Akon Touches Down At JKIA (Photos) #AirtelMusic

Revered pop superstar, Akon, has arrived in the 254 for Airtel Trace Music Star Pan-African Grand Finale. The continent’s biggest music competition is happening today at Enashipai Resort and Spa in Naivasha.

Akon arrived with a team of well-known celebrities that includes Devyne Stephens, a well-respected Music mogul that discovered the likes of Jay Z, P Diddy, Alicia Keys, Usher, Mariah Carey, Akon himself and many other music pundits.

The winner of the first ever phone-song competition will be crowned in a spectacular Grand Finale; Kenya is being represented by Benjamin Webi who was crowned the country’s winner in January this year.

Webi will battle it out for the grand prize with 12 other contestants from Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Madagascar, Malawi, Nigeria, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Chad, Congo Brazzaville, The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Gabon.
