The end of an era for one of Kenya’s most beloved digital power couples has transitioned into a new chapter of co-parenting. After nearly a decade of marriage, Timothy Kimani (Njugush) and Celestine Ndinda officially parted ways in 2025. The pair, who wed in a vibrant ceremony in December 2016, first sparked public concern when they remained silent during their ninth wedding anniversary in December 2025.
Njugush has since clarified that the decision to finalize the divorce was a deliberate, gradual process. He revealed that the couple opted for a period of separation first, a strategic move designed to gently introduce their two young sons, Tugi and Toria, to the changing family dynamic before formalizing the split in court.
Separate Lives, Shared Responsibilities
The transition has seen a change in living arrangements, with reports indicating that the comedian moved out of the family’s Ruiru residence last year following the initial breakup. Celestine remains at the Ruiru home with the children, while Njugush maintains an active presence in their lives through frequent visits.
Despite the personal shifts, Celestine continues to share glimpses of her journey as a mother. On Sunday, April 26, 2026, she was spotted enjoying a high-energy morning at Karura Forest with her firstborn, Tugi. The duo participated in a 5-kilometer run as part of a local event celebrating the London Marathon.
A “Yummy” Celebration at Karura
The outing was a lighthearted moment for the family, as mother and son joined thousands of Kenyans for a London Marathon watch party. Celestine shared a playful video of the event’s unique rewards—special “biscuit medals” given to the participants.
“Our medals today… yummy medals,” she captioned a clip of herself enjoying the edible trophy after their run. The appearance underscored her focus on maintaining a sense of normalcy and joy for her children as the family navigates their new reality away from the limelight of their former joint brand.
