Earlier today Martin wrote the disturbing story of the disappearance of  Tom Alai.- Robert Alai’s Brother. 

 The circumstances surrounding his disappearance were scant but   According to Alai, his brother  was last seen on Thursday 26th November at Kinoo. Tom Alai was reportedly knocked by a speeding motorist as he crossed Waiyaki Way.- The motorist, we were further told offered to take him to hospital but never did. 

After a frantic search for the  brother, the family found his body at city mortuary-  Robert Alai on a statement he wrote on social media said that  the person who had knocked him down dumped him in Gitaru around Kikuyu and it is the Kikuyu police that took him to the morgue. 

This comes only a day after Ruth Knaust passed on after a drunk motorist rammed onto her car along Valley road. It is unfortunate that innocent people continue to perish at the hand of reckless road users. 

Our condolences to the Alai family and those affected by the sudden demise of Tom Alai- our hearts go out to you.

They are one of Kenya’s favorite couples but there is something that they are doing that is getting the fans hot under the collar.

Apparently the fans are not so thrilled that they have not yet revealed the face of their daughter Ladasha Belle. A scene we witnessed with Diamond Platnumz and Zari the Boss lady who refused to disclose their daughter’s face until they had a grand reveal which doubled up as an endorsement.

Steve Mbogo is among the wealthiest-not forgetting most flamboyant young people we have around.

For those who do not know, Steve is a businessman and an aspiring politician who enjoys the finer things in life. You might spot him in the club with premium babes such as NTV’s Wanjiru Muthoni or partying with his Rich List gang in a P.Diddy like yacht .

Steve Mbogo was recently at a Big Sean and Trey Songz Concert at Rush Bar and Club at The Yas Hotel, Abu Dhabi. The concert is said to have been organized by the Rich List Group and was held during the biggest weekend on the UAE’s social calendar the grand prix.

It’s reported that a woman lost her pregnancy during the daze at Strathmore University which also witnessed other numerous injuries.

Following the dreadful Garissa University massacre, a number of higher learning institutions have conducted terror drills to assess their preparedness in such kind of situations.

While drills at other varsities were successful, Strathmore University witnessed chaos that resulted to injuries that could otherwise been avoided if the institution had planned the drill well.

Students scampered for safety in all directions the moment live shots were heard. Some even jumped from storey buildings as the escaped not knowing it was only a drill.

The number of casualties is yet to be ascertained.

It is rarely that Femi One gets to disappoint and even then you always feel it is events or people handling her projects that let her down.

This time though for whatever reason I feel that she has really played us with her new song ‘Brikicho’. Really you get the feeling that she just tried something that back fired pretty badly.

Having been silent for quite a while, when she came through I expected her to have something hot, worth the wait but she decided to play us a brikicho. Her rapping was down to more of spelling, I am still trying to figure out what the video director was trying and wondering what the hell happened.

The industry welcomed her well and many of us love her hard rap and word play laced with metaphors, she just lost us here. She really should be stepping up not doing this. Check the video below and make your judgement.

 

 

The socialite queen is at it again, ‘killing’ thirsty brothers with photos of her flawless body in skimpy outfits.

Vera’s choice of cloth was the subject of discussion on social media over the weekend. The socialite exposed her skin and dudes started sweating.

The socialite queen decided to show off her bleached body in a tiny combat underwear and a braless sweater.

Vera was provocatively biting her finger while her other hand was pulling down her tattered purple short to give viewers a clear glimpse of her combat panty.

If combat panties exist, then certainly kitenge underwears must also be in circulation and maybe we shall see Vera flaunting one soon.

The reaction that Vera’s photo generated is what is more interesting. Team Mafisi were openly disclosing their desire to smash the socialite.

Last weekend, the comedian left Kenya for the tiny East African nation of Rwanda for a money-minting mission. And he nailed it.

Chipukeezy started his first standup comedy in Dubai a month ago. The comedian is continuing with his journey to fly on his own wing.

Chipu made it to Kigali for another show last weekend and he found love in the beautiful city. Rwandese turned up in their numbers to lend Chipukeezy their ears.

The arena was filled to capacity and the Kenyan comedian pulled out his best jokes to keep the audience laughing all night long.

He will be heading to Banana Republic in one weeks time, on 9^th December 2015, to entertain Museveni and his countrymen and women.

Another one bites the dust…is word on the street in regards to Prezzo’s latest relationship.

The two lovebirds who have flaunted their love outrageously for the last few months have pulled down all their love photos on Instagram, leading to speculation that the two have split. The only semblance of a relationship between the two is a video on Prezzo’s Instagram while all other photos have been pulled down, even the ones where they were frolicking on the beach together.

Michelle on her part had shared photos of the two looking lovey-dovey; those posts have since been deleted.

A scene that is often seen when two people break up, so they delete the photos as a way of wiping the slate clean and avoid going down memory lane.

So have the two broken up or are they trying to keep their relationship private and keep it from prying eyes?

She could have been silent on blogs and other news outlets but she is certainly very active on an online dating site.

Nice Githinji is not a new face on social scene. The actress has starred in a number of local productions including Makutano Junction, Changing Times among others.

Well, it seems the actress hasn’t found Prince Charming yet. Nice was spotted on a location-based dating site, Tinder.

“A hot 30-year-old girl from Nairobi” Nice’s profile on Tinder conspicuously read for any potential suitor to see.

Whoever thought that leaking DJ Crème De la Crème’s sex tape would ultimately ruin his checkered DJ’ing career made the wrong conclusion. But honestly, we all thought that that tape would torpedo his career and crumble his young marriage.

I mean, wasn’t it utterly tasteless? Wasn’t he ridiculously poor in it? And wasn’t he, by the time the tape leaked, happily married and still one of Kenya’s most sought after DJs? Why, then, wouldn’t such a leak break him into pieces?

But no. Not so fast. Even after Trending on Twitter for like two days-Oh, Worldwide Twitter-and being the butt of many a bedroom puns and memes, it seems like The good DJs bedroom, eeer, turntables skills still haven’t lost touch.

Last Friday (Nov. 27) popular Thika Road club Natives was celebrating its 2nd Anniversary and who best to bring the house down than the grainy sex tape star, DJ Crème? Yes, that exactly was he plan.

DJ Crème, by the way, recently released some song titled ‘SITAKUSAHAU’ dedicated to pretty much any celebrity we’ve fatally lost in the last decade or so. And to be honest, I’ve not gotten around to listening to it. And no, I’ve no plans whatsoever.

He features akina Prezzo, Bigpin and Ulopa Ngoma in that song that I hope is good given how crappy every other tribute song usually is. So, last Friday, at Natives Club, DJ Crème de la Crème was among a motley crew of artists and DJs that were meant to put on a show in celebration of Natives’ 2nd Year in business..

Everyone came. Including that other DJ,DJ Kaytrixx. And for like 4 hours or so, it was Kaytrixx and some other DJs who were holding it down at the DJ booth. Driving the crowd wild in their own way… And not doing so badly.

I got there with my Ghafla! crew, half of which was dead drunk. And for lack of seats, we were ushered (Yes, ushered) to the VIP section. The same place that Prezzo, Big Pin and their entourage were meant to sit.

In fact, the tables had been reserved for Prezzo and crew. With a tacky paper written shoddily ‘Presso’. Presso? Oh OK.

We sat there for like an hour, lucky we’d found perfect seats and also glad we’d be away from the crazy, rowdy crowds flocking all over the place.

Alas! Who shows up? Prezzo. And we’re immediately moved to some other section. But still, not so bad.

Oh, back to DJ Crème…

Now, after many hours of partying and dancing and prancing and losing it, the man himself came through.

First there was some silence… And then the lights blinked. And then some familiar voice came on… He announced himself. DJ mathafuckin de la Crème.

The moment he announced his presence, the whole club went insane. No one else mattered. Nothing else mattered actually.

‘Hey Ladies… I’m your DJ.. They call DJ Crème de la Crème….. ‘

He didn’t have to say it no more. Crowd already went wild. Ladies lost themselves. The sort of screams and wild shouts that rent the air could be heard miles away.

And then he got into business. And, trashing what every other clowny DJ had done before him, DJ Crème took over and took control. Playing a list of the latest, happiest hits. Scratch by scratch, mix by mix, tune by tune, selection by selection, DJ Crème made his presence known. And reminded us just who he was. Sex tape or not.

And after every minute, he’d pause to announce his name, make some shoutouts, holler at the ladies and generally hype the crowd up.

There were thousands of people at Natives. From the hallway to the VIP to the inner lounge to the tents. Crowds upon crowds of excited people, drunk people, party lovers, wild people.

And when the DJ called Crème came on, doing his thing for almost two hours, it was clear who the KING was. Forgetting about his sex tape and the drama that followed it, the ladies went wild. Throwing the whole place into a maddening scream fest, hands in the air, screaming his name, acknowledging his presence, going all wild and crazy for him.

And for the next few hours, Mr. Crème proved to them ladies just who runs the World. And they all agreed, it IS him.

Scandal aside, drama aside, nothing, from what I witnessed, seemed to have hurt DJ Crème. In fact, his popularity seemed to have grown two fold. Ice never seen a DJ get such a mad reception, drive crowds so crazy, make the ladies go so wild, blow up a room so much and endear themselves so much to a thunderous gang of revelers.

Last weekend, DJ Crème won. And won big.

Back in the day, people used to get a large number of children, mainly because it was more affordable than it is now.

Ruth a mother of two met her untimely death after an inebriated driver drunkenly rammed into her car .Before she passed away Ruth had shared these photos of her night before she sadly passed away.

Well the sex tape came and went with it the storm and one man has come out stronger than expected, Dj Crème. Indeed, you can even say he was the only beneficiary of the whole debacle. He has become known nationwide after trending and instead of losing some of his corporate gigs, he has gained more gigs and come out quite the family man. So what have we learnt from all these?

1. The Kenyan public forgets stuff easily. After the trolling and the jokes the whole hullabaloo was out in about three days. Either we have short memories or there is just a lot of stuff that comes with each news day. Even the stubborn Waiguru trend did fade away. So celebrities and public figures do not be shy of the controversy, it will go away soon.
2. In showbiz there is nothing like bad publicity. In showbiz all publicity is good if well managed. The thing is just be in the news and trend, let people find out who you are, work it out to your advantage and bank on it.
3. There is good value in PR. The first reaction from Crème’s camp was to ignore the whole thing and later posing a photo with the family in an attempt to show they were still going strong. This kind of backfired and just fuelled further speculation. It was not until he penned that touching letter to all parties concerned and accepting responsibilities that he came out as Raila would say ‘safi kama pamba’
4. Most Kenyan celebrities are turncoats, hypocrites and backstabbers. When the tape came out, everyone outside the celebrity circles was having a roast and enjoying it. A few celebrities too had their reactions criticizing the actions but most kept too quiet as if they were plotting something. Then after the apology, everyone was flooding their followers’ time line with it and trying to jump of the bandwagon of standing with Dj Crème.  It was a wait and see what happens.
5. Kenyans love sex and seeing how other people go along about it. The way in which Mollis, Bro Ocholla and the set tape trended just showed a good sex story will always trend. There is actually no bad sex story, the Kenyan public will feast on a sex scandal faster than they protest a corruption scandal.

We all know her as a simple reserved girl with a touching story, beautiful face and a set of rap skills to match so it came as a surprise to stumble upon her in such a predicament.

I’m talking about rapper Wangechi who set it upon herself to change Kenya’s rap scene and in the process she has ended up attracting the attention of not one but two mega superstars who are supposedly fighting for her attention.

I’m talking about Tanzanian heart throb Ben Pol and International mega star Silvastone who are both head over hills and could care less expressing their feelings in the limelight, hoping and praying they win over her heart.
