Paco Renteria Concert Dinner- This is how it went down!!
Nairobi 11th September 2014………Members of the diplomatic core enjoyed an evening of great Mexican music and cuisine at the Villa Rosa Kempinski hotel Nairobi. The guests were treated to a thrilling performance by the flamboyant Mexican guitar player Paco Renteria.
Paco who was very excited to be in the country, amongst other tunes also played the good oldie Jambo Jambo Kenya to a cheering crowd. “I am very excited to be in Kenya, the people the hospitality is great I really enjoyed my stay”
The event sponsored by Kempinski hotel and the Mexican embassy was a pre hype to the Mexican Independence Day which will be marked on 16thSeptember 2014 . “We have brought a part of Mexico to Kenya today through our music and our cuisine and we are glad to share it with our friends” said Mireya Dominguez the acting ambassador of Mexico.

The glamorous event was graced by ambassadors from different embassies and consulates. Also in attendance was Lupita Nyong’o’s family who came to pay homage to their second home. A full Mexican dinner was served to the guests after the electric performance by Paco and his band
