10 Things You Didn’t Know About Mother-In-Law’s ‘Charlie Mwamba’

Charlie Mwamba is one of the main characters on TV hit show ‘Mother-In-Law’ and he is always piss drunk unless he has sobered up now, it’s been a minute since I watched the show.

He is married to Selina Mitego who is played by Catherine Kamau and has one daughter named Olive (Played by Ida Wanyoike). His brothers are Jack who is alienated from his children and Robert Mwaba a doctor with a distinct American accent.
Here are somethings that you should know about the man that plays Charlie in the show

1.    His official names are Patrick Oketch
2.    He once worked for ‘Tahidi High’ but was fired after just three episodes.
3.    He is a trained teacher and was once a P1 teacher at Thogoto and the infamous Soweto slums.
4.    Aside from working as a teacher, he has done odd jobs such as working in a mjengo and as a makanga (tout)
5.    When he is not on set, he is a full-time second-year theatre arts and film student at Kenyatta University

6.    He is also a script writer and writes some of the scenes in Mother-In-Law
7.    He is 34 years old and was born in Mathare
8.    He is from a family of 6; he has 4 brothers and his mum
9.    He is happily married and has a son
10.     His dad passed away when he was only 10, that was in 1991
