“We met back in October when she came to Homeboyz to meet a famous producer who had been churning out hits. We met and talked about her intentions to have me produce her album. We did not meet again as she was still relocating to Kitengela from Lamu. We hooked up again in February and it has been bliss ever since.”

The rest of the story was meaningless except when Sappie opened up about Nazizi saying, “She has my attention and passion.“

For those of you who do not know, Prezzo, government names Jackson (Jaheim) Makini was a pilot in the making before he decided that he wanted to pursue music. So when I saw a picture of his flight back from Tanzania, it came as no surprise that he has a fascination with aeroplanes and he can actually fly them -though I am not sure he got his commercial pilot’s license.

It’s no doubt that Jaguar’s influence on youth around the country is immense. No wonder earlier this month, the celebrated singer was appointed by Nairobi Governor, Dr. Evans Kidero.

However, Jaguar has decided to snub the appointment that would have seen him sit on the Youth Advisory & Resource Mobilization Board for Nairobi County.

In a certified letter obtained by yours truly by Jaguar addressed to Kidero, the “Kioo” hitmaker cites various reasons why he turned down the appointment one of which being that he hasn’t seen what the embattled Governor has done for the youth in Nairobi.

We tried reaching Jaguar for a comment but his phone went unanswered. However, one guy from his camp reveals to us that the musician didn’t see the need to sit on that board because he’s already been doing much much more for the youth. The source adds that Jaguar allegedly told the City Hall that he’s open to work with them to aid the youth but as an outsider.

Mostly known for her love of worship and praise through her radio show, the dashingly attractive Esther Kagamba has gone ahead to win awards after awards.

However what most of her fans may not be aware of is that the Ghetto Radio host is a mum to a cute baby girl she’s greatly fond of. Her baby girl recently turned 6 months and Esther had all the sweet things to say about her.

As part of nurturing and supporting new talent, Africa on Stage is introducing Bushy Da Prince representing Isiolo.

Bushy DA Prince is a young talented uprising artist born and raised in Isiolo. He was still in high school when he started writing songs and performing in the school’s extravaganzas after he realized he had a passion for music.

But it was not till after high school that he got the opportunity to record his first song. This was in 2008. Unfortunately his first recording experience did not go exactly as planned. After coming back to pick up his recording, he found out that the studio he paid for had vacated to an unknown place

Bushy faced very many challenges but due to his strong determination, he did not lose focus or give up. His family and friends were not entirely supportive as they did not view a career in music as viable or serious enough. Hailing from Isiolo, they would rather see him focusing on their family business and their animal herds. This made things even more difficult for Busy as he had no financially or moral support for his music.

Being determined, he managed to get enough to record his first single about love- UTAM WA KUMNOKI. In his other recordings, Bushy aims at highlighting the life in Isiolo, and also putting the focus on issues that affect Kenya’s non-urban population especially in northern Kenya. He is currently working on his album.

As Anto-Neo Soul enters Nation F.M formerly Easy F.M ,another presenter is leaving the station and that is none other than Brian Oduor.

You know Brian from one of the most popular radio shows in the history of radio shows ,The Home-Run Show on Easy Fm.

Homerun was one of the most listened-to evening youth shows and its cancellation was met with a lot of disappointment especially from its die hard fans who felt that the show shouldn’t have been cancelled .Brian hosted this show alongside Ian Joe Wainaina aka Mr Cupid and Obinna.

The authoritative and eloquent presenter has left nation F.M for Urban radio where he will be hosting the drive show with Grace Makosewe.When asked why he left Nation formerly Easy F.M Brian stated that it was due to unresolved issues

Linda Okello’s tight-up skirt caused bigger waves than a tsunami when her photo surfaced on social media. Kenyans on social media were pretty excited about seeing a hot cop but her superiors frowned upon this due to the attention which the photo garnered.

We asked Singer Amani on what she thinks about Linda Okello’s tiny tight skirt and she was of the opinion that short skirts are not bad, it just depends on whether your profession allows it.

While Sauti Sol wanted everyone to shika them, no TV station dared to lay hands on the lover boys. However, it was a different all together online; the boys had numerous hands on them which explains the 386,700+ views on YouTube for Nishike.

So, there’s another ragga/dancehall music video that came out the other day and Kenyan deejays are so jittery about not knowing whether to play it or not. It’s a very hot video by all standards and meets the threshold for being on TV but it’s going nowhere near TV screens.

Called “Pita Naye”, this video was done by a fast-rising dancehall artist, FiDi Twisky, and if he maintains these standards, the likes of Wyre and Nameless will soon be shoved off.
