For Diana, it was surprise event-turned-tearful moment amazed at just how much God had done for her.

Gorgeous KBC TV health journalist, Purity Museo, broke the news to fans after her COVID-19 test results were released.

Purity’s signs and symptoms

The stunning beauty revealed she had been having headache, body pain and lack of smell since Sunday evening before she decided to test for the virus.

So last evening, test results showed she is infected with the deadly virus, forcing her into isolation and home-based care.

Sharing with fans her prescription medicine, Purity penned;

“I am on medication/isolation at home following doctor’s advice. Keep me in your prayers and stay safe.”

News that saw journalists from across the board hold her hand and comfort her, wishing her nothing but a quick recovery.

Just early July 2020, 2 reporters from the national broadcaster contracted the virus including the popular Bonnie Musambi. Similarly Citizen TV’s Stephen Letoo and Jeff Koinange who later recovered.

Being a music artist especially in the secular space comes with a lot of responsibilities. Some you never expected but will occasionally bump into because that is the package.

It is not once or twice but multiple times, have musicians across the globe narrated weird encounters with fans, be it on stage or along the streets.

Fans are fans and just like the name suggests, you should not expect any less. They get wild and go overboard just for you.

Otile Brown’s moment of fame

It is no different in the local scene, with the good-looking R&B singer Otile Brown narrating some of his crazy encounters with fans.

During his interview with Mseto East Africa, Otile recalled how one time, a fan literally punched him on the face during the confusion and struggle by fans trying to touch an artist, during a performance.

Well, Otile did not take it offensively, because he believed the fan had no ill intentions and was just doing what they do – go crazy on their favorite artist.

However, that was not as bad. One time, a fan literally jumped on the artist and hang on his neck and Otile did not know what to do.

At the time, he had not come along with bodyguards and that is why ever since, he walks around with at least one bodyguard because you never know who you might come across.

Anyway, Otile admitted that handling fans is not something easy, sometimes they can land you in trouble when you least expect.

The chick burst into tears, falling to the ground with his ‘romantic’ babe holding her together.

Not until it turned out that the comedian had randomly spotted the vehicle in the estate, quickly covered it up in funny clothing before presenting it to his ‘significant other’.

RIP! Kenyan comedians hold night vigil to bid the late Othuol Othuol goodbye

The comedy fraternity came together to mourn and celebrate the life of the late Othuol Othuol by holding an emotional night vigil.

With majority of talents in the comedy industry having been realized and molded at the Kenya National Theater, before spreading their wings to greener pastures, that became the preferred venue for the evening event.

A good number first congregated in the theater, for a fundraiser towards his burial expenses.

Thereafter lighting candles and matching to a common ground just outside the theater where they paid tribute to the deceased.

Jalang’o, Mwalimu Churchill, Nasra Yusuf among other comedians were in attendance.

Othuol’s last days

Othuol Othuol breathed his last in a tragic event just as he was about to go into surgery for his brain tumor at Kenyatta National Hospital.

There before, the Churchill show star battled TB that had a toll on his health which has since taken him through so much pain and numerous visits to the hospital.

Soon after his death announcement, fellow comedians, close family and friends and the nation at large mourned a rising star and a man who added years into the lives of many through his comical theatrics.

Even though, it is a loss for the comedy fraternity and Kenya at large, many believe it is his time to rest and wish him a safe journey through, until they meet again.

His body is set to be laid to rest on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at his ancestral home in Ndere, Alego, Siaya County.

May his soul find eternal rest.

Ex-NTV journalist Lolani Kalu bags new lucrative TV job

After his plight went viral, former NTV journalist Lolani Kalu has finally made a comeback into the lucrative media industry after landing a new TV role.

The multi-linguist and poet’s media career was tested after retiring from the Nation Media Group-owned TV station, where he worked as a journalist for 17 years, for special editions like Malimwengu. A move that eventually sank him into abject poverty.

However, all is not lost after the veteran bagged a new TV role as Coast Region reporter for Mount Kenya University-owned TV station, TV47. Where he is set to cover features on 6 counties.

Sources indicate that Lolani has signed a 1-year contract as the regional reporter with the TV station and will be based at the Mombasa bureau.

Njoro the comedian makes major comeback after long battle with depression

Njoro the comedian is back home after a 9-week admission into rehab.

His story went viral after confessing to the public, through fellow comedienne, Zainabu Zeddy that he had been battling depression for a while and even attempted suicide thrice.

Netizens came to his rescue, with many willing to offer him the support he needed, just to get back in shape to take care of his children and mother.

Soon after, the frail-looking 28-year old was booked in for therapy, forcing him to take a break off social media.

9 weeks later, the funny guy looks rejuvenated and recuperating well, while publicly announcing “we are back …”

A story he would never have lived to tell were it not for the massive support he received especially from fellow comedians in the local industry.

Funny man Chipukeezy seems to have taken a break when it comes to his career in comedy; however he continues to reach out to many youths through his NACADA projects that have seen him change his lifestyle from middle class – to those of ‘young sponsors’ in Nairobi.

For a while now he has not been making news and for this reason many continue to assume that he is no longer in the business of making fans laugh; but with a job with the board of NACADA – why would he choose to struggle?

Word making rounds on social media is that Frankie Just Gym It; and his family allegedly had his ex, Maureen Waititu thrown out of their home following their ugly break up.

Well, according to reports Maureen and her two boys already moved to a new place; that is after being asked to vacate the same house given to them by Frankie’s mum.

Details about this story however remain known only to those close to the former couple; however thanks to Edgar Obare’s followers – we have every reason to believe that there could be some truth behind rumor claiming Maureen was kicked out. This is after one follower posted to say;

This however comes shortly after Frankie Just Gym it went on to disclose that Ms Waititu had denied him access to his sons. In this post, the gym trainer however wished his son a happy birthday; but not everyone was pleased with the way he washed his dirty linen in a post meant for his 5 year old.

As seen on most of the comments left by fans on the post and comments shared by Edgar Obare from his fans; many blame the two parents for dragging their children in this mess.

Still in their 7th wedding anniversary mood, the gospel DJ treated his light skin babe and mother to his 2 children to an exclusive yacht ride by the coast, in a romantic-filled event.

The couple, fully dressed in all-white attire, looks like young lovebirds still in their honeymoon stage, spoiling each other with love and laughter.

For DJ Mo, the cheating scandals had only strengthened their marriage and with such a supportive and strong-willed woman by his side, it is only fair that he gives her the best life has to offer.

And for sure, Size 8 could not get enough of it.

The inside covered up in comfy leather seats, complete with a bedroom for the two and a sitting area.

The fascinating bit of it is when the cheeky DJ leads his wife into the bedroom area before declaring to the camera, that it is high time they had baby number 3. “Lazima tutafute mtoto wa tatu,” he announced.

Nothing ever broke Kamene Goro like her first serious relationship with a Tanzanian mogul who instead took her for granted.

The 28-year old started her professional journey as a lawyer before sneaking into Broadcast Journalism which she felt spoke to her more.

According to her dad, a career in journalism was unheard of. Forcing her to take up Law which she did but soon as she was done, sneaked into TV without her dad’s knowledge.

At the time, the lass had landed a prime job at Ebru TV then bang, showed up a man who she believed was her everything.

Kamene ties the knot

Barely aged 23, Kamene eloped to Zanzibar with her man, ditching her job at Ebru, got married and started living in Tanzania with her new husband.

“I knew it’s the person I wanted to be with. I knew what I was doing. He was a great guy but with despicable behavior. I left my job, family and everything to be with him. I was happy to be his wife,” stated Kamene.

Years later, she introduced her man to her parents who did not like the guy but Kamene was not about to give up her man, forcing her parents to just bless their marriage.

Unfortunately, hardly had the young couple started ‘living the life’ that the guy showed some uncouth behavior.

“It was a very tough relationship. I was very angry with the things he was doing. He stepped out a lot and it was detrimental for me. I could not understand how I left my career, country, family, everything just to be someone’s wife and this is how he pays me back.”

So one day, at midday, she packs up everything of hers, knowing she would never return to that house before flying into Kenya. A day later, her husband calls to tell her “we can’t be together anymore.”

According to the musician, they were heading to JKIA to catch a flight to an unknown destination, but that was just to confuse his wife.

On arrival at the stadium, an emotional Bahati broke down to tears, with a long testimony of just how much of a strong, supportive and blessing of a wife he has.

“For those 5 years, you have been abused, criticized, trolled but you remained strong and for that, receive your gift no. 5,” Bahati sweetly confessed.

Soon as he removed the blindfold, a broken Diana Marua fell to the ground in tears. Turning into a teary-filled event before realizing the car gift is a Mercedes Benz and she turned crazy.

Like she had not done enough of crying, Bahati went down on his knees with a ring in hand and renewed his promise to Diana, to forever love and treasure her.

Gymnast Frankie Just Gym It and ex Maureen Waititu will take a while before they fully adjust to the fact that they have to deal with each other; whether they like it or not!

So far the two have been maintaining a low profile and unlike before, they even stopped posting stuff throwing shade at each other. Well, just when we almost got comfortable with the new ‘peace of mind’ and the two are back at each other’s necks.

It all started after Frankie Just Gym It decided to send a moving message to his firstborn son, Lexi who turned 5 on Tuesday, 20 October. Through his Instagram page, Frankie wrote;

When you came into this world, you brought a love so pure I had never before experienced. When you spoke your first word, walked your first steps, I became your biggest fan. With every milestone you reached, I reveled in joy. You taught me the meaning of love — true, unconditional love.

He went on to add another piece of advice reminding his son that life has both the bitter and sweet side. He went on to add;

Towards the end, Frankie went on to remind his son that he should remember that despite everything that has happened; he remains precious to him! He wrote;

However things seem to have gone south after reading what the father of 3 wrote in his last paragraph dedicated to his son. He went on to add that his ex denied him access to this kids; something that should have remained in the family until the heat goes down.

Since I have no access to you, I’ll pass these words on and hope they find you. Be true to yourself always. Live your own dreams. Don’t take life so seriously. Actress Wema Sepetu has been longing for a child for a very long tie now; but despite all her efforts she remains childless at the age of 30.

Just recently she revealed that her weight loss journey was aimed at helping her conceive; however it turned risky as she was exposed to rays and medications that would have brought cancer. For this reason, she has been living a healthy lifestyle hoping for the day she carries her own child.

But as she waits for the doctor’s assessment on whether she can bare children; Wema continues to make it known that she is quite desperate to have a child of her own who will call her ‘mummy.’

The WaJesus couple is in for a heated argument after an ungrateful Kabi WaJesus decided to return his wife’s expensive surprise car gift because he just does not like it.

Kabi, in the absence of his wife, told fans how unsatisfied he is with the car despite the brand-newness and the fact that his wife had put in millions to surprise him on his big day.

According to him, he prefers the Audi Q5 to their current Audi A5, which is KSh 1Million plus what Milly bought him.

The heated debate

His wife came into the discussion, furious at her husband with whom she had spent several hours arguing over which car to purchase, even before she had bought him the car.

So what happened, Milly had tried inquiring from her husband which Audi model he prefers and even after telling him that an Audi A5 would not work on the bumpy Kenyan roads, he still went for it.

So Milly went ahead to plan to get it before his birthday. But now days later, Kabi wants an Audi Q5 instead and this did not sit well with his wife.

The two ended up missing their meeting amidst a heated argument. When they get to the car dealers, in a bid to inquire about a possible car exchange, Kabi had changed his mind again, going for a more powerful Audi A5 and this totally put off his wife.

The pair was left gambling over the issue. Meanwhile, fans believe Kabi took back the car because it was just for show off and not rightly theirs.

The most recent story, is one told by the platform founder himself, Mwalimu Churchill. Whose name has been dragged in mud time and again as young comedians continue to languish in poverty. A number loosing their lives in unclear circumstances.

The Godfather of comedy in Kenya believes that so many upcoming comedians lack the ability to efficiently manage their money while busy chasing ‘the social media lifestyle’.

The minute a comedian starts earning some good money, they attract a certain circle of friends. Some good, others not so good.

Remember, a stand-up comedian of this kind, is not guaranteed a monthly salary, so when you spend all you have today, tomorrow you might have to live without.

“One of the biggest challenge in the entertainment industry is the social media. So you have a big name, have a big following and you have to impress people every single day. In order to remain relevant. But sometimes, it gets out of hand,” Churchill admitted.

However, the Churchill Show founder, believes he gave the deceased a golden platform to grow his brand which he at times took with a lot of seriousness.

It is sad that majority of people who shared this journey of life with the late comedian, admitted he was very stubborn. One with bad drinking habits that might have cost him his life.

This comes just a few days after the singer ‘exposed’ Shakilla for allegedly breaking into his house in Syokimau. According to Pozee the young socialite has been obsessed with him for a while now; but after her interview with Xtian Dela – seems like she crossed the boundary.
