Eric Omondi’s Wife Material Show season one was a total success. Through the show, we were all yearning to see the comedian finally get a soul mate and settle. However, the comedian would later reveal that the show was scripted and everything was planned, even after taking the winner, Carol, for a honey moon.

The comedian is now aiming at starting Wife Material season two. He says that this time, nothing will be scripted. He adds that he is really looking to settle with someone through the competition.

”I learnt alot as a person during the Wife Material show. One of the things that dawned on me was the fact that am not getting any younger. I will be turning 40 in two years time. Even though the show was scripted and very well choreographed I realized somewhere along the way that this could actually be a perfect way to seriously meet someone to actually spend the rest of my life with.

And so I said to myself, I want Kenyans and East Africans and all my fans to witness me meeting someone, marrying them, having children and actually, really, seriously settling down with them. Wouldn’t that be awesome!…

I want to promise you one thing, there will be no more scripts, no more choreography! Wife material 2 will premiere on the 2nd of March 2021.”

The comedian also gave the qualifications that the contestants needed to meet ahead of the competition. The contestants will be from different countries.

Africa’s King of comedy Eric Omondi is among the few comedians to come out publicly to reveal how he made lots of cash from being featured in Churchill Show years back. The comedian has opened up and says that Churchill Show gave him a platform that enabled him to make millions. He reveals that he didn’t make much money from performing on the stage, but rather from getting advertisement gigs.

” Churchill anakupatia platform. Watu wameisema, lakini mimi naisema from experience. I’m the only one who has the moral authority more than Churchill to talk of this topic…”

”They were around 27 comedians. Nikawauliza mbele ya Churchill if he has ever paid me. Hajawai nilipa for three seasons. And I didn’t want the money. But by the time I was half the first season, I was making millions. Nilikuwa nafanya advertisements… Mimi ata inafaa nimlipe, hafai kunilipa. It should be the other way round. The comedian’s epic success journey began during his stage performances at Churchill Show. His rib-cracking comedy entertained netizens all over. He’s now the CEO of Big Tyme Entertainment and has had his own shows. One of his popular show is ‘Wife Material’.

Comedian Eric Omondi Buys Coffin He Will Use To Bury Khaligraph Jones (Video)

23rd February is the day everyone is eagerly waiting for. After Eric Omondi’s weight gain in less than a year, he has decided to set up a fighting match between him and rapper Khaligraph Jones.

The comedian has taken a step further and bought a coffin that he will use to bury the rapper. He seems to be confident that he will win the match. His opponent, Khaligraph, still remains silent on the isse.

On Instagram, Eric Omondi posted a video as he purchased the coffin.

”Preparations for 23RD FEBRUARY!!! Hii kazi tutamaliza asubui mapema juu tuko busy…”

Even though most people are still in doubt doubt about the fight, Omondi says that his beef with Khaligraph shall be settled in the ring. After revealing that his wife material show was scripted, it won’t be a surprise to most people if the fight is just a hoax.

His post got mixed reactions from his fans, with some saying that he’s just joking around.

However, Eric seems to be vengeful and optimistic that the match will happen. He intends to use the coffin to bury Khaligraph after the match.

On a radio interview, the comedian said that his beef with the rapper began when he lifted him up in front of his fans when he was about 56 Kgs. He’s now after revenge and doesn’t seem to stop hyping the match scheduled late this month.

King of comedy Eric Omondi has been making headlines for the past few weeks in the entertainment industry. After his wife material show, the comedian has had controversial responses from netizens about the show.

On an interview, Eric revealed that one of the contestants in his ‘Wife Material’ show, Shakilla, is ill-mannered. This he said jokingly to mean how straight forward Shakilla was.

He says that when he first met Shakilla, she did not greet him but rather told him ‘nionyeshe’.

”Shakilla is very straight forward. Mara ya kwanza tulikutana na yeye ivi akasema nionyeshe…

In a video, Shakilla also revealed that she had seen the inner parts of Eric Omondi as she had slept with him. Eric claimed that he had not yet seen the video of Shakilla exposing him about his size.

The comedian revealed that after his Wife Material show, he lost a couple of endorsements. However, the comedian admits that he got other endorsements from different companies, owing to the fact that he is the most followed personality in the country.

During the interview, Eric also reveals that his beef with Khaligraph Jones is legit. Most people are still in doubt whether the fight is truly happening, but Eric is still planning to have a match with the rapper. He explains that his beef with the OG started on a performance stage when Khaligraph lifted him up in front of his own fans. The fight will happen on 23rd of this month.

Kenyan Comedian Eric Omondi has revealed that he has lost a couple of sponsors after his ‘Wife Material’ show. The self proclaimed comedy King said that the show really costed him as the sponsors termed it ”unethical content”.

In an interview, the comedian reveals that one of the good deals he lost was with a betting company. He seemed to have been making a good amount from the firm.

”I lost a lot. They said our product is family-oriented. We do not know what you are doing with your brand kissing girls.”

This happens weeks after the comedian revealed to netizens that the whole show was just staged and everything was planned. The winner of the show, Carol from Band Becca, also revealed that she only came to the show to promote her brand.

Nevertheless, Eric also adds that the show helped to gain more following as more companies also eyed on him.

”Luckily, I am the most followed personality in Kenya. I feel very blessed and thank my fans. It is because of them that I get endorsements. Sponsors see these followers, who are fans, actual people, who love and follow me.”

Eric also added that he got some negative responses from women after the show. Some were complaining that Eric used the girls. But he adds that most men stood with him on the trolls he was receiving.

Eric’s comedy talent over the years have greatly contributed to who he currently is. But I think it’s time he reduced the drama and engaged more into actual comedy.

The King Of Comedy Eric Omondi has once again threatened the OG Khaligraph Jones ahead of their planned boxing match. The match was scheduled for 23rd February and Eric has decided to send an early warning to Khaligraph on pre-match.

Omondi posted a video on Instagram doing a pre-match pull-up exercise. However, the Self proclaimed comedy King raised doubts to his fans on whether the match will actually happen, owing to the fact that Khaligraph Jones has kept quiet about it.

On the Instagram post, Eric marks the day of the match and sends a threatening message to the OG.

” 23rd February 2021!!! Will be the biggest day in Kenyan Entertainment scene. Brian Omollo AKA Khaligraph Jones who was born just the will be publicly shamed, humiliated and suffocated by an elder in the industry for having a Big mouth. The whole nation will witness as a grown man begs for mercy.”

Abel Mutua commented, ” Tumetoka kwa vita tukaingia uchawi?”

Mulamwah also commented, ”Sasa finger game tumejua uko tops baba.”

This happens weeks after the comedian revealed his show ‘Wife Material’ was all staged, even after conducting a wedding ceremony with the winner, who was Carol.

With this in mind, most netizens are still in doubt as to whether this match will really occur or it’s just another staged act.

Self proclaimed King of Comedy Eric Omondi appealed to be appointed as the magical Kenya Ambassador. This happens days after the position was crowned to Naomi Campbell, who is a British Model.

Eric Omondi had his passionate appeal to Najib Balala and says that he would be a perfect fit for the job.

In addition, Eric claimed that he had booked a meeting with Tourism CS Najib Balala to discuss the same.

He also adds that he marketed Kenya in various countries without asking for pay.

”“In 2019 alone just before the Corona Pandemic I managed to travel to 11 Countries in which I mostly performed in full Kenyan flag attire. Including the Biggest Comedy show in America, ‘The Tonight show with Jimmy Fallon.”

“Lupita Nyong’o is the most followed Kenyan followed by myself. The self made King of comedy, Eric Omondi has once again made headlines after posting on Instagram that he wants to challenge Brian Ouko, aka Khaligraph Jones in a boxing match, which will be held on 27th next month.

The comedian seems to create a beef with Khaligraph after gaining his muscular physique in less than a year.

After his transformation Journey, Eric revealed that netizens have been asking him to share the secret behind his impressive transformation. In an interview, ‘The King of Comedy’ reveals that he embarked on his fitness journey sometime in February last year. According to him, eating more, coupled with regular work out sessions has helped him.

“Naturally, I hate food and I have very poor eating habits so I was ingesting, not eating. I was on a mission and it takes a lot of discipline to move from 47kgs to 72kgs. I had even begun a community, ‘skinny people united’ which I have since left but it takes a lot of discipline and time and that is why from January to February, I kind of disappeared from the public scene”

In an Instagram Post, Eric says that after the fight, there will be respect among both of them.

Why Eric Omondi’s ‘Wife Material’ Season Two Won’t Be A Big Deal To Netizens

Self proclaimed King of comedy, Eric Omondi has hinted on proceeding with ‘wife material’ show season two. This comes after the comedian started another one of his own shows dubbed ‘shosholites’. The participants of the show are mainly women aged 65 years and above. The purpose of the show, as stated by Eric Omondi is to showcase their talents.

In ‘wife material’ season one, Eric had managed to pick 9 of the hottest eligible bachelorettes in the country and stuck them all into one house to fight it out for his heart.

Carol Kamweru of Band Beca emerged victorious in the competition, beating the other eight participants.

Eric later went to visit her parents to seek her hand in marriage, which went well. He later married her on a colourful wedding which saw one of the show participants, Shakila, cause drama and chaos during the ceremony. Shakila would later be removed from the venue by security guards.

After having a honeymoon with Carol, Eric would reveal that all this was scripted.

The comedian now seems to be having plans to start Season Two of the show,

”Yes/ No?”

We all know the ramifications of the show, especially after Eric reveals to netizens that the whole show was scripted. This means that this time, not everyone will be excited as we all know it’s planned. Carol From Band Beca Admits She Went To Wife Material To Promote Her Album

Promoting Band Beca album was the initial plan of Carol and Becky when they joined Eric Omondi’s ‘Wife Material’ show.

In an interview on Radio Jambo, the duo admitted that ‘Wife Material’ really helped them grow in the career by giving them the popularity they required.

” I like Eric but I do not. We went to promote our album that will be released next month. People did not know about us as musicians and also we gave people something to smile about during a boring season.”

When she was asked if she had any feelings during the shooting of the show, she genuinely admitted that she felt something for Eric.”

”I’m a human being, I felt something and feelings don’t just disappear. But I have to say, I am not in love with Eric. I do like him though and that hiss was not part of the script. The vibe was right and we went for it.”

However, Band Beca was bashed online after Omondi announced that the program was all scripted and fake, even after saying he had wedded Carol.

In addition, Carol also revealed she had been body shamed,

”It had to be real then and everything I did in the show is what I was feeling at the time. The only time we got backlash was about kissing. Most of those who body shamed us were fellow girls.”

Eric Omondi had a good woman (Chantal) but as far as we know, things did not work out; and the two parted ways after one year of being engaged.

Truth is, fans loved Chantal for Eric Omondi and despite being branded as a snob; her quietness and gentleness always left many feeling warm from the inside. While others claim that she may have linked up with Eric for fame; others feel that her love towards the guy was genuine – but somehow forced.

Drama! Ezekiel Mutua accuses Eric Omondi of promoting online prostitution

Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) CEO Ezekiel Mutua a few days ago went on to accuse Eric Omondi promoting and encouraging underage youths involving themselves in immoral behaviors.

Ezekiel Mutua went on to describe Eric Omondi as an man who has been showing his face in inappropriate videos that should be rated 18+. To him this was just immorality and the sad part is that Eric Omondi was pushing such content in the name of Entertainment. Ezekiel wrote;

“People like Eric Omondi, you wonder what kind of madman is this. You are showing your face on videos in a way that is not appropriate and you are an adult, then call yourself king of comedy in Africa, then why don’t you respect yourself?”

With this, Eric in return hit back by asking the KFCB boss to stop clout chasing his name; a move that many found quite bold.

Now that the show is done and fans know that Carol from Bandbeca is Eric’s real girlfriend; Ezekiel Mutua could not let this slide without him weighing in. In a new post shared on his social media pages; Ezekiel went on to call out Eric Omondi for being a fool, he wrote saying;

So there’s Corona but this fool has been kissing multiple girls and recording these videos in the name of comedy. Another morally bankrupt socialite is recording more videos teaching these young girls how to have sex with Omondi; in the devilish mentorship program known as “Mombasa Raha.”

To prove their beef is real, he went on to accuse the funny man of running a brothel which he now wants the DCI to investigate and arrest Eric Omondi for. In the detailed post, Mutua went on to add;

The facility in Lavington that was opened with hype ostensibly as a studio is nothing short of a brothel. It’s a place where girls are being sexually abused and degraded in the name of art. The fact that women rights groups are quiet when this is happening and the police have not arrested the perpetrators of these obvious crimes is evidence of how low we have sunk as a society. By the time we get tired and stop condoning this nonsense the damage will be too bad to repair. The DCI should immediately move into that brothel in Lavington and arrest the criminals doing these things to our girls in the name of art!”

Eric omondi must be the most disliked man in the country at the moment. This is because he continues to enjoy the company of his ‘girlfriends’ while other men are out here struggling to even bag a single lady for themselves.

The ladies on the other hand cannot help but feel some type of way; especially after seeing how Eric and his team have been treating these ladies. Yes, what started as a joke has left some of these contestants living their best lives and believe me, not everyone is happy about this either.

Eric Omondi is looking for a wife; but I think the search is over especially after his video kissing Bandbeca’s Carol who is a stunning beauty. Well for years many continue to confuse between Beca and Carol but thanks to Eric Omondi we can tell who is who.

Well, Eric and his team are currently in Mombasa where they are shooting another episode of Wife material; but after the chemistry between Eric and Carol – I guess we all know who the wife is.

Eric Omondi has come out to narrate his struggles in an 8-month journey to build muscles that have eventually borne fruit.

The self-proclaimed President of comedy in Africa, speaking on The Trend show, admitted that it got to a point he nearly gave up about ever gaining weight, let alone building muscles.

The fitness journey

“Around February, March, April, I gave up so many times. I was in and out of the gym because I could not see any progress, yet it was so painful,” Eric opened up.

“Nilikuwa najiuliza nafanya nini. Si nifanye tu comedy maisha iendelee,” he remarks.

Sending Amina Abdi into loud laughter, unable to restrain herself from the comedian’s struggles.

However, Eric has declared;

“There’s no going back now.”

Revealing that it has been 8 consistent months of gym training.

“I got a trainer and a nutritionist end of April and I started seeing results around June. One day while in the shower, I saw small bumps on my hand as I stretched and I was impressed,” an excited Eric spilled.

He would even call his trainer to explain how he saw small bumps.

But the day he went to perform in Tz and removed his shirt on stage, the comment section was full of messages about him gaining weight and that is the day he declared he would not stop.

Before Eric’s confession went overboard and Amina Abdi admitted;

“You’re killing me!”

Eric Omondi’s beef with Ezekiel Mutua explained

Talking of his ugly clash with KFCB Boss, Dr Ezekiel Mutua last week, Eric categorically stated that it is not the first time they have crossed paths in that manner.

According to the award-winning comedian, he does not understand why Dr Ezekiel only speaks when something deemed ‘immoral’ happens.

“My main issue with him is: I have never heard him congratulate or encourage artistes. We win awards, I just launched Big Tyme studios but he said nothing. Even as a father, when your son comes home with good grades, tell them congratulations so that when they do wrong, you have the chance to criticize him,” Eric stated.

19-year old Shakilla has opened up about fame, how it nearly drove her into depression and her plans after wedding Eric Omondi.

The campus girl has expressed deep regret in some of her past actions including her viral InstaLive interviews that saw her shoot to fame but similarly saw her name get dragged into all sorts of controversies.

Fame and the pressure

Sadly, she was not prepared for any of the publicity and nearly sank into depression.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with a local publication, Shakilla admitted;

“After the Instagram Live, I was shocked. I woke up and was seeing myself everywhere. I almost went into depression and did not know what to do.”

Clarifying;

“I’m proud of Shakilla but I’m not proud of Shakilla’s actions. There are so many other things I would have done instead of chasing clout in some of those actions”

Sadly opening up that at the end of the day, she holds her family, especially her mum, dear to her heart.

“I’ve done lots of things and the people I expected to be on my side, used me and dumped me. My mum will always be there and she has the best intentions for me,” she broke down to tears.

Marriage & Eric Omondi

Shakilla disclosed that she once was in love, but is currently single and hopes to find her right man.

“He needs to be good-looking because we need to walk in public together and he should love himself first before loving me. The guy should know how to find for his family,” she stated.

When asked about her intentions for Eric Omondi, she stated;

“He’s glowing right now, he’s cute, he has nice hair and I love his comedy. If I am declared Mrs Omondi, he’s going to be the happiest man alive. He’s a happy soul and we’ll make bouncing babies. To my competitors, Eric is mine alone.”

She finishes off by stating that American music icon, Beyonce has always been her source of inspiration, one who stirs in controversy but bounces back stronger and braver.

“In a few years, you will be ashamed of your actions,” Ezekiel Mutua cautions Eric Omondi

The ongoing heated debate between Ezekiel Mutua and Eric Omondi keeps taking different dimensions.

This is following the KFCB Boss’ recent address in Mombasa, calling out the comedian for disrespecting the fact that children can get exposed to his kind of online content which is deemed ‘adult’ content.

Eric came out to address Dr Ezekiel clarifying that he did not deserve to get called out in that manner and especially since the moral cop had allegedly not contributed in any way in the entertainment industry.

In response to that, Eric compared his kind of ‘explicit’ content to the popular WWE wrestling matches that has apparently been;

“Kenya’s favourite TV program generation after generation played on the National Channel KBC for decades now. Lakini PRESIDENT akiunga na aonyeshe Misuli sasa inawauma…” Eric remarked.

Ezekiel Mutua responds

“Celebrities have so much influence on our children and if we don’t raise this conversations our kids will grow thinking that being immoral is ‘cool’,” the Board CEO has stated.

Before clarifying that Eric Omondi is without doubt “one of Africa’s greatest talents and Kenyan’s best” but the only problem the media chief-whip has with him is;

“…he needs to respect himself and obey the law. Let him use his talents to promote positive social values. Youths who follow him must not think that good comedy is nudity or vulgarity!”

In a bid to find his ideal woman, Eric Omondi has received tens of applications from ladies across the board but has arrived at 10 finalists out of which he intends to find ‘The One’.

“Buckle up ladies and Gentlemen!!! You are about to have the ride of a lifetime,” he publicly announced ahead of his much anticipated show launch where each of the 10 finalists will be given a chance to prove themselves as the best.

The launch

A show dubbed ‘Wife Material’ courtesy of his new studios ‘Big Tyme Entertainment’ out of which the comedian reveals;

“The 10 finalists will enter “THE HOUSE” next week and you will get to help me get a wife by voting 9 of them out????‍♂️????‍♂️????????.”

And like he had earlier promised, the one lady who will get to carry the crown at the end of the day, will thereafter wed the comedian in a ‘Wedding of the Year’ to be held on December 26.

Then the rest will be history.

“I will then marry the winner in the Wedding of the year on the 26th December and head out for our honeymoon. Have children and start a family????‍????‍????‍????????‍????‍????‍????,” Eric affirms.

Among individuals who made their wife applications are an including 19-year old Shakilla having already labelled Eric as ‘her husband’.

Kenyan female music duo, Band Beca also send in their applications whose voices have since seen the comedian move to cloud 9.

Question is, who gets to win the prize?

KFCB Boss, Dr Ezekiel Mutua has not spared entertainers in the local scene taking advantage of digital media to push content he believes is explicit for children, especially the kinds of Eric Omondi.

During his recent visit to Mombasa, the moral police boss through a local publication, publicly addressed the ‘rot’ in the entertainment space.

The board CEO expressed deep disappointment with the fact that content creators had now put aside the stipulated TV and radio watershed period regulations.

And have instead migrated to social media where they are now dishing out all sorts of unfiltered content.

The censure

Directly hitting at Eric Omondi;

“In fact some people like Eric, unashangaa huyu ni mwendawazimu gani, ana heshima gani? Anajionyesha kwa video kwa njia ambayo haifai na yeye ni mtu mzima. All in the name of ‘President of comedy in Africa’,” he publicly censured the comedian.

“King of comedy, respect yourself, respect the children and do some of those things but with a disclaimer of parental control. Our job is not to monitor what adults are doing,” he categorically stated.

An address by the ethic board chairman that has caused a buzz online, attracting the attention of an including Eric Omondi who has since responded.

The 43-year old funny man is clearly irritated by the words of the KFCB Boss, clapping back in a long statement, warning;

“DR. Ezekiel Mutua. This is your last warning. This is not the way to address the PRESIDENT of an entire Continent.”

Before calling out Dr Ezekiel for always lashing out at entertainers while there really is nothing he is offering them in return.

“Stop using my name for these cheap PUBLICITY stunts????????????…I have never understood exactly what you do for a living. You have not helped the Entertainment Industry in any way.”

Categorically stating;

“Please Visit Eric Omondi Studios and see what we are about to do to help young and upcoming TALENTS. Don’t ever address me or use my name again. You don’t know my story!!! You don’t understand my process!!!”

A discussion that has since raised anxiety among the Kenyan public.

Comedian Eric Omondi’s call for wife applications seems to be bearing him fruit after tens of ladies came out in a bid to fill the vacant position including 19-year old Shakilla.

The top comedian’s quest in search for an ideal wife started off early in the week, admitting that as he continues to age gracefully, he has everything apart from a wife.

All that ladies needed to do was share videos of themselves regards the application then Kenyans can decided who best suits the top comic.

Interestingly, upcoming socialite Shakilla tried her luck as well. However, in different fashion.

Shakilla’s application

In a 2-minute video showing her prowess in the Queen’s language, the campus girl reveals she came across the application doing the rounds and wonders why Eric did not even call her first before the announcement.

Believing she would make a good wife from day one.

But clarified she is not in the business of wife duties like cooking and cleaning, because she comes in as an entrepreneur and with a package of good vibes.

Showing off her alleged cowshed at the rear of the house, clarifying to Eric that inclusive of her dowry payments are a number of cows to top up what she already has.

Shakilla does get pretty sarcastic towards the end, flaunting her skills and expertise in being an ideal wife for the comedian.

A video of her that has attracted massive attention online, some feeling sorry for the girl, others not sure she befits Eric’s profile as some actually gave her the go-ahead.

The situation has gotten bad enough to the extent that Eric Omondi has now gone public to appeal to Kenyans for help in finding a suitable wife because he has everything, apart from one, a wife.

His appeal had zero qualifications, regardless of age, race, all he needs is a woman who believes she is wife material enough to take care of the comedian as he continues to age gracefully.

Having achieved the strides he has so far in the comedy industry not just in Africa but globally, the 43-year old comic has made it clear that he has the capacity to take care of a wife, sadly, he is yet to find one.

“I am Eric Omondi, God has blessed me with a successful career, 2 houses, cars and money, everything apart from the most important thing, woman. That is the missing link in my life,” he publicly appeals.

In the online video that has since gone viral, Eric believes that 47 Million Kenyans with his interests at heart, would not disappoint him in the national quest for a woman who best suits his kind of profile.

Clarifying that this is no comedy, this is no joke, matter of fact, once Kenyans vote for an ideal woman, he promises to walk her down the isle.

“I believe in the older African traditional setting, young men like myself were helped by the community to get a perfect wife. Even Tanzania, even Uganda, just send a video, post it and tag me then Kenyans will pick a wife material for me.”

Kid you not, the announcement went up barely 17 hours ago and so far, numerous applications have been sent his way. From men to women; Malindi to Nyeri; young to older; born again to Muslim, it’s crazy.

But what caught the attention of fans is a man who openly and confidently appealed to be Eric Omondi’s wife and Kenyans could just not take it.

In a video, the man who identified himself as Benson Mwangi stated;

“Hello, I have been having a crush on Eric Omondi for a long time, he’s a nice guy. I want to tell him I can be a best wife for him,” the guy admits before closing off with a wide smile.

The comedian was left in disbelief as fans asked him to deal with what he asked for.

Eric Omondi denied being the father to Jacque Maribe’s son, Zahari, for a long time until he recently came public about it.

Unfortunately, looking back, he wishes that Jacque and him would get back to being an item now that they are both single, something that the former Citizen TV journalist has come open about.

During her exclusive with Carole Mandi, Jacque admitted she always looked forward to holding her own baby, after two miscarriages but Eric was not.

“I think we were at different spaces in our lives. He did not look at it as a serious relationship and now we have a baby. But he still wants to have all the girls and the groupies etc,” Jacque opened up.

“I keep telling him, we kind of messed up crossing the line. We were very good friends from the beginning but given a chance to become great friends again, I would never cross that line,” Jacque admitted.
