GHAFLA POLL: Do You Think Lupita Nyong’o Looked Good In This Prada Dress?

Earlier today I came across a picture of Lupitah Nyong’o in a Prada dress that looks to me like rags. But I realize that there might be fashionistas who actually find this dress quite the fashion statement. So I want to give you an opportunity to tell me exactly what they think about this piece.

Is it an inspiring fashion piece or just rags? You tell me what you think below:

Capital FM Radio Presenter And Twitter Bigwig Joe Muchiri Cruelly Makes Fun Of Tanzanian Diva Ray-C. Calls Her A ‘Momo’

After her life took a grim turn in Kenya when she overdosed, Ray-C left for her country and got clean with the help of The Tanzanian President.

After she left rehab, Ray C has gained some weight and if recent photos are anything to go by she has lost some color.
Capital F.M’s Joe Muchiri took to Instagram and made some snide remarks about Ray-C’s new development. This is what he wrote

“Ray C aka Ray Casper the friendly ghost ..Smh who slapped her face with a bag of flour on the face. Elephant arms ndio zake Looool momo tingz…”

Young Kenyan Muslim Makes Fun Of Chipukeezy By Comparing Him To The Al Shabaab Blasts Along Thika Road

The thing about faith is that if we profess it, whatever it may be, we fully represent it. We are the ambassadors of our faith. As a Christian, I should be the best example of one. If I am a Muslim, I must be a positive beacon of Islam. i must never give others an excuse to talk ill about my faith.

And in this day and age of sectarian and religious strife, this is more important than ever. So it was with alot of indignation that I came across a tweef between Chipukeezy and a hateful harry sipping haterade as I trawled the internets for news.

Actually, in all honestly the level of stupidity and poor taste displayed by one @Abdulsamad254  was not just shocking, it was despicable. I read the tweef with nothing but disgust as I watched a YoloSwag idiot make fun of the suffering meted out by al Kebab on kenyan citizen.

This is how it all started:

After these blasts, Chipukeezy is the next disaster in our entertainment industry….he forces jokes down your throat. Blegh….

And Chipukeezy replied to this disgusting diatribe with this:

@Davidleekanyi @Abdulsamad254 its nice to hate but not that way my brother

@chipukeezyvini I presume you responded without reading it twice..I never ‘joked’ on the blasts..plus I don’t hate anyone’s hustle. so..

@chipukeezyvini opinions on many topics that some don’t agree with you while others do, but it’s your ‘own’ opinion.

@Abdulsamad254 just get the sense an move on!!i have never done this but you really pissed me.

@chipukeezyvini Move on? you should be the one to move on..I don’t even pay attention to this argument. I’m just replying to your 2 sense.

However, after the fool realized he had gone too far, he deleted his tweets.

Lupita Shows Up At The Met Ball In A Prada Dress That Looks Like Rags (PHOTO)

Say what you will about Lupita, but the lass is not just talented, she has an eye for fashion. However, be that as it may, she made a huge error coming out in a Prada dress that looks like rags stuck together. Maybe this is what is referred to as “high fashion” but to me this is all nonsense. This is like Kanya West putting out crappy videos (Bound 2) because he knows that whatever he cosigns will sell.

Speaking of Kanye, Lupita has made the same error he made when he came out in some “high fashion” nonsense skirt! The dress Lupita stepped out in for the Met Ball might hjave been Prada but I guarantee that this madness wouldn’t even be seen in the most poverty ravished areas of Kenya!
They say fashion can be divisive as their is no middle ground -you either like it or you don’t but this? Na lai! Check out the dress below:

ATTENTION WOMEN: Check Out How Grace Msalame Stays In Shape And Maintains Her Curves Even After Having Twin Daughters! (PHOTO)

Grace Msalame is one of the most beautiful women about and a true testament to the studies that claim that curvy women are more intelligent than… We leave it at that! But one thing I must say is that I have never figured out just how she managed to hold on to her curvacious body even after having two daughters.

Then the answer landed on my laptop screen and I just had to share it with all the women wondering where the hubby’s interest went after you bore him those lovely children (I figure I may aswell be nice about your brats -cos let’s face it, not everyone is going to have angels).

And this is how to salvage your self esteem and marriage:

GHAFLA POLL: Between Elani, Sauti Sol, Sarabi Or H_art The Band Which Kenyan Band/Group Is Currently The Best?

Of late, we have seen the rise of actual music. Not club bangers, not pop nonsense but actual music. Authentic music if you will and I for one happen to be very excited because I feel we are getting closer to making Kenya the centre for African music which would be a dream come true for me ut away from that, this seems to be the season of the bands.

And so I want to find out just which band you think has been the hottest. Is it Sauti Sol with their erotic jam “Nishike”? Or is it Elani with “Kookoo”? Or could it be Sarabi with “Sheria”? Or perhaps H_art The Band with Uliza Kiatu? Have your say below:

Capital FM’s Amina 7 Months Pregnant By DJ John Rabar Of Homeboyz

It was a while back when I exclusively broke the story about Amina being preggers. That was before anyone else did, not even Capital beat me to this one. However, I must give the devil his due; Pulse beat me to this particular story. A story which I must commend Stevens Muendo for getting before I did.

Now then, allow me to say that I was reading the Pulse online when I came across a story about Amina. It was actually an interview about her pregnancy. And the lass opened up and told the nation that she is pregnant by DJ John of the Homeboyz media empire.
And not only that, she is married by the man.

http://distilleryimage4.ak.instagram.com/072d35749eda11e389901298902a90b0_7.jpg

BNut more on the pregnancy, she is set to have a daughter by the man who was at one point her boss. Wonder whether that ever got awkward for the pair cos I for one know I would never want to date ANY of my co-workers…

Anyway, blessing to the couple and the bundle of joy on it’s way!

Attention Nairobi: This Is The Hottest Place To Party! Check Out The Celebs Who Flock The Joint(PHOTO GALLERY)

I had heard alot of talk from my colleagues about a new club that had opened up just at Krishna Centre. For those of you not in the know, that is right across Molly’s. So over the weekend I was invited out and I, God’s Chosen Blogger decided to party. I was not disappointed!

The club attracts a mature crowd so you know when you go out you will not have to deal with drunk children. And now to the ambiance, this is the sort of place that you want to come to and chill out and enjoy a cold one after a long day of work. But don’t be fooled, it is also where you want to “Turn Up!” so you know you and the friends can have a good time. Unlike most places, the service is fast and friendly. Quick to serve and they always wear a smile.

Check out the joint below:

Chipukeezy was in the house.

Rapper Kristoff was in the building popping bottles!

Looky here, an actual dance floor!

How much is a beer? 250/- And why should you party here? If you ask me such a question, you must be 12 or 18. Whatever the case, I’m not trying to catch it! This is a joint for adults. I’m talking about guys mature enough to have a good time and still handle their liquor!

Check Out STL’s Benz With A Customized Number Plate (PHOTO)

STL recently released a hot track titled “Koolio” which features her showcasing her rap talents but singing (more like chanting) the hook with a heavily accented droll but that is all just part of her hallmark creativity. But that said and done, the lass is enjoying the fruits of her labour and what a buy she has been enjoying.

While most of her peers are lucky to even get themselves a Toyota (such is the sad state of Kenyan entertainment), she has hassled hard and can get herself a German automobile. And then pay to get customized plates on it. Check out her ride below:

Classic 105’s Former Presenter Ciku Muiruri Weighs In On Kalonzo Musyoka’s Tribal Slur

About a week ago, former V.P Kalonzo Musyoka refused to respond to a journalist’s question based on his name. According to reports, the former V.P refused to answer the  Q Tv’s reporter question on the basis of his surname ‘Muriithi’.

KOT vociferously condemned  the careless remarks forcing an apology from the former V.P.

After KOT expressed their opinion about the said issue, former radio presenter Ciku Muiruri weighed in too.

“When Kalonzo Musyoka refused to answer a question from a journalist last week because “his name betrayed him” – Ostensibly in reference to the scribe’s tribe- I was dumbfounded. After everything this country has been through, all the needless blood that has been spilt in the name of tribes, it’s hard to believe that a leader would say something as irresponsible as that. What on earth was he thinking?”

Adding that:

“ Kalonzo’s comments stood out because there HAS been a shift in how we view ourselves. A decade ago, his comment wouldn’t have merited a mention anywhere. Now it #trended and was discussed extensively. So, yes, we are not quite where we need to be but we will get there. So long as we continue to clearly and steadily denounce such comments – Poor show, Kalonzo, poor show! ”

Sophie Wanuna is one of the most beautiful and intelligent lasses on Kenyan TV and she recently celebrated her Nth birthday and to show her just how much she means to him, her man took her for an intimate out of town outing and we managed to get our mitts on the pictures.

And in all of them, the lass is shining like a beauty in love. No I do not envy the lad but it is rather heart warming to see someone else in love (I am a love atheist). So l  decided to share the pictures. Check them out below:

Controversial Dancehall Artist Exposes ‘Sinful’ Gospel Artists

Controversy and dancehall artiste Blaqy Blaq have been linked more often than a chain of sausages.

After accusing top radio presenters fro trading sex for airplay and money for airplay, he ruffled the feathers of Nairobi girls by lashing out at their skimpy dressing. The dust had barely settled on that beef than he started beefing with Risper Faith.

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-xNB6ffgN1hQ/UukPSvua2SI/AAAAAAADPlE/lL3lQ-9xLIs/s1600/3.jpg

By the look of things you had better bring out your barbeque sauce because beef season is far from over. Blaqy is now hitting at Gospel artistes accusing them of being hypocritical due to the fact that they drink and deny that they do not drink in order to maintain a pristine image as Gospel artistes.

In the clip he names the likes of Willy Paul and Ringtone, you can watch the entertaining clip below:

‘Niokoe’ Karen Lucas (Kaz) Begs

Karen Lucas is known to millions of television viewers across Africa as Kaz from the hit TV reality show ‘Project Fame’, where she was infamous for her quirky and sometimes controversial antics.

Her vivacious nature, charismatic stage presence, and mesmerising soulful vocals continuously impressed the panel of judges, and she was one of the last contestants to be voted off.

After her successful run on Project Fame, Kaz went back to work and begun to do more shows.  In 2006 Kaz’s hard work, paid off when she launched her debut album “Somin, the one we were looking for” at a Nairobi restaurant.  The launch was attended by hundreds and the album was well received.  It was not long (within a month!!) before her debut album was sold out.

Her second album was released at the end of 2013. A Christmas album titled ‘Christmas with Kaz and Sage’ where she featured upcoming and multitalented singer Sage.

She is currently starring in the TV show ‘State House’, a political drama that airs weekly on Zuku Entertainment and is working on her second album ‘The naked truth is…’

Here is a preview of the 3rd track, Niokoe  from the upcoming album

Gloria Muliro & Willy Paul turn down Groove Awards Nominations

Groove Awards are the biggest awards in Gospel ministry in Kenya and last week they revealed which artistes will battle out for the coveted awards.

While we all love awards ceremony because celebs glam up for the red carpet, this year award winning Gospel singer, Gloria Muliro and “her son” Willy Paul will not be taking part in the Groove Awards 2014.

In a statement, the “Msaidizi” hit-maker explains that she and Willy Paul won’t be part of the awards because she’s not selfish.

“Hi my Friends, fans. About the ongoing groove awards, I would like to tell you that I am not contesting this year because I decided to step down and pave way for my fellow artists to whom I would love to see them prosper in this music industry. I believe that there are so many young talents out there who are working hard and who need such a motivation more than I do and that is why my son Willy Paul and I will not be contesting in the awards this year because we were lucky to get the same last year. We’ve won different awards even from outside the country and so we decided to let the struggling young Talents to have a share of the cake, also because we might appear to be selfish.
I respect the organizers of Groove awards and am ready and willing to work together with them.”

Commenting about the same Willy Paul said;

“… this year we are giving way to new talents… the upcoming artists struggle alot… very hard working let them enjoy the fruit of their hard work.”

Jaguar Skips Kilimanjaro Awards after Organizers Failed to Meet His Demands

One advantage of being a (larger-than-life) celebrity is being able to make absurd demands and actually having them fulfilled. You want a glass of Moët & Chandon? Done. How about having escorts delivered at your room’s door? Sure, why not?

Those are just some examples of celeb demands.

So, over the weekend, Jaguar was supposed to travel to Tanzania for Kilimanjaro Awards 2014 in which he had been nominated for an award. However, he was conspicuously missing as he opted to stay behind and perform at Refigah’s “grandpa of weddings” wedding.

According to sources, Jaguar’s demands were never met by the organizers and that’s why he wasn’t ready to get on a plane to Bongo. Allegedly, the “Kioo” hit-maker had requested for a business class plane ticket, 5-star hotel accommodation, chauffeured car and of course security; the very same treatment he receives when he travel to other countries.

However, the organizers were not ready to dig deeper into their pockets to facilitate this, hence Jaguar’s absence at the awards.

Speaking to Jaguar, however, he says that he wasn’t attending an event where he’s not being treated right and that he’d rather attend Refigah’s wedding.

“I will only go there when they start treating Kenyan artistes well,” declares Jaguar.

Apparently, he had even given them the option of using his Cessna plane on condition that they will fuel it. But that was never to be.

The ban seems to have spurred the video into virality as over the weekend, Nishike crossed 200,000+ views mark on YouTube.

While Kenyans Are Busy Hitting Out At Her, This Is What Anita Nderu Is Up To (PHOTO)

Over the weekend, word went round that Anita Nderu had incurred the wrath of Kenyans on Twitter *shudder*! And while I didn’t care who said what and what that resulted in, I decided to check out the tweets. And boy were they funny! They were right in the mould of tweets that I have seen in the past from Kenyans on Twitter or as someone with an abundance of wit begun calling them, Kenyans On Twitter Defense Forces -funny as hell!

But it would seem she has refused to allow the jibes and jokes and trolls to get underneath her skin. And the LOLs as funny as they were have been left on twitter. This is what she has been upto:

Work. She has refused to let anyone’s opinion bring her down. She has decided to concentrate on what it is she does for a living and enjoys doing. Smart lass.
