Shakib Cham Lutaaya has reacted to Kenyan musician Ali Yusuf, popularly known as Arrow Bwoy’s, request for a rematch following their highly publicised clash at the Vurugu 2 celebrity boxing event in Nairobi.
Arrow Bwoy called for a second encounter on Monday, June 22, 2026, suggesting that the rematch should take place in Kampala, Uganda.
While acknowledging Shakib’s victory in their first fight, the Kenyan singer said fans deserved another opportunity to see the two face off when both fighters were fully prepared.
“Respect to Shakib for the victory in our first encounter. He was the better man on the night. But I believe the fans deserve to see this rivalry settled with both fighters fully prepared and at their best,” Arrow Bwoy said as he officially requested the rematch.
However, Shakib appeared unfazed by the challenge when he responded on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. The Ugandan fighter questioned who exactly was calling for another fight in Kampala, while also reminding fans of how their first meeting ended.
“Who wants a rematch in Kampala?” Shakib wrote.
He also shared a link to the Vurugu 2 bout, encouraging followers to watch the full technical knockout victory.
“Watch full Technical Knockout here,” he added.
Shakib vs Arrow Bwoy Rivalry
The two entertainers have developed a heated cross-border rivalry over the past year, with their exchanges eventually leading to a boxing match at the Vurugu 2 event held at the Sarit Expo Centre in Nairobi.
Inside the ring, Shakib dominated the contest and secured a technical knockout victory over Arrow Bwoy, bringing an end to months of online exchanges and pre-fight hype.
The victory was a major statement for Shakib, who entered the fight determined to prove himself against the Kenyan star on home soil.
Despite the defeat, Arrow Bwoy insisted the rivalry is not over. The singer revealed that he had only trained for about 20 days before the fight and believes a rematch would provide a better measure of both fighters’ abilities.
He also proposed Kampala as the venue for the second showdown, saying Ugandan fans deserved the chance to witness the contest live and adding another chapter to the growing Kenya-Uganda celebrity boxing rivalry.
For now, it remains unclear whether Shakib will accept the challenge, but Arrow Bwoy’s call has already reignited interest among fans eager to see the two rivals meet again.
