Kiss FM’s Adelle Onyango Lashes Out at Bloggers For ‘Biased’ Reporting of Rape Cases

The recent news hitting the headline about Standard Media Group’s Tony Mochama allegedly molesting a woman has not sank well with Adelle especially by the way bloggers are about writing it.

Adelle is not pleased at with bloggers by the way they write about victims of rape; she laments that bloggers give more emphasis on the perpetrator and overlooking the wellbeing of the victim. Her beef with us bloggers is that we do not dare care ask if the victim is fine we just rush to shine the light one the doer of the offence instead.

Well I agree with her to some extent but I also like to enlighten her just a little bit. In the case of Tony Mochama incident; it was Wambui Mwangi who broke the news and she never mentioned the victim’s name. It is so uncertain that Adelle herself was a victim of sex assault and the recent incident is really a shocker to her; my sincere empathy and I can assure her once we get enough information about the victim we sure will work something on it.

It sucks that very few people/blogs/bigwigs tried to find out if the victim was ok. I guess it’s more fun to bully “twitter feminists”.
