Kagwe Mungai Calls Out Today’s Most Overrated Artists

There are two words that artistes normally loath: underrated and overrated. Some will prefer underrated because, though it sounds negative, it is used to appreciate artists who are doing well but are looked down upon.

Overrated is a word that many see as defamatory.

Perhaps this is why Kagwe Mungai declined to give his views on the same.

In an exclusive interview with Ghafla Kenya, Kagwe excused himself from mentioning the most overrated artistes in Kenya, despite the fact that he knows who they are.

Kagwe was, however, categorical when he said that overrated artists are those that produce the same music over and over again and whose music will be valueless in years to come.

On his part, Kagwe added that he really does not care when people underrate him because he strongly believes in himself.
