Larry Madowo Accused Of Stealing The Last Creative Piece He Wrote On Daily Nation

The NTV anchor-cum-Daily Nation columnist has been making a name for himself as a dope writer but even before he could join the league of Biko Zulu, he has been slapped with an allegation that has painted him in bad light.

Larry has mastered the art of sparking emotions from readers. His articles on Daily Nation are often accompanied by numerous comments that deeply criticize him for his divergent opinion.

One of Larry’s critics has gone a notch higher with an allegation that could cripple his writing career if only the claim could be proved to be the truth.

Larry has been accused of plagiarizing the last article he wrote on Daily Nation about fallen actress, Nana Gichuru.

The ‘plaintiff’ claims Larry ‘stole’ the last message he/she wrote to Nana Gichuru to compose the article that the Daily Nation columnist titled ‘Nana’s death and Internet hyenas’.

Larry brushed off the critic sarcastically admitting he plagiarized his/her work.

Blogger Strips The Ritzy Five-Star Hotel That Hosted And Fed President Obama When He Visited Kenya

President Obama made Kenyans think Villa Rosa Kempinski was the best of the best in hospitality industry, but Robert Alai has a different opinion altogether.

Not so many people have had the privilege of spending quality time at Villa Rosa Kempinski. But the appearance of the hotel from the road tells you it is a place you would wish to take a loan from Instantloans24.net and spend a night or two there.

The belief was further heightened by Obama’s visit to Kenya. Villa Rosa Kempinski hosted the world’s most powerful man and his extended family.

It’s also reported the US President spent the two nights he was in Kenya at Villa Rosa. For US security detail to ok Obama to sleep at Villa Rosa, surely the hotel must be the best in the game.

But not according to Robert Alai. The controversial blogger thinks Villa Rosa is hyped for no apparent reason.

He says he has spent time at Villa Rosa but he didn’t found out how the Westie hotel was better than Norfolk.

“After two days of work in Villa Rosa Kempinski, I seriously think that it’s overrated. Concrete jungle. Not anywhere near even the Norfolk.”

Vera Sidika Turns 21 Today. Check Out How She’s Gearing Up For Her Birthday Bash (Video)

Ahem! Am not alone in finding it hard to believe Vera Sidika was born on 30th September 1994 when black South Africans had just gained independence from the apartheid government.

Age, not so many people are comfortable disclosing details about their date of birth. Am sorry to say this but this is a problem that affects most ladies.

While most people add a year to their age after 364 days, others seem to be doing so after every 24 months.

There is a big possibility Vera Sidika belongs in the latter category. I mean she claims she has clocked 21 today but how long have we known her?

Look at it this way, Vera Sidika was only 18 years old when she featured in P Unit’s ‘dirtiest’ song ‘You Guy’ featuring Collo which dropped in 2012.

And by then she was already a student at Kenyatta University. So that means she joined KU before she clocked 18. So who did Vera bribe to be enrolled in public university when she was underage?

Some curious person on social media asked the socialite queen whether she will be 20 come next year. Of course she didn’t respond to that.

Anyhow, today is Vera’s big day, the 21-year-old has been really looking up to this day. Watch the video below to see how Vera has been gearing up for her big day;

She Brought “Mombasa Raha S*x Positions” To Our TV Screens, Now She Is Taking Kenyan Women into the Bush for This Naughty Activity

Gertrude Mungai has received both praise and cutting remarks for treading where many people fear to tread; talking about sex in public.

In a reserved country such as ours talking about sex in public is often frowned upon, maybe that is why Gertrude Mungai’s ‘Mombasa Raha Sex Positions’ caused such a hullabaloo.

For those who do not know, ‘Mombasa Raha Sex Positions’ was a segment on K24’s ‘Connect’ .In ‘Connect’ , Gertrude discussed Marriage, Family and career, intimacy and of course spicing up the bedroom -what she calls Mombasa Raha.

It got a little too-hot for TV when she simulated these positions on TV and people really caused a ruckus about it, while secretly watching the clips in the privacy of their homes.

Now the well known lifestyle designer on intimacy and relationships is hosting something special for Kenyan ladies. A pole dancing party in the bush (at Kitengela) where women will be taught how to work the pole while enjoying good music and get to talk to Gertrude Mungai.

Reformed Kenyan Hacker Lands Himself An Interview With Lupita Nyong’o!!

The first time that Ashnaam Cassim Mohammed or Ashnaam Maleek got countrywide limelight was at the popular NTV Friday show, The Trend with Larry Madowo.

He bamboozled Larry Madowo before leaving him confused with an intricate game of poker and meticulous shuffling of cards.  The Second time we  saw Ashaam on TV, it was on red alert, he was in the hands of the anti -terror police who had arrested him in connection to cyber crimes such as  hacking Facebook pages and creating pseudo accounts  to  drive Traffic to  his blog.

He was later released after relinquishing the ownership of the  said pages and judging from what he has been doing lately, he seems to have found a healthier way of hitting the big screen, especially with his viral video where he “interviewed” Lupita Nyongo!

The Video already has 50k views on Facebook in just a few days. You can follow the discussion here: Ashnaam Maleek  It is a hilarious parody that you seriously need to watch.

It appears thieves both big time and small time ones have to adapt to a whole new game now. As organizations and small enterprises, become adept to the use of security devices from bulletproof glasses to CCTV cameras.

The latter is almost a standard requirement and has helped in the nabbing of burglars and stopping many a would be thief. Such was the case of this unlucky guy on 25th. He walked in to an NGO found no one around and proceeded to help himself off with a laptop. All his movements and surveillance are captured in real time unbeknown to him. Here is the video,

TSK! TSK! Kajiado County Blows 2.5 Million On Phones

And they keep telling us that there is no money to pay teachers…

But apparently there is money to fritter away on wheelbarrows, hospital curtains, opening Facebook pages and even ‘opening’ transformers.

The wanton waste of taxpayers’ hard-earned in this country has become alarming .Kajiado county has joined the list of shame for blowing Sh2.5 million on 24 mobile phones for chief officers and executive committee members.

According to Nairobi News, the Governor David Nkedianye was put on the spot by the Senate County Public Accounts and Investment Committee to explain why he approved of the transaction that squandered such a huge amount of money.

With the senator asking why so much money was spent on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 smart phones while they could have bought cheaper ones that would have cost the county 30,000.

 David Nkedianye Photo Credits: sustainable-livestock.ilri.org

“Where is value for money when such an amount is used on gadgets that could have cost much less? You don’t just spend without getting value for money.” Kajiado Senator Peter Mositet declared.

In addition, the governor was arraigned before the Anyang’ Nyong’o headed committee for spending 12 million Kshs on private lawyers for legal services without following protocol.

Finding himself in quite the pickle, the governor told the committee the only one who could explain all this was the procurement officer.

Without This Woman Sauti Sol Wouldn’t Be Who They Are Today. She Gave Them a Chance When No One Cared

We all have that one person who was down for us when nobody gave two s**ts about who we were or how much potential we had.

And award-winning quartet Sauti Sol is no different. They had that point when they were down and out performing on the streets but their first ever manager saw something in them, signed them and as they say the rest is history.

Bien took to social media to praise the woman that turned them from a struggling acapella group into the megastars they are today;

Amsterdam with our first ever manager Nikita Terremoto. Took us from playing in the streets and gave us a shot when nobody really cared. God Bless you girl.”

Ringtone Apoko may have started out as a street urchin but his life has taken a turn for the better as he can now afford things he could only dream of .

The “Muziki ni Dawa” singer recently moved into a sprawling mansion in the leafy suburbs of Karen and bought himself a Range Rover and now he has acquired yet another guzzler.

The celebrated gospel singer who is still riding high on his latest single `Party Leo’, took to social media to show off his new toy, A Toyota Land Cruiser. Which he says is for his missions to school before expressing disappointment over the current situation in schools caused by the ongoing strike.

“I bought myself a fantastic Land Cruiser for school missions but looks like schools are not going to open soon.”

Janet Mbugua’s Husband Is Really Supportive. This Is What He Did For Her

Having an amazing partner by your side is an amazing thing and it’s even better if the person by your side is incredibly supportive .

Because with a supportive spouse you can achieve much more than you would with a Negative Nancy weighing you down. Just ask Tabitha Karanja of Keroche who attributes part of her success to a supportive husband who lets her shine without feeling intimidated by her success.

Janet Mbugua can also boast of a supportive husband. In June, the television host got married to one Peter Ndichu who has been a doting husband ever since.

He has been supporting her while they await their newborn, sharing the spotlight with his wife on the red carpet, supporting her in her acts of charity and even showing support for her when she received nationwide recognition.

Mrs. Ndichu was recently awarded for being one of the “40 under 40” at a Gala dinner held by the Business Daily and by her side was her Husband.

Here are some photos of Janet and Hubby from the event that saw the best women in the game get recognized:

Vote For Etemesi

, I have decided to dedicate my post to seeking votes. A few weeks ago, I was included among the five nominees for the ‘Facebook Personality Award’ in the 2015 SOMA Awards (You can vote for me by clicking here). It kinda came as a mild surprise to me because I am not one of the Facebook celebrities that post jokes, strong opinions and fancy photos to get 500 likes. People know me more for my entertaining, informative and rather controversial articles.

However, I learned that I am one of the most mentioned people on Facebook. My articles get over 100 shares daily on the site. People post links to my pieces with all sorts of captions such as ,”Etemesi nailed it on this one.”, “This is utter nonsense, how can a grown man write something like this”, “Etemesi is the best writer I have ever seen”. “Etemesi sucks big time”. “Etemesi is now writing for international blogs”, “I love Etemesi” , “ Etemesi is an idiot….pure crap.”, “I wanna marry this guy Etemesi” and so on.

A lot of people love my work. They call me ‘The Sheriff”. They call me “The love doctor”. They inbox me every day. If only each letter of praise they composed about me would be a dollar, I would be wealthier than Pablo Escobar in his hey dey. A lot of people get pissed off by my work too. They write hate novels about me on their Facebook updates whenever I write a controversial story. They call me a cock-totting, punani-thirsty, morality-destroying bigot. The good thing is that even those that hate my work still read and share. They would love to dismiss me as a sideshow, except I keep dominating and sometimes they have no clue whether to engage, attack, ignore or suck up in response

I have come to forge my own way of writing that credential pundits of decent writing and parasites of ‘literature’ don’t approve of. They have a certain set of expectations an, unwritten rules and ways of doing things that I keep flouting and rubbishing in the most indelicate of ways, But it’s all good

Nevertheless, this award would definitely mean a lot to me. I have never won anything in my life. The most I ever came close to winning was at the SMA Awards in Lagos earlier this year. I had been nominated for the ‘Best African Blogger’ award. I missed out on the coveted prize but it was still a CV-boosting feat.

I understand that this SOMA nomination is a win-win situation for me. If I lose, I still go back to being Philip Etemesi, even bigger and more charged up. But winning is always a good feeling. It don’t know how having a cabinet full of trophies feels but I’d definitely love to experience such aura

So please vote for me

Vote for ‘Philip Etemesi for the ‘Facebook Personality Award’

Con Men Storm Kenya National Theater

Con men, or con artists, are seldom seen in plays, not because they are hard characters to write, but because con men plays are. Any great con man play requires several things: an airtight con, an intriguing “mark” or foil, and a ton of misdirection both for the characters in the play and the audience. But most importantly, every great con man play needs a great con man – someone who is charming, clever, cunning, and occasionally ruthless. They are typically good at heart, at least in the plays, but their goals are never noble. And make no mistake – con men are not mere thieves

Maina Olwenya plays the great con man…Mwaura N Bilal plays his sidekick. Lined up for conning are a bank manager played by Juma ‘Anderson’ Williams, Jewellery expert played by TPF finalist Alvan Gatitu, his sister performed by Janet Kirina, His sister’s husband played by Robert Agengo, his sister’s friend (who’s heart he must steal as well) played by Rosemary Waweru. 9-11 October at Kenya National Theatre. Watu Hutoka Mbali, Here Is Kenrazy’s Photo As A Toddler

Kenrazy the self proclaimed best lyricist is a man for the clubbers and dance floor fanatics. His gyrating friendly hits since Ti-chi have earned him praise and fans alike.

He has now the title of Ghipuka General amongst many others but it wasn’t always this way. Actually looking at his toddler picture he had the makings of an altar boy back then when the crazy had not added to Ken and when he was still just a ‘Mbilikimo’ and not a ‘mbilikimo mkora’. The photo surfaced yesterday which was the day of birth of Kenrazy. When Willy M Tuva took time to wish him belated birthday wishes and show how far the kaptula clad kid had risen to. Here is the photo and Mzazi’s happy birthday message to Kenrazy.

What A Surprise! Alicia Keys’ Hubby Sweeps Diamond Off His Feet (Video)

After conquering the continent, Diamond is making headways in America; Alicia Keys’ husband confirmed this with his action.

America is the mother of all good music. It’s hard to imagine African music could infiltrate the already clogged US industry.

So far, only Nigerian artists have been leading the way in collaborating with US artists, keeping close contact with them and making them dance to Naija tune.

We have heard the case of Rihanna dancing to Flavour‘s hit song, ‘Nwa Baby’ while Alicia Keys and her hubby, Swizz Beatz, were caught on camera shaking legs to Wizkid’s ‘Ojuelegba’ And ‘Caro’ Songs.

Well, it seems the American celebrity couple has a taste for African songs. Swizz Beatz and her daughter recorded themselves dancing to Diamond’s hit ‘Nana’.

Diamond says he was utterly surprised by Swizz Beatz’s approval of his song. He also confirmed Alicia Keys’ hubby was following him on Instagram.

Thrilled Kenyans Spectate As KCB And Chase Bank Exchange Fire In Public

Call it the most exciting corporate war of recent times. Kenyans couldn’t help but laugh when two commercial banks decided to jump on each others’ neck.

The battle took place on social media of course. You didn’t expect Chase Bank CEO, Duncan Kabui, and his KCB counterpart, Joshua Oigara, to roll up their sleeves and take to the street to settle their brawl, did you?

Well, it’s KCB that started the provocation. The bank being the largest commercial bank in Kenya in terms of assets, obviously assumed it could push around Chase Bank without the latter responding with a significant threat.

Well, the underdog surprised the giant. Chase Bank was swift enough to land a knockout blow on the protruding skull of KCB.

KCB posted a photo of a lion that had pounced on a buffalo trying to pluck its backbone. The caption read ‘The Only Chase We Know.’

On its Part, Chase Bank posted a photo of a lion corned by herd of steamed buffalos. The lion had sought refuse on top a tree. The caption read ‘The jungle has its surprises.’

KCB lacked a comeback, they went mum after Chase Bank hit them with the Mohammed Ali-like-knockout blow.

Their banter attracted lots of Kenyans who couldn’t help but cheer on Chase Bank for their laughable response.

How it Went Down at Sam West’s Comedy Launch. (pics)

The much hyped comedy show finally went down at the British council over the weekend. Friday to be exact.

First the venue was fully packed an hour to the show. With guests from all over the entertainment scene present one could tell their expectation.

The ushers too did not disappoint as they were dressed to impress, one would be intimidated to take your rural girlfriend.

The man of the night was none other than Sam West and the show was hosted by JB.

Sam West took the comedy scenes in Kenya to a whole different level when he left the audience in stitches after he decided to venture where Kenyan comedians have never tried the bedroom!!

sam_5.JPG

His particular piece was quite interesting as it majored on issues affecting the society. Sam West became the first comedian to tackle sensitive relationship issues but in a comical way which one would feel comfortable watching with your old fox. His jokes had a Western influence and one would easily confuse his way of stand up with that of international acts such as South African comic Trevor Noah.

sam_4.JPG

To back him up was Solinga music band who rocked the crowd leaving it thrilled. Other artists who performed at the show were recorded and you should expect it on your screens soon.

Among other musicians present that night included DNA.

The rest of the pics shall be uploaded by my colleague Tonny Ndung’u

Kenya’s First Openly Gay ‘Senator’ Forms His Own Political Party

Obama may have legalized same-sex marriage in the U.S.A, but back in his home-country, the topic is still very controversial. So controversial is this topic that coming out as gay makes it to front page news.

In Kenya, very few celebrities or politicians have come out.In the entertainment scene we have only one openly gay musician, one openly gay author and openly gay politicians are unheard of here. But there is this trail blazer who is pushing gay rights as well as everybody’s rights forward while furthering his political career.

Kuchu Times reports that Kenya’s first openly gay politician popularly called “Senator David Kuria Mbote” has formed a political party after his unsuccessful strive for the Kiambu Senate seat back in 2012.

DAVID_KURIA.jpg

Mbote pulled out of the race citing lack of security and insufficient funding for his campaign but he is back and has formed The Equality Party of Kenya which is still in its formative stage.

The party needs 24000 founding members from at least 25 counties and those interested in joining the party can submit their applications to allpeoplesparty@outlook.com
