” Why I Did The World Cup Anthem In Sheng” Octopizzo

Octopizzo, Lady Jay Dee and Brazilian-American ‘X Factor’ Finalist, David Correy, were this year selected by Coca Cola (official sponsors of World Cup) to come up with a non-official song alongside the official 2014 FIFA World Cup song.

People initially laughed at Octopizzo when he said that he would sing the world cup anthem in Sheng. But that did not deter him and he refused to rap in English opting to rap in sheng.

He informs us that he chose to perform the song in Sheng because a large number of his fans speak sheng and could relate to the lyrics. He also aimed to showcase the sheng language on an international platform.
