East Africa united by an encouragement song ‘Kosi’

Kosi is the newest project in town that features a group of artistes from East Africa. The jam has brought on board big names from Uganda and Kenya.

Those who are part of the strong hit are; Ambassada, Pallaso, Eddy Kenzo, Nina Roz, Arrow Bwoy, Jabidii, Beenie Gunter, Dufla Diligan, Wambui Katee and Ghetto Kids.

The collaboration between all the 11 is something that shows the industry is headed somewhere. First, we get to understand the meaning of Kosi. According to the team, Kosi is a short form for the word Kosisikeleli which means freedom.

Kosi is an inspirational song to the young generation

The main aim of the song is to inspire, motivate and encourage the new generation. It helps them to acquire a positive mindset towards life in general.

It is worth noting that the hit has brought together the best producers in both audio and video to ensure comprehensive work.

Kosi also brings on board the good works of radio legendary, Mzazi Willy M Tuva, a Kenyan presenter. Audio production involved three brains with two from Uganda and one from Kenya.

The beauty of this heat is brought about by the Masaka kids whose give the dance they’re all. Actually, the song is so real and unique.

Wambui Katee the queen of covers also graced the song with her beautiful voice. Being a woman in a male dominated world is just cool.

The lyrics of the song are a mixture of languages. This gives Kosi a new and unique taste. There is a combination of great works.

Kosi is a great jam and it is an inspiration to many. African artistes should focus more on content that is inspiring the young generation.

In conclusion, the likes of Jabidii and Arrow Byow are names that are recognised in the two nations for their good work.

In conclusion, Kosi by East Africa Allstars is relevant to today’s generation thus the rating of 6/10.

Q Chilla features Eddy Kenzo in ‘Pepeta’

Q Chilla has a new jam dubbed Pepeta. In Pepeta he has featured Uganda’s finest, Eddy Kenzo. Pepeta comes in as Q chilla is trying to make a comeback in thee music industry. Also, Harmonize has been seen trying to support him.

To start with, I must admit that this is a great collabo. Q Chilla is on the right track on his way back. As much as the guy has been away, their voices are in sync.

By this I mean that they are a good duo. The duo has performed Pepeta in the best way possible. Can’t wait for the video.

What is ‘Pepeta’ about?

First Pepeta is more of a love song dedicated to a girl. For instance, there is line in which Q Chilla describes the girl;

Ana mwendo wa matege Nimechill radhi sio feki Hatumiagi mchina mchina(Mchina mchina) Kifuani pako dede, wala hahitaji jeki Yaani yamesimama wima wima(Wima wima).

In addition to the love described, there is also this line which shows what Pepeta means in the song. In this stanza, he calls the girl sweet names and asks her to Pepeta for him. Beiby nitang’ang’ana(Pepeta) Yeah pepeta(Pepeta) Beiby girl you give me love You give me love(Pepeta) Yeah pepeta(Pepeta).

Without going deeper into the song, conclusion can be made that this is a love song. You know in Kenyan context Pepeta means shaking the ass…

Q Chilla and Eddy Kenzo’s collaboration just shows the willingness of East Africa artists to work together. It is a great audio. Also you will notice that the audio and the beats are in sync. What do I mean? Simply it shows that there is flow and the sound is very clear.

Performance

The duo has delivered the song in a good way. There is a lot of energy. If you have listened to Eddy Kenzo’s work, am sure you know how he does it. The Q Chilla we knew before is slowly coming back.

Last but not least, the song Pepeta by Q Chilla and Eddy Kenzo gets a rating of 5/10.

Bobi Wine Vs Bebe Cool Beef May Come to An End

Who saw this coming? Well, I didn’t. Could this be the end of the Bebe Cool vs Bobi Wine saga? I hope not because the music industry would be so boring. The 10 years of Eddy Kenzo brought to the show something that we had never seen before. The two major artists, and political rivals, Moses Ssali and Robert Kyagulanyi embraced themselves as brothers.

“As expected, seeing me and my brother and fellow artiste Bebe Cool greet and hug after a long time excited many people.” The people power leader shared.

The singer also made it clear to his fans that Uganda has alot of problems beyond their beef. “The issues which Uganda faces cannot and should not be reduced to a Bobi Wine – Bebe Cool affair!”

In a short clip that made rounds on social media, Bebe moved towards Bibi Wine’s seat, and the two hugged and embraced themselves.. Since then many fans have been left with unanswered questions. What do you think?

Eddy Kenzo Visits His Hometown. Plans to Develop it.

the Jubilation artist visited his village, and they sat down for a little chat, about how they can develop it. Read below;

Eddy Kenzo Making Song About Lake Victoria Tragedy

One of the reasons we love Eddy Kenzo, is because has heart for the people suffering. He is patriotic, and stands for his country. His music touches multitudes of people. The BET award winner is out again, to make a song about the recent tragedy on Lake Victoria.

“Today I met kaddu of kika troupe, we are wondering why it is called lake Victoria!!!!! Not Nalubaale…. the universe is mad we have ignored it’s true identity for along time.. it’s taking our people. And we are doing something in studio right now to clean up the mess. Bakuyita Nalubaale si Victoria, sonyiwa maama??????.”

Many youths and prominent socialites in Uganda died when boat capsized on Lake Victoria a few days ago. This particular accident caught people unaware, and has swept the hearts of many away. Thank you Kenzo for the solidarity.

Crowds Sing along to Eddy kenzo’s hit in Dubai, One Africa Music Fest

There is nothing more important than an event, that brings all Africans together, to share and celebrate their unity. Our very own Eddy Kenzo, an International award winner, represented the country at the One Africa Music Fets in Dubai. Alongside some major names like Sarkodie, Davido, Wiz Kid, Tiwa Savage, Awilo, and many others. Eddy Kenzo made sure to leave behind a mark that everyone can remember. The event is annual, an this time, it was held at the Dubai Festival City Arena.

The singer shared on his Facebook page, a video of him presenting the famous, “Sitya Loss” song, and the crowd was singing along to it, and lighting up the sky. Kenzo brought the room down with his energetic and talented dancers leaving many people yearning for more.

One of the artists known for drawing large crowds is Eddy Kenzo. The International award winning artist, has admitted that the recently held Kyarenga Concert was the biggest since independence. From various reports, we can already deduce that thousands of people attended, filling up the One Love Beach, Busabala. There were no companies, making promotions of sales at the event, hence the crowd’s attention was glued to the stage. Eddy Kenzo however, has other reasons to add to this conclusion he made. Read below;

“No phone theft, no violence, no death, no blood, no one was hurt, no crime, no offense and on top of that. No police brutality was reported during the Kyarenga Concert. It was 100% a successful peaceful event which went down in history as the biggest concert since Independence. Alifira ku mazima eriba wadembe. International Award winning singer, Eddy Kenzo is shooting at us with talent once again. His album, Roots has been released and is available on various online music platforms and stores. The album has a total of 20 songs, including some of our personal favorites. Some of these include; Ogwo, Bend it over, Konkon, Body Language, Ghetto, Moon and others.

Eddy Kenzo Abuses Ritah Kaggwa for Facebook Rumor that he Abandoned Rema

Ritah Kaggwa is always the fastest source of news especially on our different celebrities. This time, Eddy Kenzo has come out to shut her up, because of a story that was on her wall a few daya ago.

In a post whereby a person begged Ritah Kaggwa to hide her identity, it was revealed that Kenzo abandoned Rema in Uganda, and is currently living in Boston with Ritah Salma.

Bobi Wine Thanks Eddy Kenzo For Speaking Out The Truth

This week, Eddy Kenzo started a campaign to raise money for The Late Yasin Kawuma’s family. He also posted a video, explaining his link with the People Power team.

“You can’t keep singing love songs when someone is bleeding to death next to u. I can’t be happy when my country is not happy. Many children and youths are dying. Even those in leadership, like the late Kaweesi, Kirumira, are being targeted.” Kenzo shared.

Bobi Wine, the MP who has tirelessly fought for the youth since his first day in office, came out in a Facebook post to thank the award winning star for his initiative, and thanked him for keeping his eyes wide open.

Eddy Kenzo Opens Fundraising Campaign for Yasin Kawuma’s Family

Award winning and International Singer, Eddy Kenzo, is not letting the family of the Latte Yasin, Bobi WIne’s former driver go without any help. He has started a fundraising campaign, for the family, to have enough money to cater for their needs. The father of the home was shot dead by unknown assailants in Arua, during the recent campaigns for Arua Municipality MP seat. Read Kenzo’s post below;

“Soldiers shot and killed Hon. Kyagulanyi’s bodyguard and Driver Yasin Kawuma. The family has been crying out for justice. The world has been calling for the arrest and prosecution of the people who killed the young man, forcing him to leave his children at a young age. I know the President has the ability to know who murdered Kawuma and bring them to justice and that is what we want, that’s what the familywants, and that’s how it should be.
Instead of that, our fellow artistes have picked money from him to take to this grieving family. Kale tetuganye 20m is a lot of money, but obulamu tebugulwa. We want justice first and money can come in later. The family has appreciated the President for his generous contribution, but told the messengers to return the money. They demand justice for their father’s death. I feel proud of them because dignity is better than silver and gold. Your late dad, brother and husband must be proud of you. Bambi mumuweseza ekitiibwa.

Last Week, Eddy Kenzo shared the news, about how his Big Talent Entertainment Company had signed up a new artist. It is indeed true that the International Award winning musician is making dreams come true, for not just himself, but other people in the industry.

Born on 31st July 1992 in Makindye, Elysha began singing at the age of 10 in church without any direction. At the age of 14, he learnt how to play the piano from which he started playing at his church in Buziga. In 2012, he decided to fully pursue his music career by venturing into commercial music. He has performed and still performs with the finest bands in Uganda like S&S Band and Band Cindy

Earlier last week, we were shocked when legendary hit maker, Bebe Cool, referred to his fellow singer as a goat. he compared the youngster to a goat he had won during an auction. Eddy Kenzo music, on twitter, sharing the “Mummy” video by APASS, said a word or two about the situation.

There is a thing that people have against the famous and successful. Eddy Kenzo has shut down the rumors. The Internationally known and recognized singer went on social media to prove a point to all the gossip that was circulating.

“It takes me time to prove something, but really how can one write such an article without any proof, now let me prove you wrong, my papers on which I tested are here and if some one doesn’t agree, let them go and ask Nakasero hospital or case clinic, I have not started medicine like this tabloid has written, that is false information meant to tarnish my name,” Kenzo posted.

Eddy Kenzo Hospitalised once Again

Singer Eddy Kenzo is once again admitted in hospital. The father of two, who also is a partner to singer Rema Namakula, has posted on social media a picture of him looking weak and lying on a hospital bed with a cannula on his hand indicating that he is on drip.

Although he does not reveal what is ailing him, he captions the picture with a crying emoji which has led his fans into flooding his timeline with get-well-soon messages. For now it is suspected that Kenzo has, as usual, over worked himself. Which reminds us…..there were some rumors some time back about Rema complaining that her hubby is never at home.

Maybe Mama has sent a signal to Eddy Kenzo. It could be time to take a break, buy a ring and get down on one knee before mama Amaal. But no pressure Kenzo. We love you and get well soon!

Eddy Kenzo yesterday scooped another ambassadorial appointment as he was named the new ambassador for tourism in Uganda.

“As we all know east or west home is the best, today we embark on a new journey as I sign as the Uganda Tourism ambassador. I’ll work hand in hand with all tourism departments to promote our tourist attractions, and I’ll continue flying the Uganda flag so high with God grace and mercy. Thank you MY UGANDA,” Kenzo posted on his official social media platforms.

Eddy Kenzo drinks himself silly at welcome party

It’s not every day that you get a chance to see singer Eddy Kenzo drunk.

The singer has left his fans shocked after a picture of him holding a bottle of Tusker malt beer surfacing on social media. Born Edirisa Musuza, a Muslim by faith, he was sighted at Fusion Auto Spa in Munyonyo during his victory welcome party on Wednesday night .

An eye witness revealed to us that the Nickelodeon award winner drank himself silly and ordered for all kinds of drinks for his close pals.

Our mole also added that Kenzo is very stressed since his relationship with fellow singer Rema Namakula is unstable.

Eddy Kenzo set to perform at the Wembley Stadium in the UK

Music singer and BET awards winner, Eddy Kenzo is set to entertain London people on 2nd of June this year in an annual show dubbed ‘One Africa Festival’ at Wembley Stadium.

Eddy Kenzo’s career has taken off at break neck speed over the past couple of years winning him several international Awards. The most recent was the nickelodeon Kids Choice Award for best African star.

Eddie Kenzo says he is so excited after being selected among the top Africa stars and will be performing alongside Ghetto kids.

He was the birth of the Ghetto kids dancing career which elevated them to the international stage after appearing in French Montana’s “unforgettable” video.

As it seems, everything he touches turns to gold.

The event comes to the UK for the first time and will also feature performances from P Square, Victoria Kimani, Flave and Pyhno.

This year’s edition will be hosted by Nigerian singer, Banky W.

Last year, Dubai was brought to a standstill with a performance from Tiwa Savage, Wizkid, Davido among many others.

Eddy Kenzo wins Kids choice Award for best African Star

Love or hate him, the world has a way of favoring singer Eddy Kenzo. The Jubilation star has added a Nickelodeon Kids’s choice award on his shelf of accolades. The awards which were held yesterday saw Kenzo (real name Edrisa Musuuza) walk away with the award for Favorite African Star.

He bit equally big names like Davido (singer), Emmanuella (comedian), Cassper Nyovest (singer), Caster semenya (athlete) and Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz.

Kenzo, who did not fly out for the awards, gave his acceptance speech though a recorded video shot in his studio.

“Thank you so much for voting and voting. This is really really our time and it means a lot to me and in return I want to show you my crazy winner dance,” Kenzo said befoe breaking into dance as Sitya Loss – the song the propelled him to the international scene – played in the background.

News just coming in indicates that East Africa’s first BET Award winner Eddy Kenzo has added another award to his name as he has won the ‘Best African Entertainer of the year’ in the International Reggae and World Music Awards. The red carpet event was held at the University of Chicago.

Uganda’s latest music export beat Nigeria’s Davido and Wizkid, Diamond Platnumz from Tanzania and Sakordie.

“Congratulations to all of us guys!!!!! We won Best African entertainer in the 36th International Reggae and world music Awards (IRAWMA.) This is Very Big Thank you for voting Team 256, Team Eddy Kenzo, team East Africa, Team Africa, God bless you all,” Kenzo posted.

If you did not hear the news, then Ghafla is here to fill you in. Eddy Kenzo signed up a new artist called Nu York “da Styles” to his Big Label Entertainment. We will not let you go without watching the video.

The hit was directed by Darlington. A colorful video, with a street type of vibe. It has a hip sense to it, and a fun tune. It indeed signifies holiday time, when the youth are out to feel the heat, and have a good time. The grafitti on the background wall, also colors the video more, and keeps you up for it.

“Twende”, which means, Let’s Go is a song inviting us to join the crew. The hit is a dance hall one, with a very active video. It has a sort of old school Jamaican set-up to it. There is fire that keeps coming to the screen. to show you it is hot.

Looks :Bebe Cool is indeed a hunk. His pretty boy face is very attractive, and we can tell that the dude works out too. His arms are the size of that of a super hero. He has a great sense of fashion, and his height is appealing too. Besides, he just won a fashion award with ASFA2017 recently.

Eddy kenzo Bashes Bebe cool’s music- “it is stagnant like water in a pond”

Singer Eddy Kenzo has reignited his beef with fellow singer Bebe Cool.

Kenzo claims that “bba wa zuena’s” music is irrelevant and stagnant like water.

He said all this while appearing on Galaxy Fm during a gossip show, “Pokopoko” hosted by Jonathan Nalebo.

When he was asked his opinion on the list of the best entertainers in 2017 that was shared by Bebe Cool, he said,” “If Bebe Cool thinks he is big, let him sing that “Mbozi Za Malwa” song in Guinea and see if he has fans there. No one will follow him.”

Furious Kenzo added, “That will show him that his music is stagnant like water.”

Eddie Kenzo also advised Bebe Cool to grow up and concentrate on building the Industry. He asked him to emulate Nigerian artistes like Don Jazy and Dbanj, David and Wizkid who recently made Peace in order build their industry.

Aamal Musuuza, daughter to Eddy Kenzo and Rema was filled with love from both n parents on her birthday. Besides the wonderful message that her father posted on Social media, her mum took her birthday party to the Red women foundation.

Rema first had a photo shoot with her baby, dressed in same African print, and showing their deep connection in every shoot. She also explained her feelings for her daughter in a simple post;

2017 has been a great year, and many celebrities have stayed on top of news tabloids. Here is the list of all those that dominated our wolokoso this year.

Zari Hassan.

Zari the boss lady has gone through alot this year, and we hope 2018 will be a peaceful one for her. From the death of her ex husband and father of her children, to that of her beloved mother. She then had baby mama drama with her husband Diamond Platinumz and a successful Ciroc all white party. She thus had the highest media coverage this year.

Eddy Kenzo

Eddy Kenzo did not shut up after winning an award at the BETs. Even the participation of the Ghetto kids at the award this year, had the tabloids still mention his name. His song Jubilation also consumed the entire country, and stopped him awards, some at AFRIMA2017. This also followed by some rumors about the drama between him and his wife.

Bobi Wine

The ability to hold two personalities at the same time, one as an MP and the other as an entertainer has made Robert Kyagulanyi a major headline this year. Besides his music, his political ideology surprised many of his fans, and the major support he had from the Ghetto scared his enemies. His children also got a few gigs here and there that got the tabloids writing about him over and over again.

Douglas Lwanga

Believe it or not, Douglas has had a great year. His purple party is first of all a he add liner that many wait for. This yet he had amazing news from Yuppyz Clothing, to God Father EAST Africa, and finallu, the awards that he scooped. The NTV presenter has had some media time this year.

Ykee Benda

There is a way this Kireka Boy just produces hits that whisk the girls away. His former hits are still favourites at many clubs, and he went on to please his fans with more and more music. Ykee Benda also made a wonderful performance at the Coke Studio that had alot of people on the media talking.

It was Aamal Musuuza’s birthday and both her parents where totally excited. They posted beautiful photo’s of the princess on social media, and tagged it to very lovely posts. This beautiful baby is a daughter to Award Winning Ugandan Musician, Eddy Kenzo, and his beautiful wife, also a song bird, Rema Namakula.

She was born on 26th December 2014 to the lovely couple, and is indeed a wonderful present for Christmas day. The chubby pretty princess is loved dearly by both her parents, and step sister, who was from Eddy Kenzo’s previous relationship. We know that Aamal loves to take beautiful pictures with her mum, and the two are often seen twinning on social media.

EDDY KENZO’S MESSAGE TO AAMAL ON HER BIRTHDAY

Well yesterday, her father took to Facebook, a heartfelt message. He wrote;

For the photo shoot, Aamal wore an almost neon green dress with a netted lowr part. The top was shiny gold and she looked extremely beautiful. Indeed the two gave birth to a wonderful baby.

Eddy Kenzo interviews, Music banned from NTV and Spark Tv.

BET award winner, Eddie Kenzo has been banned from appearing on NTV and its sister television, Spark TV.

On Thursday afternoon, when Kenzo appeared on The Beat show he apparently got into it with the producer of the show.

When the management of the Station git to know about the unfortunate happening, they concluded to indefinitely suspense all appearance and music of Kenzo on their forums.

This includes NTV, Spark TV, KFM and monitor newspaper. Kenzo gas been known to use his fists to engage all journalists and artists who air out his dirty laundry.

BET Award winning star Eddy Kenzo held his concert at Jahazi Pier in Munyonyo this weekend. Being the internationally acclaimed star that he is, we at least expected him to fill up the small venue but this was not the case.

Just like his counterpart Pallaso, Kenzo had very noticeable empty seats only filled by his friends and family. The empty VIP red plastic chairs could be seen from space which prompted organizers to ask some people in the General audience to fill some of the empty seats.

By the time Kenzo started performing, many of the seats were not filled. He got on stage in a winter coat, hat and pull-neck black shirt that one would think he lost his way from he streets of Brooklyn.

He treated his fans to a live performance however some say this was not a smart move given the type of audience he has. However, fellow artists like Catherine Kusasira, Moreen Nantume and APass came out to support their collegue.

Eddy Kenzo Clears Rumors About Break up with Rema

The media is one of the fastest ways that stories, rumors and information can spread. They are however in the wrong books of Eddy Kenzo this time. According to our various sources, Eddy Kenzo has come out and told the public that his breakup with Rema was just a rumor from the public.

Apparently, he is still with the beautiful and elegant songbird/ mother of his child Rema Namakula. Eddy Kenzo reportedly mentioned during a press conference on Wednesday that they are still a couple.

“People write stories without calling me to clarify on anything . Unprofessional journalists are the reason our music industry is lagging.”

Eddy Kenzo, the award winning Ugandan artiste is right, as journalists can either make or break a person. It is however great news that the two are still together as a loving family. They have two beautiful children, one from a former wife. Rema loves the two children like a mother would.

Rumors have been going on ever since the two started dating. some saying he was going to marry her, and others contradicting that. Many have also claimed that Eddy Kenzo has abandoned Rema and the two were on the verge of breaking. Many fail to confirm whether the rumors are true, before spreading it to the public.

Eddy Kenzo sends a Message to other Artistes

Eddy Kenzo, who is currently the top most artist in Uganda according to various music awards, has finally spoken.

For the past few days, Social Media has been going crazy about the gift that made Uganda proud. Various artists around the country have also congratulated the star upon his big win. Some of these include; Radio and Weasel, Jose Chameleon and Bobi Wine.

Eddy Kenzo has said a word about his big win as “The Best Male Artist, East Africa” at the recently concluded AFRIMA awards. He posted on his Instagram page, his gratitude, and a message to all East African Artistes

“Hello, my fans and Africa at large, from the bottom of my heart I wanna thank you so much for being part of this greatest success. I have had sleepless nights hustling tirelessly to make sure we go an extra mile every time.
Winning best male East Africa and best album at the Afrima shows how great our God is and how he works in ways we cannot see. We need to jubilate, because Eddy Kenzo has made Uganda proud again. From BET to our national awards and now AFRIMA 2017, that celebrates African talents.

The 2017 AFRIMA awards were held on November 12th 2017 in Lagos, Nigeria at the economy hotel suites.

There were various live performances, including from the major hosts of the show, American super star and pop celebrity, whose roots are in Africa; Akon.

NOMINATION

He was nominated for, and emerged successful as the Best Male Artist in Eastern Africa.

There is no doubt that Eddy Kenzo is a star, because he did not stop at that. He also topped with the best song in the whole of Africa.

Being the humble man, he posted on his social media;

Thank you Eddy Kenzo diehards for voting, thank you @AFRIMAWARDS for honoring my hardwork thanks my teammates and thanks to fellow artists.

Best Male Artiste for Western Africa was Wiz Kid Ayo, and Female, Tiwa Savage. Nigerians won big at the award, but we were greatly represented.

They were spotted hanging out in Makindye recently thus dueling the rumour.

she is said to have been out of the country for a while and they decided to catch up over a drink.

Apparently Fyona and Kenzo were friends before Rema and him started dating and when they had problems, Kirabo took Kenzo’s side which upset Rema.

Eddy Kenzo Scoops Award from Airtel Uganda

Eddy Kenzo is a much celebrated music artiste in this country. His songs appeal to both the young and the old, are fun and easy to dance to.

Kenzo also went International in 2015 when his song, “Sitya loss” earned him a position of being the first East African musician to receive a BET award.

From then on, this music sensation has not stopped scooping (Non-Nigerian) recognition from various competitions country wide. This same year he also won artiste of the year at the Nigerian Entertainment Awards

The next year, Eddy Kenzo again shone at the African Entertainment Awards USA in 2016, and has recently won Artiste of the year, Best Male artiste, Best Urban and song of the year The Uganda Music Awards.

In addition to this, he has been nominated for countless music award competitions and with his song Jubilation, he is even receiving more publicity than before.

The good news coming in from Eddy Kenzo is that this October, he got himself yet another award, from telecommunication company, Airtel Uganda.

Airtel Uganda, rewarded many of its staff, and also gifted it’ s ambassador, Eddy Kenzo with an inspirational Award, in appreciation for his extraordinary service and dedication to impacting lives of Ugandans through music and community service.

In his interview, the artiste talked about his proudest moment as a Ugandan, and went on to appreciate our country, Uganda as beautiful, with beautiful people that have a pure heart. He added that the people are natural, and believe in their cultures.
