5 International Celebrities That Have Been Robbed While On A Visit To Kenya. Sean Paul’s Incident Was The Most Shocking (Photos)
Some crooks have been busy denting the country’s reputation on the face of the world with their distasteful profession. These anonymous thieves have made international stars develop cold feet when they think of visiting Kenya.
Most international celebrities who have been robbed in Kenya didn’t even know they lost their valuables, not until when they checked later on. It seems the thieves were kind enough to politely steal from them.

First on our radar is Sean Paul. He lost his phone in Kenya at a time when handsets were the privilege of the rich. Back then in 2004, for an ordinary person to own a phone, they would have parted way with a large chunk of their three month salary or even taken a loan.
Sean Paul had just finished dropping a thrilling performance at Carnivore when he was approached by fans who carried him up high in appreciation of his electrifying gig. The Jamaican star didn’t know the thieves were only masquerading as fans and that their main objective was to take his phone.
Just like that, Sean Paul lost his costly smart phone which had very important personal data. The incident annoyed the ragga artist that he decided to snob Kenya and opted to perform in Uganda during his next visit to East Africa.

Next victim is Glen Washington. The reggae singer is also said to have lost his phone during a visit to the country. The phone was rumored to have been stolen by a popular female radio presenter who was seen seated close to Glen before it went missing.

Mama G or better known as Patience Ozokwor has also been a victim of theft when she visited the country in 2011.
The Nigerian actress lost her phone while she was in company of other Nollywood stars. Mama G had visited University of Nairobi where she had an interactive session with students before heading to Brookhouse to address drama club members.
It’s believed Mama G lost her phone somewhere while attending the two events. Between students of Brookhouse and University of Nairobi, who would you bet your money are the most likely culprits?

Another reggae star who lost a phone in Kenya is Tarrus Riley. The Jamaican was robbed of his iPhone during a press conference held at the posh Sankara Hotel in 2012. Even after a thorough search, Tarrus’ iPhone couldn’t be located.
He is said to have pleaded with the thief to return his sim card and keep the phone for themselves but the heartless thug (s) couldn’t hear any of his plea.

Last but not least is Nigerian heartthrob, Davido. Come to notice this list is dominated by Jamaicans and Nigerians. Seems they are thieves’ magnet!
Davido lost his phone at the exquisite Skylux Lounge after dropping a not so impressive performance at Carnivore. It seems the thief was making him pay; how could folks spend been 2500-8000k then you are just in a hurry on stage! Anyway, the first suspect should be the pretty ladies who were surrounding him. Si that’s how detectives starts investigating crime; from the general to the specific.
Well, I feel too bad for these international celebrities but they should know better. Not all those hanging with them during their concerts have good intentions, some are thieves!
