‘Nipatieni Miezi Tatu Tu!’-President Ruto Makes New Promises To Kibra Residents (Video)

”Tutawasaidia kiasi kwamba wale wote wamepoteza maisha yao serikali itagharamikia gharama yote inayotakikana” president Ruto.

Those were President Ruto’s first words while addressing residents of Kibra this past weekend where he had visited to console with citizens from the neighborhood following on Saturday’s fire outbreak.

As seen on footage, president Ruto was accompanied by the Nairobi governor among other leaders who availed themselves to console with the fire victims; that have since been left homeless and stranded, while a few victims remain homeless.

Speaking on Sunday, 25th – the president made it known that he had already spoken to Siaya MP, Atandi Samuel to set aside Kshs 500 Million which will be used to rectify and restore proper power supply in the area.

“Tumeweka millioni Sh 500 kuhakikisha kwamba we correct all illegal connections. The ministry is going to work with all stake holders to ensure that we avoid illegal connections that occasionally result in these fires,” the president promised.

According to the president this is but the first step to help improve Kibra which has for years been known as a slum area.

For this reason, the president shared his plans to demolish the slum with a promise to rebuild new modern buildings which will improve the areas image not forgetting – reduction of congestion in the area.

In his speech, the president went on to urge the area residents to cooperate with his government as it intends to improve their lifestyle, just like it did in Mukuru kwa jenga and its surrounding.

“Katiba ya Kenya sehemu ya arobaini na tatu inasema kila mwanainchi anafaa kuishi mahali kuna heshima. Mahali kuna maji, stima na usafi,” the president went on adding;

Na hiyo kazi nitafanya na bidii, wapige kelele wanavyotaka lakini, that we must do.

Fire victims

As for those who lost their lives in the fire, President Ruto promised to have his government pay off all the bills required for funeral plans.

Victims in the hospital were also promised free healthcare while the rest left homeless were promised new temporal homes for the mean time.

President Ruto Nearly Falls After Bodyguard Pushes Woman During Handshake (Video)

President William Ruto’s bodyguards found themselves in an awkward situation on Friday, May 23, almost causing the President to stumble during an inspection of the Kibera Soweto affordable housing program.

The incident occurred as the President walked amidst crowds. A woman reached out to greet him, and as her hand firmly grasped the President’s, one of his bodyguards pushed her back into the crowd. Unaware that their hands were still clasped, the bodyguard’s push caused the woman to drag the Head of State, leading him to lose his balance.

Footage shows President Ruto holding onto Lang’ata Member of Parliament Phelix Odiwuor, also known as Jalang’o, as he struggled to regain his footing and avoid a fall. Once he steadied himself, the President paused, smiled at the woman, and invited her back for a proper second handshake. The bodyguard then promptly guided her back into the crowd once the handshake concluded.

The bodyguards, trained to protect the President and clear his path, were simply executing their duties when this dramatic moment unfolded.

Transforming Kibera with Affordable Housing

During his inspection of the Soweto East Zone B Affordable Housing Project, President Ruto reiterated his pledge to transform what was once known as Africa’s largest slum into the continent’s largest decent estate.

“Kibera used to be famous for being the largest slum in Africa, but with the affordable housing program, we will transform it into the largest decent estate in Africa,” he stated during the visit.

He vowed to ensure transparent allocation of the houses, prioritizing current residents and those who meet the established criteria. “Rest assured that you will be given the first priority to own the houses before considering other Kenyans,” he promised.

The Affordable Housing Programme is a flagship government initiative designed to provide decent and affordable accommodation to Kenyans. Employed citizens contribute 1.5% of their gross salary, with employers matching the same amount. Several units have been completed across the country, and eligible Kenyans can apply for allocation.

Handover of Mukuru Housing Units

Just days prior, on Monday, May 20, 2025, President Ruto officially handed over 1,080 completed housing units at the Mukuru Meteorological Site in Nairobi. These units are part of the larger New Mukuru Housing Project, which is expected to deliver 13,248 homes upon completion.

“Today, New Mukuru, like many projects across the country, is living proof that investing in housing stimulates local economies. Money is spent where homes are built, jobs are created, and lives are changed. The Mama Mboga feeding fundis at lunchtime and the Jua Kali artisans crafting doors and windows are all part of this vibrant ecosystem,” President Ruto remarked.

All the new homes are designed with essential infrastructure and amenities, ensuring that new homeowners can live with dignity.

Kindiki Fires Back At Gachagua, Vows To Host 500 Musicians After Boycott Call From Gachagua

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has issued a fiery rebuke to former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, dismissing Gachagua’s call for Kenyans to boycott musicians who visited Kindiki in Karen. Kindiki defiantly stated he would instead invite “five hundred more” artists to challenge the move.

Speaking with clear indignation during an economic empowerment program for small-scale traders and SACCOs in Kabete Constituency, Kiambu County, on Sunday, May 25, 2025, Kindiki warned Gachagua against reckless and provocative remarks.

“He speaks with contempt and menaces people. If you look at me now, I truly am not easily intimidated. Let us show mutual respect. Those musicians came fifty; now I intend to invite five hundred more to assemble in Karen and see what you will do,” Kindiki asserted.

Kindiki told Gachagua that his call to boycott singers who visited his home was a misstep, suggesting that Gachagua, whom he once considered humble and courteous, might be revealing a different side. According to Kindiki, Gachagua’s statement was a direct insult and disrespect, and he should not be surprised by retaliation, as he initiated the controversy.

“Let us respect each other, my friend. I am a man of honour, but if you come within shooting range, we will deal with you. And if you see us slow and composed, we are not pushovers. Do not lecture us; we are not your children. Take your lectures elsewhere,” he added.

Kindiki then questioned the authority by which Gachagua was commanding Kenyans to boycott singers, stating that Gachagua lacks the capacity to issue such orders. He expressed disbelief that Gachagua would focus on “trivial matters,” emphasizing that he, unlike Gachagua, is preoccupied with critical issues affecting Mt Kenya, such as coffee reforms, boda boda funds, and women’s empowerment.

“The time for praise or idle talk is over. I do not know whom you are praising or where you are heading next. Stop. At this moment, we are defending coffee, milk, and boda boda riders. We are championing empowerment. If that is the case, why do we not defend musicians?” Kindiki stated.

Furthermore, Kindiki cautioned Gachagua about constantly mentioning him, asserting that he and others are not Gachagua’s “children” to be freely insulted.

Gachagua Demands Apology from Musicians

Earlier, while attending a church service at AIPCA Kihoya in Kangema Constituency, Murang’a County, Gachagua had called on all singers from the Mt Kenya region who had visited Kindiki in Karen to issue a “genuine apology.” He warned that failure to do so would lead to “harsher repercussions.”

Gachagua directly urged Kenyans to unfollow and cease inviting these musicians to clubs if they refused to apologize.

“We are very sad that some of our artistes have become traitors for the community. They were invited at Karen by Mr Moneybags and told to come and lie to you that SHA (Social Health Authority) is working. They were told to tell us that roads are being built and education is running smoothly… And they accepted. I sat down with elders, and they told me to announce that the artistes should apologise,” Gachagua stated.

Boniface Mwangi Recounts Horrific Detention & Torture In Tanzania

Kenyan activist Boniface Mwangi has shared alarming details of his four-day detention and alleged torture in Tanzania, following his release on Thursday, May 22. His disappearance had sparked widespread concern across the East African region.

Mwangi traveled to Dar es Salaam on Monday, May 19, to observe the treason trial of Tanzanian opposition leader Tundu Lissu. However, he was apprehended by suspected military officers and went missing until his release. He was detained alongside Ugandan activist Agather Atuhaire, whose current whereabouts remain unknown.

A Harrowing Ordeal

Upon his release, Mwangi took to social media to describe the brutal experience he and Atuhaire endured. “Agather is still missing in Tanzania,” he stated, recounting that the last time he heard her voice was on Tuesday morning during a severe torture session.

“We had been tortured, and we were told to strip naked and go bathe,” he wrote. “We couldn’t walk and were told to crawl and go wash off the blood. We were handcuffed and blindfolded, so I didn’t even see her, but I heard her groaning in pain as they barked orders at us.”

According to Mwangi, they were held incommunicado in an undisclosed location, subjected to torture, and denied legal access. He claimed the torture was overseen by a man identified as a state security agent with direct ties to the presidency.

“One of the lawyers said he is state security and reports directly to President Suluhu,” Mwangi revealed. He described the man as overweight, with a potbelly, short wavy hair, and light brown skin, who had allegedly confronted Mwangi and his legal team at the Central Police Station before ordering the activists moved to a secret location for what he termed “Tanzanian treatment.”

Accusations Against Tanzanian Authorities and President Suluhu

Mwangi’s detailed account follows his earlier promise to speak out about his detention. In a strongly worded statement, he accused Tanzanian authorities of attempting to intimidate him and silence dissent through fear.

The activist directly implicated Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu in the ordeal, asserting that all actions taken against him and Atuhaire were carried out in her name.

“We went through the worst form of torture and were threatened with public humiliation if we revealed what they did to us. You cannot torture us, however, and then dictate how we should react,” he stated. “Everything that happened to us in Tanzania was done in Samia Suluhu’s name, and we will ensure the world gets to know. We shall speak for the Tanzanian victims who are too afraid to speak. What Suluhu did to us will be revealed to the world.”

Mwangi declared, “We will not be silenced.” His whereabouts remained unknown until Thursday when he was deported from Tanzania by road and abandoned near Ukunda in Kwale County, Kenya.

Akothee Pens Emotional Open Letter To Sister Cebbie Koks, Seeking Family Peace

Celebrated Kenyan singer and businesswoman Akothee has publicly reached out to her sister, Elseba Awuor Kokeyo, also known as Cebbie Koks, through a deeply personal open letter shared on social media. The letter aims to mend their strained relationship and restore family harmony.

In her candid message, Akothee revealed years of hidden pain and her journey towards forgiveness. Despite presenting a strong and joyful front, she admitted to silently carrying emotional wounds inflicted by someone very close to her – her own sister.

“There are wounds I’ve nursed for years, quietly. Wounds I covered with smiles, laughter, and silence all in the name of love, family, and peace,” she wrote.

Akothee explained that instead of confronting Cebbie directly when the alleged betrayal occurred, she chose to welcome her back without demanding accountability or an apology. This silence, however, took a toll on her mental well-being. She painfully reflected;

“I stood alone, battling narratives I never wrote, while you, my own blood, watched, spoke, and walked away,” referencing public disputes and negative sentiments reportedly spread by Cebbie.

Fame’s Impact on Sisterhood

The mother of five also pondered how their relationship shifted after she introduced Cebbie to the public eye. She believes the world of fame negatively impacted their bond. “I introduced you to a world of fame you were never prepared for, and sadly, you let that world shape how you saw me, your sister,” Akothee lamented. She added that while many criticized her, the most hurtful words came from her sister, whom she considered both a sibling and a friend.

Despite the difficulties, Akothee emphasized her unwavering love for her sister, describing Cebbie as a “rebellious child who had lost her way in the noise of applause.”

Choosing Forgiveness for Personal Peace

Akothee made it clear that her decision to forgive her sister was not prompted by an apology or remorse from Cebbie, but rather by her own need for healing. “It’s taken me years of silence, of deep self-work, and painful maturity to understand what forgiveness truly means. It is not weakness, it is power,” she asserted.

She concluded her powerful letter by stating;

“Yes, I have forgiven you, Elseba. Not because you asked. Not because you publicly corrected the damage. But because I deserve peace.”

Boniface Mwangi Detained In Tanzania Amidst Treason Trial Of Opposition Leader

Dar es Salaam, Tanzania – Kenyan human rights activist Boniface Mwangi remains in detention in Tanzania following his arrest on May 19, 2025. Mwangi had traveled to Dar es Salaam to attend the high-profile treason trial of Tanzanian opposition leader Tundu Lissu, a case that has drawn significant international attention. His detention has sparked widespread concern in Kenya, with his wife making an emotional appeal for his release.

Mwangi, a renowned photojournalist and activist known for his outspoken stance against injustice, arrived in Tanzania alongside Ugandan journalist Agather Atuhaire to observe the court proceedings. Lissu’s trial is under international scrutiny due to allegations of political repression in the lead-up to Tanzania’s general elections scheduled for October.

Reports indicate that armed men, identifying themselves as police officers but refusing to show proper identification, took Mwangi from his hotel room. He was initially held at the Central Police Station in Dar es Salaam before being transferred to the Immigration Department. Conflicting reports regarding his deportation circulated, but as of May 21, 2025, Mwangi is confirmed to still be in Tanzanian custody.

The detention of Mwangi has ignited outrage among human rights defenders and civil society organizations across the East African region. Many view his arrest as part of a broader crackdown on dissent and political opposition within Tanzania. Mwangi’s wife, Njeri Mwangi, tearfully appealed for her husband’s release, highlighting his unwavering dedication to advocating for the rights of others. Mwangi is widely regarded as a fearless voice in the region, known for exposing human rights abuses and speaking out against corruption and oppression.

Human rights groups have condemned the detention, urging Tanzanian authorities to uphold Mwangi’s rights and adhere to international human rights standards. They warn that suppressing activists undermines democratic processes and freedom of expression. The Kenyan embassy in Tanzania is reportedly actively engaging with Tanzanian officials to clarify the reasons for Mwangi’s detention and ensure his well-being.

Other Activists Denied Entry and Deported

Mwangi’s situation is not an isolated incident. Other prominent figures attempting to enter Tanzania to observe Lissu’s trial have also faced immediate deportation. Former Kenyan Justice Minister Martha Karua was detained upon arrival at Julius Nyerere International Airport and, after several hours of questioning, was deported back to Kenya. Alongside Karua, former Chief Justice Willy Mutunga and human rights activists Hanifa Adan and Hussein Khalid, as well as lawyer Gloria Kimani and campaigner Lynn Ngugi, also faced similar treatment, being detained and sent back.

Mungai Eve Addresses Pregnancy Rumours Amid Social Media Absence

Content creator and influencer Mungai Eve has firmly denied ongoing rumors of her pregnancy. Speculation arose after she took a break from social media, which coincided with public drama involving her ex-boyfriend, fellow content creator Victor Lameck, also known as Shifuwayy.

During a recent Instagram Q&A session, Eve reconnected with her followers and directly addressed the pervasive pregnancy questions. When asked if she was pregnant, Eve responded, “No, I am not. Where is this pregnancy question coming from? I’ve been getting it a lot. When I start this childbirth thing, it’s going to be a marathon—like Rihanna. Back-to-back.” She indicated that when she does decide to have children, she plans to have them close in age, similar to Rihanna’s approach to motherhood.

Addressing Past Relationships and Future Family Plans

A fan also inquired about her current relationship status and the past claims made by Shifuwayy. Eve’s response was succinct: “Never heard of such a name before.” This dismissive reply indicates a clear separation from her past relationship.

In a YouTube interview in November 2024, Eve had previously shared her aspirations for starting a family. She expressed a desire for twins, noting that her father is a twin, which she believes might increase her chances. “I’d love to have two kids, and if God blesses me, I hope they’ll be twins. I love twins. My dad is a twin, so that gives me hope.”

Thoughts on Responsible Parenting

Eve also articulated strong views on responsible parenting, criticizing those who have children without adequate preparation. “

You’ll find someone living in a small house with 10 kids—and they’re still getting pregnant. Personally, I don’t like that. I think it’s selfish to bring a child into this world without knowing how you’ll provide for them.”

Despite being financially stable at 24, Eve emphasized that she doesn’t feel emotionally or mentally ready for motherhood. She underscored the importance of selecting the right partner and ensuring overall readiness before embarking on such a significant life change.

“People often ask me, ‘If you’re financially stable, shouldn’t you have a child?’ I don’t argue online, but for me, money isn’t everything. I want to give my child a specific lifestyle—and that starts with choosing the right dad. That’s why, maybe in the next five years or so, I’ll feel ready. Until then, I believe bringing a child into this world should be a well-thought-out decision.”

Mukuru Residents Protest Eviction Fears Amidst Affordable Housing Rollout

Mukuru Kwa Reuben residents are protesting alleged eviction plans to make way for additional government-built units under the Affordable Housing Programme. On Wednesday, May 21, a section of the community occupied a local police station, seeking to prevent their displacement.

This action follows President William Ruto’s official handover of 1,080 housing units to beneficiaries at the Mukuru housing project in Embakasi South on Tuesday, May 20. The broader project spans 56 acres and is slated to include a total of 13,248 housing units, comprising bedsitters, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments.

However, concerns have emerged that the government intends to evict residents from another part of the slum to construct more houses. On May 21, the Mukuru Community Justice Centre (MCJC) led residents in occupying the Villa Police Station. They claim there are plans for evictions without any provision for resettlement.

The MCJC has refuted claims that slum dwellers have benefited from the newly constructed houses, labeling such reports as misleading and a diversionary tactic. The organization condemned the proposed evictions, describing the affordable housing initiative as a means to displace community members for “selfish ends.”

“Reports that Mukuru kwa Njenga residents benefited from the affordable housing project are misleading,” the MCJC stated. “This is a tactic to evict Mukuru Kwa Njenga community members. We resist any planned forced evictions by the state.”

Meanwhile, President Ruto, on May 20, defended the government’s Affordable Housing program against criticism that the new high-rise units are merely “vertical slums.” He dismissed the notion that his housing projects would not benefit economically struggling Kenyans.

“Ladies and gentlemen, this is not a vertical slum. There’s a misguided tendency to equate density with deprivation. A slum is not defined by population size, but by the absence of services, safety, and dignity,” the President asserted. He also assured Mukuru residents that the homes would be accompanied by essential infrastructure to ensure a decent standard of living for low-income Kenyans, including modern markets to support local businesses.

Maureen Waititu Shares Tremendous Weight Loss After Undergoing Gastric Balloon Procedure

Content creator Maureen Waititu recently unveiled her significant weight loss transformation, a journey she embarked on after undergoing a gastric balloon procedure.

Waititu shared with her followers that she had been battling an eating disorder and depression since the COVID-19 lockdown, factors that contributed to her weight struggles.

Her candidness and impressive transformation have garnered widespread commendation from both celebrities and social media users.

Waititu, a mother of two, showcased her progress by sharing two videos, one taken a year ago and the other displaying her current physique. In a vibrant, sleeveless orange dress, she exuded confidence as she detailed her experience.

“It has taken me tremendous courage to put this here,” Waititu stated, reflecting on her journey. “These videos are exactly 355 days apart, and I’m so overwhelmed with emotions. It’s no secret that I have been struggling with my weight since the COVID lockdown due to many factors, including depression medication and an eating disorder I developed. This time around, I was not only determined to drop all the extra weight but I also wanted to keep it off for the rest of my life.”

The mother of two, who doubles up as Frankie Just Gym It’s baby mama, has been an exception when it comes to baby mama drama. The two seem to be co-parenting quite well as there hasn’t been much between them, including Corazon Kwamboka.

Jovial Reveals The Odd Jobs She Used To Venture Into To Survive

Kenyans know Jovial as the “Queen of Vocals” from the Coast, but she recently shared a deeply personal story about her past struggles. The singer revealed on Instagram how she once worked as a receptionist in a Mombasa guesthouse, a job she took to support her infant daughter.

A Mother’s Ingenuity

Jovial recounted how memories flooded back to her after a recent performance. She explained that life’s hardships forced her into the receptionist role when her daughter was just four months old. To make ends meet on a meager salary, she and a coworker devised a plan to earn extra income.

The guesthouse, not a typical hotel, often had rooms that were rented during the day but vacated by nightfall. Jovial saw an opportunity in this. “During the day, there was work while others were breaking for lunch, others could break and come for their private time, and so most of them never spent the night there,” she explained.

Reselling Rooms for Survival

After guests checked out, Jovial and the housekeeper would quickly clean the rooms, change the linens, and then re-rent them without the management’s knowledge. They would then split the earnings. “After they leave, I could wash the room together with the housekeeper, we change the bedsheets and towels, we resell them again, and we share the revenue,” she admitted.

Anticipating judgment, Jovial urged her fans to understand her desperate situation. She highlighted her low salary and the urgent need to provide for her baby. “Don’t judge me, the salary was low, and a mother and daughter needed to survive,” she pleaded, adding, “Someone might wonder whether there were no CCTV cameras, but at the time, God couldn’t allow it to be there because there was nowhere I could get milk for my baby.”

Forging Resilience

Jovial believes these challenging experiences shaped her into the resilient person she is today. She reflected on how her past hardships made her “tough-headed,” a quality that has been crucial in rebuilding her life and her daughter’s.

“Life was hard back then, now I look at my baby and I smile, she is a survivor, tough like me. I’m glad I’m rewriting my story,” Jovial shared emotionally. “Sometimes I look back at these memories, I break down, but then I remember where it was not for such moments, I couldn’t be tough-headed like I am today.”

Jovial’s story is a reflection of moving from grass to grace!

Stevo Simple Boy Admits Chasing Clout To Remain Relevant (Video)

Kenyan rapper Stivo Simple Boy has pulled back the curtain on some of his past publicity stunts, admitting to engaging in “clout-chasing” tactics during his tenure with his now-former manager. This admission comes shortly after the manager publicly confirmed their professional separation.

Unpacking the Staged Stunts

In a recent interview with Oga Obinna, Stivo confessed that certain widely reported events, such as the supposed gifting of a Mazda Demio, were entirely fabricated for media attention.

“Hio gari nilisema nimepewa na kampuni ilikuwa ni kipindi tu,” he revealed, translating to: “The car I said I had been gifted by a company was just clout-chasing.”

The Marital Strain and Managerial Fallout

The split between the artist and his former manager appears to stem from growing tensions involving Stivo’s wife. Last week, the ex-manager claimed he stepped back because Stivo’s wife allegedly began to interfere significantly with his music career.

“I’ve helped him get brand ambassadorial gigs here and there, and everything was going smoothly until his wife got involved,” the former manager explained. “She now wants to manage all of his music affairs—deciding what he should or shouldn’t do, what time he leaves the house, and when he returns. It’s made it difficult to even film basic company adverts.”

Stivo’s Counter-Narrative and Call for Account Return

However, Stivo Simple Boy has vehemently denied his ex-manager’s account, asserting that he received minimal support throughout their year-long collaboration. He instead credits politician Peter Salasya for providing tangible assistance.

“I saw you saying that you helped me for a year. Look at my house—nothing has changed. These are the same chairs I came with from Kibera. The TV was bought by MP Salasya, the woofer is mine from Kibera,” Stivo argued, adding, “Even the bed was bought by Salasya. So what progress have you made for your artist? Online, you claim you’re my artist when you were my manager—that’s embarrassing. And now you’ve seized my social media account. Please, I ask you kindly to return my account. I’m just requesting.”

This public fallout marks the end of a one-year working relationship, shining a light on the often complex and challenging dynamics artists navigate behind the scenes in the entertainment industry.

Pastor Ng’ang’a In Hot Soup Over Ksh 10 Million Government ‘Debt’

A tense confrontation unfolded at Neno Evangelism Centre when Geoffrey Mosiria, Nairobi County Chief Officer for Environment, paid an unannounced visit to the church. The visit was prompted by remarks from the church’s founder, Pastor James Ng’ang’a, who had allegedly dismissed a KSh 10 million land rate debt owed to the Nairobi County Government as “rubbish.”

County Official Confronts Pastor Ng’ang’a

Mosiria arrived at the church premises, directly addressing the pastor’s defiant stance.

“Today, we have visited Pastor Ng’ang’a’s church; we have come to collect KSh 10 million, he said that it was rubbish money,” Mosiria stated. “The money they owe the county government as land rate is KSh 10 million and they are supposed to pay so we will come here as per usual because I saw him labelling it as rubbish and I am the one in charge of waste so I have decided to come for it so that we can be able to collect it.”

A Diplomatic Yet Firm Approach

Despite the direct confrontation, Mosiria emphasized that the county’s aim was not to disrupt the church’s operations. “Our aim is not to block the church. The pastor is our friend, and we can be in peace and can keep living in peace,” he clarified. He then extended an invitation, with a clear expectation:

“We will come drink tea with him on Wednesday, and he can pay us the KSh 10 million waste he mentioned.”

Pastor Ng’ang’a on the other hand, has called out the move by government officials; saying that they have been after his church for a while. He claims he is ready to fight for his church.

He commended the Deputy President for his candor and praised the intimate setting, which he felt contributed to an engaging conversation.

Tanzania’s President Suluhu Defends Her Decision Of Deporting Kenyans

Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan has publicly addressed the recent detention and subsequent deportation of several high-profile Kenyan citizens from Tanzania, including Martha Karua, which occurred on Sunday and Monday, May 18 and 19, 2025. Her remarks came amidst a diplomatic stir and heightened tensions between the East African neighbors.

Speaking at a public forum on Monday, May 19, a resolute President Suluhu criticized Kenyan activists, accusing them of attempting to destabilize the peace and internal affairs of Tanzania. She took a pointed swipe at Kenya’s political landscape, suggesting that some activists who have been unable to effect change in their own country are now seeking to interfere in Tanzania’s sovereign matters.

“We’ve started seeing a trend where some activists from our neighboring countries are trying to meddle in our business,” Suluhu asserted. “If they have been contained in their own country, let them not try to come to ruin our peace.”

President Suluhu, who made history as Tanzania’s first female president after being sworn in on March 19, 2021, emphasized Tanzania’s strong political stability, claiming it to be one of the few countries in the East African region enjoying such a high degree of peace. She issued a stern warning that any attempts to disrupt this peace, whether by locals or foreigners, would not be tolerated.

Her strong statements coincided with the detention and deportation of another group of Kenyans, including former Chief Justice Willy Mutunga, activist journalist Hanifa Adan, and VOCAL Africa CEO Hussein Khalid. These individuals were reportedly detained on Monday morning as they attempted to enter Tanzania to express solidarity with the detained opposition leader, Tundu Lissu. Like Martha Karua and other activists on Sunday, they were deported back to Kenya hours after their passports were confiscated at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam.

Tundu Lissu, a prominent politician, anti-graft activist, and former Member of Parliament for the Singida East constituency, has recently garnered significant attention, particularly from Kenya. His ongoing court appearance on treason charges, for which he is expected to remain in custody until June 2025, has drawn concern from various quarters. As the current chairman of CHADEMA, Tanzania’s leading opposition political party, Lissu has garnered sympathy from some Kenyan leaders and activists, many of whom are vocal critics of the Kenya Kwanza government, including People’s Liberation Party leader Martha Karua.

Lissu’s detention has fueled criticism against President Suluhu, with activists from both Tanzania and Kenya accusing her administration of suppressing dissent and narrowing the civic and democratic space. However, in her rejoinder, Suluhu maintained that her actions were solely aimed at maintaining order and peace within Tanzania’s borders.

“I’ve seen some clips of people saying I am biased. All I am doing is protecting my country, as that is my mandate as president. That said, we will not allow anyone to come and disrupt the peace, whether a local or a foreigner,” she reiterated.

Among the prominent figures who have publicly criticized the Tanzanian president’s stance is former Chief Justice David Maraga of Kenya, who described the unfolding situation as a concerning shrinking of “civic and democratic space in East Africa.”

Size 8 Opens Up On Break-Up With DJ Mo, Admits Contributing In The Separation

Popular gospel singer and preacher Linet Masiro Munyali, widely known as Size 8, has recently shared intricate details about her painful decision to end her marriage with DJ Mo, whose real name is Samuel Muraya, prior to their eventual reconciliation.

The Public Split and Underlying Reasons

The couple’s marital troubles first became public in August 2024 when Size 8 announced their separation on social media. At the time, she offered minimal specifics, merely hinting that sometimes marriages simply don’t work out.

However, in a revealing recent interview with TV47, the “Mateke” hitmaker finally elaborated on the deep-seated reasons that compelled her to walk away from her union with Mo. Size 8 disclosed that she had reached a point of absolute despair regarding their relationship.

“I thought at that time that I had reached my end and I was like, you know what, I am done. Sometimes hope is very important. I think at that time I had lost all manner of hope of us ever becoming something,” she confessed.

Acknowledging Personal Blame

Size 8 candidly admitted that she had become completely blind to her husband’s positive attributes, choosing instead to focus solely on his imperfections.

“Nilikuwa nimefunga macho kuona the good in him. My mistake at that time is that I looked at his mistakes with a magnifying glass and completely refused to look at his positives. I did not choose to see good,” she explained, highlighting her own role in the marital breakdown.

She further acknowledged her part in the challenges that led to their separation, revealing that the seven-month period they spent apart was a crucial time of introspection and self-reflection for her. This period away from each other seemingly allowed her to gain a new perspective on their relationship and her own contributions to its difficulties.

Alma Mutheu Admits She Regrets Humiliating Ex-Boyfriend On Live TV (Video)

Popular Youtuber Alma Mutheu has publicly apologized, five months after criticizing her then-boyfriend, Gift, for what she described as a lack of financial contribution.

In December 2024, during an appearance on Obinna TV, Alma surprised her followers by alleging that Gift was not financially supporting their household despite living in her home. She stated at the time that she had been solely responsible for all expenses and had reached her limit.

Her remarks ignited considerable online discussion, with many viewers feeling that Gift had been unfairly humiliated publicly. Alma also indicated her desire to end the relationship at that point, urging him to seek employment. Gift, however, denied moving into her residence and claimed he had dyed his hair pink in an attempt to deepen her affection for him.

Alma Remains Apologetic

In a recent interview with Morin Actress, Alma addressed her reasons for her previous actions and offered a sincere apology. She explained that she typically internalizes her emotions and rarely shares her difficulties, often leading to emotional overload.

“I am that kind of person who doesn’t tell their problems. I don’t have that third person to talk to when dating. I don’t tell people how I am feeling so they can advise me. I just take it in, telling myself I’ll be fine, then it becomes too much,” she confessed.

She admitted that her outburst stemmed from exhaustion and emotional distress, not ill will.

“I would like to apologise because of the disrespect, because it came out like, ‘Why would you do that, Alma?’ I didn’t really want it to come out like that. I was just so tired,” she said.

It remains uncertain whether Alma and Gift remained in a relationship following the public controversy. A review of their social media profiles showed that they have removed photos of each other.

‘President Ruto Bought A Bank, He Has Made Over Ksh 3 Trillion In Two Years’- Former DP Gachagua

The colloquy between president William Ruto and former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua has roped in numerous reactions from netizens even in the diaspora.

Gachagua has been all over the media spewing what seems to be surreptitious details that were kept out of netizens’ reach.

Recently, his interview with Oga Obinna made several rounds on social media following his utterances that left Kenyan citizens in dismay.

‘Ruto has made 3 to 4 trillion in the last two years,” Gachagua started off

He further explained that Ruto has bought a popular bank where he keeps his trillions, leading to other banks running out of business.

”He bought a bank. That’s where his money goes. I don’t want to say the name of the bank. Do your research. That’s where all the money goes. It’s actually taking business from other banks. All the money from government, parastatals are being kept in the bank that the president bought.”

Gachagua has been a strong opposition leader after his impeachment. He vowed to make sure Ruto is a one term president come 2027. He has teamed up with renowned leaders with an aim of bundling out president Ruto.

On the other hand, president Ruto remains unmoved with Gachagua’s moves.

How Ruto Lured Me Into Becoming His Ally- Gachagua

In addition to the latter, Gachagua narrated how Ruto convinced him to ditch former president Uhuru Kenyatta and side with him in 2022.

He claims that Ruto was in tears while they were having the latter conversation.

The guy would come here and cry, tears, Machozi. When you see a grown-up man crying, you feel for him. I was a great friend of Uhuru Kenyatta, I was his PA and at one point he felt that I am under so much pressure from my family and other people to go back to Uhuru Kenyatta and he knew that if I left him he is done.”

The former friends, now foes, have shown resilience from both ends. Kenyans continue to share their opinions & views in the political space.

‘There Is No Baby Coming’- Kamene Goro Refuses To Bow Down To Online Pressure Of Getting Pregnant

radio personality Kamene Goro has definitively stated that motherhood is not part of her future. During an Instagram Q&A session with her followers on Saturday, May 17, 2025, Kamene addressed direct inquiries about her plans for children.

When one follower asked;

“When are we getting a baby from you?”, Kamene responded unequivocally, “Let’s just get this clear, no baby is coming.”

In response to another question about her fondness for children and potential future family plans, Kamene affirmed her love for babies but clarified that she does not intend to have any of her own.

Kamene Under Pressure To Deliver

This isn’t the first instance of Kamene addressing this topic. Back in March 2024, shortly after her marriage, she refuted rumors of an impending pregnancy.

Through a series of Instagram stories, she addressed persistent speculation regarding her physical appearance following her birthday celebrations. Kamene expressed her disappointment with the unfounded assumptions, particularly those concerning her gait during her birthday, which some mistakenly attributed to pregnancy.

“Over the past week, I’ve seen a lot of comments and speculation about how I was walking on my birthday, and it always goes back to the same outdated, pretty insensitive conclusion that I’m pregnant. Like, come on, guys. I said I would never respond, but I feel I should because those sentiments are so unfounded and ignorant,” Kamene stated.

She clarified that her altered posture was a result of a knee surgery she underwent earlier in the year, not pregnancy, and shared details about her challenging recovery.

“Remember, in January, I had surgery on my knee that had me in the hospital for 5 days. I haven’t walked in a long time, it’s actually in the run-up to my birthday that I started to try walking without my crutches. It’s a difficult process to try to restore activity and muscle strength to the knee, that is why I’m walking or waddling funny. It’s been such a difficult recovery, honestly,” Kamene explained.

Kamene Goro has been among Kenya’s renowned socialites who have been put under heavy scrutiny for their decision of not having kids. Others include Bien & Chiki, Huddah Monroe, Mungai Eve, etc

Director Trevor Confirms He Is Married To Current Lover Kiki After A Year Into The Relationship

Celebrated content creator Director Trevor has officially tied the knot with his girlfriend of one year, Yvonne Kiki. The couple’s union follows a year of publicly documented romance, which began with Trevor’s introduction of Yvonne to his followers in August 2024 during the celebration of International Girlfriend’s Day.

Throughout their relationship, Trevor and Yvonne navigated their journey while occasionally facing public commentary from Trevor’s former partner, who would sometimes share details about their past. Despite this external noise, the couple steadily nurtured their bond, culminating in their recent marriage.

Social media expert and influencer Director Trevor marked one year of love with his partner, Kiki Yvonne, in a heartfelt post on social media. Photos: Director Trevor (Instagram)

Confirming their union, Director Trevor shared details about their special day.

“It is true we got married. We wanted it to be private from the beginning, we also did not want the kind of weddings that are so hyped. Because at the end of the day, whether you do a small or big wedding, it is still a marriage. We are happy that we are officially married,” he stated, emphasizing their desire for an intimate and personal celebration over a large, publicized affair.

Trevor and Yvonne opted for a civil wedding ceremony, choosing to formalize their commitment legally before later sharing glimpses of their special day with the public. Yvonne Kiki also hinted at the private nature of their wedding on her Instagram story, sharing a message that read;

“Life is so private no one knows I am getting married today.”

The couple’s decision to celebrate their love in a private setting reflects their preference for a more personal and less sensationalized beginning to their married life.

‘I’m Not Giving Up On Man UTD’- Amorim

They go into the penultimate round of fixtures in 16th place and are heading for their worst finish since the 1973-74 relegation campaign.

Man United have won four league games in 2025, three of which were against the teams who got relegated. Their only league victories since winning at Fulham on 26 January were against Ipswich and Leicester.

It could be argued a failure to beat Tottenham would at least provide more clear midweeks for Amorim to work with his squad next season.

The coach does not view it that way at all.

“I am not going to use that as an excuse,” he said. “That would be really bad.

“If we don’t win it is going to be really tough, and the patience of the fans and you guys [the media] next year is going to be on the limit.

“We would have to be perfect to continue with everything – I know that. So it’s not going to be better in that way.”

Losing final would be ‘a waste of time’

The aftermath of the West Ham defeat has been filled with stories about the plans United’s hierarchy have put in place around the final.

Limits have been placed on the number of tickets players are allowed – and what staff are entitled to.

There will be no parade in the event of a win against Tottenham. Instead celebrations will be restricted to a low-key barbeque at the club’s Carrington training ground when Amorim’s squad return on Thursday.

Evidently, Amorim and his players have the financial muscle to pay for their friends and family to get to Bilbao if needed

However, others who work closely with the first team are not in the same fortunate financial position.

Ruben Amorim: I’m far from quitting as Man Utd coach

So, at a time when a second round of up to 200 redundancies are planned following the 250 jobs that were axed last year, Amorim and his players have decided to help out by paying for some tickets for the backroom team’s families.

“The situation is simple,” he said. “We have a lot of things, with people leaving and a lot of changes in the staff, so at this moment in our club sometimes it is hard to know when to give and when to take.

“We have to respect the people whose jobs are being taken to survive and rebuild.

“It is complicated for the club to start giving to other members of staff, which makes it a really hard position.

‘Nimechoka kujificha’-Bahati Admits He Has Not Shaved His Hair

Musician Bahati has finally confessed to misleading his fans about shaving his hair, a promise he made based on the outcome of an Arsenal football match. The singer had publicly vowed to go bald if his favorite team, Arsenal, lost their game against Paris Saint-Germain. Adding a personal stake to the bet, Bahati mentioned that he had made the same wager with his wife, Diana Marua.

When Arsenal indeed suffered a defeat, Diana Marua playfully armed herself with garden shears, ready to make good on the bet and remove Bahati’s signature tiny dreadlocks. However, Bahati was clearly not keen on a DIY haircut. Instead of facing his wife’s impromptu barber skills, he reportedly called a professional barber to their home the following day, implying that he would be fulfilling his promise then.

Just hours later, Bahati posted a seemingly convincing photograph on his social media accounts. The image portrayed him with a completely shaved head, sporting a clean-cut look. While the photo initially led some fans to believe he had followed through with his bet, many others remained skeptical. These unconvinced followers quickly demanded video evidence to substantiate the photographic claim.

Despite the calls for a video, Bahati continued to share more photos of himself with the clean-shaven look. However, as more images surfaced, it became increasingly apparent to many eagle-eyed fans that the singer had not actually shaved his hair. The inconsistencies and tell-tale signs in the photos suggested digital manipulation, leading to widespread accusations of Bahati having photoshopped his appearance to create the illusion of a shaved head. Numerous fans called him out for what they perceived as an obvious deception.

Now, over a week after the match and the initial photos, Bahati has finally come clean and admitted to his playful ruse. He shared a recent photograph of himself on social media, clearly showing that his dreadlocks are still intact. In his accompanying caption, Bahati humorously confessed that he was tired of maintaining the charade. He even joked that his photo editor was equally exhausted from the task of altering his images to make it appear as though he had shaved his head.

Nimechoka kujificha pia editor anasema amechokaaaa kunibadilisha vichwa,” Bahati wrote, which translates from Swahili to English as, “I’m tired of hiding, even the editor says they are tired of changing my head.”

This admission brings an end to the lighthearted saga that unfolded after Arsenal’s loss, revealing Bahati’s attempt to playfully dupe his fanbase before ultimately confessing to his little white lie.

Ringtone Charged In Court Of Law Over Ksh 50 Million Fraud

Popular Kenyan gospel artist Alex Nyanchonga Apoko, widely known as Ringtone, has been placed in custody at the Industrial Area Prison after a Milimani Law Courts ruling denied him bail in connection with a significant Sh50 million land fraud case.

The controversial singer was brought before Senior Principal Magistrate Dolphina Alego on Thursday, May 15th, to face charges alongside his co-accused, Alfred Juma Ayora, who is implicated in the same alleged scheme.

The prosecution’s case centers on accusations that the two men conspired to unlawfully deprive Nairobi businesswoman Teresia Adhiambo Odhiambo of a prime 0.1908-hectare piece of land situated in the upscale Karen neighborhood.

According to the presented court documents, the alleged conspiracy is said to have taken place on February 28, 2023. On this date, Ringtone and Ayora reportedly collaborated to fraudulently claim ownership of the valuable property through the legal concept of adverse possession. Adverse possession is a legal doctrine that permits an individual to claim ownership of land if they have occupied it openly, continuously, and without the owner’s permission for a specified period, typically many years.

However, the prosecution contends that these claims were entirely fabricated and without merit. Specifically, Alfred Juma Ayora is accused of knowingly swearing a false affidavit, a written statement confirmed by oath, in which he falsely asserted that he had resided on the disputed land for a period exceeding two decades – a claim that investigators insist is demonstrably untrue based on available evidence.

Ringtone’s apprehension was significantly influenced by his repeated failure to appear at scheduled court proceedings. On multiple prior occasions, the gospel artist cited illness as the primary reason for his absence from court. Despite his legal representatives submitting medical documentation purportedly supporting his claims of ill health, Magistrate Alego ultimately dismissed these documents, expressing concerns regarding their authenticity and reliability. This pattern of non-attendance led the court to issue a warrant for Ringtone’s arrest on May 7, 2025, which subsequently resulted in his appearance in court a week later under police custody.

Magistrate Alego delivered a ruling that both Ringtone and his co-accused, Ayora, would be remanded in custody at the Industrial Area Prison until Monday, May 19th. On this date, the court is scheduled to review a pre-bail report, an assessment conducted by probation officers to provide the court with information relevant to the accused’s suitability for bail. Following the review of this report, Magistrate Alego will make a fresh determination regarding their respective bail applications.

This high-profile case emerges against a backdrop of increasing public anxiety and concern over the escalating number of fraudulent real estate transactions plaguing Nairobi and its surrounding areas. Numerous individuals, including both foreign investors seeking opportunities in the Kenyan market and unsuspecting local citizens, have fallen victim to sophisticated land fraud schemes, suffering significant financial losses and legal battles.

Ringtone’s current legal predicament adds another layer of controversy to the already colorful public persona of the outspoken musician, who has frequently captured media attention for reasons extending beyond his gospel music career. His history includes public disagreements with fellow artists, extravagant displays of wealth that have often been showcased on social media, and various other incidents that have elicited a wide range of reactions from his fanbase and the broader public.

Meanwhile, the unfolding legal drama continues to underscore the pressing need for the implementation of more robust and effective mechanisms to safeguard the rights and investments of landowners and prospective buyers within Kenya’s increasingly complex and, at times, volatile real estate sector. The Kenyan government has been facing growing pressure from the public and advocacy groups to intensify its efforts in cracking down on fraudulent schemes, bringing perpetrators to justice, and ensuring adequate protection and recourse for the victims of these illicit activities.

As Ringtone prepares for what could potentially be a protracted and challenging legal battle to clear his name, the case serves as a stark reminder of the inherent risks and potential dangers that lurk within the often-lucrative yet sometimes opaque world of land transactions in Nairobi and the critical importance of due diligence and legal oversight in such dealings.

Drama Unfolds As Goons Attack Gachagua’s Launch Of New Political Party (Video)

A chaotic scene unfolded Ttday morning event hosted by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, as disruptive individuals stormed the venue, located along Musa Gitau Road in the affluent Lavington area.

The disturbance occurred during the unveiling of Gachagua’s Democracy for Citizens party, with the apparent intent of sabotaging the proceedings.

By the time the disruption began, Gachagua had completed his address and announced the party’s interim officials.

Law enforcement officers, who were present and maintaining heightened vigilance, responded swiftly. They reportedly discharged firearms into the air in an effort to disperse the unruly crowd that had congregated to observe Gachagua’s departure.

In the ensuing melee, some of the individuals involved in the disruption were apprehended and subjected to physical assault. Party officials were quickly escorted to safety amidst the escalating chaos.

Gachagua’s political strategy

Gachagua announced the interim leadership of his newly formed political entity, the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP), signifying a strategic move towards the 2027 general elections.

In a move that underscores Gachagua’s focus on building a new foundation, no currently elected officials were included in the interim leadership structure. This decision highlights a clear departure and a strategic positioning for the upcoming electoral cycle.

Further appointments include Mithika Linturi, a former Cabinet Secretary, who will serve as the interim National Organising Secretary. Additionally, former Starehe Member of Parliament, will assume the role of chairing the caucus of eminent persons.

To ensure representation across key demographics, Catherine Waruguru, the former Laikipia Woman Representative, has been designated as the national women leader, while David Mingati from Kajiado will hold the position of national chairperson. These appointments signal Gachagua’s efforts to assemble a diverse and influential team as he sets his sights on the 2027 political landscape.

Carol Sonnie Leaves Fans Speculating About Possible Second Pregnancy

Mulamwah might have just buried the hatchet with content creator Carol Muthoni after the recent turn of events.

Carol Sonnie recently shared a photoshoot session video on her Instagram that has led to speculations about her being pregnant.

The mother of one, who doubles up as comedian Mulamwah’s baby mama, was caught up in a colloquy after sharing the latter on her social media.

This comes just days after Mulamwah shared a cosy photo of Carol holding their first born daughter; accompanied by a caption to celebrate her on mother’s day.

”Happy mothers day mama keilah ❤️,” Mulamwah wrote on his social media.

On the same day, Mulamwah snubbed his second baby mama Ruth K, leading to speculations that he might have re-considered his decision of breaking up with the first baby mama, Carol.

Mulamwah Re-Unites With Baby Mama Ruth K At Her Grandmother’s Burial

However, Mulamwah showed up to show Ruth K support at her grandmother’s burial; which happened recently.

Mulamwah & Carol Sonnie Break-Up

In 2021, Sonie clarified the circumstances surrounding their split, stating that it was Mulamwah who ended the relationship. When questioned about her role in the breakup, Sonie admitted to making mistakes but emphasized the need to move forward.

“Ni yeye (Mulamwah) ndio aliniacha… kukosea nilikosea but we move,” Sonie stated.

Sonie, who gave birth to their daughter just three months prior, revealed that she had sought Mulamwah’s forgiveness. However, according to Sonie, the comedian remained firm in his decision that he could not continue the relationship.

This statement contradicted Sonie’s initial public statement regarding their separation. Two days prior to the interview, the actress had taken to her Instagram account to announce their breakup, suggesting a mutual agreement to part ways after four years of dating. In that post, she wrote;

“This is to make it clear that mulamwah and I are no longer together. We have both agreed and decided to part ways for reasons best known to us. Thank you so much for the love and support you gave us for those 4years, I personally don’t take it for granted.”

She also expressed gratitude towards the comedian and her fans for their support throughout their journey together.

Sonie’s candid interview on Milele FM now provides a different perspective on the breakup, indicating that the decision to end the four-year relationship was primarily Mulamwah’s, despite her attempts at reconciliation.

Brutal End At VVIP Rooftop- Family Seeks Justice Over Teenager’s Death In Nairobi Club

Family of 17-year-old Wilberforce Kisia in Kangemi is enveloped in deep sorrow following his tragic death. The young man, described as a lively individual and a frequent club-goer, met a violent end after allegedly being attacked by security personnel at the VVIP Rooftop Club situated along River Road in Nairobi’s bustling central business district.

Days after he was last seen alive by his family, Kisia’s lifeless body was discovered concealed within the club’s premises, a grim discovery that has left his loved ones reeling in shock and disbelief.

What began as an ordinary Sunday night outing on May 11th took a devastating turn when the teenager reportedly became embroiled in an altercation with the club’s security bouncers.

Wilberforce Kisia was a familiar face on various social media platforms, celebrated for his energetic dance moves and captivating performances. He had left his family’s home in Kangemi with aspirations of honing his artistic talents and pursuing his passion. Tragically, he never made it back.

“The last time I saw him was Sunday. He said, ‘I’ll be back Monday morning.’ But by Tuesday, there was no word… nothing,” his brother, Kennedy Ambani, recounted with palpable grief.

The family’s initial concern escalated into alarm when their attempts to locate Wilberforce proved futile. “They hadn’t posted him on their club social… That’s when I knew something was wrong,” Ambani added, highlighting the club’s usual practice of featuring patrons on their social media.

Driven by growing anxiety over his prolonged silence, the family initiated a desperate search. They reached out to Wilberforce’s friends, meticulously scoured his social media accounts for any clues, and made numerous calls to the VVIP Rooftop Club. Their suspicions intensified when they noticed that Kisia’s recent videos, which had previously been shared on the club’s social media pages, had been quietly removed.

“I called the club cameraman. He just told me, ‘If it’s about Kisia, go ask the management,'” Ambani revealed, his voice laden with frustration and a sense of being stonewalled.

Since the discovery of Wilberforce’s death, eyewitnesses have come forward, providing harrowing accounts that shed light on the tragic sequence of events that unfolded that fateful night.

According to multiple independent testimonies, a disagreement erupted inside the VVIP Rooftop Club, leading to Kisia being confronted by at least two of the club’s bouncers while he was dancing on a stairway within the venue.

“He was dancing on the stairs when one bouncer grabbed him and handed him to another. That one held him by the neck. That’s the last they saw him,” recounted Vincent Mudoga, another of Wilberforce’s brothers, relaying the distressing information gathered from witnesses.

These eyewitnesses allege that Kisia was forcibly subdued, subjected to a brutal beating, and then dragged into a back room or restricted area within the club. It is within these confines that the young man’s life tragically ended, his body later being discovered hidden from public view. The family now seeks justice for Wilberforce, demanding a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death and accountability for those allegedly involved in the brutal assault.

Mulamwah Re-Unites With Baby Mama Ruth K

Comedian David Oyando, popularly known as Mulamwah, has shown a significant gesture of support by attending the funeral of his former partner Ruth K’s grandmother. The recent passing of Ruth’s grandmother prompted Ruth to travel to her hometown of Eldoret last week, accompanied by their son monikered Kalamwah.

The seemingly amicable presence of both parents in the same location, shortly after their publicized breakup, has fueled ongoing skepticism among some fans who suspect their separation might be a publicity stunt.

Intriguingly, around the same time, Mulamwah also shared a photograph of himself in Eldoret on his social media platforms. This coincidental timing ignited speculation among Kenyan fans, many wondering whether the former couple had made the journey to the Western region of Kenya together.

Despite these lingering doubts, Mulamwah’s presence at the funeral in Eldoret was confirmed by photos that have since circulated online. In one poignant image, Mulamwah and Ruth K were seen standing near each other, both dressed in traditional black attire befitting the solemn occasion. Mulamwah also shared personal snapshots from the burial ceremony, including heartfelt pictures of him tenderly holding his son, Kalamwah, as they sat on the grass, observing the proceedings.

Co-parenting At It’s Best

Mulamwah’s decision to be present and offer his support to Ruth K during this difficult time has been widely acknowledged as a commendable act of maturity and compassion. The former couple appears to be navigating the complexities of co-parenting with a notable degree of peace and respect.

The viral spread of these images has elicited various reactions from the online community. Many fans have pointed out that the situation serves as a positive example, demonstrating that the end of a romantic relationship does not necessarily need to be acrimonious or marked by animosity. Numerous netizens have specifically praised Mulamwah for prioritizing the well-being of his child and offering solace and support to the mother of his son during her bereavement, highlighting the importance of extending kindness even after a separation.

‘ I Would Still Get A Divorce At 80 Years’- Huddah Monroe Explains Why Women Should Not Stick In Toxic Relationships

She has kept her love life private over the years, leading to several inquiries on whether she has been dating.

While engaging her fans in a Q&A session, she explained that her marriage ended last year.

‘Glsg I do my sh*t  low key. I was married for 4 years straight. Last year it just has to end coz I realized it wasn’t it. I choose peace over relationship”

Huddah’s secretive nature

Known for her unfiltered and often provocative views, socialite Huddah Monroe frequently sparks discussion with her candid pronouncements. From her definitive list of undesirable male partners to her well-documented lack of interest in marriage, Huddah’s perspectives rarely go unnoticed.

Drawing from personal observation, she recalled a specific couple whose seemingly idyllic romance she once envied. “A lady I used to follow was dating a very nice man. I wanted her kind of relationship so badly,” Huddah confessed.

However, she hinted at a significant and unfortunate event that dramatically shifted her perspective, leaving the details of this tragic turn of events to the reader’s imagination and underscoring the potential disconnect between online appearances and reality.

Fans React To Morara Kebaso Defending McOure

In a passionate appeal to Kenyan youth, fellow young leader and activist Morara Kebaso has urged them to reserve their judgment of Kasmuel McOure, advocating for an opportunity for McOure to share his side of the story.

Through an extensive message shared on his Facebook page, Kebaso argued that instead of rushing to condemn McOure, the youth should extend him the courtesy of explaining the decisions that have seemingly alienated many of his former supporters.

Kebaso to the rescue

Kebaso posited that McOure’s move to join the ODM party was a matter of self-preservation. He suggested that McOure faced potential danger had he not aligned himself with ODM, even going as far as to claim that McOure believed he “would probably have been killed and would not have been able to fight for comrades.”

Taking a stance in McOure’s defense, Kebaso conveyed his understanding of the motivations behind McOure’s actions, stating;

“I know the story, but it’s not mine to tell.” He also offered a poignant observation about the pressures faced by public figures, noting, “Many times we smile for the cameras, but deep inside is a lot of pain.”

Kebaso drew parallels between McOure’s situation and his own experiences, highlighting the significant personal sacrifices they both face in openly challenging the government, including;

“sacrificing your job, your family, your business, and your safety for Kenyans, but they end up calling you a conman or a project without evidence. Just because you have told them that tribal identity is not a qualification for leadership. Just because you have told them that corruption cannot solve corruption.”

Kebaso to the rescue

The activist directly addressed those who have labeled Kasmuel a traitor, imploring them to first lend him an ear and allow him to provide his own narrative.

This plea for understanding follows the recent reunion of Morara Kebaso and Kasmuel McOure, who together announced their renewed commitment to championing the voices of the youth, a demographic that constitutes the majority in Kenya.

Their alliance comes several months after Kasmuel’s widely perceived defection to the ODM party, which had entered into a cooperative agreement with the ruling government. During this period, Kasmuel appeared to distance himself from the youth movement that initially propelled him to prominence during protests the previous year, ultimately leading to ODM’s recognition. Consequently, his return to the fold has been met with considerable skepticism and accusations of betrayal from some within the youth ranks.

Despite the backlash, McOure continues to identify as a youth leader within ODM, asserting his commitment to advocating for youth issues within the party.

Meanwhile, Kebaso has resolutely declared his intention to persevere in his activism, undeterred by any attempts to discourage him through negative criticism.

“I will not stop. Even if you bring all the negative comments in this world to my post, I am fighting to the dying end. Call me a liar, a conman, a thief, a project, a traitor, anything. I’m never going back.”

He concluded his message with a hopeful and resolute statement about the future, saying;

“You may not join me today. But with time, your conscience will be clearer and your spirit will lead you this way.”

He credited his mother for her unwavering support. The artist also mentioned that he is currently signed to a record label that nurtures his talent.
