“Wakikosea lazima waambiwe” Willy Paul calls out his management weeks after dropping his ‘songs of Solomon’

Singer Willy Paul is on a mission to promote his new album. This is judging from most of his stunts i.e posts on social media which confirm that Bwana mkunaji is disappointed with how fans received his songs of Solomon.

So far he has called out local artists for refusing to show any support for this album; yet they will be the first ones to post him when he dies. For this reason, the former gospel artist went on to warn these artists from ever mourning if anything happened.

Through his IG page, Willy Paul went on to post saying;

Apart from the post shared above, Willy Paul has gone ahead to write another detailed post where he ‘calls out’ his management; for allegedly refusing to let him have 10 songs on his album.

According to Willy Paul, these same people he works for are the reason he does not have any gengetone on his album. This is apparently after they warned him against featuring these young boys as they have no content in their music.

However having seen how they changed the game in the music industry; Willy Paul feels that his management misled him by asking him not to work with these boys. Through his instagram page, he wrote;

Hey everyone, today I feel very sad..something I’ve kept to myself since I released my album ..anyway, #SONGSOFSOLOMONALBUM has only 9 songs… truth is… songs zinafaa kuwa 10 but unfortunately my management said no to the 10th song.. they said there’s no way watakubali niimbe na wasani wa gengetone. That’ hao wasee hawana sense kwa songs zao!! Surely how can one say that kwa mtu mwenye anatry kuweka food kwa meza?? The same gengetone artists wenye wanakataa niimbe nao ndio walifanya kenya ikasahau west african songs na watu wakaanza kufocus na mziki yetu.. this is unacceptable sio poa!!! Yes I have a contract with my team but wakikosea lazima waambiwe and looking down on people isn’t right!!! So mimi sai Niko ready ku take hio risk… they’ve threatened to sue me if I go ahead and add the song to the album..

Having seen the rant online, most of Willy Paul’s fans decided to call him out for having double standards. This is because Willy Paul has never shown any support to fellow artists yet he expects them to treat his case like royalty.

Willy Paul is disappointed with how artists in the country behave. Well the singer claims that these artists often feel it’s better to post and support international; or Tanzanian artist applauding them for their job well done. But when it comes to local artists they ghost.

This comes weeks after releasing his Songs of Solomon album and surprisingly no Kenyan artist even stepped in to show their support. Speaking about this in his well detailed post, Willy Paul went on to refer to these artists as selfish and jealous. He went on to add that the only time they actually appreciate a person is after he/she is dead.

Willy Paul recently took time off to visit Mathare slums and the scenes that unfolded remain to be told.

The gospel artiste is sure an interesting guy, having headed to the slums under heavy security, for reasons best known to him.

The journey

It starts with a ride from Kenya’s capital in a fleet of cars with the Mercedes he was riding in, leading the pack.

Lights on and beaming, you’d easily mistake this for a politician’s escort.

As he now nears the informal settlement, boda boda riders were already on their marks. You’d think they had been given prior notice about his arrival.

Horns hooting, the crowd slowly gathering, public service vehicles trying to find their way out of the mess, it was all but commotion.

Boda boda riders took time off their hustle to get ahead of the fleet, clearing the way for the popular artiste whose visit to the slum area was golden to its residents.

Until he arrives at the scene, with residents each fighting to get a hold of what Pozze was dishing out.

Some walked away with notes of cash. Others armed themselves with free masks while a section that was not able to get through to him, walked away empty-handed.

It nearly turned into a fight, forcing his security personnel to rush to the scene and secure the artist to safety.

It got to a point that police sirens had to be put on to scare the gathering crowd away. Going deep into the slum area, with kids turning up in huge numbers, some just to see the artist, others hoping to walk away with something small.

His security team was ever on the run, having sometimes to splash into the muddy pool waters to move the crowd away from the musician’s car.

Either way, residents who were able to make it to the scene and grab themselves one or two, live to remember the day.

Shakilla has for the first time shed light on her relationship with Willy Paul, to the extent of visiting his residence even in his absence.

The two who are no longer quite in talking terms after an ugly incident at his residence last month, turn out to actually have a long history together.

The untold story

During her recent interview, the 19-year old narrated how it all started between them before ending in an ugly night scandal.

“When we first met, our first interaction was just chats on Instagram and we never exchanged contacts,” Shakilla revealed.

However, it so happened that on that fateful night when she visited Willy Paul, he was the one who actually called her over and she did not understand how he got access to her contact.

But she still showed up at his residence. Only to find out the singer is away but patiently waited on him, after being given a warm reception by a Tanzanian light-skin beauty in his house.

“The babe welcomed me in and told me Willy Paul had been waiting for me and that he would be back home in a few minutes,” Shakilla revealed.

So Willy Paul was alerted of Shakilla’s arrival in his house, minutes later driving in with his boys and the whole scene turned dramatic.

“Him and his boys harassed me, forced me to put in my phone passwords, started deleting stuff on my phone, screen-recording and sending stuff to himself from my phone,” a bitter Shakilla ranted.

“I was set-up!” she claimed. Warning the secular artiste against bringing in her parents and family into their personal issues otherwise he will not like how it will end.

We all live in a time and age where negative news sell more than the positive ones. People will want to know how much debt you are drowning in, which celebrity is cheating on their wives, who dumped who etcetra.

Just to sum it all up, we all enjoy the drama that we get to see everyday from the internet. Just recently, an upcoming female socialite, Shakilla has been hitting headlines, claiming to have slept with Ringtone, Victor Wanyama, Willy Paul, Masauti, Brown Mauzo, Khaligraph and Mombasa County Governor, Hassan Joho.

She however had to apologize to Khaligraph only and emphasized that that is as far as the apologies went. The 19 year old is not in the best of terms with Wilson Abubakar Radido, popularly known as Willy Paul. The two seem to be at loggerheads since the Ndovu artist claimed to have warmed his bed.

We have witnessed the Prakata hitmaker claiming that he was behind Shakilla’s arrest for trespassing his residence but she refuted the claims and said that she was set up. At this point, we do not know who is telling the truth.

The teen socialite clapped back at ‘Bwana Mkunaji’ who had recently compared her goodies to that of an elephant. “Bwana Mkunaji better listen, this thing is hotter than your pants. I’m the baddest elephant out here… ndovu…”

She also said that her song is hotter than Pozee’s tool. During an interview conducted by Caroline Mukami, Peter Mwangi, popularly known as Miracle Baby, gave us his views about the Shakilla’s new song.

Willy Paul and music producer Ilogos’ beef escalates, now takes the legal route

Willy Paul is now pressing charges against talented Kenyan music producer Ilogos after he pulled down his new track Collabo from YouTube over alleged fee arrears.

Collabo is a track the gospel-turned-secular artist released just last week, with only lucky fans able to view the music production before it went missing on YouTube.

Later to turn out that the music producer who claimed rights to the production after the artist failed to pay up his dues was the one behind the pull down.

The twists and turns

This morning, Pozze threatened to take drastic measures against the producer who he alleged had entered the country illegally. Further revealing that Ilogos is jealous because Pozze turned down an offer to work with him.

Following the backlash, Ilogos, has called out Pozze as a “small boy lacking education who he mentored from scratch and is now behaving all-grown after hitting fame”.

“Your brain is too small to pull a fight with me. Hauna hata Diploma, utawezana na mtu ako na 3 degrees? I will triple the price you owe me and you have 3 weeks to pay up or face the consequences,” Ilogos warned the artist.

According to Ilogos, Willy Paul owes him KSh180k. Something Pozze has come out to publicly deny, attesting that it is after he decided to add Teddy B to the music production, Ilogos became envious and unreasonably pulled down the track from YouTube.

Willy Paul had given Ilogos enough time to ‘behave’ and his time has lapsed, now taking legal action against him.

Willy Paul has made an ugly comeback on Shakilla, threatening to press charges against her, claiming he has all the evidence with him.

In a series of chat screenshots as captured by a local publication, Pozze claimed that first, he does not know where the chick got his phone number from.

Revealing how the babe started calling him on WhatsApp severally before recently making direct calls to him.

Willy Paul’s side of the story

“She keeps sending and unsending DMs, even asking me to go Live with her and break Xtian’s record. Huyu si ni wazimu?” bashed Willy Paul.

It so happened that on that fateful night of the scuffle, Pozze was in studio and his phone kept ringing, so when he finally picked up, the caller identified as “Tiffany”.

But since he did not know any ‘Tiffany’, he asked her never to ring his number. Then his girl who has in his house at the time, called few minutes later to inform him one ‘Tiffany’ was here as his business partner.

Pozze confronted his girl on phone, for letting in the babe but did not blame her because she is not Kenyan so probably did not know what to do.

The singer asking his girl to take photos of the the chick privately and send them to him, only to realize it is Shakilla, to his utter surprise.

Pozze questioned Shakilla’s guts to even ask his girl how long she has been in his house, so he rushed back with his ‘boys’ to find Shakilla in the kitchen.

He questioned her visit to his premises, claiming she had been told by a mutual friend that he has been looking for her.

“Surely, how stupid can one be?”he remarked. Only for the singer to secretly ring the friend’s number and find out Shakilla is lying.

Things turn sour

That is when Willy Paul smelt something fishy and called the police on her, realizing Shakilla had recorded herself while in his house, probably to use it against him in future.

Claiming Shakilla is the one who pleaded with him to drop the charges, shocked she dared say she was fred on bail.

“Naskia akisema alitoka na bail, does she even know what bail is? Or maybe she meant alitoka na belly, because that is the only thing she can afford,” Willy Paul fired back.

Shakilla and Willy Paul have engaged each other in a running battle of a nasty blame game following her sudden night arrest at his residence.

According to the singer, Shakilla was trespassing on his grounds, therefore warranting an arrest.

Yes, the babe eventually got released on bail, but she has a story to tell. “It was a set up. Got cheated on and wasted by someone who had comfortably invited her to his premises, only to later deny me.”

The drama unfolds

In a series of screenshots of her chats with blogger, Edgar Obare, Shakilla gave her side of the story.

“Let me clarify, what happened yesternight [sic] was a completely different story from what Pozze said,” she stated.

“I paid close to KSh50k of bail, then boom, he withdraws the charges suddenly”. Having got to his residence at around 8:30pm and stayed on up until around midnight when “Pozze came in with two guys who started harassing her.”

Plus, the OB details did not add up, being a formal document where the singer is expected to write his original names and not stage names. Something felt fishy for Shakilla.

“That’s not the first time I’ve been at his house. I mean, if I had any intentions, I would have gone Live or something.” Shakilla had every reason to believe Pozze was “on a mission to damage her reputation” but she will no longer tolerate it.

It so happened, the two got into a fight, with the singer who had requested for her photos, demanding her phone password, thereafter slapping her and deleting the photos on her phone.

“Tell Willy Paul one day, he’ll beg to play in my party atashtuka! Mark my words,” declared the young socialite.

Willy Paul has come out to back up allegations of Shakilla trespassing into his residence in the middle of the night with a CCTV video footage showing how it all went down.

The lass spent the night in detention following her night arrest in Mlolongo at around 12 midnight, after Willy Paul who felt threatened by her presence in his home, called the area police on her.

To back up the claims, the controversial Kenyan artist shared a roughly 4-minute clip that shows Shakilla’s entry into his home, until the police took her away.

The video footage

It starts with a dear Shakilla walking into the residence whose gates were left ajar, carrying a bag in hand, waiting outside for a couple of minutes before getting access into the house.

A lady, allegedly Willy Paul’s female friend was the one who ushered in the 19-year old, the two had a brief chat before Pozze walks in, in the company of several men in what seemed like a heated discussion.

Shortly after, armed policemen walk into the residence ahead of Shakilla’s arrest at around 00:52 hours in the night.

A footage Willy Paul labelled “PART 1”, when the “lost teenager came into his house without his knowledge and lied to his female friend that he has a meeting with her and that she is his business partner”.

Forewarning the teen socialite against crossing his paths again. Asking her to stay away from him because even though she claims they know each other, he does not know her.

Alleging that certain people had sent the lass to his residence before the scuffle.

“Please Shakilla or whatever you call yourself…. stay away from me. I don’t know you so stop making it look like I know you… and tell the people that sent u this; KAMENUKA,” he wrapped up.

Teenage socialite Shakilla has finally shared her side of the story after being arrested yesterday night at Willy Paul’s house. According to Shakilla, the controversial singer lied about her showing up at her house announced yet he personally invited her.

Through her IG stories, Shakilla revealed that Willy Paul set her up and of course she fell for it. Judging by the situation, this was probably to hit back for revealing they had something going on the low. She wrote;

Singer Willy Paul has come out to reveal that he is the person who got teenage socialite Shakilla arrested on Monday, 12 October night in Mlolongo.

According to Willy Paul, the socialite apparently broke into his home when nobody was around; but luckily, the security was able to stop her before she managed to force her way into the post apartment.

Hi I would like to address an issue that occurred yesterday at my residence at around 12 midnight. The estate security noticed a lady at my gate that was forcefully trying to enter my house ( she did ). They informed me immediately and I went only to find out that it’s the ” Famous Shakilla”. I immediately reported to the police and she was arrested for trespassing. I have also handed over the CCTV footage and a few popular names of the people she mentioned she is working for to the authorities for further investigation. Kindly put me and my family in your prayers, its not safe for me anymore. Be blessed.

Controversial kenyan singer Willy Paul proved that he can be disrespectful towards women; after his short post where he went on to embarrass teenage socialite, Shakilla.

Apart from throwing shade at the lass; Willy Paul went on to admit having smashed the young lady but according to him, this was not worth it!

As seen on his Instagram post, the former gospel singer not only compared her private part to that of a 97 year old; but went on to add that it was the same size of that of an elephant. Like really?

Controversial singer Willy Pozze and ratchet 19-year old socialite Shakilla are at it again, this time, embroiled in a nasty war of words online.

So what happened, Shakilla recently mentioned among the 30 men that she had supposedly gone to bed with and on her list was a dear Willy Paul.

A day later, he clapped back in a cryptic post warning: “Be warned haters! It’s about to get ugly!”

Hardly did netizens see what was about to go down!

The kid woke up the following morning to call out Shakilla with some unprintable insults online, claiming she was a teenager on paper but 97 years underneath.

“Yes, she’s a teenager but what’s underneath is 97yrs ????. Same size as an elephant’s!! Don’t mistake my silence for weakness!” he came out guns blazing.

Shakilla got wind of it soon enough and had Willy Paul’s dish equally served. In a letter specifically addressed to the popular Bwana Mkunaji, she dared: “Dear Mr. Mkunaji don’t claim me before I claim you, hukunigwara.”

Going ahead to offer him a free safari package to the Mara, just to go see for himself and confirm his sentiments, posting: “I can book you a safari package to Maasai mara you look for that elephant you saying ????.”

Well, a dear Pozze is yet to get the memo but from the look of things, it is about to get hot! Meanwhile, fans cannot hold back their amusement on the comment section as these two light a wild fire.

Shakilla’s comeback comes barely a day after she seemingly addressed Kenyan International football star, Victor Wanyama in a cryptic post stating: “The truth hurts that’s why you won’t stop whining saying it’s a lie. ????I ain’t no one’s mama to comfort you????”

Willy Paul did not have it easy while growing up. Unlike most artists with sponsors able to support their projects; Willy Paul says his hard work and determination is the reason why he has managed to come this far.

However even after making it big in the music industry; the 27 year old singer says that things continue to get harder especially now that his career has opened more doors of opportunity!

The young singer opened up about these struggles in a new post shared on his IG page. According to the singer, it is indeed a blessing to have had his new song featuring Avril trending for 2 weeks now; despite the many issues he continues face with those trying to kill his career.

10 Kenyan artists whose concerts you must attend when lockdown is finally lifted

With the significant reduction of positive COVID-19 cases over the last two weeks, it seems things will soon go back to normal and the restrictions that had been put in place to curb the spread of the deadly virus will be lifted.

Measures such as banning large public gatherings and ordering the closure of clubs and have denied many Kenyans a chance to socialize and see their favourite artists performing live for a whole 6 months.

As such, I decided to write down a list of Kenyan artist who I feel many people, including yours truly, are eager to see performing on stage. Here are their names in no particular order and to be honest I don’t mind if someone can get all of them to do one show.

1. Mejja – Okwonkwo as he is popularly known has been on a roll since the year began. He has dropped fire collabos and I believe many people are yearning to see him on stage because he’s a showstopper.

2. Sauti Sol – If you watched Sauti Sol’s virtual concert last month then I’m sure you can’t wait to see them on stage soon because nothing beats a Sauti Sol live experience.

3. Nadia Mukami – She is arguably the biggest female artist in Kenya at the moment and to add to that, Nadia has also released many jams during the social distancing period that many people would want to see her performing live.

4. Otile Brown – The mellow-voiced singer whose real name is Jacob Otieno Obunga dropped a fire album during the social distancing period and watching him perform those songs live will be an unforgettable experience.

5. Khaligraph Jones – The OG or Papa Jones has also been working really hard and if you have ever attended his show then you know that he means business when he gets on stage.

6. Ssaru – I know many of you can not wait to see this lass performing because she literally blew up when we were in lockdown. To add to that, she has some dope wordplay and rhymes.

7. Timmy Tdat – I had to include the Dus Nyau hitmaker because his energy when he is on stage is unmatched. If you attend his concert, you go home feeling like you got value for your money.

8. Willy Paul – During the lockdown, Pozze has dropped collabos with Mejja, Nadia Mukami, Bien Aime, Ruby and done many successful single projects. Therefore, you just have to see him performing live.

9. Moji Short Babaa – If you are a promoter and you want an urban gospel artist who will pull huge crowds to your event then look no further than this chap.

Controversial singer Willy Paul who quit making gospel music about a year ago is pretty mad at Mcsk Officials. This is after an audit report confirmed that there has been theft of artist’s royalties; yet most artists continue living in poverty despite their hard work.

As seen on a video shared on his Instagram page, Willy Paul did not hold back while bashing the old officials for their greed.

According to Pozee it is indeed sad that the government would let such things happen right under their noses; after promising to work for the youths! Pozee who appears quite angered and irritated after the audit report went on to write;

Well, I guess it is no secret that most artists in the country have been putting in effort; but those who remain benefitting are the MCSKK officials. However this does not come as a surprise since Kenya has been ranked among the top corrupt countries in Africa.

Willy Paul recently confessed about his undying love for Avril Nyambura. For a minute it all seemed like a joke until Pozee started addresssing her as his queen.

From the posts shared on his page, Pozee went on to reveal that Avril’s voice changed his life forever back in the day. According to the fella, her banging body or flawless skin is not what pulled her towards him but of course her sultry voice!

Well with the number of followers he has, many took it upon themselves to tag Avril who finally decided to drop a short comment!

Willy Paul has always been open when it comes to the music industry. According to him, there are those who run this particular industry by deciding who runs what and where in the industry!

So far we have seen him complain about his music not getting enough airplay; a move used to finish an artists career since they never get to be heard.

However, Willy Paul says that he will not let anyone play with source of income as seen on a ‘now deleted’ post on his gram. Thanks to a screenshot shared by one popular news outlet, Willy Paul is seen throwing shade at Boom play Kenya for always sidelining his requests.

Pozee throws shade

On his post, Willy says that Boom Play has refused to work with him despite the many proposals he has been sending them. For a minute he thought that after scooping an award as the most streamed artist on boomplay; he would be able to get sponsorships but this never happened!

But after having enough of their games, the controversial singer then decided to expose them through his page; however this did last for long as he lated pulled down the posts.

Urban Kenyan gospel music might just be dead

Following Willy Paul and Bahati’s decisions to ditch gospel music in favor of love songs, the former, at least the mainstream/urban side, might just be dead.

You might disagree with me but the two artists really propelled the industry, most up and coming gospel musicians wanted to be like them.

So I feel that their exit might have have a negative impact on the industry and to be honest, this is topic that is open to debate.

I know what you’re thinking, that there are other gospel musicians who are as talented as Willy Paul and Bahati, perhaps even more. The likes of Moji Shortbabaa, Guardian Angel, Pitson, Benachi etc.

But the truth is that none of them has a huge following as these two. They used their music and scandals at times to publicize themselves. I don’t know how or why they do it but it works for them.

In the late 2000s to the early 2010s when gospel music was big in Kenya, it was largely because of these two. The fact that they didn’t like each other made things even more interesting.

But now, both of them have exited the gospel industry to do love songs. Willy Paul was the first to jump ship and it didn’t take long before Bahati followed suit.

Who knows, urban Kenyan gospel might just find a new male singer who propels and I can’t wait to see who will take up the mantle from two. Enough said.

Willy Paul’s collabo with Sauti Sol’s Bien is timely

Willy Paul has been making major moves as he moves to solidify himself as a secular artist and the latest one, a collabo with Sauti Sol’s Bien Aime Baraza, caught many people off guard.

The controversial artist has worked with Sauti Sol before, back when he was a gospel artist they released a jam dubbed Take It Slow.

But the fact that he decided to single out Bien Aime for his latest joint titled Kamati Ya Roho Chafu just shows how much he’s determined to make it big as a secular artist.

If you ask me, I’ll tell you that this collabo would not have come at a better time and they both delivered on this track.

Bien Aime has an amazing voice and the best part is that it blends really well with that of Willy Paul. You will just find yourself hitting the replay button because it sounds pleasant to the ears.

Kamati Ya Roho Chafu is also well-packaged. The video is crisp, the styling is on point and the locations are really dope.

Interestingly, many people had thought that Willy Paul would flop as a secular artist but the opposite is turning out to be true.

Pozze’s moves are well-calculated and although I do not know what informs his decision to work with an artist, it’s working in his favor.

His bad boy image also helps him a lot because let’s be honest, ladies really love that. They love bad boys for some reason I just can’t explain.

Only time will tell if Willy Paul can surmount the pressure that he is getting from his peers in the secular industry.

Kenyan controversial music artist Willy Paul is having it rough after random women came out to expose him for sliding in their DMs to either meet up or drop by but when they couldn’t he brutally clapped back.

Yesterday, during his InstaLive session, fans were quick to notice an unidentified lass lying on the sofa at his home, in the middle of the night.

Now, barely a week after getting exposed for sliding into one Shakilah’s DM, Pozze’s habit seems hard to die following Edgar Obare’s recent exposés.

First case

So Pozze hit up one chick for a meet up only to say she is based in Dubai ad Pozze admitted that is too far.

He asked for photos of the lass before declining just in case it was a hacker but she eventually shared.

The two argued for a while before Pozze was thirsting over her and she called it quits, ending ugly.

Second case

Next case, the singer DMed a chick they had not been in communication with for a while after he lost her number only to run back when he needed her.

Third case

The other case was actually a lady who was trying to promote her sauna business only for a thirsty Pozze to ask her to either bring the sauna to his home or meet up at his studio, before making sexual advances at her.

Fans were both irked by Willy Paul and by these women for accepting his DMs if they know what kind of history he has.

Some felt the chicks needed not complain if they accepted his offers and went along with the conversation. Meanwhile, a section attacked the artist for his untamed behavior towards random women.

Some of you might hate me for this but the truth is that Willy Paul is doing better musically than his nemesis Kevin Bahati. This is pretty obvious but I know you still want to argue about this, don’t you?

You see, these two singers have been at it for as long as I can remember never mind the fact that their calling as as gospel artists is to bring people to Christ. Interestingly, they made it seem like a competition, a supremacy battle of sorts.

At some point, Bahati was doing well musically. This is around the time he released Mama. He was always topping charts and receiving massive airplay on local TV and radio stations. I don’t know what happened but somewhere along the way Willy Paul overtook him.

Well, you could argue that Willy Paul is no longer a gospel singer and that he doesn’t make music that glorifies the man above but you see the truth is the gospel industry is not what it was three years ago or so. Put simply, it lost the vibrancy that it once had.

Willy Paul might have seen this coming and perhaps this explains why his recent songs are questionable. They make you wonder if he’s still a gospel artist. On the other hand, Bahati decided to stick to his guns never mind the fact that the gospel industry was dwindling.

Willy Paul behaviour is inexcusable. I agree. However, you need to realize that this is their bread, it’s how they put food on the table. As such I would not really blame him for not towing the line because let’s be honest, he’s really doing well and getting massive airplay.

Bahati is also laughing all the way to the bank thanks to his reality TV show dubbed Bahati Reality. Perhaps this explains why he’s not invested in music as he was before. He realised that the gospel industry had stagnated and when he saw a way out, he took it.

Willy Paul discloses main reason for quitting gospel music

Many have been asking why Willy Pail quit making gospel music; and finally this burning question has been answered by Pozee himself while speaking to Jalang’o on a recent interview.

According to Willy Paul he was fighting powerful people who wanted him to fail in the music industry. He went on to mention that despite his relationship with God being intact, he could not put up with the challenges that almost ended his music career.

Speaking to the Kiss FM presenter, Pozee opened up revealing;

God and I have not split, I’m still his son. But the thing is, the same God that blesses Sauti Sol, Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy and even Chris Brown is the same God that blesses gospel artistes. So even before I made up my mind to go this route, I was facing a lot of challenges in the gospel industry. I don’t want to mention names but the people in the gospel industry did so much to me. There’s that feeling where you haven’t done anything to anyone but they just want to see you fail.

According to the singer these same people ensured his music was not receiving airplay on several radio stations; making it hard for him to make money – yet his mum back at home was depending on him for financial help.

These guys were so against me that they protested against my music being played on several radio stations like two or three of them. There was a time I was solely depending on music for survival, to cater to my mom’s bills and mine. But these people were so heartless they didn’t care.

However since deciding to switch to secular music, Pozee now says that everything on his court seems just fine; and most of all free since his music has no boundaries!

As we speak I’m free because what I’m doing now is just music, no boundaries. I’ll wake up tomorrow I feel like worshipping I’ll worship, I feel like love, I’ll sing a love song. Now I don’t have to beg anyone or kneel before anyone to get anything because that’s not me and it will never happen.
