The former radio queen reminded her dad of the great stride their family had made since he left them. She informed her dad his family had grown big and his children were succeeding in their respective endeavors.

Hi daddy, on this day, 27 years ago, you fell asleep. Our family has since grown. You have 10 grandchildren now. And dad, they are amazing! Pati is a radio presenter. Njeri is not only a pilot (at 21), she is also an instructor and teaching people twice her age how to fly. Joe, your namesake, has played football for our national side and was in Brazil for the World Cup with the rest of his team. Erica run the Chicago marathon and raised an amazing Sh10.2 million for mobile blood units, here she is with the First Lady and separately with the Deputy President’s wife. And how CUTE are the babies? Not too shabby these grandchildren of yours. Your distinction and high standing is visible in each and every one of them. You must be proud! I love you. I miss you.
