music is pirated from international music stars. He recently copied ” Pepeta” from Tanzania’s singer, ChinBees and pasted it onto his new single”Mafia”, which might dominate airplay soon.

He boosts a chain of other hit songs like “Kutama” and “Byenyenya” among others.

Despite having a legion of fans,  critics still maintain that he has taken the copycat game way up high.

He says.

In his defense, Fameica attacked his critics saying that there is no problem with copying beats as long as his fans are enjoying the outcome.

Up coming Artist Don Atta accuses Fik Fameica of fraud

It is no secret the local Artiste Fik Fameica is one of the fastest growing talent in the country at the moment but this comes at a price.

The kutama star is now involved in a controversy where rising star Don Atta is accusing him of defrauding him of 300ugx

The amount was allegedly given in exchange for a collabo

Don Atta says Fik Fameica asked him for the money as an incentive to record a collabo together. However when it came to shooting the video Fik Fameica denied ever getting the money.

How it came to light

Youngster Don Atta decided to go to press with his accusation but has since been threatened by Fameica’s manager about not seeing a tomorrow in the industry. The manager also added that he is the only authority in charge of receiving money and issuing receipts.

We wonder what is next for this up coming Artist.
