Shenaiza Ali is best known as Chozi la Almasi on Milele FM where she hosts mid-morning show alongside comedian Ole Matope.

Yesterday Education CS Fred Matiangi released the 2016 KCSE results much to the shock of many.

In the history of Kenya, KCSE results have never been released in December and matiangi’s continued transformation of the educational sector is receiving much appreciation from all Kenyans across the board.

Now this is not the only shocking thing that came with the release of the results, only 141 candidates scored grade A countrywide, representing a sharp decline from last year when 2,685 candidates scored the same grade.

And out of the top 20 best performers, only 4 were boys and one Joe Muchiri seems to have an explanation as to why this happened.

Kweli kila kitu kina mwisho! Former Inspector General of Police David Kimaiyo now lives in a state of severe despair at his retirement home

David Kimaiyo used to be the most powerful man in the Kenya police service, but now he is being choked by problems that are associated with common citizens.

Mr. Kimaiyo was the first Inspector General of the Kenya Police; a position created by the 2010 constitution to replace the position of Police Commissioner.

Kimaiyo’s position guaranteed him security at his home in Nairobi and Marakwet East for the four years he served as Police IG.

But ever since he was forced to retire following a series of killings claimed by Al Shabaab on the Kenyan border, security at Kimaiyo’s home ‘disintegrated’.

The former IG’s retirement home in Marakwet East has been raided thrice by heavily armed bandits in the recent past.

The latest incident happened on Thursday December 29^th where bandits raided Kimaiyo’s home and stole 50 goats although they were later recovered after police intervened.

But prior to the December 29^th incident, bandits cut barbed wire and wire mesh at the former police IG’s home and took ten goats; the incident happened on 25^th December 2016.

A worried Kimaiyo expressed concern over the attacks saying that he was living like an IDP.

“Three weeks ago, they ambushed my herdsman and went away with five goats including those of other farmers. On the night of December 25th, they cut the barbed wire and wire mesh in my home and took ten goats. It is sad that a former IG is living like an IDP in his home,” David Kimaiyo was quoted by the Standard.

Kimaiyo linked his woes to his political ambition, he plans to unseat Kipchumba Murkomen as the next senator for Elgeyo Marakwet county.

“This is an attempt aimed at scaring me especially after I announced my intention to contest for a political seat in the county” Kimaiyo was quoted by the Star.

Thursday 29^th December 2016…A 34-year old’s prediction of a home win for Belgian First Division A team Charleroi made him narrowly miss winning Sh147 million in last week’s SportPesa Mega Jackpot.

Geoffrey Chepchilat managed 16 correct predictions out of the 17 in the Mega Jackpot Combo to win Sh21,000,850 bonus for his effort. His win makes him the second person to come closest to winning the multi-million shilling Mega Jackpot that now stands at Ksh152,447,306.

Anderlecht won against his Charleroi prediction costing him a close hundreds-of-millions win.

The first person to ever hit the 16 correct predictions mark is Peter Byegon, a Nairobi resident who won Sh36 million last week.

“I am still happy for this win even though I missed the Mega Jackpot win. I shall keep trying until I get lucky,” said the happy gamer.

Chepchilat, a tea picker who works in Kericho said on a good day he earns Sh300. “The highest amount of money I have ever held or had in my entire life is Sh80,000. This is the first time I will hold millions in my account,” he said happily.

“I would like to thank God for this win and tell others that SportPesa is real and payments are immediate,” he added.

The SportPesa client started betting in August after his friend won Sh3,700 from playing the Multi Bet games.

SportPesa Chief Marketing Officer Kester Shimonyo congratulated Chepchilat for the win and urged him to spend the money wisely.

“We are ready to help him with financial advisory as well as legal services. The idea is to ensure that the money enriches the lives of our customers so we take great caution to protect them from any exploitation,” said Shimonyo.

2016 has been quite the year in the crazy department. For the first time we witnessed pesticide being used to cure HIV and cancer and also at the same time witness a Nigerian prophet attempting to walk on water. He failed terribly of course!

All this however doesn’t quite come close to what I’m going to narrate to you; it’s simply unbelievable to comprehend.

It’s the story of a woman named Sonoe Azuma who has a travel company which specializes in taking your stuffed animals for a tour across the world.

Fired Royal Media employees find new jobs at a budding TV station

They say when one door closes another one opens somewhere else; Royal media employees who have been jobless for a few months have landed new employment opportunities at a new TV station.

Royal Media Services (RMS) laid off over 100 employees in October 2016 following a drop in revenue which was caused by the infamous digital migration that also saw other major media houses like Nation Media Group (NMG) and Standard Group trim their workforce.

Terryanne Chebet, Kirigo Nga’rua among others, were some of the popular RMS employees that were axed in October.

Some of RMS employees who were retrenched have however found safe haven at a newly launch vernacular TV station dubbed Weru TV.

The TV station which broadcasts in Meru language, now enjoys the services of John Marete who is the CEO, Young Muthomi and Makena Wamatiri, all who used to work at RMS.

The already station is up and running on Signet; its target audience is Meru, Tharaka Nithi, Embu , Isiolo and Laikipia counties.

DJ Mo finally Responds after being blasted online for sharing photo of himself in the bathtub with daughter. He appeared to be in his birthday suit

It sucks being DJ Mo right now going by all the trolls that camped on his instagram yesterday- trust me they came in droves.

The gospel DJ cum Broadways Ambassador found himself in a tight spot after he shared a photo of himself and the daughter in the bathtub- he appeared to be in his birthday suit.

This sparked great debate among his followers who accused him of being indecent, immoral and totally uncouth. All manner of skewed narratives were being advanced that DJ MO had to come and explain he was in a short and that nothing besides sitting in the bathtub was in the offing.

Still Kenyans wouldn’t take it. One asked him to Tiga Wana- expect someone to always get personal and act African and DJ Mo couldn’t hold it in anymore. He had to say something and according to him, he doesn’t subscribe to tradition- which I’m thinking dictates you shouldn’t be caught dead in the Jacuzzi with your daughter.

Akothee’s daughter was among those who excelled in the closely monitored 2016 KCSE examination. The way the “Benefactor” singer is celebrating her daughter’s excellence you would think she was the one who sat for the exam.

Education Cabinet Secretary, Fred Matiang’I, has managed to curb cases of cheating in national examinations; and the result was a sharp decrease in the number of students who scored ‘As’ and an upsurge of ‘Es’ in 2016 KCSE.

Akothee’s daughter, Celine, managed to score a grade that will take her to university; her mother didn’t reveal the grade she attained but from Akothee’s words one could tell Celine’s grade was something above C+.

Humphrey Ngoni wa Thuita better known as Ole Matope on Vitimbi, celebrated his 8^th wedding anniversary on December 29^th.

The 34 year old actor-cum-Milele FM presenter has a beautiful wife called Rose Njeri, and they have two adorable sons.

Ole Matope showed off his family as he celebrated his eighth wedding anniversary; he thanked his wife for choosing him to be her husband.

“With you, I became a better person. Without you, my life will never be complete. Thank you for choosing me as your better half. Happy anniversary! My life My wife my Njee 8 years and counting. I wanna grow old with you,” Ole Matope wrote.

2016 is ending on a high note as nominated ODM MP Isaac Mwaura and his wife are the recent celebrity couple to announce they are expecting their first child days after Sharon Mundia revealed she was pregnant.

The ODM MP’s wife seems to be in her early third trimester and might pop anytime soon. The couple has however kept a low profile about their pregnancy until just recently when they shared photos their romantic baby bump photo-shoot.

Judging from Isaac Mwaura’s smile, one can tell he is pretty much excited about his first child with the love of his life. No word yet on the baby’s sex or potential name but the couple seem smitten by a baby they haven’t met.

Bien-Aime turned 29 years a few days and to mark this special day on social media the Sauti Sol member posted a touching message thanking his friends for the warm wishes as he also remembered his late biological mother.

The singer who has been doing well is said to have celebrated his birthday in coast with his girlfriend, Chikuruka. He however made sure to keep the celebrations on the low to avoid publicity unlike his band-mate Polycarp who got a suprise birthday party fro his long-term girlfriend.

Through his gram Bien Aime wrote to say,

Italian billionaire Flavio Briatore is in Kenya for holiday, he touched down in Malindi aboard his private jet.

Briatore is a regular visitor to the Kenyan coast; he visits Malindi at least twice a year. He has invested in the Lion In The Sun hotel and spa in the coastal town.

Mpasho reports that Flavio Briatore arrived in Malindi on 23^rd December with his model wife Elisabetta Gregoraci among other people.

For the unacquainted, Flavio Briatore was Renault team boss for Formula One until he was forced out in 2009 after he was accused of rigging the outcome of 2008 Singapore Grand Prix.

Briatore is also known for his aptitude as a skirt-chaser; he has previously dated some of the world’s most beautiful women including British supermodel Naomi Campbell and German-American model Heidi Klum, with whom he has a daughter.

Naomi Campbell split with the Italian billionaire in 2002 claiming she was being used as a trophy; Heidi Klum ended her relationship with the F1 boss after he was spotted kissing another woman while she was pregnant with their daughter.

History aside, Flavio Briatore touched down in Malindi aboard his private jet registration number N990BB.

Former NTV reporter Richard Chacha buys his daughter Mercedes Benz for excelling in 2016 KCSE

When KCPE results were released, Richard Chacha bought his younger daughter a goat. And when Matiang’I released 2016 KCSE, he bought his elder daughter a Mercedes.

Richard Chacha was appointed the Director of Communication and Public Relations Mombasa County sometimes in November 2015. This was after Nation Media Group sent him packing.

The former NTV reporter is faring well in Mombasa judging from the gift he handed out to his elder daughter.

Chacha bought his daughter, Harriet Chacha, a Mercedes Benz E200 as a gift for excelling in 2016 KCSE. Harriet, who was a student at Mary Hill Secondary School in Thika, scored a mean grade of B plain.

“Kusema na kutenda. I promised her a car and B plain has delivered it. Congratulations my daughter,” Richard Chacha said as he handed his daughter the Mercedes.

Fashion fail: Wasafi record’s 1st lady trolled for her bikini

Queen Darleen left many shocked on Christmas eve when she stepped out in a red bikini suit that did not clearly favor her body.

The singer became a laughing stock when one of her photos revealed she had worn ‘nude’ stockings under her swimming suit, something very awkward and weird to be witnessed at a beach party.

The Tanzanian superstar was bullied on social media moments after her photos were released online by the official Wasafi photographer who was present at the beach party.

However, being Wasafi Record’s first lady the photo was later pulled down to protect her image but unluckily for her, screenshots were already making rounds on social media.

The lady’s attire was however not the only weird outfit witnessed at the Wasafi party as some chose to come in rave outfits, suits and even jeans at the beach Party.

Zari Hassan reveals her private tattoo hiden in her underwear region

Zari Hassan recently left many wondering whether she had a tattoo in her underwear area or whether her pubic hair had popped out of her panty line in a photo she shared on her social media handles.

The lass who is popularly known for her role as Diamond Platnumz baby mama had shared the photo to flaunt her waist trainer that had helped her stream down the baby fat weeks after welcoming her son, Nillan Dangote.

However, looking closely at the photo one is able to see a farm print on her leg that looks like pubic hair or rather a dark tattoo that has never been revealed before.

The photo however raised mixed reactions as most fans trolled her for trying too hard to please the crowd with her skimpy attired wherelse her age did not allow that. Some were quick to compare her with model Hamisa Mobetto’s natural curves, the lady rumoured to be Diamond Platnumz side woman.

A week has since elapsed since the KTN anchor lost her posh Mercedes Benz which had been parked at her workplace.

Joy Doreen Biira’s car, silver Mercedes Benz E220 with registration number KBY 831K, was stolen from the car park of Standard Group headquarters along Mombasa Road in Nairobi on December 22^nd at around 7:40pm.

Biira’s colleague, Mohammed Ali, sounded the alarm after the Mercedes went missing; he urged Kenyans to assist them track the car.

A week after her car disappeared, Joy Doreen Biira decided to offer Kenyans incentive as she gets desperate to recover her Mercedes.

The KTN anchor put a notice on a local daily offering handsome reward to anyone who will offer information leading to recovery of her lost Mercedes Benz E220.

Boniface Mwangi’s grade in 2016 KCSE certifies him to apply for a police job

Rights Activist Boniface Mwangi was among form four candidates who sat for their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination a few months ago. Unfortunately Boniface FAILED!

C+ is the cutoff for students joining public universities in Kenya; anything less that C+ is usually considered a failure.

This year a total of 482,332 KCSE candidates failed to attain the mean grade of C+, Boniface Mwangi was among them.

The Rights Activist has refused to reveal the grade he scored but he hinted that he had failed to attain anything close to C+.

“Going by my #KCSE2016 results l am now qualified to be a Kenyan police officer,” Boniface Mwangi tweeted.

For one to be a police officer in Kenya, he/she was be a Kenyan citizen, must have national ID and must have attained a minimum qualification of ‘D+’( Plus) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination with a ‘D+’ (Plus) in either English or Kiswahili languages.

So there is a possibility that Boniface’s grade could be D+ or anything close to that. But all in all, KCSE results mean nothing to him since he has already made it in life. He needed KCSE certificate to vie for Starehe parliamentary seat next year.

The High Court has directed Mbita MP Millie Odhiambo to present herself before the OCS Parliament police station to record a statement in a case where she is seeking anticipatory bond for her remarks in parliament over the presidency.

This directive was made by Justice Wakianga after the the DPP said he was not ready to proceed with the matter. This was before he disqualified himself from the case citing vested interests since he comes from the same area as Millie Odhiambo.

The Mbita MP became the talk of the town after she was caught on camera hurling all manner of insults at the president much to the awe of the public which differed equally on the legitimacy of them matter.

The second hearing on the matter by the duty judge is scheduled for 10^th January 2017.

“Jacuzzi time with my daughter just bonding – she needs my full attention before January Ladasha belle Wambo- our other partner is in the kitchen SIZE 8” DJ Mo captioned a photo of his daughter and him enjoying quality time in the bathtub.

DJ Mo was thought to be in his birthday suit when he posed for a photo with his daughter in a jacuzzi bathtub.

The gospel mix master was forced to explain that he had put on a short when Kenyans started asking questions.

“Of course am in my shorts hahaha some people you have to explain till you drop,” DJ Mo responded.

But even so, some people still found his action to be obscene since most African cultures clearly define the relationship between a father and a daughter; and bathing together is something that is considered offensive to accepted standards of decency.

Panic in Uhuru Kenyatta’s camp as latest opinion poll puts Raila Odinga miles ahead

President Uhuru Kenyatta’s approval rating has SERIOUSLY plummeted, if the result of the latest opinion poll is anything to go by.

Opinion poll conducted by renowned lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi to determine the popularity of Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta has send chills down the spine of Jubilee supporters.

Grand Mullah conducted the poll on Twitter between December 26 and 27^th; a total of 7012 respondents participated in the poll.

The results put Raila ahead at 60% while the president’s approval rating was at 40%. Most people cited runaway corruption and the government’s inability to resolve doctors’ strike as the reason why they preferred Raila over Uhuru.

Jubilee supporters were however adamant that the poll didn’t reflect the opinion of most Kenyans; they argued that the opinions of 7000 Kenyans who participated in poll couldn’t be a representative sample of the entire population.

A few weeks ago, Kenya’s literally genius Binyavanga Wainaina came out to expose the level of frustrations Kwani Trust board, an institution he founded was putting him through.

Apparently the board had refused to release funds from his medical fund which were meant to fund a trip for him and his Navy based boyfriend in South Africa during this festive season. This is what he posted online:

i am crying. I dont know what to do. I think the Board at Kwani is going to say no to me taking my – in-love to South Africa for a holiday using my Medical Fund. i have been in love with this man for five years. we have spent five days together. IN THE Past year. Even his post is dangerous for him. He is in the navy. He is very stressed. He was in Somalia. HE was supposed to travel and meet me in Germany this December. My fellowship DAAD was going to sponsor him. Unfortunately the navy does not allow people so low, to come to Europe. So i had the idea to take him to South Africa for a month. He needs me. That I have to come to social media is because i think they Board ARE being very cruel.”

Now it seems his woes are far from over and in that regard he has resulted to denouncing Kenya and resulting to settle in South Africa when he comes back from Germany in April next year. This is mostly due to the Boards action which seem to deter him from seeing his Navy boyfriend.

A waitress at Macchiato Restaurant in Rongai has been fired by her Australian boss after she failed to kiss and hug him as usual.

A lady who wished to remain anonymous wrote to Robert Alai complaining about how she had been fired on Boxing Day for failing to kiss and hug her boss.

The lady explained that she had been working as a waitress at Macchiato Restaurant in Rongai where her Australian boss, Andrew Savage, was sexually harassing her.

She revealed that Mr. Savage had been forcing her to hug and kiss him every time she got to her usual shift.

The lady says that she got tired of her boss’ harassment and decided ward him off on Christmas Day only to get fired the following day.

“Hi Alai, I’m a waitress in a restaurant (Macchiato Restaurant) at Rongai along Magadi Road.My boss (Australian; Andrew Savage) forces me to hug and kiss him every time I get to my usual shift,I usually refuse and he gets really mad and angry at me to a point of him threatening to fire me.Just recently on Christmas Day I gotten to work as usual and he really insisted and forced a hug and a kiss on him. I got pretty furious and ran away, and he told the manager(Simon Mutavi) that I don’t respect neither follow his rules.

He insulted me but I still persevered the bitter pill, he saw that wasn’t enough and on boxing day he called me for a brief and said that I’m not important to his work I should park and leave, thus I ended up jobless because of refusing to hug and kiss him . It is really painful for me.Why should a foreigner harass me sexually in my own country?”

Y’all remember that time, about a year ago when Hassan Joho almost came to blows with Senator Mike Sonko in front of president Uhuru when he was in a month’s tour in the Coastal region?

Well, there might be an explanation for that and it’s coming straight from the horses mouth, his own father.

Mzee Joho has spoken about his son for the first time in an exclusive interview and he described him as fierce character who’s not afraid to say what’s on his mind something he might have inherited from his late mother.

For Kalembe Ndile, Christmas was all about getting wasted; he passed out after gulping down a bottle of Jack Daniel whisky. And unfortunately he was caught on camera in his drunken stupor.

Former Kibwezi MP, Kalembe Ndile, has been wagging on people’s tongues after photos of him in his drunken stupor went viral on social media.

One of the photos showed the outspoken politician knocked cold on a seat at a pub; Kalembe is thought to have had one too many as the table close to him was littered with Jack Daniel whisky and other brands of alcohol.

In another photo, a light skin mommy was smiling for the camera as she posed next to Kalembe Ndile who had passed out.

The former Kibwezi MP has since come forth to shed light on the damning pictures ruining his reputation ahead of 2017 election.

Kalembe, who is eying Mavoko parliamentary seat on a Jubilee ticket, said that he had never been in a situation depicted by the viral photos.

The wannabe MP said the pictures were photoshopped by malicious persons who intended to obstruct his 2017 ambition.

“These are people who just want to malign my name and image in the society,” Kalembe Ndile was quoted by Nairobi News.

From grass to grace! Larry Madowo reminisces about his days as a hawker

The story of Larry Madowo is a typical example of grass to grace; he has done all odd jobs (including selling mandazi in Gikomba) before he landed the lucrative TV job.

In his weekly column on Daily Nation (written in September), Larry narrated how his job at Equity bank still haunts him to date. The NTV news anchor says his position at the bank was that of a typical hawker though it was decorated to sound fancy and white collar-ish.

“A few months before I turned 20 years old, and beset by poverty, I took what is still my worst job to date. I was hired as a customer advisor for a major bank, a deliberately misleading title for a glorified hawker of the bank’s loans and credit cards.” Wrote Larry In part.

Larry further reveals he was fired from the job because he was terrible in sales job which required him to scavenge for new customers for the bank.

“I was among an army of sales representatives charged with finding new customers as well as cold-calling existing ones, telling them they had been ‘pre-approved’ for a credit card or an unsecured loan.

We were so many, that we were housed in two buildings with entire floors to ourselves. With hindsight, our leads only bit 10 per cent of the time, but that was often just sufficient to keep you on payroll if you could convince your team leader that you’d do better the following month. I was so bad at being a banker at the tail end of the food chain, which I quit after four months. Before they fired me. Ironically, I ended up as a business reporter just a year later, covering the same industry I failed in, after selling products that nobody wanted.” [sic]

The gospel singer has revealed event organizer is playing cat and mouse game with him; Willy says he was given two cheques that couldn’t be processed by the bank. The further revealed that the event organize wasn’t picking his calls.

The “Tiga Wana” hit maker has since promised to unleash his ugly side if the event organizer fails to pay him his money.

“Warning to the event organizers of PEOPLE OF THE NILE FESTIVAL that took place recently in KISUMU,if you do not pay me my money today things will get UGLY,you gave me two bouncing cheques and you knew about it n now you not picking up my calls.You did this to other artists aswell,” Willy Paul wrote.

23-year-old Otieno Jalango from Migori County has managed to avoid contracting the deadly HIV virus despite having unprotected sex with multiple partners for a long time.

Jalango’s strategy has so far yielded the expected results for him because he has unconventional sex partners.

The 23-year-old man engages in sexual activities with animals because he fears contracting the deadly HIV virus.

Jalango was caught pants down engaging in sexual activities with a neighbor’s goat on Monday December 19^th.

Residents of Muhuru Location in Nyatike Sub-County took Jalango to local chief after they busted him in the act.

Locals wanted the chief to take legal action against Jalango or seek spiritual intervention on behalf of the suspect claiming that he may be possessed by evil spirits.

This was after the suspect confessed that he had a knack for sleeping with animals because they couldn’t infect him with HIV.

“Animals cannot contract HIV, unlike humans. Sex with animals is therefore safer,” Jalango was quoted by Citizen as saying.

Jalango will be subjected to medical tests to ascertain his mental status before he can stand trial for engaging in acts of bestiality.
