StarBorn Is My Labour Of Love: Anto-Neosoul
Since he first came into the limelight, Anto Neo-soul’s music has never disappointed, his music has classic and legend written all over it. And his latest album Star Born did not dissatisfy either.
In his own words AntoNeosoul describes this as the journey of a thousand miles and feels that though he isn’t at the destination he desires, he is at a creative crossroads that is unshakable.
“This album is my prayer, it is a thanksgiving moment. I have laid myself bare in this album and for the last two years I have been through everything anyone can think of. I have been beat up by industry mentors who turned into devils advocates. People who I looked up to who did not waste any chance to bring me down. I have lost faith in music, nearly given up because of lies, deceit and industry cartels but I chose to pray, I chose to fight back with my music. The only three things I could cling on to were my mother, my music and God. I had chosen to get out of my deal with Pine Creek Records because I wasn’t strong enough, I wasn’t patient enough, I wasn’t ready for the drama but after the last two years, I have realized I am now refined. I have been molded into a star and thus STARBORN.
I am the result of hard work, patience and passion. This album is my labor of love. I have become a better writer because I had myself to rely on; I have become a better singer because I am now more than ever honest in my approach, execution and delivery. I am my own jury and executioner.
I hope that this album will speak to everyone who dares to listen. To those who wait…they will get in; they will make it.”
