Recuperating Ohangla star, Lady Maureen is back on the interweb, looking stable and urging fans to feel free and pay her a visit.

The music sensation was discharged from hospital recently, after making good progress health-wise and is slowly gaining her strength while home with her family.

Real names, Maureen Achieng Otiu recorded an online video, looking stronger and surrounded by family.

Speaking in her local dialect, the Benga musician, said she looks forward to releasing several songs once she gets back on her feet.

I want to release a new song.

Lady Maureen wants to thank God as well as sing about former Kenyan prime minister, Raila Odinga in her productions.

Addressing her fans, the singer affirmed that she is fairing on well and is determined to stay alive.

The mother of 5 called out women who tend to pin the blame on men after getting pregnant insisting that the fault actually starts with the woman.

Kenyan vocal politician, Mike Mbuvi Sonko is a grandfather to two girls from his first daughter, Saumu Mbuvi.

Saumu welcomed her new bundle of joy on Sunday, the 8th of March, with lover, Senator Anwar Lotiptip.

Her dad, Mike Sonko was present to witness the new life birthed by his daughter, getting the privilege to be called grandfather again.

The politician was overcome by emotion on setting eyes on his grandchild and could not help but burst into tears.

Sonko spent some good time with the newborn, whom he held closely while gracefully smiling at the cameras – you could tell he was over the moon.

As Lois Wyse once said, “Grandchildren are the dots that connect the lines from generation to generation.” I have just visited my daughter who bore me a second grandchild, I couldn’t help but thank God for this great and humbling blessing.

Details on DJ Evolve´s health status after third surgery, emerge

Hospitalized DJ Evolve is slowly recuperating after his third surgery recently.

The entertainer is still undergoing needed medical procedures to hopefully see him get back on his two feet and live normally as before.

Close ally, DJ Shock divulged more details on the B-Club deejay´s health status, affirming that Felix Orinda is responding well to treatment.

Apparently, only the mother is allowed to go in and have close contact with the hospitalized DJ as other visitors cannot go past the door.

He is still recovering but only his mother is allowed to be close to him. Other visitors wave from the outside of the glass. This was after his third surgery so that the wound can heal as quickly as possible. His mother has to wear a mask and apron when she enters his ward.

A directive and measure that was put in place, prior to the Coronavirus pandemic in the country.

Doctors believe that with less interruption, the deejay´s wounds will heal faster and ensure his quick recovery.

Not to do with COVID-19. This was the protocol even before it was in the country.

DJ Shock further disclosed that the recuperating deejay is now able to move his arms, what is pending are the legs´ mobility which he believes will take shape soon.

Yes, the nurses clean the wound every 5 days, as he now has movement in his arms, eventually his legs will respond as well. I believe too he will make a full recovery.

However, what is of concern to the DJ´s family is the escalating hospital bill that is just about Ksh 13 million now.

Kenyan sassy actress, Brenda Wairimu wears many hats which have seen her scale the heights and bag multiple awards but this she achieved after hitting rock bottom.

The dashing beauty recently scooped two awards: LIPFF 2019 Best Actress – Kenya and WFA 2020 Best Actress.

However, it was through her agonies at the time, that she became so influential in the acting field.

You know how they say artists perform their best, when they are at their worst?
These trophies mean a lot to me, its taken almost a decade to get here…and its true, when my personal life was at its worst, my art thrived, it was/is my escape.

Tragedies

Just when her acting career began to take shape, tragedy after another flew in. First, Brenda lost her dad then soon after she bid her mom goodbye.

Consequently, her relationship to Kenyan rapper, Juliani was rocky and the target for trolls with false reports clouding the actual truth.

I lost my dad when we began the shooting of KONA, my mom after that. During Disconnect and especially SUBIRA, my relationship was taking blow after blow, and a lot of misinformation was going round about it.

Escape route

Fortunate enough, acting became her bedrock, it helped her heal the wounds and overcome the baggage her personal life had.

Playing a character whose life was laid bare on a script and whose end result was certain, became a blessing in her life.

It was a blessing to be able to be someone else, whose life was laid down as words on a script, whose outcome was certain.

To cut the long story short, the budding actress admitted that artists are human too – they mourn, they make mistakes but a million plus eyes judge them instead.

Her plea being that: celebrities and personalities are not super-humans and the public should give them an easy time because behind the cameras, they battle a lot as well.

I think what I am trying to say is artists are human too, life happens to us, we love, we mourn, we make mistakes, and we do it all in front of a million and one eyes. This is very cliche to say, I know.

Closing off, she expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity to use art and film as her escape route.

In the wake of the viral COVID-19, sensitization of netizens across the globe is at the top of the list, on how to prevent it, detect it and respond to it.

Not just the medical fraternity, nor government officials, nor the victims themselves… the list is endless. Music artistes are taking advantage of their talent too, to spread the message across and beyond.

Gospel artiste, Jimmy Gait was in the loop and released his new track ´Corona´ that seeks to educate and inform people on the spread, handling and prevention of the deadly virus.

Speaking to Word Is, the gospel musician explained the reason behind the new song.

I have talked to some friends who do not understand how to protect themselves from the virus and even don´t understand what Coronavirus is all about. As an artiste, I need to use my talent and be creative. ´If the government is creating awareness about the pandemic, why not me as an artiste?

Adding:

I want to use my talent by informing people about the virus and how they can protect themselves.

However, the singer, who is known for controversy, elicited mixed reactions with the new track.

Majority came out to laud him for the courage to sensitize people on the global pandemic, bashing reports that he is chasing clout.

Kenyan high-flying hip-hop artist, E-Sir, left the world in shock after his death 17 years ago, a day like yesterday.

The 16th of March 2003, the Swahili musician bid us goodbye in a fatal road accident along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway.

Yesterday marked his 17th death anniversary and fellow hip-hop artist, Nameless commemorated a legacy that still stands to date.

The two were driving in the same vehicle on the fateful day, but E-Sir, real names, Issah Mmari Wangui never made it.

Celebrating his life, Nameless mourned his late friend – 17 years down the line but still not able to come to terms with it.

Issah was gifted and passionate in music, something he never took for granted – Nameless attests.

If only????… Missing you bro.Today it’s been 17years since your left us with your inspiring legacy!! You understood synergy at a very young age. You understood the market very fast, you understood your gifts and passion and used them well.

Despite not physically being around, Nameless admitted that E-Sir´s fans still love him to date.

Diamond Platnumz dragged to court by landlord!

Diamond Platnumz has been accused of owing one, Maulid Wande Tsh 337 million which he says will cover the unpaid rent and destroyed properties at the former WCB offices in Sinza.

Although the singer was not present during the hearing which went down at a court in Dar Es Salaam; Diamond Platnumz was represented by his lawyer Gerald Hamisi who revealed that his client was stuck in Europe and because of the current Corona virus outbreak, he wouldn’t be able to jet back until all flights are allowed to operate again.

He went further to add that he had already reached out to the singers manager who assured him; that they were working on having Diamond Platnumz back home as soon as possible.

Diamond Platnumz is being sued for the damages caused in the room where the studio had been set up!

According to Wande’s lawyer, the WCB CEO has been playing games with the landlord and from the look of things; the singer and his team seem reluctant in terms of paying for the damages caused while they were living in Wande’s house before moving to the Benzi beach mansion!

The hearing has however been moved up to March 18 where the judge is expected to give his final ruling!

Sauti Sol´s Bien Aime Baraza and his fiancée, Chiki Kuruka had their nuptials early in the month but in an invites-only event that left many scarred.

The wedding dates in the first place, were meant to confuse the public and avoid giving any sorts of clues to individuals outside the couple´s inner circle.

Either way, the wedding went down as planned at the Pallet Cafe, Lavington, without the public´s involvement on their big day.

Many have since held grudges against them for lack of an invite to their major step in life. However, Bien categorically had this to tell them:

Only those who know me as Alusa, not Bien (were invited). My message to those who are mad at me because they were not invited is, they should hold their weddings and don´t invite me. I am no longer interested in attending weddings because I have attended so many of them. It was my way of celebrating my commitment to my wife.

Fortunate enough, the wedding brought together parents from both sides in what was considered a success.

We had a good time with both families. My dad got the opportunity to interact with Chiki´s dad. They now know each other.

In the current day and age, star-studded and lavish weddings are the order of the day especially among celebrities.

Please don´t do a wedding to please your parents. Do it depending on the size of your pockets, how much you can afford. A wedding is the beginning of your life. According to him, it makes no sense to have to run into debts just to finance a wedding that is meant to please family, friends and the world at large.

Gospel singer Gloria Muliro has come a long way and is now ready to open up about her past life; that includes her weight loss journey, divorce and life after marriage.

Speaking to a popular Sunday Magazine, Gloria Muliro for the first time opened up about her battle with self esteem! Well, all women struggle with this at one point of their lives but when handled well everything works out just fine.

According to Gloria Muliro, she has been avoiding sugar for two years now and unlike before she now exercises for 30 minutes which has greatly contributed to her weight loss. About her self esteem issues, Gloria went on to say;

But I overcame by getting to know who I am in Christ and learning to love, appreciate and define myself. When I realised I don’t have to be what people think or say I am. I am who God says I am.

Divorce life

According to Gloria Muliro she has not been in a position where she feels comfortable discussing her divorce with Pastor Omba! She said:

No one looks forward to a divorce. I did not see it coming and when it came it was really unfortunate. But it is here. Will I stay down and hit myself and ask why I had to divorce? I did not want it to come to that but it did somehow. So life has to go on. The best I can do is be easy on myself.”

Now that she is a single woman, Gloria Muliro says she has no regrets since she did everything she could to save her marriage; but life seems to have had other plans for her!

“When you are at a place where you know that you did everything you could to make your marriage work and it did not, when you are sure that there was nothing else left for you to try because you did everything, if it still does not work you can’t blame yourself. I can only pat myself and say, ‘Well done, girl! You did your best!”

Just when word was rife that Mama Dangote and her young lover were no more, the two have come out to trash the reports – all smiles and matched up.

The aging granny had seemingly had differences with Uncle Shamte some 2 months ago, no longer uploading photos while together and sending cryptic messages our way.

She advised the masses to be careful not to lay their trust and happiness in mortal beings because they would eventually get disappointed.

Word making rounds on social media is that the lady has been influencing her son not to settle down! This is because she makes the decisions of which woman is good enough to date her son!

Eric Omondi has affirmed that ex-lovers, Tanasha and Diamond are both doing well, in their separate lives.

The Kenyan comedy star can probably be described being one at the heart of Diamond and Tanasha´s relationship.

Calling him an ´insider´ would probably not sit as well – but that´s my point.

In a recent interview, Eric gave an update on the celebrities since they are ´both his friends.´

You know they are both my friends. I have spoken to both of them and they are ok.

Bahati finally settles differences with step-mum and younger brother (Video)

Gospel kid, Bahati took a trip to his stepmother´s home in Kamba land where he met his younger brother, a primary school student, whose hardship touched his heart.

Bahati last visited his step-mum´s home when his biological father passed on in December 2007. Quick maths gives us a total of 12 years and some 2 months.

If you´d left anyone the age of a newborn, by now they are completing their primary education.

That is Bahati´s situation with his younger brother Benjamin, alias Benja whom he last saw when he was barely 3 years of age.

Taking the road trip with his wifey, Diana Marua, the couple met up with the singer´s stepsisters who then directed them to their mother´s home in Yatta, Machakos county.

On getting there, couple of introductions were made, as Bahati´s other brother, Ndirang´u was also present.

Diana then took a walk with Ndirang´u and Benja – whom she now calls her ´younger brother´ – inquiring on his well-being and his studies.

Benja admitted that times were tough but Diana encouraged him to work hard and not despair because school will eventually pay back and Benja will be able to take care of his mother as she ages.

Bahati on the other hand, spent time with his step mother, discussing about Benja´s needs for school. The step mum revealed Benja is a well-behaved boy who asks the mum not to worry too much about his schooling.

I went on my knees to pray for him and he got a sponsor. He is in boarding school, he comes over during mid-term. Benja is a good boy, he always tells me not to worry about his education. Even when I have nothing to give him, he still works hard but I always pass by the school to check on him. I try my best.

However, she told Bahati that he only has one pair of school uniform and one pair of shoes but no text books and school material.

A touched Bahati promised to take care of that.

The entire family regrouped, sharing light moments and reminiscing days when Benja was just but a kid.

Bahati and Diana asked that Benja and the step-mom take a visit to their Nairobi home some day and just say hi.

The gospel singer had just last week exposed the broken ties with his step-mother who called him a devil worshiper. However, he acknowledged the´importance of forgiveness´.

One of the greatest lessons that God has taught me in 2020, is the importance of forgiveness. As you grow as a man or young person, you need to embrace forgiveness. Because, only when you forgive is, when you open doors to success.

In the face of new evidence, there always turns out to be controversies and a myriad reports trying to explain what happened, how it happened and why it happened.

Tanasha and Diamond´s split late last month was a hot cake, as bloggers, YouTubers, publications, trolls…name it! tried to establish reasons behind the breakup.

The breakup was true, yes but some ´facts´ surrounding it are baseless. This Tanasha Donna affirmed on her Insta stories, bashing reports she terms as ´Fake news.´

Other reports doing the rounds are Tanasha´s Toyota Prado´s repossession by her mum-in-law, Sandra Dangote following her breakup with Diamond.
