Heads Up! Kenya Met Department Warns Of Wet & Windy Weekend

Get ready for a wet and windy weekend across much of Kenya, with heavy rainfall expected in the Central Highlands, including Nairobi, Western Kenya, the Lake Victoria Basin, and the Rift Valley regions. These downpours could lead to flooding, waterlogged roads, and disruptions to travel plans.

The rain is expected to persist throughout the weekend, and residents in these areas should be on high alert. Don’t wait until Monday! Northwestern Kenya can also expect showers starting May 20th, with a chance of heavy bursts that could cause similar issues.

But that’s not all! Strong southerly and southeasterly winds exceeding 25 knots (45 mph) are forecast for the eastern half of the country and the northwest. These winds pose a safety risk, potentially bringing down branches, blowing debris, and creating other hazards, especially in open and elevated areas.

Pastor Kanyari Throws Shade At Kikuyu Men For Not Taking Up Responsibility

In the video, Kanyari links a high number of single mothers to a specific ethnicity (Kikuyu) and suggests financial irresponsibility as a cause.

It’s important to address the limitations of Kanyari’s claims. Single parenthood in Kenya likely stems from various factors, and attributing it solely to ethnicity or spending habits is inaccurate. National statistics or research studies would provide a more complete picture.

The video also mentions single mothers raising children without fathers due to divorce or separation. This is a growing trend worldwide, not limited to a specific Kenyan community.

UK Provides Ksh 140 Million To Aid Kenyan Flood Relief Efforts

The United Kingdom, through the British High Commission in Nairobi, has announced a critical contribution of over Ksh.140 million to support Kenyan flood relief efforts.

These funds will be directed towards UNICEF to bolster emergency humanitarian aid. This includes delivering essential services like healthcare, nutrition, sanitation, and safe drinking water to communities devastated by the recent heavy rains and floods.

“The situation facing many Kenyans due to the extreme weather and subsequent flooding is devastating,” stated British High Commissioner to Kenya, Neil Wigan. “This urgent funding from the UK aims to alleviate the suffering of those displaced and impacted by this crisis.”

Wigan emphasized the UK’s solidarity with Kenya during this emergency. They pledged continued collaboration with UNICEF, the Kenyan government, and other partners to maximize the effectiveness of the relief response.

Focus on Urgent Needs and Cholera Prevention

UNICEF will utilize the funds to provide cash assistance to roughly 6,900 households in the counties most severely affected. Additionally, they will establish crucial health, nutrition, and sanitation services through integrated outreach programs. This includes providing displaced families with safe drinking water, temporary sanitation facilities, and hygiene kits.

Grim Statistics Highlight Crisis

As of Sunday, May 5th, 2024, official government records indicate that the heavy rains and floods have tragically claimed the lives of 228 people. Another 72 individuals remain missing, with growing fears for their safety. At least 164 people have sustained injuries.

The floods have displaced a staggering 42,526 households, impacting approximately 212,630 Kenyans.

UNICEF Kenya Representative Shaheen Nilofer expressed gratitude for the UK’s donation. She highlighted the critical role cash transfers play in providing much-needed support to families struggling in the wake of the floods.

James Wanjohi, accused of defrauding thousands in a Ksh 600 million job scam, has denied all allegations.

Wanjohi claims he hasn’t been a preacher for two years and suggests his political rivals fabricated the “pastor” label to discredit him. He maintains his innocence and says he’s been following the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on social media, with no official warrant for his arrest.

Wanjohi suggests his competitors orchestrated the entire scheme to damage his reputation. He claims the accusations, including the alleged number of victims and stolen money, were designed to make him appear as hateful and untrustworthy as possible.

Meanwhile, Wanjohi’s recruitment agency, WorthStart, remains closed while authorities investigate. Some staff are reportedly detained, while Wanjohi’s whereabouts are unknown. He claims to fear for his safety.

Prior to the police raid on his home, Wanjohi was known for flaunting a lavish lifestyle on social media. However, he has since deactivated his accounts.

Aki mapenzi wewe…..this is literally one of the most over used lines by kenyans complaining about love but this time around, I am using it to show you that once youre in love – you fall so hard that you overlook your partners imperfections.

Don’t believe it? Well lets use Edday and Samidoh’s situation. As you already know – these two were said to have some marital issues after Samidoh was linked to Karen Nyamu….and although we all knew what was going on, Samidoh for some reason decided to impress his first wife Edday Nderitu – by publicly denying Karen Nyamu as he claimed he only has one wife.

This was however just after their (Samidoh and Karen) first child…and barely 6 months after denying her in public; Karen Nyamu came out to reveal that they were expecying baby number two. Yes, baby number 2 with a man that had just publicly denied her….and as for Edday – well i bet she just felt used or played by Samidoh…..but funny thing is – she stuck around.

Tanasha Donna is very attractive and I can tell that when she enters a room – her presences is noticed immediately but even with all that fineness; Diamond Platnumz couldn’t find a reason to chase her after she decided to come back to Kenya.

From what I remember is that Diamond Platnumz moved on as if nothing happened; and Tanasha having left his home made her feel like she had dumped the WCB CEO who we all know likes to trigger his women into leaving by starting affairs around.

Rumor had it back then that just like Wema Sepetu, Zari Hassan and Hamisa Mobetto – Diamond Platnumz handled Tanasha Donna the same way by replacing her with Patricia Aika Matthyse who is producer ‘P Funk’ Majani’s daughter.

Well, with the photo shared above – i guess its only fair to see that inorder for Dimaond Platnumz to get rid of Tanasha – he had to cheat with someone of her caliber (in terms of looks) and Tanasha being one with a big ego….she left in such a mess that her Prado was repossessed by Diamond Platnumz.

Samidoh may have lost his parents but their memory remains fresh in his mind because they raised him to become a man of substance and ome that values what family means.

Well, just like you and I have faults…so does he but then again this does not define who he is. Anyway for those who dont know, Samidoh lost his father (a policeman) who was caught in tribal clashes a few years back and later on lost his mum – leaving him and his 5 siblings as orphans.

Speaking about his parents death a while back, the celebrated Mugithii singer said;

Despite it being years since he lost his parents – Samidoh still remembers them. To celebrate his late mum, Samidoh recently shared a Tbt photo to which he wrote;

He went further to reveal that if not for her, he wouldn’t be the man he is today. He also mourned her for leaving them too early…but this being the will of God he now has two daughters named after her.

Well, after claiming the photo was taken as part of movie she had been cast on – Amber Ray has now changed her tune and says – yes the photo was taken after visiting a shrine but what she didn’t know is that someone had taken the photo.

Get this, now that she has nothing to lose and of course with her fame and money – Amber Ray recently confessed through her YT channel saying her second ex husband who doubles up as a politician is the one who took her to the shrine; only for him to take a photo of her without her knowledge – and worse use it against her by claiming she was trying to bewitch him so that he would leave his family for her. She said;

The saddest part is, the person who took that photo of me holding the hens, the same person who I was accused I went to the witch doctor to bewitch- is the person who took me there and took that picture without me knowing.

Willis Raburu says he does bot wish divorce on anyone, actually if he had a choice – maybe he would still be married to his ex wife, Maryaprude; but life happened and almost 2 years later he is actually happier than ever.

As you already know, Willis Raburu’s marriage to Maryaprude crumbled after losing their first child together during birth. From what he says is that the loss hit him so hard to a point he lost himself grieving hence creating more problems in his marriage.

Speaking on his failed marriage to Maryaprude, Willis Raburu took all the blame saying he concentrated on himself forgetting that they were two; and above all – alcohol and long drives is what he wanted at the time…and kist like that everything came down crushing down on him;

It was extremely tough and painful, especially my show you need energy, so it became an acting gig. I would get into the show, do it then cry all the way home.

Both being first time parents with alot going on behind closed doors and still in mourning – Willis Raburu says it got to a point where he had no option but to initiate for a divorce.

I initiated the process of divorce and all respect to her.

Adding that although it was not his intentions to marry and divorce her – there was no alternative; and come to think of it – maybe everything happened for the best.

Unfortunately, it happened. Nobody goes into a marriage with hopes to come out. I am happy that sometimes we lost ourselves. We divorced officially and I moved on.

Jalango’s former employee Omundu says he is broke & afraid his wife will leave him

Eli Omundu who once worked with former friend, Morrison Litiema has been having it rough since returning the ksh 400,000 he was left with after splitting the Ksh 1M they stole from their boss Jalango a few months ago.

According to the fella he blames the devil for his actions and if anything is embarrassed and regrets what he did to Jalango; a man that had given him a job, friendship and above all – Trust only to be betrayed in the end.

As you already know, the two allegedly returned part of the money from the ksh 1 which they’d split half half. Eli says he turned 400k after spending 100k on the run. This is because he felt sorry for having stolen from his boss and was hoping maybe he should take him back now that the grass looks greener after winning Langata parliamentary seat.

Situation is too tough

Well, so far he has tried reaching his former boss but all his efforts end up in vain. According to Eli, his former boss has refused to speak with him hence making it hard to ask for his job back.

He went on to add the reason he is begging Jalango to take him back is because he has nothing; and his family is really struggling since both him and wife are jobless.

I don’t have even a coin left from the money we took, and that’s why I am struggling back at home. I have been farming and selling trees from my land until there’s no more left. Even my children are still at home as I can’t afford to take them to school. My wife heard about it and she could not believe it because she loved my boss.

With the man of the house not bringing in anything to the table, Eli now fears his wife might leave him for someone else.

My marriage is even in jeopardy and I am afraid my wife may decide to leave any time all because of the wrong I did.

However from their social media pages – looks like baby is still in the oven but not for long that is judging from how big the baby bump has grown; and chances are that Celestine has a few more days before delivery.

Anyway before the new born gets here, the couple recently held a lavish baby shower that saw only close friends and relatives attend.

Mishi Dora is finally off the hook after her sponza allegedly cleared the ksh 152k she owed popular club, Golden Bistro located along Mombasa Road.

From what we heard is that Mishi and her friends enjoyed both expensive foods and drinks but when it came down to paying – actress Mishi Dora said her ATM card wasn’t functioning well.

Kansiime hits out at critics who called her barren with beautiful baby bump photos

Comedienne Anne Kansiime is expecting her first child with musician Skylanta aka Abraham Tukahiirwa; who she moved on with after divorcing husband, Gerald Ojuok.

The funny lady announced their pregnancy on Thursday, 15th April in a post where she wrote;

I have been looking for the perfect way to break it to you my dearest Ninjas that soon my Kantu @skylantagram and i shall have a little Ninja added on to our family and i thooooought and thought, what better way!!? ????

Sacrificed her uterus?

With a baby on the way – this not only brought happiness to the couple; but also helped shut down rumors claiming Kansiime is barren. For years many claimed that the lass had sacrificed her uterus for fame; a rumor she could not address since there was no way to prove the critics wrong.

Speaking about this in an interview, the comedienne said;

Some people were trying to figure out why I did not have kids with my ex-husband Gerald Ojok. So they said that I had sold my uterus for fame. The sad thing is even if it is not true there is no way you can be able to show people that your uterus is still intact.

Hamisa Mobetto’s heart must have been racing faster than a sports car moments after coming across photos of her first baby daddy, Majizzo; hanging out with her second baby daddy, Diamond Platnumz.

Judging from the photos shared on social media; we understand that the two media gurus met during the late Tanzanian president’s Magufuli’s requiem mass held this past weekend.

From the photos, the two men appear to be talking and unlike what was reporter earlier; clearly there is no beef between these two. In fact, according to gossip monger Juma Lokole – his boss Diamond Platnumz and Majizzo are actually very good friends.

Although rumor has it that these two are not in good terms with their baby mama, Hamisa Mobetto; they continue to support their kids accordingly.

So far Hamisa Mobetto remains unbothered as she has moved on with millionaire Fred Vunja Bei who allegedly treats her like a queen. Rumor has it that the business man paid for her body to be reconstructed; and yes, Hamisa’s new body is definitely banging!

Hamisa Mobetto likes to filter both her son and daughter whenever she shares their photos online. Probably because she wishes they were born light skinned like her; but I bet she forgets the fact that her babies have dark skinned fathers.

Of course it is no secret that we all know that she sometimes over uses the filters; but during this Christmas break, a bold fan went on to question whether Fancy is light skinned or has a dark complexion like that of daddy, Majizzo.

This is because most of the photos shared by Majizzo confirm that baby Fancy is actually dark; while Hamisa Mobetto on the other hand tends to post lightskinned version of her daughter.

Well, if you ask me, Hamisa Mobetto is not the only mother using filter on her babies; but come on…. why over do it when her father is proud of the daughter he has. Anyway, I guess this is why the curious fan went on to question Hamisa in the comment section where she wrote;

Sauti Sol have been making headlines for the wrong reasons this past week; but this is because they not only left their fans stranded and confused after cancelling Sol Saturday but because they also lied.

Well according to a statement released by Sauti Sol’s management, the boy band cancelled Sol Saturday due to the huge crowd that was expected to turn out. According to them, they felt that the venue was too small to hold this crowd; and seeing how Covid – 19 has killed hundreds of thousands they couldn’t put their fans at risk.

Of course this sounds like a legit thoughtful thought that they would put their fans first; despite knowing that they would suffer some losses at the end of the day. For a minute fans bought the story until one a video done by
Kari’s Kitchen, one of the Food Venders at the event emerged online.

The truth?

According to Kari, Sauti Sol called off the concert because they did not like the stage setup; and since we all know these boys have a particular liking to their image, they decided to cancel. In the video making rounds on social media Kari is heard claiming that they lied about the Covid-19 precaution story they had talked about earlier.

But since we cannot really tell who is lying or why Sauti Sol would want to stain their image with such a petty move; the boy band has now decided to make up for the cancelled event.

As seen on their social media pages, Sauti Sol is planning to hold another gig dubbed ‘A Sol Christmas’ on 25th December. Although the gig will be online, at least it will help make up last weeks disappointment; but problem is Kenyans want nothing to do with this.

Tanasha Donna opens up about son’s new found relationship with daddy, Diamond Platnumz

Tanasha Donna may have walked out on ex boyfriend Diamond about 8 months ago but the young mum has no reason to keep son Naseeb Junior away from his papa. After months of not communicating or receiving no child support, seems like Tanasha and ex have finally settled their issues.

Well this was revealed by Tanasha who recently went on to reveal that ex Diamond Platnumz is currently supporting his son; and so far as baby Naseeb’s relationship with daddy is concerned – the two are just fine.

According to Tanasha Donna, Baba Naseeb has been paying for his son bills including future education; which is every single mum’s dream. At first many may have assumed that Diamond Platnumz would turn out to be a deadbeat dad but although he was for a few months – the fella at least now knows where his son sleeps, what he eats and pays for his entertainment too.

Speaking about this, Tanasha who has been keeping low profile about her son’s whereabouts said;

He is paying for his education right now, taking care of him and making an effort. I like what he is doing to his kids. He’s making an effort to be there for them and I’m proud of him

Deadbeat

Although Tanasha Donna is not the first one to accuse Diamond Platnumz of being a deadbeat dad; we also saw Hamisa Mobetto and Zari Hassan do the same. However as time went by the Bongo singer eventually changed and has been quite active in his children lives.

Willy Paul is disappointed with how artists in the country behave. Well the singer claims that these artists often feel it’s better to post and support international; or Tanzanian artist applauding them for their job well done. But when it comes to local artists they ghost.

This comes weeks after releasing his Songs of Solomon album and surprisingly no Kenyan artist even stepped in to show their support. Speaking about this in his well detailed post, Willy Paul went on to refer to these artists as selfish and jealous. He went on to add that the only time they actually appreciate a person is after he/she is dead.

Big man Bazuu! Genge artist Mejja makes surprising revelation about his collaborations

Singer Mejja has had a successful year and after years of many underrating his music; the Genge artist finally got his breakthrough and like never before we now appreciate the type of content he gives his fans through his music.

So far Kenyans and the East African region continue to celebrate Mejja; but a few characters here and there have decided to ruin his image by conning fans on social media.

As seen on a new post shared by Mejja, he goes on to distance himself from a post claiming he took Ksh 12,ooo for an interview. As seen on the post shared by Mejja, a guy identified as Kevin Anyango who hosts a podcast claims to have paid Mejja for an interview; but unfortunately he never showed up.

The fella went on to describe Mejja as extremely arrogant, extortionist among other big names… the guy wrote;

Having come across the post Mejja decided to respond to this guy’s accusations; and boy did Mejja reveal shocking and unknown details.

Apparently he does not own a Facebook account nor does he charge for interviews. In his post for the very first time Mejja went on to reveal that he does not charge for collaborations too; which left us wondering how he then makes money at the end of the day.

Othuol Othuol father speaks about his son’s life – regrets not supporting his comedy career

The late Othuol Othuol was last night celebrated by friends, family and fans who turned up at the Kenya National Theater. The ceremony saw the likes of Churchill, Jalang’o, Butita and others attend as they finally said their goodbyes to the funny man who recently lost his battle to brain tumor.

Indeed this has been a tough year for comedians in the Kenyan Laugh industry as they have lost quite a number of comedians; not forgetting those who continue to silently battle with depression.

However losing Othuol Othuol has now confirmed that something has to be done in order to avoid a recurrence of what has been happening in the comedy industry.

Anyway thanks to a popular Instagram news outlet; we have a few details concerning Othuol Othuol’s dad and why he never supported his son venturing into comedy.

Unlike many know, Othuol Othuol got a B- in High school and just like any other parent; his father hoped his son would go to university and pursue a good course. However this never happened as he chose to work on his comedy career which he held on to until his last breathe.

According to the 56-year-old Mr Omondi, comedy for him sounded like a lazy man’s job but with time he came to learn the truth;

“In my mind, I saw comedy for people who were idle; who don’t want to work hard and want things very easy,”

With time Mr Omondi learnt to embrace his late son’s dream hence started supporting him; but death being cruel, it snatched him away with no warning.

When asked whether he still views comedy as a lazy man’s job; Mr Omondi said;

“No, no! In fact from that is when I knew when a child wants to… You must identify your kid’s talent and be serious with it because he started very early but I realized late. Instead of encouraging him, I was discouraging him.”
