Captain Otoyo spills the beans on what killed Othuol Othuol (Video)

The truth behind Othuol Othuol’s sudden demise has come to light after fellow comedian Captain Otoyo walked fans through Othuol’s last days.

Speaking to Milele FM, Otoyo disclosed that Othuol’s long journey began roughly 2 years ago when he was diagnosed with TB and had to strictly take medication for a good 60 days.

However, being an alcohol addict, Othuol reached a point where he turned to alcoholism, ditching his medication.

The testament

This left Jalang’o, Sandra Dacha and Otoyo pissed off, warning Othuol that his life was at stake and only he could take care of it. So the three shopped for Othuol’s food and everything needed for his well-being and even raised funds for his medical expenses.

Unfortunately, as time went by, Othuol’s health greatly deteriorated with people having the assumption he had contracted HIV/AIDS.

What many did not know is, the deceased was not an employee at Churchill. Therefore did not earn a monthly salary, rather would only get paid for the shows he stages and that’s it. 

However, that did not mean Othuol would die on a hospital bed. Comedians in Kenya were open to help in any way.

So whenever Othuol’s medical issues came up, they would all gladly raise funds to cater for his hospital bills. “We never neglected him,” affirmed Captain Otoyo.

Eventually, his health condition worsened, occasionally suffering serious migraines and was therefore rushed to KNH for an MRI and diagnosed with brain tumor. Othuol was attended to and once his condition had stabilized, allowed to return home.

He had been booked to return to hospital on a later date, as comedians continued to raise funds for his brain surgery.

So on the due date, Othuol was rushed to KNH only to find doctors on strike. Forcing them to rush him to a local hospital at Athi River, next to his residence. But the medical staff did not have the resources.

Othuol had to wait for doctors at KNH to resume duty, where he was rushed to, but unfortunately, never even made it to surgery.

What pains Otoyo most, is how the public is quick to blame comedians and close friends for allegedly neglecting the ailing man when they were actually there for him.

Jalang’o responds to claims he denied Othuol Othuol KSh15k for treatment

Following stand-up comedian Othuol Othuol’s demise, his last messages with friends and family emerged, among them, a screenshot of his last plea to a friend who never answered his urgent call.

Something that pointed fingers at Jalang’o for allegedly neglecting a good friend and fellow comedian when he needed him most.

As seen in the screenshot, Othuol had indicated he was still unwell and would be going back to Kenyatta National hospital for a 2nd MRI and would need financial assistance of about KSh15k for the same.

“I will appreciate ile kidogo utaweza kunitumia,” concluded his message.

The person on the other end however only got to see the message after news of Othuol’s passing on, went viral. Something that has left a bitter taste among Kenyans.

Jalang’o responds

Word reached the media personality soon enough, bashing the minds behind the allegations, wondering what he ever did to the person who had decided he was the one who denied Othuol KSh15k.

“You see nowadays am so used to being associated with anything. I woke up and saw a blog’s headline that shocked me. Woow…do you know how you sit somewhere and wonder what you ever did to people?” Jalas posed.

“They always look for how to bring you down. But am used to it now and it doesn’t bother me anymore,” he continued.

Spilling details of several fund raisers they had as comedians, led by Sandra Dacha, even before Othuol’s passing on. So how someone had the audacity to allege that Jalas denied the ailing comedian 15k left him in shock.

“But if you decide to associate me with the screen shot who am I to change your thoughts?,” questioned Jalang’o.

Because for him, his life with Othuol will never change, having been the first person to build Othuol into the brand he became until his demise.

To the extent that Othuol Othuol decided to have a green suit like Jalango’s just to express his gratitude.

Turns out that Betty Kyallo, Jalang’o and Kamene Goro have been working on a new project that has finally turned out to be a rap remix that has instead stirred controversy.

The three among other close allies, featured in the jam dubbed Sikai Chini that premiered barely hours ago, as the former K24 journalist makes her debut into the industry.

Captured in the song’s video, they alternate in the singing of the chorus that sends out a cryptic message.

However, forget about who is featured and what the message the song seeks to send home, because the kind of reception the song has attracted among fans is nothing but disgust.

Angry netizens called out the ‘newbies’ in the entertainment sector for alleging the new jam stands as one of the biggest hit-songs of 2020 while in real sense, the entire song is a total waste of time.

Some compared it to Stivo Simple Boy’s kind of music and lauded him for producing much better hit-songs compared to these three who had nothing to show for their so-called ‘talent’.

After years of gracing our TV screens and radio airwaves, several renowned media personalities have expressed interest in vying for particular political seats come the next general elections.

Some who already started their journey but got knocked off along the way. Others hopeful that politics will bring them fulfillment as they desire to see change in different parts of the country. Let’s kick off;

1. Jalang’o

The lad who rose to fame through his comical stints before joining the radio field that has since opened numerous doors for him, indicated that his radio job at Kiss FM will be his last employment. As he now changes focus to politics, targeting the Langata parliamentary seat come 2022.

Kibe Andy is not new to politics. The former Kiss FM morning show co-host contested for the the Langata parliamentary seat in 2013, but never got to see the light of day. However, indicating he is still debating whether to go back into the political field or not.

Churchill Show stand-up comedian YY took many by surprise after recently taking over Jalango’s interview where he was the guest.

YY born Oliver Otieno started by narrating how he had to ran away from the hands of his no-nonsense uncle in the middle of the night, in order to pursue to his dream career – comedy.

Having to spend nights hopping from a friend’s single-bedroom to another, because he just had nowhere else to stay.

Doing up to roughly 16 episodes on Churchill show before he could get aired on TV. That meant he had to survive on his friends for several months until he made a career breakthrough.

Which he eventually did after staging a show on Churchill where he was impersonating fellow comedians, that immediately went viral.

That is when an excited Jalang’o asked the 28 year old to imitate one or two comedians including DJ Shiti, Owago Onyiro, Fred Omondi among others.

Only to soon after imitate Jalang’o himself that saw him kick his feet in the air full of excitement, giving YY the honors to take over the show for several minutes.

You’d actually mistake the interview for a comedy show, with YY being the main act and all that Jalang’o needed to do was make sense the humor and laugh his lungs out.

Amina Chao was marking another year in her life, a milestone her beloved, Jalas decided would no go unnoticed after splashing thousands on her big day.

Jalango’s first weed smoking experience that turned out a mess (Video)

Popular Kenyan comedian and radio personality, Jalang’o has come to narrate his first weed smoking experience that turned out to be a dangerous stunt.

During their morning show on Kiss FM, the MC recalled how one of his friends back in school introduced him to the illegal drug during a toilet escapade.

The narration

Making fun of the situation, Jalang’o and his friend opted for the toilets to avoid getting caught by the administration, and had to develop a strategy on how to carefully go about it.

The rule was; he takes a puff, blows it into the toilet, then peeps out if any teacher was coming. It went on and on, with the two switching the puff until after several puffs, when he messed up.

So what happened, the weed had already started working on the comedian who lost track of the strategy and at one point, took a puff and instead of blowing it into the toilet, blew it outside then peeped into the toilet.

The rest was history.

His story left a dear Kamene laughing her lungs out at how stupid these young boys were and what happened to them later on, might only be a story never to be told.

The basic assumption was that being a Kenyan cool kid born to one of the country’s now most talked about individuals, Kahush would be all bossy and flossy whenever in public but just like you and me, Kamene Goro was left awestruck.

According to Kamene, he was very well disciplined, well brought up, with very polished English, very humble and kind and this left her perturbed.

“I was so impressed with how he is good mannered,” she jerked. Her co-host, Jalas on the other end elaborated further recalling a time he sat with Kahush and had a chat with him and to the comedian’s utter surprise, the kid did not care about his dad or who he is.

“He’s not his father’s son. He’s him,” explained Jalas. Surprisingly, Kahush was not the kind who would brag about his family background or whose child he is, instead, he identified himself as he is, so humbled and very respectful towards people.

This saw the two Kiss FM hosts attack children of individuals who are not even presidents, but always brag about where they come from and are very rude and indiscipline.

“He says that his music and his dad’s politics don’t mix. He leads his own life. But there are people here whose dad’s are just MCAs and they go bragging all over, feeling like they can step on everyone else. Usituletee!” Jalang’o loudly bashed.

Jalang’o had Kenyan screen heartthrob Pascal Tokodi on set, flashing opulence for a better part of the interview before sending the actor breaking down to tears.

Susumila comes clean on being ‘The Mombasa Cartel’ and his close ties with Governor Hassan Joho (Video)

Prominent Mombasa-based artiste, Susumila has finally come out to address accusations of using black magic and dark power to bag major gigs in Mombasa and manipulating the Governor on which Coastal artiste to support.

Soon after Hassan Joho took political office around 2013, he appointed Susumila as one of his ambassadors, something that rose his celebrity status in the Coastal town and that has since seen the artist bag positions of power and closely linked to the Mombasa Governor.

His power saw most of his music get financed by the politician as other artistes came out to claim he was ‘The Mombasa Cartel’ blocking their deals with Governor 001. During his interview with Jalang’o, the artiste finally addressed the claims.

The father of 4 who named his last child after the Governor, blasted Mombasa artistes for being too ungrateful and always lamenting even when someone helps them out. According to him, he has worked with so many creatives even behind the scenes and that is all that matters.

Speaking of being the one who handles cheques dished out by Joho to support Mombasa artistes, Susumila stated;

There is a lot that happens behind the scenes so I am usually the one given the money among other persons, because we are the ones who know what happens on the ground. We are the ones to decide which director or production crew an artiste will work with but the artistes become very choosy and that is the problem.

Having co-founded the popular 001 music record label, Susumila admitted that Joho had funded, through him, a couple of music projects by several artistes including Willy Paul, Ally B, Kelechi, Nadia Mukami, Masauti among others.

Joho works with so many artistes so what he does is to give us the money, then we decide from there.

The Swahili artiste seemed to agree with Jalang’o that there are barriers put by these cartels to prevent other artistes from accessing Governor Joho directly and that they are the only connection to get to him.

Popularly known for his signature in comedy, Jalang’o would more often than not be mistaken for a guy who jokes too much and is never serious with life but when he actually means business, trust you me, he does.

Most captivating was a Peptang ad he did in collabo with Genge rapper Mejja that you might at first mistake for a movie trailer.

Almost exactly like most scenes especially in this Italian mafia movies complete with those intimidating bodyguards dressed in all-black sharp suits and a helicopter for the main act.

The Big Boss, this time round a no-nonsense lady alights the helicopter to meet face-to-face with a straight-faced Jalang’o in what seemed like a power deal.

A bossy Jalas complete with his team of well-built bodyguards inspects the package which is but mangoes, bites a juicy one and immediately storms the place with one big laugh before signing the deal.

Then it’s Mejja’s turn and he grabs his popular tumbler, pours in some fruit juice and into his mouth, praising the brand for its original blends. Less of what the business was all about and more about the entire mood, all at a different level. Be the judge;

Kamene Goro has time and again been praised for her high work ethic and discipline levels when it comes to work.

Something her Kiss Fm co-host, Jalang’o affirmed during one of their morning sessions. Kamene however this morning painfully revealed how all her hard work was literally going to waste with as Coronavirus totally shrinked all her plans for the year.

Then Corona hit and everything was crushed. All the plans I had, a new car, a new house, upgrading my life, taking care of my extended family, all of that came to a screeching halt. And then nikaingia survival mode. We kept pushing work but I had nothing to show for it. Roughly a month ago, my life took a total flip.

The multi-talented personality’s YouTube channel has only been a blessing in disguise, being a risk enough to start his own show amidst a pandemic, but his goals were never going to get crushed.

Being a man well known to reward his successes, the kid recently made a handsome purchase of a posh luxury Range Rover Velar, which many would opt to refer as a black beast. An edition estimated to be upwards of KSh15M.

Information he let out during his recent road trip to Kisumu county ahead of the late Kevin Oliech’s burial on Saturday. Despite the diverse climatic changes on his way to and fro, we must admit this guy is playing in a different league.

Churchill Show’s only Somali comedienne, Nasra Yusuf has defied the odds of her culture to rub shoulders with some of the biggest comedians and influencers in the country but to date, her father has always been against her career path.

Despite showing the skill and talent while at a very young age, the Somali culture almost became a stumbling block for a young Nasra Yusuf who found her place in the comedy art and ran with it.

Telling her story on Jalango TV, the Somali beauty admitted that unlike her dad, her mom has always been very supportive of her art in comedy. As for her dad, even though she has gained massive recognition from the art, he never wants to hear anything to do with her daughter becoming a comedian and has even never watched her shows.

A topic she has never sat down with her dad to discuss because that will only light a fire she might never be able to put off. Many would ask why? “My dad expects me to be the typical Somali girl, to sit at home, find a husband and get married off. That’s it!” narrated Nasra Yusuf.

People often poke fun at Kiss FM presenter Felix Odiwuour, better known as Jalang’o, because of his terrible dancing style and now an online comedian has decided to take it a notch higher.

Fans and haters of the renowned media personality claim that he dances the same exact way to different songs and it seems that is what pushed Crazy Kennar, to make a video that demonstrates how Jalang’o dances.

A few hours ago, the comic whose real name is Kennedy Odhiambo uploaded a video that shows him mimicking the radio personality’s dancing style and it has left netizens in stitches.

In the video, Crazy Kennar is seen dancing to different jams, including Mugithi, while maintaining the same dancing style where flaps his hands and thumps his feet on the ground.

The video elicited mixed reactions from social media users. While some thanked him for the comic relief, other took a swipe at Jalang’o for lacking good dancing skills.

Jalang’o has been missing on Twitter for several weeks now and it turns out his account got hacked long time ago.

For those keen enough, you’ll notice, that unlike his Kiss 100 counterpart, Kamene or even other media personalities, Jalas never seems active on Twitter, only on Kiss 100 Kenya’s Twitter page. Many would ask why and probably it’s time we got an answer.

Taking to his Instagram page, yesterday, the Kiss 100 presenter revealed that despite having a verified account, it has been hacked for quite a long time now, proving it difficult for him to get his hands on the malicious characters behind the move.

A keen glance at these two accounts screen grabs, you will realize there is no difference. Look at everything, from the username to the twitter handle, to the top image, it’s basically a replica. Yes, hackers are that smart and that’s why it gets hard to tell the difference unless you have been a victim or understand them better.

The two accounts are actually different but one is the original one, the other is not. The fake account has been in good business since January 2020 while the actual account was sent to sleep, with the comedian divulging that the parody account has been duping netizens with all sorts of lucrative deals, in his name.

Mr Odiwuor cried out that he tried everything in his capacity to get hold of whoever is behind the malice but to no avail.

“Cheating is the worst form of disrespect!” Jalang’os advice to married couples

Jalang’o is human. Yes he has made his mistakes and learn from them. Just a few months ago he was exposed for cheating on his wife (water under the bridge) and since then the radio presenter has not only been serving us some good wisdom.

Well at his age the radio presenter has been using his life experiences to help youths who take pride in cheating on their partners. Speaking to Kamene Goro on Monday, 17 August Jaang’o for the first time admitted that cheating on a partner is a low move.

No you don’t get patted on the back for it nor rewarded unless for cheating – unless the mother in law has a hand in it! No?

He went on to add that despite many wanting to hate on the cheating partner; it is also important to understand that there are reasons that lead to cheating. Kiss FM presenter Michelle Kamene Goro has finally responded to claims of being intimate with her co-host Felix Odiwuor.

A few hours ago, a fan asked her whether the two of them had a sexual relationship since they seem to be very close. He might have implied that there is more than meets the eye between the two.

She, however, did not seem amused with the question and categorically stated that the two of them were not doing the nasty.

“No. and we just finally accept that a man and a woman can work together and just be friends….let me never have to answer this puny question again!” Kamene wrote.

Jalang’o, whose real name is Felix Odiwuor, joined Kiss FM in July following the exit of Andrew Kibe who has also had to answer to claims of having a thing with Kamene.

Artcaffe has been making headlines for a better part of yesterday, after launching an #ARTofthecity competition, calling upon creatives to help them jazz up their take-away coffee cups and stand a chance to win.

Well, offer on the table was anyone who had exceptional art skills would stand a chance to get free coffee for a period with exhibition of the art work or an internship.

Jalango’s decision to sponsor Wakimani’s education is thoughtful

Yesterday, media personality Felix Odiwour, better known as Jalang’o announced that he would sponsor comedian Paul Ogutu join Daystar University and if you ask me, that was a very thoughtful move.

Ogutu, who is popularly known as Wakimani, had expressed his desire to go back to school and explained that would help him rebuild his life after a 3-year hiatus from the local entertainment entertainment scene.

His world fell apart when he was blamed for the death of Emmanuel Makori, alias Ayieya, since he was the one who was driving when the latter met his death in a road accident.

According to Wakimani, Ayieya’s family took him to court and demanded that he compensates them to the tune of Ksh 21 million for causing the death of their sole bread winner.

His colleagues also started avoiding him and claimed that he ‘sacrificed’ Ayieya for his own gain. Wakimani lost many emceeing gigs as a result.

This weighed down on him and caused him to be depressed since no one wanted to listen to his side of the story. Eventually, he quit Churchill Show.

But now, things are starting to fall back in place thanks to well wishers and people like Jalang’o who have decided to hold his hand through this difficult period.

By sponsoring his first year of education, Jalang’o is playing a huge role in helping him bring his life together and snap out of his current state.

I’m sure by the time he completes the course, he would have known the ins and outs of the media industry and it will be easy for him to secure a permanent job.
