Kenyans You Better Brace Yourself For This Artiste Because He Sure Deserves Your Round of Applauses

Emerging as the best artiste of the year from any awards ceremony is not easy by any means and one first rising musician Xpat Mkwanja just did it during Tecno Vybez Awards.

Xpat Mkwanja bags home the Best Artiste of the Year Award in the Tecno Vybez Awards, which recognizes talent in Nyanza and western Kenya. The award seek to recognize upcoming and underground musician and also give them a platform to showcase that they are made of. The award is at its third year now.

Xpat Mkwanja had other nominations in the Best video category for the song Boom Shakalaka, BEST HIP HOP, and BEST MALE ARTIST. Xpat Mkwanja’s controversial video “tear it up” and recently released video Boom Shakalaka (which is currently playing in big brother africa house), are among the factors that contributed to his recognition as the top artiste in the region. The main deciding factor was voting by fans through SMS.
