This is Why Hero Radio Plans To Shut Kenyatta Avenue
Nakuru’s dominant radio station, Hero Radio, plans to shut the town’s main bloodline, Kenyatta Avenue, for a good cause.

Leading radio station in Rift Valley and Western Kenya, Hero Radio, has teamed up with stakeholders in advocating for careful driving this festive season.
The campaign dubbed “Be A Hero” will be officially launched tomorrow by the Governor of Nakuru County, Kinuthia Mbugua. The event will take place in Nakuru’s Kenyatta Avenue; the whole avenue will be closed tomorrow. Among the activities expected during the launch include: rally cars drills, skaters, and sports bike drills. Kenya Red Cross will be doing some rescue drills to showcase their preparedness in handling accidents or even grenade/bomb attacks.
Performances for the event will be from top artists and hero Radio DJs. Some of the partners include Nakuru Traffic police, County Government of Nakuru, National Transport and safety Authority, Red Cross and Menengai Oil. The slogan of the campaign is; “Be A Hero Speak Up Keep Our Roads Safe.”
